    The efforts to increase capacity while maintaining the granulation of the grinding process are carried out to maximize the use of the hammer mill machine, which is the second largest electric energy consumption in a plant. The method that can be done to achieve this is by setting the screen position and setting the right blower opening. Standard screen specifications will maximize the capacity of the grinding process and produce optimum granulation. In order to get the maximum grinding capacity, DFCO can be set at the maximum but will have an effect on the motor current during the grinding process, the average current will tend to be high. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of variations in the screen’s and blower’s position settings on the capacity and granulation of raw materials from the grinding process. The usage of 2.5 mm and 3 mm diameters screens, as well as adjusting the screen position of 2.5 mm at the top and 3 mm at the bottom, resulted in better capacity and granulation than using a screen with only 3 mm diameter. The larger the blower and DFCO openings, the greater the grinding capacity, but also increased the motor current. The larger the blower opening, the greater the decrease in the water content of grinding raw materials

    In a university, determining a study program for prospective students is something that is often done to focus on prospective students so that they are in accordance with their competencies. This is a very important hope, because prospective students can develop self-competence according to their academic abilities. This research method uses several stages, including data cleaning, data collection, determining criteria, determining probability, and final testing. The Naïve Bayes method with a case study at the Private Madrasah Aliyah PAB 6 Helvetia and testing of 100 student data with an accuracy rate of 90% is a previous research. The purpose of this study was to make a classification of majors based on the criteria, while in this study the aim of making a classification of study programs for prospective new students. In this study, the same method was used but the number of data records was different, the test data was 1671 student data records, the data was obtained from 2256 data records.From the total data records were 2256, after data cleaning and data collection were carried out, 1671 test data were obtained. In the test data, there are several probability values that contain various criteria and attributes used to determine the classification of study programs for prospective new students. The number of data records is divided into 2 parts, the first is used for training data with 1158 data with a percentage of 70%, and testing data with 513 data records with a percentage of 30%. From the test results with the same method with different number of data records, the accuracy rate is from 90% to 96% with an accuracy value of 96.68%. From this accuracy value shows that the classification results obtained show the Pharmacy DIII study program

    The 1.5 inch pipe rolling machine utilizes an electric motor to drive the pipe holder and a 2ton jack as a pipe press. Although the roller machine is widely used in conventional workshops by using human power, it causes the pipe rolling time to be long and the machine user gets tired quickly. This is due to lack of resources to think about developing and improving the performance of these machines. Therefore, the focus of this research is the design of a 1.5 inch pipe rolling machine using an electric motor as a drive and a 2 ton jack as a pipe press. This research aims to produce a design and machine for 1.5 inch pipe rolling and to help accelerate the pipe rolling process and reduce worker fatigue. This pipe rolling machine consists of several components, namely, the engine frame, electric motor, gearbox reducer, chain-sprocket, shaft, pipe drive wheel, hydraulic pump and so on. The working process of this machine begins by preparing a 1.5 inch x 3 meter pipe then the pipe is positioned above the drive wheel, lowers the upper pressure wheel to the desired depth with a 2ton jack power, turn on the electric motor and press the button to roll the pipe back and forth and so on. up to pipe roll size as needed. The stages in making this machine are design, detailed drawing, manufacturing process, quality control, assembly and testing, data retrieval and data analysis. The research resulted in drawings of the design and manufacture of the machine, the calculation of the rotational speed of the machine for optimal rolling obtained 20.46 rpm and an average pipe rolling time of 6.80 minutes for one workpiece.     School is a formal educational institution recognized by the Indonesian State Education Institute, every citizen has the right to get it. In accordance with field interview observations, there is no equal distribution of junior high school locations around sub-districts in Aceh Besar and the distance of school locations from students\u27 residences is very far. The purpose of this study is to analyze geographic information systems (GIS) on the probability of building  new school in Aceh district, which are divided in 4 criterias; high, medium, low, and no probability, as well as using school spatial analysis (buffer, overlay and clip) and scoring methods to determine the probability for the location of the new school.     Studi Eksperimental Pengaruh Variasi Deflektor Pelat Lengkung terhadap Performa Turbin Air Savonius Sumbu Vertikal Dua Sudu

    The Savonius turbine has a simple construction making it easy to build. The weakness of the conventional Savonius turbine is that there is a negative torque due to the presence of blades that are opposite to the flow direction. Negative torque can be reduced by placing a curved plate at the front of the turbine. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of a curved plate deflector for the performance of a two-blade Savonius vertical axis air turbine. The research was conducted by varying the curvature of the deflector, namely 1/4 circle, 3/8 circle and 1/2 circle experimentally. The test results show that the addition of a curved plate deflector improves turbine performance compared to without using a deflector. Of the three variations of the deflector, the 1/4 circle deflector has the highest performance with a power generated of 0.266 Watt and a power coefficient of 0.169 at 113 rpm.The Savonius turbine has a simple construction making it easy to build.     Studi Pendahuluan Sistem Akuakultur Cerdas Berbasis Online Monitoring Terhadap Unjuk Kerja Kincir Aerasi

    This article discusses a preliminary study of developing a paddlewheel aerator for shrimp ponds using an integrated intelligent aquaculture system to support intensification. Two paddlewheel aerators with different phases have been successfully installed. The test was carried out on two different types of motors, which were intended to comprehend the performance of every motor on a paddlewheel aerator. The ratio of the speed values for a single-phase motor was 102 rpm and for a 3-phase motor was 110.3 rpm. The data from the performance observation of the aeration wheel motor can be viewed via a smartphone using a website application. The data displayed from the observations are in the form of data on voltage, current, frequency, power, power factor, and the power generated by the pinwheel motor. The test results show the performance of the aeration wheel motor that works under normal conditions with an average measurement error of 0.23%, below the acceptable error limit of 0.5%. This research forms the basis for a smart aquaculture system that can be developed domestically to support local industries in Indonesia.Artikel ini membahas studi pendahuluan pengembangan kincir aerasi untuk tambak udang menggunakan sistem akuakultur cerdas terintegrasi untuk mendukung intensifikasi. Dua kincir aerasi dengan fasa yang berbeda telah berhasil dipasang. Pengujian dilakukan pada dua tipe motor berbeda, yang dimaksudkan guna memahami unjuk kerja dari masing-masing jenis motor pada kincir aerasi, dimana perbandingan nilai kecepatan pada motor kincir 1 fasa sebesar 102 rpm dan motor kincir 3 fasa sebesar 110.3 rpm. Data hasil pengamatan unjuk kerja motor kincir aerasi dapat dilihat melalui smartphone menggunakan aplikasi website. Data yang ditampilkan dari hasil pengamatan berupa data tegangan, arus, frekuensi, daya, faktor daya, dan daya yang dihasilkan motor kincir. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan kinerja motor kincir aerasi yang bekerja pada keadaan normal dengan persentase kesalahan pengukuran rata-rata sebesar 0,23% dibawah batas error yang dapat diterima 0,5%. Penelitian ini menjadi landasan untuk sistem akuakultur cerdas yang dapat dikembangkan di dalam negeri untuk mendukung industri lokal di Indonesia

    Uji Eksperimental Emisi Gas Buang Mesin Bensin 160 cc Berbahan Bakar Campuran Pertalite-Butanol dan Pertalite-Diethyl Ether (DEE)

    Air pollution is increasing due to the high exhaust emissions of motorized vehicles using fossil fuels. The solution is the use of alternative energy. Butanol and Diethyl Ether (DEE) are alcohols that can be used as a fuel mixture and are environmentally friendly. This is because butanol and DEE have high oxygen levels so the oxidation process in the combustion chamber increases and the residual gas results from combustion is better. This study tested the residual gas from the combustion of a 160 cc gasoline engine using a mixture of pertalite-butanol and pertalite-DEE fuels with 5%, 10%, and 15% alcohol percentages. The test results show that adding DEE produces better engine exhaust emissions than adding butanol. CO emissions decreased by 87% using DEE15 while B15 reduced CO by 72%. DEE10 improves HC by 73% while B15 improves HC by 72%. However, DEE15 increases CO2 by 17% and B15 by 11%. Meanwhile, the oxygen content increased by 8% in DEE15 and 6% in B15 compared to pure pertalite.Polusi udara meningkat akibat tingginya emisi gas buang kendaraan bermotor berbahan bakar fosil. Solusinya adalah penggunaan energi alternatif. Butanol dan Diethyl Ether (DEE) merupakan alkohol yang dapat dijadikan campuran bahan bakar dan ramah lingkungan. Hal ini karena butanol dan DEE memiliki kadar oksigen yang tinggi sehingga proses oksidasi dalam ruang bakar meningkat dan gas sisa hasil pembakaran lebih baik. Penelitian ini menguji gas sisa hasil pembakaran mesin bensin 160 cc dengan menggunakan campuran bahan bakar pertalite-butanol dan pertelite-DEE dengan prosentase alkohol 5%, 10% dan 15%. Hasil pengujian menunjukan penambahan DEE menghasilkan emisi gas buang mesin lebih baik dibanding penambahan butanol. Emisi CO menurun 87% menggunakan DEE15 sedangkan  B15 menurunkan CO sebesar 72%. DEE10 memperbaiki HC sebesar 73% sedangkan B15 memperbaiki HC sebesar 72%. Namun, DEE15 meningkatkan CO2 sebesar 17% dan B15 sebesar 11%. Sedangkan kandungan oksigen meningkat 8% pada DEE15 dan 6% pada B15 dibanding pertalite murni

    Penerapan Metode First Come First Served (FCFS) Pada Sistem Informasi Layanan Perawatan dan Perbaikan Aset Kampus

    Assets are resources owned by an entity. Cilacap State Polytechnic is a higher education institution that has many assets. Current asset maintenance and repair services are still carried out conventionally. Each work unit must fill out a maintenance and repair proposal form and then submit it to the Maintenance, Repair, and Maintenance Unit (UP3). The proposal will be recorded and scheduled to be followed up by the Technician. The problem that occurs is that the proposal form is often scattered and even lost so the response time is often slow. In addition, maintenance and repair schedules are often not ordered according to the time of the request. This has an impact on the abandonment of work in certain work units. The purpose of this research is to create an information system for the repair and maintenance of campus assets. In order for maintenance and repair services to be carried out according to the time of the request, the FCFS method is applied. Thus, the service process for maintaining and repairing campus assets becomes more organized, schedules (queues) are sequenced, and the response time for incident handling is faster.Aset adalah sumber daya yang dimiliki oleh suatu entitas. Politeknik Negeri Cilacap merupakan pendidikan tinggi yang memiliki banyak aset. Layanan perawatan dan perbaikan aset yang berjalan saat ini masih dilakukan secara konvensional. Setiap unit kerja harus mengisi form usulan perawatan dan perbaikan kemudian diserahkan kepada Unit Pemeliharaan, Perbaikan, dan Perawatan (UP3). Usulan tersebut akan dicatat dan dijadwalkan untuk ditindaklanjuti oleh Teknisi. Permasalahan yang terjadi yaitu form usulan sering tercecer bahkan hilang sehingga respon time penanganan menjadi lambat. Disamping itu, jadwal perawatan dan perbaikan sering tidak urut berdasarkan waktu permintaan. Hal tersebut berdampak pada terbengkelainya pekerjaan pada unit kerja tertentu. Tujuan penelitian adalah membuat sistem informasi layanan perbaikan dan perawatan aset kampus. Agar layanan perawatan dan perbaikan yang dilakukan sesuai dengan waktu permintaan, maka diterapkan metode FCFS. Dengan demikian, proses layanan perawatan dan perbaikan aset kampus menjadi lebih terorganisir, jadwal (antrian) menjadi urut, dan respon time penanganan incident lebih cepat

    Analisis Pupuk Organik Cair Limbah Industri Tahu dan Air Cucian Beras

    Domestic waste contains good organic matter for plant growth. One of the domestic wastes owned by each house is rice washing water. In addition, the tofu industry is also widely found in Indonesia, one of which is Cilacap City. The content of organic matter possessed by the two wastes is a source of plants. To reduce the environment, this waste can be used as raw material for making liquid organic fertilizer (POC). In addition to being environmentally friendly, the raw materials used are also easy to find. This study aims to analyze pH, temperature and levels of C- Organic in liquid organic fertilizer from tofu industrial waste and rice washing water. The manufacture of liquid fertilizer is carried out using the anaerobic method, which utilizes bacteria that are active without oxygen through a fermentation process for 14 days. To determine the effect of adding EM4 and molasses, compositional variations were carried out on samples of liquid fertilizer, namely KO, P1, P2, and P3 with molasses volume sequentially 0 grams, 5 grams, 5 grams, 10 grams. Meanwhile, the volume of EM4 added sequentially is 0%, 5%, 10% and 5%. Measurements of pH and temperature were carried out every 4 days, but measurements of C- Organic were carried out at the beginning and end of the mini-research. The final pH of POC was in accordance with quality standards with KO which is 4.5 and P1, P2 and P3 which are 4. The final temperature of KO samples was 29.5oC, P1 29oC, P2 and P3 28.5oC. The highest organic-C content was owned by the knockout sample, which was 0.00297. All samples in this mini research are not included in liquid organic fertilizer (POC) but can be classified as nutrients for soil improvement
