    No full text
This study explores the implementation of inclusive tourism at Bira Beach, Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi, focusing on accessibility and local community empowerment as key components of sustainable coastal tourism. Although Bira Beach possesses exceptional natural potential, several challenges remain particularly limited accessibility for people with disabilities and insufficient community involvement in destination management. Using a qualitative evaluative approach, this research applies the Universal Design Principles framework combined with community empowerment theory to assess the effectiveness of inclusive tourism development programs. Data were obtained through interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving local residents, tourism stakeholders, and government representatives. The findings indicate that accessibility facilities, such as ramps, special toilets, and digital information systems, are still inadequate, resulting in unequal opportunities for all visitors. In addition, local communities are mostly involved in small-scale tourism activities and have limited participation in strategic decision-making processes. This condition constrains the realization of sustainable and inclusive tourism benefits. The study recommends improving physical and digital accessibility, enhancing training and capacity-building programs for local residents, and strengthening collaboration between government, private sectors, and non-governmental organizations. The integration of inclusive design and community empowerment can support Bira Beach’s transformation into an accessible and sustainable marine tourism destination that benefits all stakeholders

This study aims to analyze the performance of the supervision performance of the Regional Inspectorate of Mandailing Natal Regency on the financial management of Lumban Pasir Village in the 2022 and 2023 fiscal years. Supervision carried out by the Regional Inspectorate involves regular audits, monitoring, and evaluation of the planning, implementation, and reporting of the use of village funds. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, which includes in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study show that although the Regional Inspectorate has carried out its supervisory function well, there are several obstacles that affect the effectiveness of supervision, such as limited human resources, lack of understanding of village officials about financial regulations, and lack of supporting facilities such as information technology. On the other hand, this supervision has succeeded in improving the quality of village financial planning and reporting, although there are still some weaknesses such as delays in financial reports and data inconsistencies. The impact of supervision on village financial management includes increasing awareness of the importance of transparency and accountability in the management of village funds. This study suggests the need to increase the capacity of village officials and Inspectorate auditors, as well as the use of information technology in the supervision process to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of village financial management

The Application of Project-Based Learning with Constructivism Theory in Enhancing Creativity of Elementary School Students: A Literature Review

    Get PDF
The age of twenty-first century demands the development of creative abilities that begins during childhood. Project-Based Learning (PBL) which derives from constructivist theory functions as an efficient method to develop creativity in elementary school environments. Researchers have conducted an organized review of scholarly works that analyze how PBL influences creativity development through evaluation of fluency and flexibility together with originality and elaboration. The research indicates PBL enables students to become autonomous while engaging them and collaborating with peers which leads them to acquire creative problem-solving skills applicable to actual scenarios. The extensive use of PBL faces various obstacles that prevent its full implementation. The main barriers to PBL's implementation include restricted time availability and insufficient teacher capacity and lack of resources and inadequate assessment systems for creativity. Lack of schooling for PBL implementation exists among numerous instructors while rigid curricular frameworks usually constrain project-based methods. The inability of traditional assessment methods to accurately determine creativity creates boundaries in measuring long-term effects. The complete implementation of PBL in elementary education requires policy revision combined with teacher training programs and different assessment approaches specific for creative learning. These challenges need proper resolution so PBL can establish classrooms as student-engaging learning spaces for developing students who succeed in school and work. Future research about PBL demands extensive investigations of its enduring creativity effects together with effective methods to enlarge its application across different educational environments

The world-wide morbidity and mortality statistics indicate breast cancer holds its position as one of the leading diseases which affects patient psychology and social life in addition to causing physical harm. The medical interventions for disease control meet limited needs because patients' quality of life during and following chemotherapy strongly depends on their psychosocial factors especially social support and self-efficacy. The research analyzed how social support affects self-efficacy and quality of life in breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy through self-efficacy as a possible mediator. The research design involved 95 breast cancer patients enrolled in chemotherapy treatment at Dr. M. Djamil Padang General Hospital. Consecutive sampling was used. The research data collection involved structured questionnaires followed by a Statistical Equation Modeling analysis through SmartPLS 4.0. Research examined direct along with indirect consequences through analyses which measured model explanatory capability. The research showed a strong positive link between social support leading patients to enhance self-efficacy (path coefficient = 0.922; p < 0.001) while still showing a moderate positive relation toward quality of life (path coefficient = 0.505; p < 0.001). The influence of self-efficacy on quality of life reached 0.499 significance (p < 0.001) with social support acting as a mediating factor (indirect effect = 0.460; p < 0.001). The research model established that psychosocial variables explained 85% and 80.5% of variance in patient outcomes for self-efficacy and quality of life respectively
