    Pengomposan Sampah Kulit Nanas, Kotoran Ayam, dan Kotoran Sapi Menggunakan Larva Black Soldier Fly (BSF)

    Pineapple production which reaches 8.75% of the total production of all fruits in Indonesia produces pineapple peel waste that has not been processed. Therefore, composting with Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae was carried out to overcome this problem. Variations in the composition of the compost material used in this study were one hundred percent pineapple peel, a mixture of pineapple skin and cow dung (25:75), and a mixture of pineapple skin and chicken manure (25:75). Temperature, pH, moisture content, C/N and final weight of BSF larvae were analyzed. The weight of the larvae used in each composition of the compost material is fourteen grams. The results showed that the temperature, pH, and moisture content of the compost had met the requirements according to Indonesian National Standard number 19-7030-2004. The C/N ratio of compost with 100% pineapple peel, pineapple skin and cow dung (25:75), and pineapple peel and chicken manure (25:75) were 24.6; 16.3; and 14.2, respectively. The C/N ratio of compost with a composition of one hundred percent pineapple peel did not meet the standard. Compost with a mixture of pineapple skin and livestock manure (cow and chicken) met the standard. The weight gain of the larvae in each reactor was in the range of forty to fifty times the initial weight of the larvae added to the reactor

    Hospital waste water is one of the causes of environmental pollution. Where river pollution is one of the effects (Sari et al., 2020). The high content of Total Suspended Solid (TSS) is the one of the parameters of river pollution. High TSS content in rivers has the potential to cause siltation (Ruhmawati et al., 2017). So that the management of hospital waste water is very important (Sari et al., 2020). One of the economical waste treatment methods is the phytoremediation (Novita et al., 2019). The research was conducted by mixing wastewater with acclimatized water (1:1), then 4 liters were taken and put into a container containing water spinach with a weight of (50, 100, 150, 200, 250) grams. Tests were carried out with variations in contact time (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) days. Samples were taken as much as 500 ml and then tested for its TSS content. It was concluded that contact time had an effect on decreasing TSS levels, while for biomass weight it had no effect. In addition, it was found that the effectiveness of water spinach in reducing the highest TSS level was 85% with a TSS level of 3 mg/L which occurred on a weight variation of 250 grams on the second day and at a weight of 100 and 200 grams on the third day, which means that water spinach was quite effective in reducing TSS levels in hospital wastewater

    Sustainable development is a global agenda which is better known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and scheduled to start in 2016-2030, from the 17 SDGs goals, there are 3 goals that promote waste reduction and climate change mitigation, namely the 6th goal on clean water and proper sanitation, the 13th goal of dealing with climate change and the 14th goal of protecting marine ecosystems. Analysis of Waste Management at the Ibnul Qoyyim Putri Islamic Boarding School that located in Yogyakarta is an attempt to show that waste management in the school institutional is able to have an impact on individuals and has relevance to the three SDGs goals above. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a sociological approach where researchers allow natural interviews to obtain objective research results. Based on the results of the study, waste management in PP Ibnul Qoyyim was able to raise awareness of the majority of students and teachers about the importance of managing waste as evidenced by the reduction in waste that accumulates in landfills, a cleaner and more organized environment to the growing awareness that by processing waste one can protect nature for sustainability. For future generations, this waste management is also relevant to the SDGs goals 6, 13 and 14 and is able to increase the creativity of students in utilizing recycled waste

    K-Means is very dependent on determining the center cluster initial which has an impact on the quality  of clusters resulting, in addition to determining the center of cluster the number of k that will be used it can also affect the quality of the cluster from the method K-Means. Poverty is mostly experienced by rural communities, this can be seen from the lack of existing facilities to serve the interests of the community in various fields. To avoid the imbalance that occurs, a development plan is needed in accordance with the characteristics of the welfare of the people in the region. Therefore, we need an effort to group villages so that policy making is right on target. One of the algorithms clustering that is commonly used is the K-Means algorithm because it is quite simple, easy to implement, and has the ability to group large data groups very quickly. However, the K-Means algorithm has a weakness in determining the center cluster initial given. Initialization of centers cluster randomly may result in formation clusters changing (inconsistent). For this reason, the K-Means method needs to be combined with the hierarchical method in determining the center cluster initial. This combination method is called Hierarchical K-Means which is a combination of methods hierarchical and partitioning, where the process is hierarchical used to find the initial center initialization cluster and the process partitioning to get the cluster optimal. The hierarchical method used in this study is the method single linkage. Based on the method Elbow , the recommended amount of k for this study is k = 4.The combination of the single linkage and k-means algorithms with k = 4 in this study results in avalue silhouette coefficient of 0.685 which is a feasible or appropriate cluster category, while the evaluation measurement by Davies The Boulldin Index yielded a value of 0.577.&nbsp

    End-User Computing Satisfaction on Digital Trade Facilitation in the Philippines

    Digital trade facilitation is increasingly becoming essential in a modern customs environment. Many countries have started computerizing and automating their trade procedures, the success of which depends upon their government’s information technology development. In usability perspective, the most appropriate success measure of an information system is the end-users’ satisfaction. This study assessed the end-user computing satisfaction (EUCS) on digital trade facilitation in the Philippines, known as electronic to mobile (e2m) system. This also determined the profile of e2m clients and the differences on their satisfaction. This further established correlations among the dimensions of EUCS. The study is a descriptive-survey research, which used a valid and reliable EUCS questionnaire. The respondents consisted of 49 e2m clients who were selected conveniently. Statistical tests employed were Mann-Whitney U-Test, Kruskal-Wallis H-Test, and Spearman’s Correlation. Results showed that majority of respondents are customs brokers, most are 4-6 years in profession, and with more than 10 transactions in a month. The end-users were generally satisfied on the total EUCS, as well as in content, accuracy, and timeliness, while they were very satisfied in format, and ease of use. Results also revealed that there are significant differences on clients’ satisfaction on format when grouped to profession, on ease of use when grouped to years in profession, and on accuracy and total EUCS when grouped to number of transactions in a month. All the five EUCS dimensions have significant positive moderate to strong correlations with each other

    One of the Internet of Things (IoT) components is a microcontroller. One of the many microcontrollers is the Raspberry Pi. This component is often used because it is similar to a small computer. Many people use Rapid Application Development (RAD) in making web-based applications because it is considered very flexible and can iterate on the design and development section. There are several studies related to utilizing website development to help hospitals. However, the real problem is that the use of technology such as clinical information websites has not been widely used for small clinics. This is hampered by the location of the clinics, which are far from the urban center. This study has a goal to develop a website application with the help of a Raspberry Pi. This component works as a computer replacement medium (having wifi and a processor) applied to clinical LED TV because there is no computer to display it, and making the administration of the website itself tested by testing and evaluation using Black Box and User Acceptance Test (UAT). In testing and evaluation, it was found that 5 trials of Black Box testing got good results with all categories achieved. 76.13% of UAT results are included in the "Satisfied" category on the UAT test where the best result is "Very Satisfied".     Tujuan penelitian digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengaruh perlakuan hot alkali pada serat kenaf dan melakukan penambahkan microcrystalline cellulose(MCC) untuk meningkatkan kekuatan tarik dan kekuatan lentur komposit. Serat kenaf direndam dengan larutan NaOH  sebanyak 6 % berat dan aqudes. Waktu perendaman selama 6 jam dengan perlakuan hot alkali pada temperatur  sebesar 40 °C, 60 °C dan 80 °C. Pencampuran matrik unsaturated polyester dan microcrystalline cellulose menggunakan magnetic stirrer  dengan menerapkan metode Taguchi. matrik Unsaturated polyester dan MCC dicampur dengan suhu 40 oC, kecepatan putar 250 Rpm, selama waktu 30 menit, dengan komposisi MCC sebesar 5 %. Pencetakan komposit menggunakan sistem injection molding dengan penekan menggunakan kemampuan dongkak. Hasil pengujian kekuatan tarik menunjukkan adanya peningkatan sebesar 27,91 %, dari kekuatan tarik sebelum perlakuan 66,69 MPa menjadi 85,65 MPa. Hasil pengujian kekuatan lentur meningkat sebesar 31,41 %, dari serat tanpa perlakuan 75,25 MPa menjadi 98.89 MPa dengan perlakuan hot alkali 40 oC.  Modulus elastisitas memiliki grafik yang sebanding dengan hasil kekuatan tarik dan kekuatan lentur. Peningkatan kekuatan tarik dan lentur dikarenakan serat telah bersih dari kotoran akibat perlakuan hot lkali dan pencampuran microcrystalline cellulose.&nbsp

    Analisa Variasi Putaran Friction Welding Terhadap Kekerasan Logam Aluminium Paduan Seri 1100-H18

    Research in aluminum splicing continues to be improved, so that the joining process becomes easier and to increase hardness. Friction stir welding (FSW) aluminum joining process. The purpose of this study was to find out more clearly about the mechanical properties of the hardness of the specimen. The material used is aluminum alloy 1100-H18 series. The research method is friction welding with Vertical Milling as a turning tool. The tests were carried out in different rounds, namely; 660 rpm; 1115 rpm; 1750 rpm and 2720 rpm with a fixed tool feed rate of 20 mm/minute. The results of the Vickers test show that the hardness of the Base Metal (BM) area at 660 rpm is the highest at 101.4 and the lowest is 97.62 at 1115 rpm. The highest average hardness value of 94.98 occurs at 1115 rpm and the lowest is 75.18 at 2720 rpm. A significant effect on the hardness of the specimen due to the rotational speed of the tool spindle (electrode), the higher the rotation, the higher the heat generated and the rate of The slow cooling in the HAZ and SZ regions will be greater, as a result the hardness in the HAZ and SZ regions will decrease

    The current handling of waste, especially styrofoam, plastic, used oil is not optimal, these wastes can be used to manufacture other products such as bricks with a simple process. If the waste is processed properly, it will get good economic value. To get a good value or product, it is necessary to do research or testing, as in this study, namely the use of styrofoam waste, plastic and used oil to be used as bricks. In this study, it is hoped that the public will understand and understand the quality of the types of composite bricks and ordinary types of bricks seen from their advantages and disadvantages. Styrofoam waste, plastic and used oil are mixed into bricks with a volume of 21.27%. The equipment used in this research are chopper, stirrer, digital balance and compression test machine. In this study, the results of the III (composite) molded bricks decreased the compressive strength of 59% compared to mortar and cement bricks. The results of the compressive strength test in mold III (composite) were 47.76% higher than that in mold II on composite brick. Composite III bricks are classified as quality III, namely with solid type bricks that cannot get a large load

This activity was held at SMP Negeri 3 Mendo Barat, Bangka. The time for this training is two days. The result of this community service activity was graphic design training for teachers which went well with the improvement of skills in the field of information technology
