Revisão Sistemática de Literatura como Base para a Construção de um Catálogo de Apoio Terapêutico e Educacional para Pessoas com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA)
No full textEste estudo apresenta uma revisão sistemática da literatura sobre tecnologias digitais voltadas para o apoio terapêutico e educacional de pessoas com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA), visando subsidiar o desenvolvimento de um catálogo digital. Por meio de uma metodologia alinhada ao protocolo PRISMA, foram analisados 139 artigos encontrados em cinco bases de dados científicas, resultando na seleção de 24 estudos relevantes. Os resultados destacam tendências no uso de aplicativos móveis, softwares de comunicação alternativa aumentativa e jogos digitais para o desenvolvimento de habilidades sociais e cognitivas. Barreiras como acessibilidade, custo e usabilidade foram amplamente relatadas, reforçando a necessidade de um catálogo centralizado que categorize tecnologias eficazes e acessíveis. Este trabalho busca contribuir para a construção de um catálogo digital inovador, promovendo maior inclusão e qualidade de vida para indivíduos com TEA, além de servir como referência para profissionais da saúde, educação e cuidadores. A proposta também identifica lacunas na literatura e aponta direções para futuras pesquisas e iniciativas no campo das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação aplicadas ao TEA.This study presents a systematic literature review on digital technologies aimed at therapeutic and educational support for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), with the goal of supporting the development of a digital catalog. Using a methodology aligned with the PRISMA protocol, 139 articles were analyzed from five scientific databases, resulting in the selection of 24 relevant studies. The findings highlight trends in the use of mobile applications, augmentative and alternative communication software, and digital games for the development of social and cognitive skills. Barriers such as accessibility, cost, and usability were widely reported, emphasizing the need for a centralized catalog that categorizes effective and accessible technologies. This work aims to contribute to the development of an innovative digital catalog, promoting greater inclusion and quality of life for individuals with ASD, while serving as a reference for healthcare professionals, educators, and caregivers. The study also identifies gaps in literature and suggests directions for future research and initiatives in the field of Information and Communication Technologies applied to ASD

No full textStarting from the Tyrell Corporation's motto, "more human than human", as an expression of a world project inherent to technological civilisation, to which we unequivocally belong, my aim is to show that in the various designations - scientific and cultural - of what corresponds to the Age of Man, proposed by geologists, lies an unsurpassed paradox. It's not actually the homo humanus that shapes it, but the mere anthropic correlate of the observable universe. This reference, which comes from astrophysics, consists of an "intelligence", conceived as eminently neutral, alien to the world of life and lacking empathy, and, therefore, destined never to be properly human, but in the manner of what is now called AI.Partindo do lema da Tyrell Corporation, “more human than human”, como expressão de um projeto de mundo inerente à civilização tecnológica, a que pertencemos inequivocamente, procurarei mostrar que nas designações várias – científicas e culturais – do que corresponde à Idade do Homem, proposta pelos geólogos, reside um insuperado paradoxo. Exploring temporal dimensions of benefits realisation management in agile IT environments
No full textThis study explored the temporal dimensions of benefits realisation management (BRM) in agile IT project management environments. BRM, focused on aligning strategy with project execution, is inherently temporal, requiring the consideration of past, present, and future outcomes, as well as both short- and long-term benefits. This research explored BRM in agile IT project management through a temporal lens. Adopting a 'time as process' lens, our interest was in how actors collectively negotiate, enact, and interconnect the present, past, and future. Through qualitative interviews and a focus group, we examined how agile methods, specifically Scrum and SAFe, interact with BRM processes across different time perspectives. The findings identify challenges such as (1) limited availability of past project data, (2) neglect of long-term benefits, and (3) lack of harmonisation between past, present, and future considerations in benefits realisation. The paper contributes to project management literature by emphasising the importance of temporal leadership in navigating these challenges and improving the harmonisation of past, present, and future actions in BRM
The use of short stories to improve literacy in a bilingual context
No full textThis study stems from an ongoing doctoral research project and presents preliminary results on the role of the short story in improving the literacy of 6th grade students in Angola, especially in a rural area characterised by bilingualism. The work involved 39 students, seven parents and two teachers. The central theme was the reading of short stories. We adopted a qualitative research paradigm complemented by a limited quantitative analysis. Content analysis and descriptive statistics were used as study methods. The study found a low level of literacy among the students, a lack of textbooks on literary texts, the students' mother tongue is not the same as the language of instruction, and a lack of teacher specialisation in the teaching of Portuguese. A preliminary conclusion is the lack of use of the short story as a teaching strategy, which has hampered the teaching-learning process.Este estudo decorre de um projeto de investigação de doutoramento em curso e apresenta resultados preliminares sobre o papel do conto na melhoria da literacia de alunos do 6.º ano em Angola, especialmente numa zona rural caracterizada pelo bilinguismo. O trabalho envolveu 39 alunos, sete pais e dois professores. O tema central foi a leitura de contos. Adotámos um paradigma de investigação qualitativa complementado por uma análise quantitativa limitada. A análise de conteúdo e a estatística descritiva foram utilizadas como métodos de estudo. O estudo constatou um baixo nível de literacia entre os alunos, a falta de livros didáticos sobre textos literários, o facto de a língua materna dos alunos não ser a mesma que a língua de ensino e a falta de especialização dos professores no ensino do português. Uma conclusão preliminar é a falta de utilização do conto como estratégia de ensino, o que tem dificultado o processo de ensino-aprendizagem
Trust, Trustworthiness and the Moral Dimension in human-AI Interactions
No full textThe growing use of Autonomous Agents (AAs) in both private and public sectors raises crucial questions about trust. As AI systems take on increasingly complex tasks and decisions, their interactions with human agents (HAs) raise questions about the relevance and applicability of traditional philosophical concepts of trust and trustworthiness (sections 1 and 2). In this paper, I will explore the nuances of trust in AAs, arguing against both the complete dismissal of trust as misplaced (section 4) and the application of “genuine” trust frameworks (section 5). My aim is to lay the groundwork for the understanding that the moral complexity of interactions with AAs goes beyond the mere reliance we place on inanimate objects (section 6)

No full textAs profissões vinculadas à produção cultural e aquelas associadas ao setor de serviços compartilham certas características que não são facilmente identificáveis se nos limitarmos às tarefas formalmente atribuídas e reconhecidas nesses espaços de trabalho. No entanto, ao focarmos nos efeitos negativos que provocam em quem as exerce, torna-se possível avaliar alguns prejuízos comuns. Por meio de uma série de entrevistas, este estudo tem como objetivo identificar danos físicos, desgaste emocional e presença de pressão estética em um conjunto de atividades relacionadas ao setor de serviços e à produção artística e intelectual. O desgaste físico e os danos associados são tomados como indicadores daquilo que chamaremos de exploração econômica. Por outro lado, apresentaremos o surgimento de exigências estéticas, bem como o desgaste emocional, como uma forma de exploração cultural. Por fim, analisaremos situações que ilustram o que poderíamos chamar de uma utopia realizável. Nelas, o trabalho necessário de reprodução dos corpos está condicionado apenas pelas exigências de atividades que são claramente definidas e dotadas de sentido.Professions linked to cultural production and those associated with the service sector share certain characteristics that are not easily identifiable if we limit ourselves to considering the tasks formally assigned and recognised as belonging to those who work in these fields. However, by focusing on the negative effects experienced by those engaged in such work, it is possible to assess some common harms. Through a series of interviews, this study aims to detect physical damage, emotional exhaustion, and the presence of aesthetic pressure in a set of activities connected with the service sector and with artistic and intellectual production. Physical strain and associated harm are taken as indicators of what we call economic exploitation. On the other hand, we present the emergence of aesthetic demands, as well as emotional exhaustion, as form of cultural exploitation. Finally, we analyse situations that illustrate what we might describe as a realisable utopia. In these, the necessary work of reproducing bodies is only

El objetivo de este texto es analizar los retos que plantea la aplicación administrativa del principio de proporcionalidad, especialmente en lo que se refiere a las sugerencias (críticas) del análisis económico de la medida de la proporcionalidad.The comfort offered by the principle of proportionality in rationalising a reasoned decision can often be illusory given its limitations, internal as well as external, arising from the lack of elements that would allow its correct application or the limitations of legal training in its use. A responsabilidade social das empresas: um olhar sobre a nova Diretiva CSDDD
No full textA Responsabilidade Social das Empresas (RSE) e a Governação Societária, durante muito tempo alheias à malha jurídica que sustentava a atuação empresarial, têm vindo a assumir, nos últimos anos, o monopólio do discurso das empresas, desempenhando um papel fundamental na sua estratégia e gestão. Não sendo nova, esta questão tem ganho destaque, fruto da tomada de consciência, pelos vários agentes económicos, do impacto que as organizações empresariais desempenham sobre os direitos humanos e o ambiente. A nova CSDDD – ao obrigar as empresas a identificar, prevenir e mitigar os impactos negativos que possam resultar da sua atividade – representa um marco incontornável no contexto da governação empresarial transnacional e um importante compromisso político assumido entre os Estados-Membros da União Europeia. Esta Diretiva faz nascer no plano jurídico uma obrigação legal vinculativa de devida diligência, reforçando a RSE e assegurando que as boas práticas sociais e ambientais não são retóricas, mas antes controladas e monitorizadas de forma séria, responsável e transparente. A RSE já não é, hoje, uma opção (ética) das organizações empresariais, mas um dever e uma necessidade estratégica, que tem de integrar a governação societária, sob pena de se prejudicar a sustentabilidade empresarial. No presente artigo, faz-se uma reflexão sobre o objetivo primordial das sociedades comerciais (a obtenção de lucro), examinando-se a perene controvérsia em torno do seu interesse social (shareholder value vs. stakeholder value vs. interesse social iluminado). Analisam-se, ainda, os deveres dos administradores e o regime da sua responsabilidade civil, convocando-se, para o debate, a business judgement rule, que protege decisões empresariais tomadas de modo diligente e informado. Por fim, apresenta-se criticamente o regime jurídico da CSDDD, refletindo-se sobre o impacto destas obrigações na cadeia de atividades, o (de)mérito da sua extraterritorialidade, a eficácia do regime sancionatório e de responsabilidade civil, o esforço (eventualmente excessivo?) de regulamentação e as vantagens que podem (ou não) estar a si associadas.Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Governance, for a long time unknown to the legal framework that supported corporate action, have in recent years become the monopoly of corporate discourse, playing a fundamental role in their strategy and management. Although not trailblazing, this issue has gained prominence as a result of the awareness of multiple economic agents of the impact that business organisations have on human rights and the environment. The new CSDDD - by obliging companies to identify, prevent and mitigate negative impacts that may result from their activity - represents an unavoidable milestone in the context of transnational corporate governance and an important political commitment made by the Member States of the European Union. This Directive gives rise to a binding legal obligation of due diligence, reinforcing CSR and ensuring that good social and environmental practices are not rhetorical, but are controlled and monitored in a serious, responsible and transparent manner. Today, CSR is no longer an (ethical) option for business organisations, but a duty and a strategic necessity that must be part of corporate governance, otherwise corporate sustainability will be jeopardised. This article reflects on the primary objective of commercial companies (making a profit), examining the perennial controversy surrounding their social interest (shareholder value vs. stakeholder value vs. enlightened social interest). The duties of directors and their civil liability are also analysed, and the business judgement rule, which protects business decisions made in a diligent and informed manner, is brought into the debate. Finally, the CSDDD legal regime is critically presented, reflecting on the impact of these obligations on the chain of activities, the (de)merit of their extraterritoriality, the effectiveness of the sanctions and tort law, the (possibly excessive?) regulatory effort and the advantages that may (or may not) be associated with it
O conceito de soberania, hoje: breves notas
No full textThis text is a critical exploration of the concept of sovereignty, in order to understand some of the legal-normative relationships that are established in the field of international law and, above all, the legal-political character of what is perhaps the most complicated political experience to understand from a dogmatic point of view: federalism. We begin by laying the foundations for the discussion by presenting the concepts of politics, authority and sovereignty, before moving on to the problem of the absolute nature of the latter. We conclude that sovereignty must be understood at the crossroads of two dichotomies: internal and external sovereignty, and potestas and potentia – sovereignty as power and sovereignty as the exercise of a power, the former presupposing the possibility of limiting the latter. Understood in this way, some questions about the absolute nature of sovereignty (and its potential use and usefulness as a dogmatic concept with practical importance) may become clearer.O presente texto é uma exploração crítica sobre o conceito de soberania, por forma a conseguir compreender algumas das relações jurídico-normativas que se estabelecem no campo do direito internacional e, sobretudo, qual o carácter jurídico-político daquela que é, talvez, a experiência política mais complicada de compreender do ponto de vista dogmático: o federalismo. Começamos por estabelecer as bases da discussão ao apresentar os conceitos de política, autoridade e soberania, antes de passar para o problema do carácter absoluto deste último. Concluímos que a soberania tem de ser entendida num cruzamento de duas dicotomias: soberania interna e externa, e potestas e potentia – soberania como poder e soberania como exercício de um poder, sendo que o primeiro pressupõe a possibilidade de limitação do segundo. Entendido assim, algumas questões sobre o carácter absoluto de soberania (e do seu potencial uso e utilidade como conceito dogmático e com importância prática) podem ficar mais compreensíveis
