The Influence of Perceived Ease and Usefulness on the Decision to Use Qris as a Digital Payment Tool: JEL Classification: D12, E42, G21, O33, M31
Digital technology is fast evolving, which has led to a change of cash payment to non-cash payment. A good example of this innovation that Bank Indonesia brought about is the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS). The aim of the present study is to focus on the relationship linking between the perception of ease of use and the perception usefulness with consumer adoption of QRIS in Cafes Bento Mataram. The data were obtained through the questionnaire of the structured questionnaire that was distributed to the consumers of Café Bento Mataram. The respondents were 100 in number and they were chosen randomly. The obtained data were then analysed with the help of SPSS version 25. This analysis involved reliability and validity, classical assumptions tests, and parametric tests such as t -tests, F-tests and coefficient of determination (R) calculations, among various procedures of multiple regression. The findings reveal that the perceived ease of use has a positive and statistically significant effect on the decision to adopt QRIS with a t -statistic of 4.704, which is above the critical value of 1.661 (p = 0.000 0.05). Perceived usefulness also has positive significant value with t-statistic of 6.441 exceeding critical value of 1.661 (p=0.000<0.05). These results suggest that consumers who consider QRIS simpler and more advantageous have a higher tendency of using the system. The implications of the findings on the practical side of digital financial service providers are to improve the quality of services, their access, and benefits to the consumers to increase their acceptance of the use of QRIS
Social and Economic Impact of the Six Universities Initiative Japan-Indonesia Program on Sustainable Development: JEL Classification: I30, O15, O19, Q56, R58
This study explores the impact of the Six Universities Initiative Japan-Indonesia (SUIJI) Program on sustainable development in rural South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The program aims to foster community-based social innovation through cross-cultural collaboration between Japanese and Indonesian students, who engage directly with local communities to address environmental, social, and economic challenges. The study uses a qualitative approach, including participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, to assess the program's impact in four locations: Barrang Lompo Island, Lakkang Island, Toraja, and Polewali Mandar. Key findings indicate that the program significantly improved agricultural productivity, environmental sustainability, and community well-being through the introduction of organic farming techniques, sustainable fisheries practices, and improved education. Students participating in the program developed cross-cultural communication skills and practical experience in applying theoretical knowledge in real-world contexts. However, challenges related to cultural differences, language barriers, and limited infrastructure hindered the program's full potential. The study concludes that while the SUIJI Program had a positive impact on rural development, its long-term sustainability depends on stakeholder support and improved infrastructure. This study contributes to broader discussions on social innovation and sustainable development, emphasizing the importance of integrating global and local perspectives. Further research is needed to explore the long-term adaptability of communities to introduced innovations and the role of infrastructure in supporting sustainable development in rural areas
Analysis of Furniture Product Defects Using Fault Tree Analysis and Root Cause Analysis Methods
PT WW is a furniture company that uses teak wood as its main material. Factory 1 often experiences product defects because it handles the initial production stage. This study focuses on the SP-15 chair, the company’s best-selling product, which has a defect rate of 15.2%, far above the company tolerance of 5%. The research aims to reduce these defects using the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method and provide improvement recommendations. Observations revealed three defect categories with eleven basic causes. The most dominant defect is rupture, with 2726 units and a probability of 0.0085 or 0.85%. Meanwhile, the lowest defect type is incorrect process, with 835 units and a probability of 0.0034 or 0.34%. Because rupture has the highest probability, improvement efforts are urgently needed. Proposed corrective actions include developing and applying SOPs for wood processing, installing visual guides in the work area, establishing standard work procedures, and providing short operator training. Additional recommendations include routine technical training and competency tests, guidelines for machine pressure settings based on wood type, and operator instruction on adjustment. Regular maintenance schedules should also be established, with visual operation guides placed near machines to ensure operators follow correct steps. These efforts are expected to reduce defects and improve the quality of SP-15 chair production at PT WW
Integrated Energy Audit for Workshop and Learning Systems
The south workshop building is utilized for practical activities involving high machine loads, while the learning building is designated for theoretical activities. In order to optimize energy efficiency, a comprehensive audit of the lighting and electrical systems. A comparative case study approach was utilized for the analysis. A comprehensive audit of the lighting and electrical systems in both environments was conducted. An Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring system was utilized to track power consumption in both buildings. Illumination measurements were obtained using a lux meter and were subsequently compared with the Standard of Lighting (SNI) and the Permenaker standards. The average level of illumination was measured at 128.4 lux in the southern workshop and below 150 lux in some classrooms of the learning building. An electrical analysis revealed that the dominant load in the south workshop was from welding machines (10.9 kVA), whereas in the learning building, it was from the cooling system and electronic equipment. A comparative analysis of the south workshop building and the learning building reveals that both structures possess considerable potential for energy conservation. Recommendations for improvement include upgrading the lighting system and implementing an IoT system to support specific electrical load management for each building
