Malam midodareni adalah malam tirakatan menjelang hari pernikahan. Malam tirakatan ini dilaksanakan oleh kerabat, kenalan, dan orang-orang sekitar rumah calon pengantin perempuan dengan hening. Upacara midodareni sebagai salah satu upacara di Jawa mempunyai makna yang dalam. Ritus ini dilakukan oleh masyarakat Jawa untuk memperoleh keselamatan, terutama dalam rangkaian upacara perkawinan. Dalam ritus midodareni ini, masyarakat Jawa percaya akan peran bidadari yang mampu mempercantik dan memberi restu kepada calon pengantin yang akan melangsungkan perkawinannya. Ritus atau upacara malam midodareni ini berasal dari cerita rakyat Jaka Tarub yang memperisteri bidadari Dewi Nawangwulan, yang memiliki putri bernama Dewi Nawangsih dan dari kisah perkawinan pahlawan Arjuna dengan titisan bidadari yang bernama Dewi Wara Subadra yang diberi sepasang kembar mayang oleh dewa Krisna. Kembar mayang merupakan sarana yang tidak dilupakan dalam upacara perkawinan adat Jawa. Dalam Keyakinan Masyarakat Jawa, yang menjadi penghambat turunnya restu keselamatan itu adalah lengkap atau tidaknya ritus dan persyaratan yang dilakukan. Jika salah satu persyaratan tidak dipenuhi, ada kecemasan dan kekhawatiran bahwa rahmat itu tidak turun. This article then attempts to explain the theoretical conception of “Islamic education,” which considers scripture and the prophetic statement of Islam, along with the commonly held approach to education in Muslim history. This article concludes that the main motivations and characteristics of a holistic and directed education program are divided between Islamic and Western traditions, a phenomenon partly explained by transmission and cumulative divided educational values from classical times to the present

Get PDFIn the approach of Islamic law, Maslahah mursalah is a proposition to establish a new problem that has not been explicitly mentioned in the main sources, the Qur’an and As-Sunnah, both accepted and rejected. Maslahah mursalah as an option for this legal proposition begins with the Passed away of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Along with this happened, the revelation of the Qur’an has stopped coming down, and the words of the Prophet have stopped too. Meanwhile, problems continue to develop from time to time along with the development of the community itself. This is where the idea of Maslahah mursalah emerges as an option for the proposition of Islamic law. Please note, in the application, Maslahah mursalah is based on benefit. Looking at the main basis of this argument, understanding and knowing about the theory of benefit becomes a necessity in the use of maslahah as a proposition of Islamic law. Maslahah is a concept that departs from the main purpose of Islamic law, known as maqashid as-sharia. According to Imam As-Syatibi, the main orientation of maqashid as-sharia is to provide protection and protection against five things, namely religion, self, lineage, reason, and wealth. These five aspects are very fundamental things in life, so that damage to one aspect alone will cause extraordinary negative implications. Thus, maslahah is the main consideration in evaluating the value of benefits and harm from a problem that has just emerged in people’s lives. An order to assess benefits and madharat, then weigh which one is greater, the benefits or the madharat (damage).

Get PDFAbstract: The definition of Ahl al-Sunnah Wa al-Jama'ah resulted from the construction of Kiai Said Aqil Siroj's thought ie Ahl al-Sunnah Wa al-Jama'ah as manhaj al-fikr al-din al-syamil 'ala syu'un al-hayat wa muqtadhayatiha al-qaim 'ala asas al-tawassuth wa al-tawazun wa al i'tidad wa al-tasamuh (a method of religious thought that encompasses all aspects of life and stands on the principle of equilibrium in aqidah, mediator and adhesive in social life, and justice and tolerance in politics). Kyai Said Aqil Siroj's typology of thought is an inclusive (open) religious typology and the Ahl al-Sunnah Wa al-Jama'ah perspective of Kiai Said can be said of the inclusiveness of Ahl al-Sunnah Wa al-Jama'ah. So Ahl al-Sunnah Wa al-Jama'ah must contain tawasut, tasamuh, tawazun and i'tidal in acting or thinking. So as to respond to new things in modern life such as human rights.
