Responsible PhD candidate supervision: Developing, validating and piloting a measurement instrument
Responsible supervision of PhD candidates can foster integrity in research. This study aims to develop a questionnaire to measure responsible supervision by surveying both PhD candidates and their supervisors. The questionnaire combines responsible research practices and the extent to which the supervisor creates an open atmosphere where dilemmas can be safely discussed

The impact of dance movement therapy on traumatized refugee women - A controlled trial
Research Question: Can an eight session dance movement therapy program improve the health of traumatized refugee women? Specifically, we examine:
1. What is the effect of DMT on the reduction of trauma symptoms (depression, anxiety, stress and trauma proper), and the increase in coping compared to waiting list controls [data from standardized questionnaires (here RHS-15), in form of an individual interview; H1 (H1.1-H1.5)];
2. What is the effect of DMT on physical, cognitive, emotional, and social, spiritual and cultural outcomes? (data from focus groups; H2: Changes will be reported on at least three out of six outcomes of the Dunphy Outcomes Framework, DOF);
3. Which live circumstances and demographic variables influence the results (control variables: age, education, income, and family status; exploratory analysis).
Umbrella Project: This project is part of a wider European multi-center study (European student initiative of the efpsa) that aims to assess the benefits of dance movement therapy for traumatized refugee women. The initiative is coordinated at the University of Bourgogne, France, with five envisioned European sites of data collection. Data will be aggregated for the wider project (see study protocol / ethics approval of U Bourgogne, 24-01-2023). This study protocol describes only the trial at the node in Heidelberg, Germany, as a substudy. This substudy was conducted at SRH University Heidelberg in cooperation with University of Heidelberg and INTER-ACTIONS dance studio. Its aim is to contribute to the evidence-base of DMT for traumatized refugees.
Design: This randomized controlled trial will be run in two successive intervention groups (Group A from January to March 2023, Group B from April to June 2023). For the first group 14-20 women will be randomized into two groups. All will be interviewed in January, the control group will receive the intervention from April to June. Intervention group participants of both Group A and Group B will be included. This design will likely cause more women to be in the intervention group, which we will account for in the statistical analysis
