    Communication Ethics In Using Social Media From Hadith Perspective

    This study examines the ethics of communication on social media through the perspective of hadith as a response to crucial issues in contemporary discourse. The main goal is to identify and analyze the ethical principles of digital communication based on the guidance of the Prophet PBUH. The method used is qualitative based on library research with a thematic analysis approach (maudhu'i), which includes sanad criticism, matan criticism, and hermeneutic analysis of related hadiths. The results of the study formulated four main principles in communicating in cyberspace. First, the message delivery must be positive by prioritizing good words and avoiding unhelpful content. Second, honesty in communication is the main foundation to prevent the spread of hoaxes that often trigger social conflicts. Third, it is important to consider the impact of each message to be delivered (the aspect of maslahat), considering that every speech has moral and spiritual consequences. Fourth, it is necessary to avoid messages that contain insults, hatred, and sheep fighting, which are in harmony with the hadith commands to protect the mouth and heart from envy and envy. This study concludes that the ethical values in the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH remain very relevant as a universal moral guideline for social media users to create a healthy, harmonious, and responsible digital environment

    The aim of this research is to examine the role of effective communication in increasing public trust in the National Police based on Habermas' communication theory. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a library research approach, which analyzes relevant literature, such as books, academic journals and research reports. The main data sources come from various references related to effective communication, Habermas' theory, and its application in the context of the National Police. The research results show that communication based on the principles of Habermas's theory, especially regarding transparency, dialogue and equality, can improve the image of the National Police in the eyes of the public. Programs such as dialogical patrols and conveying information through various media have increased public participation in discussing security issues and Polri policies. These findings indicate that responsive and humanistic two-way communication can strengthen relations between the National Police and the community, as well as build public trust in the police institution

    The rapid development of social media, especially TikTok, has had a significant influence on communication ethics, including among students of Ma'had Aljamiah UINSU. TikTok as a popular platform allows instant exchange of information, but often ignores Islamic communication values. This study aims to examine the use of TikTok by students from the perspective of Islamic communication ethics. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a single case study approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, documentation, and content analysis. The results of the study show that although social media is often filled with impolite or controversial communication, students still try to maintain Islamic communication principles in every interaction. They prioritize friendly and positive communication, verify information (Tabayyun), and avoid harsh words and maintain peace in communication (Silm). Interviews with students showed that they were aware of the importance of filtering information and maintaining speaking ethics, even amidst the dominance of negative trends on social media.     Competition between the Umrah pilgrimage travel industry (PPIU) is increasingly competitive and has developed very massively today. This is evidenced by the emergence of many Umrah Travel companies that claim to be official Umrah pilgrimage organizers or have not yet obtained complete legality. This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy of the Umrah pilgrimage travel organizer marketer PT Zafa Mulia Mandiri by highlighting the transactional phenomenon between Baitullah fighter marketers and Ujroh fighter marketers. This study uses a qualitative approach and as a scalpel uses phenomenological theory, and digs up information data in the field through in-depth interview techniques with 4 (four) informants based on their own perceptions and this data is obtained through interview techniques with questions that have been prepared in advance. In addition to interviews, researchers also conducted participant observation and other documentation recordings. The results of the study revealed that there were incidents of transaction activity problems between marketers who were truly Baitullah fighters who merely carried out amaliah and hoped for blessings from God. In addition, researchers also found that Ujroh fighter marketers violated business ethics by seizing pilgrims who had been prospected by previous marketers. The study concluded that the marketing strategy of Umrah travel marketers can be distinguished from fighting for the intent and purpose as an Umrah marketer, whether only to expect blessings and rewards for inviting people to the Baitullah or only to gain profit

    This study aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the trend of using the Azar application among Generation Z as a means of communication to make friends in Kabanjahe. This study focuses on the communication behavior of Generation Z when interacting through the Azar application and User actions in the Azar application, as well as the utilization and usefulness of the application. The method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach, with four informants for the study, this study uses a purposive sampling technique in determining informants and data collection techniques obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, documentation, and previous journal articles. The theory used in this study is the mediamorphosis theory. The results of the study show that communication behavior in the Azar application involves interaction and communicating casually and users often make video calls, joke, and use emoticons when chatting, as well as other features. In addition, users also show interest in meeting friends in the real world, even though there is a sense of distrust and anxiety when meeting. Informants also create self-identities in the Azar application. The benefits of this application include improving communication, opening new insights, finding a partner, and entertainment

    This study aims to determine the application of vertical organizational communication between leaders and employees in building job satisfaction in the Spare Parts Division of PT Astra Motor Main Dealer, Bengkulu City. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method and purposive sampling technique, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the application of vertical communication between leaders and employees in the Spare Parts Division of PT Astra Motor Main Dealer, Bengkulu City has been running quite well but still faces several obstacles. Vertical communication is carried out in two directions, namely communication from leaders to subordinates (downward communication) and from subordinates to leaders (upward communication). When communication is carried out openly, clearly, and two-way, employees feel more appreciated, better understand the tasks assigned, and are more motivated to contribute to achieving company goals. However, there are still obstacles that hinder the effectiveness of communication, such as delays in information, lack of feedback from superiors, and miscommunication that arises due to differences in perception between leaders and subordinates. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve the quality of communication through openness, timely delivery of messages, and strengthening two-way communication channels so that vertical communication can function optimally in building employee job satisfaction

    This study aims to analyze the representation of bodyshaming in the film Imperfect using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. The main focus is to identify symbols and signs that portray social pressure on women's bodies through both visual and verbal narratives in the film. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through direct observation of the film and documentation of relevant scenes. The findings reveal that symbols such as scales, mirrors, clothing, and character interactions carry strong connotative meanings that shape societal perceptions of beauty standards. The film effectively illustrates how bodyshaming impacts the main character’s identity, self-esteem, and social relationships. However, an ambiguity in the message arises as physical transformation is portrayed as the primary key to gaining social acceptance. This study concludes that Imperfect not only reflects social realities concerning body and beauty but also invites viewers to critically evaluate how media constructs and reinforces burdensome beauty norms

    This study aims to analyze the representation of mental health in the film Bolehkah Sekali Saja Ku Menangis using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. The problem raised is how denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings in the film form a narrative about psychological disorders and the dynamics of character emotions. The film features the main character, Tari, who experiences psychological stress due to family conflict and tries to recover through discussion groups. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation and documentation, with analysis focused on ten main scenes in the film. The results of the study show that mental health issues are represented through visual and verbal symbols such as dark rooms, mirrors, silent expressions, and emotional dialogues. The film dismantles social myths about emotional strength, intergenerational trauma, and the role of patriarchal families in forming inner wounds. These representations form a new narrative that is more inclusive and empathetic to mental health issues. Thus, this film is not only artistic but also educational, and contributes as an alternative media in the literacy campaign and reducing the stigma against mental health in Indonesia

    Madura Di Mata Media: Analisis Framing Atas Pemberitaan Konflik Dan Kekerasan

    This research stems from the debate about the role of national media in reproducing symbolic inequality between the center and the periphery through the practice of framing news about violence. Focusing on reporting on violence in Madura, this study examines how Kompas.com and Detik.com construct social meanings that have implications for representations of territory and collective identity. Drawing on Entman's framing theory, this study combines quantitative text analysis based on Voyant Tools with critical qualitative interpretation in a mixed-methods design. A total of 70 news articles, 35 each from Kompas.com and Detik.com published between 2023 and 2025, were analyzed. The findings indicate significant differences in framing strategies: Kompas.com tends to adopt thematic framing that links violence to broader social and cultural contexts, while Detik.com predominantly uses episodic framing that emphasizes crime and the chronology of events. This study argues that these differences are not neutral, but rather contribute to the construction of Madura as a symbolic space of conflict in national media discourse. Thus, this study offers a critical contribution to the study of media framing in Indonesia by highlighting how online journalistic practices can reproduce center periphery hierarchies while limiting public understanding of social complexities in peripheral areas

    Changing times pose new challenges for the younger generation to maintain Islamic values ??amidst the rapid flow of globalization. In this context, the role of innovation in da'wah becomes very important in meeting the increasingly diverse spiritual needs of the younger generation. With an innovative community-based Da'wah strategy approach, the Darul Mustofa Jepara Dhikr and Sholawat Council plays an important role in shaping the religious character of the younger generation, especially Gen Z. This study aims to analyze the da'wah strategies implemented by the council in fostering noble morals and religiosity among Gen Z youth. The research method uses a qualitative approach with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results show that the council implements five main strategies, namely mujadalah, da'wah bil hal, mau'idhoh hasanah, uswah hasanah, and Islamic art. The implementation of these strategies has proven effective in fostering love for Islamic values, increasing consistency in worship, and strengthening religious identity among Gen Z. The study concluded that the Darul Musthofa Dhikr and Sholawat Assembly plays a crucial role in shaping the Islamic character of the younger generation. Through the implementation of comprehensive and contextual da'wah strategies, this assembly can effectively instill spiritual, moral, and socio-religious values ??amidst the dynamics of modern life
