The article establishes the essence of the definition of "integral indicator", presents pilot studies to determine the list of components of the integral indicator of research competence of future environmentalists. The diagnostics of the level of formation of the research competence of students-ecologists for the given integral indicator in separate educational institutions of the ecological direction has been carried out. The directions of further work on specification of the list and experimental verification of the components and integral indicators, presented in this article for estimation of the level of formation of research competence in the process of professional training of environmental specialists are determined

In the article the place, role and functions of families (households) as economic subjects of the market system are clarified. The interrelation, interdependence of categories of "savings", "investments" and "consumption" is defined. The importance and location of the internal investor in the investment process at the macroeconomic level is proved. The algorithm for determining the level of aggregate income of a family necessary for transition to the rank of an internal investor of the state is presented. Parallels are drawn between the author's theoretical and methodical approach proposed in the article and between the theories (laws, models) of a number of well-known economists, such as E. Engel, M. Tugan-Baranovsky, J. Keynes, P. Samuelson and others. The features of practical definition of the minimum level of the aggregate income of a family and a household for savings and investments for Ukrainian realities are revealed. The current and desired operating conditions and the results of financial and economic development of each of the interested parties are considered. In particular, for the population it is shown how, based on its real income, to identify and plan expenditures in order to move to investments. In addition, it is investigated: first, what exactly is the real minimum level of income per month will allow one person or a family (of two, three, four people) to survive in the economic conditions that defined public authorities and formed the market; secondly, what exactly need s a person or a household to be able to meet at an appropriate level of income; thirdly, what level of income will allow the population to save and convert these savings into investments (with their subsequent distribution for the development of domestic business and entrepreneurship). At the same time, it is shown how the state (on Ukrainian data) can influence the growth of domestic investment in order to reduce the deficit of financial resources for the development of business and the economy of the country

CURRENCY ASPECTS OF FINANCIAL SECURITY OF THE BANKING SYSTEM OF UKRAINE: REGULATORY PRIORITIES AND TRANSFORMATION OF CONTROL

    Get PDF
The article is devoted to the topical subject – the study of currency aspects of the financial security of the banking system of Ukraine, taking into account the threats of liberalization of cross-border capital transfer and currency regulation. The main objectives of the article are studying the main threats to the currency security of the banking system of Ukraine in the context of the transformation of currency control within the liberalization of currency relations. In particular, the study found that currency security is one of the main components of the financial security of the banking system, and exchange rate instability is one of the greatest threats to the effective functioning of Ukrainian banking institutions, taking into account the peculiarities of the national structure of financial assets and liabilities of business entities. As a result, it is found that the deterioration of the exchange rate stability leads to a revaluation of assets, the outflow of foreign currency deposits from banks, which leads to their loss and significant deterioration of financial security, while a decrease in the volume of gold and foreign exchange reserves directly affects the currency security of the state, in particular, and the economic in general. Based on the research results, proposals have been made to improve currency regulation and currency control, namely, amendments to the draft law should be made with regard to the administrative restriction of the dollarization level of deposits and credits, indicating the terms for reducing the dollarization rates of loans and deposits from 50 % to 20–25 %. The mechanism for such reduction in dollarization should be included in the instruments of the National Bank of Ukraine, namely, the norm of mandatory reservation for deposits in foreign currency should be 3–4 times higher than the reserve rate in the national currency, which will make foreign currency deposits "uninteresting" for banks, and therefore will lead to a reduction in the interest rate and, accordingly, reduce the desire to save in foreign currency. By dollarization of loans, the credit risk reservation ratio should also be significantly higher than in the national currency in order to demobilize banks for lending in foreign currency, an exception can only be for those enterprises that carry out foreign economic activity. In addition, lending to individuals for all types of loans in foreign currency should be banned, and the fact of such ban should be clearly spelled out in the Law on Currency. This will prevent the outflow of capital from the state and form a mechanism to reduce the scale of the shadow foreign exchange market as the main threats to the currency and financial security of the banking system of Ukraine

    Get PDF
Different types of social behavior are characterized by different behavioral reactions. Characteristics of selfish and altruistic social behavior are not clearly confirmed by the data of psychophysiological studies. Therefore, the purpose of the work is to identify the peculiarities of behavioral reactions of individuals with more expressed egoistic and altruistic social behavior, which are based on data of electroencephalographic research. 120 (aged 21±4 years) individuals took part in the study. As a result of complex psychological testing (based on Leary’s test) all subjects were divided into two groups - altruistic and egoistic. Registration of electrical activity was carried out in a model of collective interaction using the Stag Hunt Game and a specially developed model of social behavior Mini-Basketball. The number of elections for egoistic and altruistic stimulus and the reaction time to them were observed in the study. The stimulus "Rabbit" and "Throw" were considered as egoistic; “Stag" and "Pass" - as altruistic in accordance with the test methods. As a result, the frequency of choosing the type of stimuli corresponds to the social orientation of the individuals. The reaction time increases with the choice of the type of stimulus, which does not coincide with the type of social orientation of the subject

TERESA VILLAVERDE: MAKING OMELETS WITHOUT EGGS

Nearly 50 percent of the students graduating with degrees in film directing programs are women; nearly half of the film audiences around the globe are women; yet, women direct only 8 percent of the films. Like most other industries, men control by men the film industries. An opportunity to direct a film is hard to come by for men. It’s even harder for women. However, when a woman breaks through the glass ceiling, the results are refreshingly satisfying – bringing new perspectives on the female experience and interpersonal relationships. The purpose of this paper is to bring to focus the work of a Portuguese film director, Teresa Villaverde. She began her film career as an actor in À Flor do Mar /Hovering over the Water (1986) and directed her first feature film, A Idade Maior (1991). Since then, she has directed more than a dozen films. For many of these, she has also doubled as writer, editor, cinematographer, and producer. Not only is she a prolific auteur director, her work has earned recognition at international film festivals. The paper describes her professional career and some of the themes she has tackled in her films, e.g., the homeless, the socially alienated, the abused and silenced and the economically unnecessary. Although working with small budgets, she has established herself among the most significant directors in Europe. Relying on existing interviews and reviews, the paper presents Villaverde as a role model for other young filmmakers pursuing careers in cinema
