The low quality of life of pulmonary TB sufferers is in physical, psychological and social aspects, while diabetes mellitus sufferers show a better quality of life. Social stigma, limited social support, and stress due to complex illnesses and treatments are also problems that affect patients' mental and emotional conditions. This study used a comparative design to compare the quality of life of individuals with TB and DM at the Meninting Community Health Center UPT. Data collection in July 2024 with a cross-sectional design. The findings of this research are that there is a significant difference in the quality of life between pulmonary TB and diabetes mellitus (DM) sufferers in the Meninting Community Health Center UPT Working Area, West Lombok Regency. DM sufferers tend to have a better quality of life in physical, psychological, social and environmental health indicators compared to pulmonary TB sufferers. This can be caused by factors such as social support, physical abilities, and living environment. This study shows the need for more intensive attention to pulmonary TB sufferers in improving the quality of life, especially in social and environmental aspects, in order to improve welfare conditions

    Tuberculosis in Pregnancy

Tuberculosis (TB) during pregnancy presents significant risks to both the mother and fetus, including complications such as abortion, preterm birth, low birth weight, and postpartum hemorrhage. The immune changes in pregnancy, particularly the shift in TH1/TH2 balance, increase the risk of latent TB reactivation. Diagnosing TB in pregnant women is challenging due to overlapping symptoms with normal pregnancy changes. However, early diagnosis is crucial for effective management, with molecular tests offering assistance, although bacterial culture remains the gold standard. High-risk pregnant women include those with close contact with active TB patients, HIV, immunosuppressive conditions, or severe immunocompromised states such as lymphoma, leukemia, or organ transplant recipients. These women should undergo sputum testing for acid-fast bacilli smear, mycobacterial culture, and nucleic acid amplification testing if TB is suspected. Immunosuppressed patients may require further testing, even if interferon-gamma release assays or tuberculin skin tests are negative. Retesting is recommended eight weeks after exposure to infectious TB. The management of TB in pregnancy involves a multidisciplinary approach, including obstetricians, infectious disease specialists, and neonatologists. First-line anti-TB medications are safe during pregnancy and help prevent maternal and perinatal complications. Treatment for latent TB infection (LTBI) is generally delayed until after delivery. Breastfeeding is safe for mothers on first-line anti-TB medications, as drug levels in breast milk are too low to harm the infant. Early diagnosis, prompt treatment, and proper care are essential to reduce TB-related risks during pregnancy

Implementation of Leadership Commitment to Employee Performance Quality Using the Six Building Blocks Method

Hospital leadership commitment plays a crucial role in planning environmental health initiatives by allocating the necessary resources. Although the achievement of Minimum Service Standards at Ir. Soekarno Regional General Hospital is considered outstanding, challenges remain, such as expired training certifications, unmet opportunities for training renewal, and procedural non-compliance by some staff members. Therefore, leadership must enhance employee career development to foster organizational commitment and improve the quality of service delivery. This study aims to analyze leadership commitment in improving employee performance at Ir. Soekarno Regional General Hospital using the six building blocks method. The research design is qualitative, utilizing semi-structured interviews with both leadership and employees. Informant sampling was conducted through purposive sampling, with data verification carried out using source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the leadership has established organizational commitment through policy support, optimization of information systems, training budgets, and active employee participation in decision-making. However, the application of the six building blocks method in the context of employee performance based on leadership commitment remains suboptimal, particularly in the health workforce component. While physical health support for employees is adequately addressed, mental health support in the workplace is still lacking. Therefore, more intensive dissemination of policies and mental health programs is necessary, particularly for staff in underrepresented units

Employee performance plays a vital role in determining the success of an organization, particularly in government institutions where efficiency and effectiveness in public service delivery are crucial. This study analyzes the performance of employees in the General and Protocol Section of the North Toraja Regency Regional Secretariat based on six key indicators: quality, quantity, punctuality, effectiveness, independence, and work commitment. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing primary data from interviews and observations, as well as secondary data from relevant documents. Findings indicate that while employee performance is generally good, several areas require improvement, including the update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), asset management, and training participation. Furthermore, independence in task execution is still influenced by hierarchical decision-making, and financial realization has not fully met the targeted budget allocation. Strengthening work discipline, improving resource allocation, and enhancing communication and collaboration among employees are recommended to optimize performance outcomes

Culturally Responsive Humanistic Islamic Education among the Anak Dalam Indigenous Community

This study explores the implementation of Islamic Religious Education within the Suku Anak Dalam communities of Bukit Duabelas by examining how a humanistic approach enables religious learning to unfold in ways that honor cultural identity and everyday lived experience. Using a qualitative case study design, the research draws on in depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis to understand how Islamic teachings are introduced, interpreted, and gradually internalized in communities shaped by semi nomadic movement, strong ancestral traditions, and an oral knowledge system. The findings reveal that religious learning emerges most meaningfully when educators adopt flexible and dialogical strategies such as storytelling, modeling, and culturally grounded conversations that align with the emotional pace and social rhythms of the community. These approaches allow Islamic values to intersect naturally with local wisdom related to solidarity, ecological ethics, and kinship obligations. The study also identifies persistent challenges, including low literacy levels, the enduring authority of adat, and limited access to formal educational resources, which require educators to negotiate teaching with sensitivity and patience. Despite these constraints, observable social transformations indicate growing familiarity with Islamic practice, particularly among children and women. The study concludes that a humanistic and culturally responsive orientation is essential for fostering inclusive and sustainable religious education in indigenous settings and contributes to broader discussions on the development of contextually grounded Islamic pedagogy in multicultural societie
