LOGISTICS PROCESS MANAGEMENT USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE OPTIMIZATION
Get PDFArtificial Intelligence (AI) has been developing particularly fast recently and is becoming part of many areas of our daily lives. The development of artificial intelligence based on the Big Language Model has changed the job descriptions of many people. According to a Goldman Sachs study, generative AI will impact 300 million jobs, and according to a January 2023 study by platform Fishbowl, 43% of employees use AI in their professional lives. At the same time, such a rapid spread of AI is associated with some degree of danger for many. In March 2023, more than 1,000 people working in AI, including Ilon Musk, signed a petition calling for a 6-month moratorium on the development of large AI systems until their capabilities and associated threats are properly understood.Logistics is one industry where AI can have a transformative impact. It can be used in both the storage/transportation phases of product storage and consumption. AI can help address the challenges the sector faces today - managing logistics processes/optimizing production, managing demand, ensuring the sustainability of logistics systems, and simplifying the logistics transition, including reducing production and transportation costs
ASSESSING SELF EVALUATION LEVEL OF PRESENTATION SKILLS AMONG EFL MASTER STUDENTS AT SAIDA UNIVERSITY
Get PDFTo raise their presentations skills, the students need to be aware about how to prepare and perform an effective presentation. This study aimed at identifying the English language students' self-evaluation level of presentation skills at Saida University, Algeria. Through careful analysis of quantitative data from a 19-item questionnaire administered to 79 first-year master's students in English as a foreign language (EFL) over two separate academic years (2018/2019 & 2019/2020), enlightening conclusions emerged. The results reveal that the students’ self-evaluation level is above average. The study also reveals that there is a significant difference between the male and female students in their awareness level of self- evaluation presentation skills.The results also indicate that there are no differences in the students’ self-evaluation level between the two classes scored in the two different academic years study. This research, anchored in the undergraduate cycle, is committed to ensuring the accuracy of self-assessments, probing gendered disparities and ensuring the consistency of assessments across various academic disciplines. It highlights the urgent need to support students in recognizing and developing their presentation skills

APPLICATION OF RESISTANCE TRAINING IN MENTAL HEALTH DISORDERS, LATEST DISCOVERIES

This review evaluates the potential of resistance training as an adjunctive therapy and its effect on symptoms. A synthesis of meta-analyses, systematic reviews, and randomized controlled trials indicates neurobiological benefits (enhanced brain plasticity and increased BDNF), hormonal effects (reduced cortisol), and anti-inflammatory effects (decreased TNF-α and IL-6). Resistance training also improves self-esteem, sleep quality, and social connectedness, increasing its applicability across patient populations. As a complement to pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy, it offers additional benefits and fewer barriers to implementation. Its program flexibility allows easy integration into personalized care and public-health strategies. Future research should standardize protocols, optimize intensity and duration, and assess long-term effects. Technologies — wearables and mobile apps — may improve adherence and accessibility. Resistance training has the potential to substantially enrich mental healthcare and improve quality of life for people with depression, anxiety, and other mental disorders

Get PDFVision correction through refractive surgical procedures has become increasingly precise and patient-specific, with SMILE (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction) and LASIK (Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis) emerging as two of the most commonly performed techniques for the treatment of myopia and astigmatism. Both methods offer excellent visual outcomes and rapid postoperative recovery; however, they differ significantly in terms of surgical approach, which in turn influences the profile and frequency of complications. This review explores and compares the complications associated with each procedure, highlighting key differences in both early and late postoperative outcomes.
Early complications such as dry eye syndrome, transient visual disturbances, and epithelial healing irregularities tend to occur more frequently after LASIK. This is likely due to the creation of a corneal flap in LASIK, which can disrupt more corneal nerves and tissues. In contrast, SMILE, which involves only a small peripheral incision without a flap, preserves more of the corneal architecture, leading to a reduced incidence of postoperative dryness and inflammation.
Furthermore, long-term complications, including corneal ectasia, appear to be less prevalent following SMILE, likely owing to the better biomechanical stability maintained in the cornea. A nuanced understanding of these complication patterns is essential for clinicians to select the most appropriate technique based on individual patient characteristics, ocular anatomy, and lifestyle demands. Tailoring the surgical approach not only improves clinical outcomes but also helps in minimizing procedural risks and enhancing patient satisfaction

Get PDFChange has become a characteristic feature of the civilisational dimension of the developed world, necessitating the monitoring of all transformations occurring within the environment surrounding both individuals and organisations to confront the consequences of such change and keep pace with new developments. In this context, organisations must adopt and utilise the most advanced administrative methods, in line with technological advancements and in response to the digital age and information technology. Among these methods is electronic administration (E-Management), a contemporary concept that has emerged in recent years as a result of the increasing use of computers and networks and the information revolution in general. Electronic administration represents a strong response to the challenges of the twenty-first century, an era defined by globalisation, knowledge, and the dynamics of the internet revolution. Most administrations worldwide, in general, and sports administrations in particular, have responded to this transformation according to their specific conditions, capacities, and circumstances. In recent years, there has been rapid and significant development in information and communication technology across multiple levels, with a profound impact on human behaviour, methods, and approaches to administration. Consequently, many organisations, including those in both developed and developing countries, such as Algeria, have begun to adopt the concept of electronic administration. This transition has been made evident through the dissemination of information via the internet, as well as the conduct of numerous internal transactions through the internet and intranet. These networks have provided sports organisations and their clients with opportunities for communication beyond intricate bureaucratic procedures. Notably, the application of electronic administration in the sports field has achieved remarkable success across various organisations worldwide. However, the situation in China is distinct. Despite the rapid progress in information technology, many challenges and obstacles persist, hindering its application as a means to facilitate management processes and enhance effectiveness. Within this framework, our study addresses the following topic: "Administrative and Technical Constraints of Electronic Administration and Their Impact on the Effective Management of Sports Administration in Algeria." The study aimed to identify the most significant administrative constraints that hinder the effective management of electronic administration within Algerian sports organisations and to highlight the technical and human obstacles impeding its application in these organisations. Among the key findings of the study are that the reliance of the Algerian sports administration on traditional management methods has delayed the transformation towards a smooth and efficient application of electronic administration. The technical constraints identified include the limited development of the infrastructure required to implement electronic administration in sports management; the difficulty experienced by sports organisations' administrators in Algeria in keeping pace with the rapid global changes and advancements in information technology; and the absence of security systems to safeguard databases related to management processes within sports organisations. The study also revealed several human constraints, including the lack of specialised training and development programmes dedicated to enhancing the capacities of human resources in Algerian sports administration, to master modern electronic technologies necessary for the successful implementation of electronic administration. Additional constraints included the absence of a culture of change among those responsible for managing Algerian sports organisations, as well as the shortage of qualified personnel specialising in maintaining electronic equipment, devices, and management-related software at various administrative levels

Get PDFThe article deals with the technological process of arranging crushed stone and mastic expansion joints on bridges, which are important elements for ensuring stable and safe operation of bridge structures. The main attention is paid to the peculiarities of using crushed stone and mastic materials that provide high elasticity, strength and waterproofing, which allows compensating for deformations caused by mechanical loads and temperature fluctuations.
The article describes the stages of such joints, starting from the preparation of the base to the laying of materials, and also notes the importance of choosing the right components for the production of crushed stone and mastic mixtures. The basic requirements for materials, such as crushed stone, mastics and special additives, which ensure long-term operation of the joints even in difficult climatic conditions, are considered.
The article pays special attention to the technology of laying crushed stone mastic joints, which includes thorough cleaning of the joint, uniform distribution of materials, and control over their quality during installation. Technological procedures are described, such as the use of primers to improve adhesion, reinforcement of joints to increase their mechanical properties, as well as checking the tightness and strength after the work is completed.
In general, the article contributes to a deeper understanding of the technology of arranging crushed stone-mastic expansion joints, which is an important tool for ensuring the safety and durability of bridge structures
FOSTERING COMPETENCE AND PERSON-JOB FIT IN AN EFFORT TO IMPROVE EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE

Enhancing competencies and aligning individual traits with job requirements can lead to improvements in performance. The primary aim of this study is to explore the correlation between skills and alignment with job responsibilities in order to improve the performance of workers at the Cirebon Branch Office of Perum Bulog. A survey involving 91 employees was conducted for this study, using a quantitative research approach. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling. Information was gathered by utilising a Likert scale questionnaire and then examined using multiple linear regression through SPSS software version 25. The study indicated that exceptional proficiency in one's role is critically important for enhancing employee performance. When individuals possess robust skills, they are more likely to execute their responsibilities effectively and meet the expectations set before them. Furthermore, a strong alignment between an individual and their position significantly contributes to improved performance outcomes. The fit between individuals and jobs increases motivation, job satisfaction, and effectiveness in completing tasks. The implications of these results indicate the need for companies to integrate human resource development strategies through training, proper job placement, and recruitment that consider the fit between individuals and jobs

Get PDFThis study aimed to identify the role and position of the small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) sector in economic growth in Algeria, it relied on official reports from accredited bodies and institutions from 2021 to 2025, The study reached a set of conclusions, including: the growth in the SME population was 5.71% across all legal sectors, representing a total net increase of 73,438 SMEs, thus contributing to the country's economic growth, and increased funding support for SME financing through an expansion of loan programs.
The study concluded with a set of proposals, including the need to rely on digitization and reduce heavy bureaucracy and complex tax procedures
