Diversification and fragmentation of public financing for development WP321: Reducing the opacity and rationalising the fragmented structure of development financing
No full textThe fragmentation of public financing flows for developing countries appears to be an essential characteristic of the international financial architecture. This document explores the reasons for the proliferation of various institutions and funds and analyses its consequences in terms of efficiency, which are not all positive. After listing the various initiatives intended to reduce the harmful effects of the fragmentation of funding, such as the reduction in the number of funds, the search for greater transparency, a reform of multilateral institutions, the coordination of donors, it proposes the creation of a group of analysis, sharing, construction of common thought, fed by «scientific» information and in-depth comparative evaluation, which would bring together contributors and recipients. The possible locations of this instance are discussed
Investing in resources: An interaction model of personal resources, commitment, and work achievement
No full textInternational audienceObjective: Management practice commonly assumes that the value of a workgoal dictates the nature of motivation processes. We investigate instead how individuals invest resources from the perspective of their own value system. Drawing from Conservation of Resources theory, we explore the valuation process by testing a reciprocal model between work-goal attainment, goal commitment, and personal resources, including self-efficacy, optimism, and subjective well-being. Method: Data were collected in a two-wave longitudinal study among sales professionals (n = 793) from France (F), Pakistan (P), and the United States (U). No full textInternational audienceIntheSpanishcontext,ANECAmanagestheaccreditationofhigher-educationprofessors;inotherlatitudessimilarsituationsareexperienced.Thisresearcharticleisacontributiontothe reflection on the accreditation of professors regarding the communication of science, astudythatshowsColombianuniversity teacher-researchers’perceptionsontheissue.Thisisaqualitativestudythataddresses,ontheonehand,theanalysisoftheproductionoftheresearchgroupsoftheparticipatingpopulationand,ontheother,theexperienceoftheprofessorsbasedontestimonialaccounts,whichwereanalyzedthroughcontentanalysisusingAtlas-TIsoftware.Theparticularityofsciencecommunicationishighlightedasanecessarymechanismtomakescientific knowledge visible as well as some relevant tensions. Similarly, a balance on thedevelopmentofacademicaccreditationofColombian teachersismade,acategorization thatwasinitiallyregulatedbytheformerColciencias,whichnowadaysistheNationalMinistryofScience and Technology. Itis evidentin the study,on the one hand, the contribution of thedemandsintheincreaseofaccreditationandthedevelopmentofprofessorialresearchand,ontheother,theneedtogenerateotheracademicaccreditationpathwaysforprofessorsthatarebeyond the publication of articles in top magazines. Finally, it is relevant to highlight thedisagreementwiththecurrentpoliciesthatmeasurescientificproductivity,whichisshowninthecriticismofthefacultytothegrowingalignmentoftheUniversitytoneoliberalpolicies thatconfigurethemanagerialuniversityEn el contexto español, ANECA gestiona la acreditación de profesores universitarios; en otras latitudes se viven situaciones similares. Este artículo de investigación es un aporte a la reflexión sobre la acreditación del profesorado en relación con la comunicación de la ciencia, estudio que evidencia percepciones de docentes-investigadores universitarios colombianos sobre la problemática. Se trata de un trabajo cualitativo que aborda, por un lado, el análisis de la producción de los grupos de investigación de la población participante y, por otro, la experiencia de los profesores, a partir de relatos testimoniales que se trataron desde el análisis de contenido mediante el software Atlas-Ti. Se destaca la particularidad de la comunicación de la ciencia como mecanismo necesario para visibilizar el saber científico y algunas tensiones relevantes frente a ello. De igual manera, se hace un balance sobre el desarrollo de la acreditación académica de los profesores colombianos, categorización regulada inicialmente por el antiguo Colciencias y ahora Ministerio Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología. Se evidencia en el trabajo, por un lado, el aporte de las exigencias en el incremento de la acreditación y el desarrollo de la investigación profesoral y, por otro, la necesidad de generar otras rutas de acreditación académica de profesorado que estén más allá de la publicación de artículos en revistas top. No es menor señalar la inconformidad con las actuales políticas de medición de la productividad científica, reflejada en la crítica del cuerpo profesoral a la creciente alineación de la universidad a políticas neoliberales que configuran la universidad managerial

No full textLa féminisation du milieu vétérinaire peut s'expliquer en partie par l’essor du droit des femmes au XXème siècle. En parallèle, la lutte contre le sexisme est devenu un enjeu majeur ces dernières années, notamment dans le milieu professionnel. Les milieux universitaires sont également des lieux où du sexisme peut régner notamment en formation de santé. Le sexisme, sous toutes ses formes, peut engendrer des effets sur la santé psychique et physique ainsi que sur l’estime de soi. Le bien-être des vétérinaires est un sujet qui devient capital avec le nombre de reconversion et le manque de vétérinaires. L’objectif de cette étude est d’établir un état des lieux du sexisme en école vétérinaire via une enquête sociologique adressée aux étudiantes. Cette étude recense à la fois les témoignages des situations sexistes vécues par les étudiantes et les attentes qu’elles ont vis-à-vis de leurs écoles
