Human Resources Implementation at Imported Beef Supplier Startup Meat Tech
Middle-class Horeca in large metropolitan cities such as Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi are concerned with the quality of products and services offered by suppliers. PT Meat Tech as an imported beef supplier is concerned with these customer needs to increase consumer satisfaction. However, to create good product and service quality, companies need to manage their resources such as operational management, human resources, marketing, and finance. By qualitative approach, this research specifically reviews at how the short-term to long-term planning of human resources in an imported beef supplier company runs according to the strategy set by the company. The findings of this study are that Meat Tech focuses on managing employee performance and employee commitment in their early stage as a form of HR integration in business strategy, which is Product Development. Meat Tech focuses on managing employee satisfaction and motivation but still in accordance with company targets to meet customer needs
Influence of Service Waiting Time and Service Quality on Patient Satisfaction and Its Impact on Patient Loyalty: A Case Study at the Pediatric Polyclinic: JEL Classification: I10, I11, L83, C38, M31
Patient satisfaction serves as a critical indicator in evaluating the quality of healthcare service delivery. This study stems from concerns regarding extended waiting times experienced by patients at the Pediatric Polyclinic of Indriati Hospital Boyolali, which are believed to contribute to diminished satisfaction and loyalty among service users. The primary objective of this research is to assess and map the influence of service waiting time and service quality on patient satisfaction, as well as to examine the subsequent impact on patient loyalty toward the healthcare institution. A quantitative research approach was employed using a survey method, with data analyzed through causal statistical techniques utilizing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). Data were collected via a convenience sampling method, involving 100 respondents who were currently receiving or had recently received services at the Pediatric Polyclinic of Indriati Hospital Boyolali. The findings reveal that both service waiting time and service quality have a significant and positive impact on patient satisfaction. Furthermore, these two variables also directly affect patient loyalty. Importantly, patient satisfaction was found to act as a significant mediating variable, bridging the influence of service waiting time and service quality on loyalty. These results underscore the necessity of enhancing service process efficiency and improving the quality of service interactions as key strategies for building trust and fostering long-term loyalty among hospital service users
The Influence of Human Resource Development on the Professionalism and Integrity of Police Members: JEL Classification: M12, M53, J24, J45. K42
This paper examines the impact of human resource development (HRD) strategies on the professionalism and integrity of the police officers in Police Station Takalar, South Sulawesi in Indonesia. It also analyses four HRD dimensions based on the quantitative explanatory approach using training and education, ethical guidance, career management, and recruitment systems. Proportional stratified random sampling of 125 respondents using structured questionnaires was used to collect the data to ascertain the impact of each of the HRD components. The results indicate that training and education are the most influential ones, then ethical guidance and career management are moderate ones and recruitment is lower but not negligible. These findings point to the vitality of continuing professional growth and training centered on ethics in reinforcing both competence and moral uprightness in police officers. Another area of research that is covered is the absence of empirical research on how integrated HRD policies influence institutions that are in charge of national security. This study is unique in the sense that in contrast to earlier researches where the primary methods used were qualitative or normative, this study presents quantitative evidence that can be used to make more effective and responsible HRD policies. Implications include that the police institution reforms must focus on systemic capacity building as a strategic investment to increase credibility and community trust of the law enforcers
Sustainable Utilisation of Beach Sand as Fine Aggregate Replacement and Its Effect on Concrete Strength with Admixtures Reinforcement
This research was conducted to review the feasibility of beach sand from the Batu Bolong village of West Lombok Region as an alternative fine aggregate in concrete manufacturing. The background of this research is based on the decreasing supply of sand from rivers and mountains. The main objective of this research was to evaluate the compressive strength of concrete using beach sand, both with and without a washing process, and assess whether this material could be applied in structural construction. In addition to technical aspects, the local community's habit of utilizing beach sand is also part of the consideration in this study. The result oh the tests showed that the compressive strength of normal concrete without admixtures at 3, 7, and 28 days of age were 16.42 MPa, 19.21 MPa, and 23.39 MPa, respectively. The addition of the "BETON MIX" admixture increased the strength to 20.78 MPa, 23.38 MPa, and 26.44 MPa. Meanwhile, concrete using washed beach sand showed compressive strengths of 22.67 MPa, 23.61 MPa, and 25.16 MPa. The concrete with unwashed beach sand produced strengths of 21.72 MPa, 22.40 MPa, and 23.08 MPa. The results of this study indicate that sand from Batu Bolong beach has the potential to be a substitute for fine aggregate in concrete. However, its use must still consider ecological impacts so as not to disturb the balance of the coastal environment
Life Cycle Assessment Analysis of Corrugated Carton Box Production Process to Measure Eco-Efficiency Level
The production of carton boxes is an energy-intensive process that generates various contaminants, polluting water and air, and affecting both ecology and human health. This study focuses on the environmental impact during the carton box production process at PT XYZ, aiming to calculate and analyze the environmental impact while measuring the eco-efficiency level of the production process. The research method employed in this study is quantitative descriptive, with primary data sources consisting of interviews, while secondary data includes company reports. Data were processed using SimaPro software and the Eco Indicator 99 method. Eco-efficiency measurement was conducted using the Life Cycle Assessment approach. The results indicate that the production of 1 ton of carton boxes generates an environmental impact of 315 Pt, with the largest contributions coming from the corrugating, folding, and customer delivery stages. The eco-cost value was IDR8,922,503, yielding an eco-efficiency index of 1.34, indicating that the production process is environmentally friendly and economical. However, the eco-efficiency ratio of 25.6% is still considered low, necessitating improvements in energy efficiency and emission reduction. Recommended improvements include substituting fossil fuels with renewable energy, selecting environmentally friendly suppliers, and replacing or modifying machinery to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions
Quality Control of Shoe Products Using the New Seven Tools Method and Root Cause Analysis
This study aims to analyze and control product defects in shoes produced by PT XYZ using the New Seven Tools method and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). The research method applied is descriptive with both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Primary data were obtained through observations and interviews, while secondary data consisted of production documents and defect records collected from June 2024 to January 2025. The analysis results show that defect rates exceeded the company’s standard threshold (2%), particularly in the sewing and lasting processes. By utilizing tools such as the Affinity Diagram, P-Chart, Tree Diagram, Matrix Diagram, and Process Decision Program Chart (PDPC), the study identified that the main contributing factors to defects stemmed from human, method, machine, material, and environmental aspects. RCA revealed that the root causes included insufficient training, non-compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP), suboptimal equipment, and unergonomic working conditions. The study proposed 33 improvement actions, of which 28 were deemed feasible for implementation. These findings are expected to help reduce the number of defective products and improve overall production quality
Design of Coordination Between Signalized Intersections (A Case Study in Gayamsari and Lamper Intersections)
Gayamsari Intersection and Lamper Intersection in Semarang City are signalized intersections that experience high levels of vehicle queues and delays, especially during peak hours. This study aims to design signal coordination between intersections to improve traffic performance. The analysis was conducted based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI) 2023, with a five-day field survey covering active days (Monday-Wednesday) and weekends (Saturday-Sunday). Peak hour traffic volume data was used to analyze existing conditions, including degree of saturation (DJ), queue length (PA), and delay (T) parameters. Several signal cycle planning scenarios were tested, and an optimal cycle of 180 seconds for weekdays and 130 seconds for weekends was obtained. Signal coordination can only be applied from Lamper to Gayamsari intersection, because in the reverse direction straight vehicles at Gayamsari intersection do not face red signals. Signal coordination is designed using the bandwidth and offset time method, with an offset of 45 seconds. The design results show a bandwidth of 60 seconds (morning) and 81 seconds (afternoon) on active days, and 43 seconds (morning) and 51 seconds (afternoon) on weekends. This design is expected to reduce vehicle delays and queues, and improve traffic efficiency at both intersections
Development of a Web-Based Selling System Utilizing the RajaOngkir API at Toko Hijab ByAlya to Enhance Online Transaction Performance
Toko Hijab By Alya, located in Kudus, is a newly established hijab retail store that faces challenges in reaching potential customers who do not use mobile-based e-commerce applications. To address this issue, a web-based selling system has been developed, integrated with the RajaOngkirAPI. This system allows customers to conveniently purchase hijab products online without the need to install additional applications, while simultaneously providing real-time and accurate shipping cost estimations. The integration of the RajaOngkir API enables the calculation of shipping fees from various courier services, enhancing transparency and improving customer satisfaction regarding delivery charges. The web-based platform not only simplifies the shopping experience but also provides clear and accessible delivery information, enabling the store to expand its market reach and increase online transaction volume. The implementation of this system is expected to significantly improve online sales performance and provide customers with a seamless shopping experience
Simulation of Dungdo Reservoir Water Distribution for Irrigation and Raw Water
Small reservoirs are structures that function to accommodate excess water during the rainy season so that it can be used during the dry season. Dungdo Reservoir is expected to help meet the needs of irrigation water and raw water for livestock in the surrounding community. Water distribution simulation aims to optimize water availability efficiently and evenly. The methodology used includes water balance analysis based on rainfall data, evapotranspiration, inflow, and changes in reservoir capacity. Irrigation water requirements are calculated based on the crop coefficient (Kc), while raw water requirements are calculated based on the number of livestock. Based on the simulation results with the existing planting pattern with an irrigation area of 171.60 Ha, it shows that the average water requirement is 279605.66 m3/15 days, while the reservoir's capacity to provide water is 53135.20 m3/15 days. The simulation results show that Dungdo Reservoir has not been able to optimally meet irrigation water and raw water needs
Conceptual Framework for Feasibility Evaluation of Rest and Service Area (TIP) Development Project on JORR II Toll Road Based on Value Engineering
Infrastructure development, particularly toll roads, requires substantial investment and involves a long payback period. According to data from BPJT, Indonesia currently operates more than 2,816 km of toll roads, an increase of 197% or 1,867.7 km compared to 2014. However, this growth has not been matched by the development of Rest and Service Areas (TIP), which are essential facilities for toll road users. Government Regulation No. 17 of 2021 mandates the provision of at least one TIP for every 50 km of toll road. In the case of the 110.74 km JORR II Toll Road, a TIP was planned as part of the Cengkareng–Batuceper–Kunciran section. However, the BUJT has been unable to construct the TIP due to delays in land acquisition and the absence of a defined investment cost by the government. This delay contributes to a prolonged deficit cash flow period for the toll road section. This study aims to provide a conceptual framework to improve the financial feasibility of TIP projects by examining the financial viability of toll road and TIP developments and identifying potential improvement strategies. Literature reviews indicate that a value engineering approach can enhance financial feasibility by optimizing construction costs and creating new revenue streams. Therefore, this study will adopt the value engineering concept as the main strategy to improve the financial feasibility of the TIP project
