    No full text
This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Langkat Regency in regional regulation legislation (Perda) during the 2019-2024 period. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document studies. The results of the study show that the Langkat Regency DPRD has ratified a number of Regional Regulations, both initiated by the DPRD itself and proposed by the executive. However, the effectiveness of the DPRD in legislation is still influenced by the quality of human resources, low public participation, dominance of executive roles, and political dynamics within the DPRD. The quality of human resources and the capacity of DPRD members are obstacles in formulating Regional Regulations that are responsive to the needs of the community. Community participation in the process of formulating the Regional Regulation is also still limited, so the aspirations of the community have not been fully accommodated. In addition, the dominance of the executive in the submission of the Regional Regulation reduces the initiative of the DPRD in making policies. Despite the challenges, opportunities to increase the effectiveness of the DPRD are still open through increasing human resource capacity and optimizing community participation. With this effort, it is hoped that the Langkat Regency DPRD can produce a higher quality Regional Regulation and support regional development

In addition, boycott actions are also carried out through the dissemination of information with social media as a tool which aims to disseminate information on boycott products and seek the truth of information received from social media such as Tiktok, Instagram, and Twitter. This research is expected to provide deeper insight into the factors that influence student decisionmaking in boycotting pro-Israel products, and can be a reference for academics, educational institutions, and social activists in understanding social care, humanitarian values, and the use of social media in shaping student attitudes towards global issues

Integration of Ontology in Marketing Management Decisions: A Systematic Literature Review

This study aims to determine the role of ontology in determining marketing management decisions Design/ methodology/ approach - This study uses the SLR method to collect articles related to ontology in marketing management published between 2019 and 2024. This researcher uses Mendeley software. Of the 558 articles that were netted according to the keywords, exclusion was carried out according to the criteria that had been prepared, only 6 articles were considered and extracted. Findings – Ontology in marketing management decisions is used as a framework for managers to define their marketing strategies. Managers use the knowledge they already have with current market demand or trends. It can be said that in deciding on a marketing strategy, it takes things from within the manager, such as the manager's understanding and emotions, and things outside the self, namely market demand. In determining a decision, managers do not consider emotions but rational data. However, managers must still have the understanding and knowledge to be able to think about appropriate marketing strategies and be able to achieve organizational goals. Limitations/implications of the study – This study only focuses on the general ontology of marketing management, so there are not many articles found. Practical implications – With this research it can be used by marketing managers to consider creating a framework with an ontological foundation to decide on a marketing strategy in their organization. Originality/value – This research is related to the foundation of ontology in marketing management which can be explored more deeply, because there are still limitations in research on this subject

In this area there are street vendors lined up on the right and left sides of the road. Qualitative descriptive research method with observation, interview and policy document analysis methods. The results of the study indicate that the arrangement of street vendors on Jalan Tengku Sulung is still not optimal, marked by the lack of zoning, minimal supporting facilities, and low awareness of street vendors towards spatial planning regulations. Socially, street vendors make a positive contribution by creating informal jobs, but also trigger complaints from the community regarding cleanliness and order. The SWOT analysis in this study shows that street vendors have great potential to contribute to the local economy. This condition is expected to improve and increase concern in creating spatial order, supporting the sustainability of the local economy, and creating a harmonious environment in the area

Indonesian Fandom’s Donation Practices During Campaign on Twitter Using the Theory of Planned Behavior

The Korean Wave (Hallyu) phenomenon, particularly K-Pop, has evolved beyond just an entertainment industry. K-Pop fandoms, such as ARMY (BTS fans), have actively participated in various social movements, including online donation campaigns. One notable campaign is #ARMY4Palestine on Twitter, where BTS fans in Indonesia collectively raised funds to support Palestine. However, limited research has examined the psychological factors influencing donation intention and behavior within fandom communities. Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control on online donation intention and behavior in the #ARMY4Palestine campaign among the Indonesian ARMY fandom, using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework. Methods: This study employs a quantitative method using a survey technique, distributing questionnaires to Indonesian ARMY fandom members who participated in the donation campaign. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method via SmartPLS 4.0 software. Results: The findings indicate that attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control significantly influence online donation intention. Moreover, donation intention was found to mediate the relationship between psychological factors (attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control) and actual donation behavior. Conclusion: This study confirms that the Theory of Planned Behavior can explain online donation decisions within the K-Pop fandom community. A positive attitude toward donation, social pressure from the community, and individuals' confidence in their ability to donate contributes to donation intention and behavior. The findings provide implications for philanthropic organizations and social campaigns to leverage fandom communities as potential actors in digital-based fundraising
