Talent retention and the reduction of work-related stress have become key challenges in contemporary organisational management. This study explores the impact of Happiness Management on turnover intention, considering work-related stress as a mediating variable, and assessing differences between public and private sector employees. Based on the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) theory, a quantitative, non-experimental, and cross-sectional design was adopted. Data were collected via a structured online questionnaire from 414 employees in Mexico. The data were analysed using Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modelling (CB-SEM) and Multigroup Analysis (MGA) to compare sectoral differences. The results show that Happiness Management significantly reduces turnover intention both directly and indirectly by lowering work-related stress. These effects are more pronounced in the private sector, where job instability makes employees more sensitive to workplace well-being. In contrast, in the public sector, stress exerts a stronger influence on turnover intention, indicating that bureaucratic constraints and a lack of incentives may diminish the impact of happiness initiatives. The findings highlight the importance of tailoring organisational strategies to the institutional context. Specifically, they suggest that private organisations may benefit more from implementing well-being initiatives, while public institutions should prioritise stress-reduction measures. This study provides empirical support for the integration of Happiness Management into strategic human resource practices and offers sector-specific insights to enhance talent retention and workplace well-being.UJA Universidad de Jaénhttps://revistaselectronicas.ujaen.es/index.php/REE/article/view/9542/974

ABSTRAC/ The evaluation report on the CETYS Multi-Experiential educational model, led by Dr. Miguel Ángel Zabalza, professor emeritus at the University of Santiago de Compostela (2024), begins with this statement: "Designing an educational model like the Multi-Experiential is a great achievement, as few universities in Ibero-America have an explicit model." Dr. Zabalza is a renowned specialist in higher education, particularly pedagogy (Gárate, 2025), hence the expression carries great institutional weight. What is the CETYS Multi-Experiential educational model and why can it be considered an innovative strategy? The purpose of this article is to answer both questions, describing the spatiality, temporality, and essential features of the model, highlighting the aspects that can be considered educational innovation.OEI.Inthttps://oei.int/publicaciones

Membrane Pseudo-Bacterial Potential Field with GPU Acceleration for Mobile Robot Path Planning

    No full text
Path planning is one of the most important tasks in mobile robots. This task is computationally intensive, and it is intensified by the complexity of the environment. This work presents the membrane pseudo-bacterial potential field algorithm with GPU (graphics processing unit) acceleration for mobile robot path planning. This proposal includes the combination of membrane computing, the pseudo-bacterial genetic algorithm, and the artificial potential field method. In this work, we will focus on testing the proposed algorithm in four test environments with distinctive challenges for each one. These experiments are carried out to test the membrane pseudo-bacterial potential field algorithm in terms of path length and computation time. We show how data-intensive tasks in mobile robots can be processed efficiently using the GPU through a parallel computing implementation, in which different paths are concurrently calculated to select the best one. Experiments and simulation results are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposal in computational performance achieving a factor above 8X on CPU (central processing unit) and above 133X on GPU

Understanding what organisational factors most influence staff turnover remains a chal-lenge in human talent management. This study addresses this issue by examining how transformational leadership, work cli-mate, and happiness management interact to explain turnover intention. A sample of 414 workers from various industries in Mex-ico was surveyed, and data were analysed using structural equation modelling. The findings show that transformational leader-ship significantly influences work climate and happiness management. However, as expected given the mediating structure of the model, there is no direct effect between transformational leadership and turnover intention. Instead, work climate and happi-ness management act as mediators, with happiness management playing a direct and significant role in reducing turnover inten-tion. These results reveal complex interde-pendencies and underscore the importance of promoting leadership styles and organisa-tional strategies that strengthen happiness management to enhance talent retention and organizational sustainability.Anduli Revistahttps://revistascientificas.us.es/index.php/anduli/article/view/2767

Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) are part of the academic offerings of higher education institutions, defined as the space created through information and communication technologies where a series of environments converge to facilitate analysis, reflection, and appropriation of knowledge (Ramírez García et al, 2021). In these environments, self-regulation of learning is relevant for satisfactory academic performance. Self-regulation is a process by which students control their thoughts, actions, and emotions to achieve specific learning goals (Zimmerman et al., 1996). Executive functions are cognitive skills that allow planning, organization, decision-making, and impulse control, which are fundamental for effective self-regulation (Barkley, 2012). The purpose of this study is to characterize the profile of self-regulation, as an executive function, in graduate students and executive careers participating in Virtual distance education at a university located in northwestern Mexico. The project was developed following a non-experimental methodology, a quantitative approach, correlational and cross-sectional scope. Two assessment instruments were used: the Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function, Self-Report (BRIEF-A) and the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ). This paper presents the results of the first of two phases, which consisted of a pilot test of the BRIEF-A instrument with 71 students, obtaining relevant information on executive functions related to planning, organization, self-monitoring and metacognition.iafor Research Archive The Barcelona Conference on Education 2024: Official Conference Proceedinghttps://papers.iafor.org/submission87964

NEW CHALLENGES IN HIGHER EDUCATION AND THE CETYS MULTI EXPERIENTIAL MODEL

This paper examines CETYS University's response to a changing and challenging educational landscape by implementing its Multiexperiential Educational Model, launched in 2023, driven by digital transformation and integrating advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, micro-credentials, and experiential learning. This initiative aligns with the institution's 2036 strategic plan, guided by four fundamental pillars: fostering a culture of innovation, achieving significant impact, enhancing national and international relevance, and providing transformative experiences. In the wake of the pandemic in 2020, CETYS assessed the digital competencies of teaching staff and their adaptation to technology-driven teaching contexts following a strategic shift enabled by the Flex 360 model, which facilitated multimodal education amid forced classroom closures. This new educational framework, known by the community as CETYS Multiexperiential, addresses post-pandemic expectations of flexibility, expanded use of educational technology, and demands for enriched multimodal learning experiences. Innovative components such as virtual laboratories and micro-credentials have been incorporated to promote curricular flexibility and continuous skills development. This approach would allow CETYS to position itself as a transformative and adaptable higher education institution supported by humanistic and experiential learning principles.https://library.iated.org/view/BELTRAN2025NE
