    Structural and Electrical properties of ZnO Nanorod based dye sensitized solar cell

    ThePreparation of nanorod involves simple and novel design of sol-gel process. Further, by using the prepared nanorods,working electrode will be prepared and it will be sensitized with ruthenium dye. A platinum coated FTO electrode will beused as a counter electrode. Dye sensitized solar cell will be assembled by using the working electrode and counterelectrode. FE-SEM and UV characteristics have been carried out at 250ᵒC, 350ᵒC&450ᵒC. The size and band gap ofnanorod at these temperatures has been found out to be 1μm and 2.95eV, 200nm and 2.86eV, 100nm and 2.79eVrespectively. The power conversion efficiency and the fill factor have been obtained as 2.72% and 0.722 respectively

    Efficient Synthesis of α-Oximinoketones using Carboxyl and Nitrite Functionalized Graphene Quantum Dots: Dual role of Nanostructure as a Catalyst and Reagent

    Carboxyl and nitrite functionalized graphene quantum dots (CNGQDs) was used for the efficient synthesis of α-oximinoketones under free mineral acid conditions at room temperature. CNGQDs was prepared via o-nitrozation of carboxyl and hydroxyl graphene quantum dots (CHGQDs) and used as a nitrosonium source and also as an efficient acidic catalyst for the synthesis of α-oximinoketones. The structure of the catalyst was characterized by FT-IR, XRD, TGA and photoluminescence techniques. The structures of the synthesized products were confirmed by FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopic techniques. Stability and recyclability of the prepared homogeneous catalyst was studied in details. Reaction times and yields of the products were compared with previous reported methods resulting high yields and also shorter reaction times

    Dimethyl sulphoxide activated by acetic-anhydride introduces methylthiomethyl group into phenols,oxidises certain medicinally useful secondary alcohols to their corresponding ketones and brings about oxidative rearrangements in different substrates.It converts 4-hydroxy coumarins and dicoumarols,under varying conditions,to a variety of products of both pharmaceutical and mechanistic interest. When1,3-indandione (1) was interacted with this versatile reagent at water bath temperature,it  afforded an ylide (2) and an oxidative cyclisation product (3).However,its interaction with Ar –CH = (CN)R,leads to the formation of a mechanistically interesting compound,indeno[1,2-b]-4H pyran(4).   DMSO alone has been used as a reagent and yields a number of products of mechanistic interest with different substrates.When 1,3-indandione (1) was refluxed with DMSO alone at elevated temperature,it results the formation of poly(methylene-bis) 1,3-indandione(5) involving methylene group insertion between different 1,3-indandione moieties.Methylene insertion has also been observed when 1,3-indandione (1) was condensed with formaldehyde in presence of alkali carbonates or primary amines to yield (6)and(7) respectively

    A FAMILY OF EXPONENTIALLY FITTED MULTIDERIVATIVE METHOD FOR STIFF DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

    In this paper, an A-stable exponentially fitted predictor-corrector using multiderivative linear multistep method for solving stiff differential equations is developed. The method which is a two-step third derivative method of order five contains free parameters. The numerical stability analysis of the method was discussed, and found to be A-stable. Numerical examples are provided to show the efficiency of the method when compared with existing methods in the literature that have solved the set of problems

    This article focus on the resulting of mathematical simulation of system man-vehicle-surrounding in accident reconstrucion. We will examine an accident situation in its three stages when two vehicles and two pedestrians participate in a crash. The first vehicle moving along the national highway A1  in the direction of the location A to location B; A2 second vehicle moving along the national road in the direction from locality to locality D-C and two pedestrians were crossing the white lines. As a result of the collision of the two vehicles, the collided vehicle hits the two pedestrians as well. Severely damaged in the accident, the driver and passenger of A1, also severely damaged remained the two pedestrians who were crossing the white lines. From the study we will do, the calculation of the speed of movement of vehicles involved in the accident using one of the ways to solve this problem, will be sufficient

    In this paper, dynamical behavior of a cantilever beam subject to parametric excitation under state feedback control with time delay is analyzed. The method of multiple scale perturbation technique is applied to obtain the solution up to the first order approximation. We obtain equations for the amplitude and phase. We studied all resonance cases numerically. Stability of the steady state solution for the selected resonance case is studied applying Rung-Kutta fourth method and frequency response equation via Matlab 7.0 and maple 16. From the results, it can be seen that the frequency and amplitude responses for the selected resonance case can be affected by the time delayed control. Effects of different parameters of the system are studied

    This paper is devoted to exposition of a provable classical solution for the ancient Greeks classical geometric problem of angle trisection [3]. (Pierre Laurent Wantzel, 1837),presented an algebraic proof based on ideas from Galois field showing that, the angle trisection solution correspond to an implicit solution of the cubic equation; , which he stated as geometrically irreducible [23]. The primary objective of this novel work is to show the possibility to solve the trisection of an arbitrary angle using the traditional Greeks tools of geometry, and refutethe presented proof of angle trisection impossibility statement. The exposedproof of the solution is theorem , which is based on the classical rules of Euclidean geometry, contrary to the Archimedes proposition of usinga marked straightedge construction [4], [11]

    Photocatalytic treatment to inhibit the growth of skin cancerous cells

    A photocatalytic technique has been applied to study the inhibition of growth of cancerous cell . A suspension of semiconducting carbon (band gap 1.2 eV) in methanol (2 mg/ml in methanol) on administering to C6- Glioma (5 x 106 cells) tumor transplanted in Wistar pups and exposing it with visible light (15 Lux) for 30 min. inhibited the growth of cells while exposure of the cells alone either with light or semiconducting carbon did not show any appreciable inhibition. The mechanism responsible to inhibit of the growth of the cell is discussed. It is proposed that some medical practitioners would adopt this technique to cure skin cancer.     Multiple and least energy sign-changing solutions for Schrodinger-Poisson equations in R3 with restraint

    In this paper, we study the existence of multiple sign-changing solutions with a prescribed Lp+1−norm and theexistence of least energy sign-changing restrained solutions for the following nonlinear Schr¨odinger-Poisson system:By choosing a proper functional restricted on some appropriate subset to using a method of invariant sets of descending flow,we prove that this system has infinitely many sign-changing solutions with the prescribed Lp+1−norm and has a least energy forsuch sign-changing restrained solution for p ∈ (3, 5). Few existence results of multiple sign-changing restrained solutions areavailable in the literature. Our work generalize some results in literature
