    Get PDF
Family Planning is a government program to control population growth which has an impact on high maternal and child mortality rates. 1. The number of long-term contraceptive users in Indonesia is very low. Anxiety is one of the factors that influences the low number of contraceptive users.2 Complementary therapy is a non-pharmacological and non-conventional therapy to reduce anxiety 3. The aim of this study was to utilize complementary therapy to reduce anxiety in prospective family planning acceptors so as to increase the number of long-term contraceptive users. This type of research is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design without using a control group. Respondents in this study were 30 prospective long-term contraceptive acceptors at the Jakenan Health Center, Pati, Indonesia. The anxiety measurement tool in this study used the HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale). Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study showed that the provision of complementary therapy (yoga and husband's assistance) with intervention 2-4 times for 1 week with a total of 30 respondents was proven to reduce anxiety levels with a pre-test value of 21.5 (moderate anxiety) and a post-test of 10 (no anxiety). Hypothesis test results (p = 0.000 <0.05). Complementary yoga therapy accompanied by a husband has benefits in reducing the level of anxiety of prospective long-term contraceptive acceptors

    Get PDF
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a global health challenge with cardiovascular complications as the leading cause of morbidity and mortality. Monitoring HbA1c levels and lipid profiles are crucial parameters in evaluating cardiovascular risk in T2DM patients. This cross-sectional analytical study was conducted at the Gianyar Police Clinic from January to June 2024. A total of 60 T2DM patients meeting the inclusion criteria were analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression tests to assess the relationship between HbA1c levels and total cholesterol. A significant positive correlation was found between HbA1c levels and total cholesterol (r=0.458, p<0.001). The correlation was stronger in patients with diabetes duration >10 years (r=0.512, p<0.001). 73.3% of patients had HbA1c >7% and 56.7% experienced total cholesterol abnormalities. Statin use showed a weaker correlation (r=0.378) compared to non-users (r=0.526). The majority of patients were in the 50-65 years age group (56.7%), with 63.3% having hypertension and 40% experiencing obesity as comorbidities. There is a significant relationship between HbA1c levels and total cholesterol in T2DM patients, with the strength of the relationship influenced by diabetes duration, statin use, and comorbidities. These findings emphasize the importance of simultaneous monitoring of both parameters in T2DM management, considering local socio-cultural factors

Prediction of Hydropower Plant Electricity Production Dependence on Weather Conditions Using the SARIMAX Model

    Get PDF
Electricity production from Hydroelectric Power Plants (PLTA) that depends on the water capacity in the dam. The water capacity depends on uncertain weather conditions such as drought caused by the El Niño Storm, which has an impact on the lack of water supply that enters the hydropower turbine which is then converted into electrical energy. Accurate predictions are needed to be able to mitigate existing weather fluctuations. In this study, the SARIMAX model on electricity production data integrated with weather data for 4 years from January 2020 to December 2023. The SARIMAX model with optimal parameters (p=0, d=1, q=1, P=1, D=0, Q=1, s=12) provides quite satisfactory prediction results for hydropower power production. SARIMAX obtained MSE values of 0.00101, MAE 0.0274, and RMSE 0.0318. The study also highlights the significance of accurate prediction of hydropower production, emphasizing the importance of external factors such as weather in particular El Niño. Understanding and predicting weather patterns is critical to the power generation system of hydropower in making decisions and optimizing the operation of the electricity system efficiently

The wrong antibiotic therapy in patients with DM results in therapeutic failure and increases the risk of antibiotic resistance. Herbal ingredients can be used as antibacterial alternatives to prevent the growth of Gram-positive bacteria so that there is no resistance and further complications from diabetics. One of the natural antibacterial alternative herbs is Golden garlic or golden coloured garlic extract. Golden garlic contains the bioactive component Allisin as an antibacterial on several pathogenic bacteria, such as Gram-positive bacteria. Based on this, the purpose of the study was to analyze the Antibacterial Effectiveness of Golden Garlic Against Gram-Positive Bacteria From Patients With Diabetic Ulcers With High CRP Levels. Research design with analytical observational method and cross sectional research design, purposive sampling technique. Samples with high CRP from diabetic ulcer swabs were 10 samples with the results of Staphylococcus aureus bacterial growth and tested the effectiveness of golden garlic ethanol extract with concentrations of 100%, 80%, 60% and 40%. The results of the study of golden garlic extract with Cindamycin positive control showed intermediate effectiveness in inhibiting the growth of Gram-positive bacteria with a concentration of 100%, while with concentrations of 80%, 60% and 40% showed more resistance. Analysis with SPSS Anova there is a difference in effectiveness by showing the inhibition zone of Golden Garlic with a concentration of 100%, 80%, 60% and 40% against Gram Positive Bacteria from Diabeticum Ulcer Patients with High CRP Levels of 0.000. The results showed that Golden Garlic extract can be an alternative to antibacterial herbs in diabetic ulcers
