    Curriculum Of Love As The Foundation Of Character Education A Qur’anic Perspectiv

    This study aimed to analyze the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers in enhancing students’ religious literacy. The focus of the research was on the planning, implementation, supporting and inhibiting factors, and the implications of teacher strategies for students’ religious literacy. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicated that in the planning stage, teachers designed learning activities by integrating religious literacy into both classroom instruction and extracurricular programs. In the implementation stage, teachers applied various strategies such as project-based learning, the habituation of religious practices, and the use of digital media to strengthen students’ engagement. Supporting factors included school facilities, parental involvement, and students’ motivation, while inhibiting factors consisted of limited instructional time, variations in students’ literacy levels, and technological challenges faced by teachers. The study concluded that the strategies of IRE teachers significantly improved students’ abilities in reading, understanding, and applying Islamic teachings in daily life. Moreover, these strategies fostered a culture of religious literacy and strengthened students’ religious character. The results of this study implied that such strategies could serve as a model for other schools and suggested future research to explore the long-term impacts of religious literacy programs

    The concept of tarbiyah in the perspective of modern Islamic education is an integration of Islamic values with contemporary or modern education. Tarbiyah is the core of education in Islam which emphasizes the development of human beings as a whole, both in terms of spiritual, intellectual, and moral. In the context of modern Islamic education, the concept of tarbiyah has been developed to remain relevant to the challenges of the times without abandoning its basic values. This article examines how tarbiyah is applied in today's approaches to Islamic education, by combining Islamic methods and modern approaches. The research was carried out using a library research methodology with a qualitative research type by collecting data from primary sources such as books or articles relevant to the discussion. The results of the study show that modern Islamic education through the concept of tarbiyah emphasizes the balance between knowledge, morals, and spirituality. In addition, the role of teachers as coaches (murabbi) remains the key in shaping the character of students. Tarbiyah is not just a process of transferring knowledge, but a process of forming a whole human being in accordance with Islamic value

    The purpose of this study is to comprehend how Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning activities at SMK Muhammadiyah 5 Jember use audiovisual media, especially videos, and to evaluate how effectively it works as a tactic to boost student interest and engagement.  Using a qualitative approach and field research method, the findings demonstrated that using videos significantly improves students' comprehension and retention of the material, particularly when the videos' content is created by the students themselves and is connected to real-world experiences.  Learning becomes more dynamic and significant when students participate in the video-making process. The school, through the Vice Principal for Curriculum, stated that the use of audiovisual media is in line with the implementation of the technology-based and student-oriented Independent Curriculum. From interviews with students, it is known that the use of videos makes the learning process more interesting, fun, relevant and able to increase their learning motivation. Therefore, audiovisual media is proven to be able to improve the quality of PAI learning and is recommended to be applied to other subjects as well

    This study aims to examine the implementation of ice breaking techniques in enhancing students' learning motivation in the Islamic Cultural History (SKI) subject for Grade VII at MTsN 1 Pagar Alam City, as well as to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in applying these methods. The background of this research is based on the low learning motivation of students in SKI lessons, which are often perceived as boring and unengaging. The methodology employed is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, with samples selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study indicate that the use of ice breaking during the learning process increases students' enthusiasm, activeness, and attention throughout the teaching and learning activities. The ice breaking activities used include educational games, motivational chants, and light activities relevant to the subject matter. The conclusion of this research is that ice breaking is an effective strategy for improving students' motivation in learning SKI, particularly in Grade VII of MTsN 1 Pagar Alam City

    This study aims to explore, describe, and analyze the messages of da'wah contained in the Jamu Laut tradition in the coastal community of Sei Berombang Village. The formulation of the research problem includes how the process of implementing the Jamu Laut tradition in Sei Berombang Village and what are the da'wah messages contained in the tradition in terms of faith, sharia, and morals. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach, in which researchers describe, explain, and analyze the da'wah messages in the series of Jamu Laut traditions from the perspective of local community leaders. Data were collected through interviews with community leaders to understand the meaning and values ??contained in each series of Jamu Laut traditions, taking into account the local context and perspective. The results of the study show that the Jamu Laut tradition is carried out in several systematic stages starting from deliberation and the formation of a committee to the evening event on land with the reading of dhikr and prayers together. This tradition contains a comprehensive message of da'wah including aspects of aqidah (belief in Allah, angels, books, messengers, the Day of Judgment, and qadar), aspects of sharia (fair practices of worship and muamalah), as well as aspects of morals (towards Allah, fellow humans, and the environment). The Jamu Laut tradition is a manifestation of harmonization between Islamic values ??and local wisdom which is preserved as a form of gratitude to Allah SWT for the blessings of sustenance and safety from the sea

    This research aims to find out how the integration of cultural norms and values in an effort to realize a clean village through Islamic communication. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with field research method to deeply understand the phenomenon of the Clean Village tradition in East Halongonan Sub-district. The results showed that the Clean Village Tradition in East Halongonan Sub-district contains various norms and values that reflect the acculturation of culture, religion, and local philosophy. The norms include social norms in the form of the spirit of mutual cooperation and collective participation regardless of social status; customary norms that regulate ritual procedures from generation to generation such as the preparation of offerings and customary deliberations; and religious norms that emphasize the implementation of joint prayers and recitations according to Islamic teachings. Meanwhile, the values reflected in this tradition include the value of togetherness and mutual cooperation as a form of solidarity, the value of gratitude and respect for ancestors as a form of spirituality and cultural preservation, the value of social responsibility that invites all residents to maintain village harmony, and the value of deliberation that reflects democratic decision-making. All of these norms and values are in line with the philosophy of Poda Na Lima, making this tradition not only a cultural heritage, but also a means of shaping the social and spiritual character of the community

    This study aims to analyze the social interaction and interpersonal communication patterns of mothers receiving the Family Hope Program (PKH) at the Creative Berseri Waste Bank in Lempuing Village, and to understand how these interactions and communications shape social capital, identity construction, and power dynamics within the community. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive interpretive research type. Data collection techniques include participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected using purposive sampling consisting of waste bank administrators and members with varying levels of involvement. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions with verification. The results of the study indicate that social interactions in the waste bank are manifested in associative forms including cooperation, accommodation, and assimilation that create mechanical solidarity based on collective awareness as fellow PKH recipients.but also creates a peaceful and prosperous society. Behind the seemingly egalitarian communication lies a power dynamic at work through disciplinary power and governmentality, where members voluntarily discipline themselves according to standards of economic efficiency. Waste banks create a new social structure with stratification based on a combination of economic dimensions, social status, and organizational power, and provide a mechanism for achievement-based vertical social mobility, albeit limited to the micro-community scale

    Dakwah Syekh Jangkung Di Palembang: Analisis Komparatif Sumber Sejarah Lokal Dan Jawa

    This study analyzes the traces of the da'wah of Sheikh Jangkung (Sayyid Raden Syarifuddin) in Palembang by comparing the Javanese hagiography narrative and the local historical context. The background of this research departs from the "Epoch Dilarung" event, where Sheikh Jangkung was exiled by Sunan Kudus for showing unpurified magic, which then led him stranded in Sumatra. The purpose of this study is to dissect the differences in Sheikh Jangkung's da'wah methodology between the Palembang and Java regions and see how Palembang functions as a space for the validation of his spiritual authority. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a comparative analysis approach of historical sources, which includes the manuscript of Ihtisar Riwayat Syeh Jangkung, Serat Syekh Jangkung (SSJ), as well as oral traditions and Ketoprak performances. The results of the study show that Sheikh Jangkung's da'wah in Palembang is dominated by the Istisyfa (healing) method through karomah demonstrations to overcome disease outbreaks (pagebluk) and the Sultanate's political crisis. This is in stark contrast to da'wah in the Javanese agrarian environment (Pati) which uses the Irsyad Da'wah method through the example of morality and long-term social ethics. His success in Palembang resulted in political legitimacy in the form of marriage to the Sultan's daughter and the division of territory, which theologically validated the transformation of "sacredness" into "karomah" before he returned to Java with full spiritual authority

    Dispute resolution in sharia economics often poses its own challenges, especially when the litigation path is considered slow, expensive, and does not reflect the values ??of justice and peace that are the main foundations of sharia principles. In this context, mediation emerges as an alternative resolution that offers efficiency, flexibility, and a more humanistic approach. Based on literature review, mediation has been proven to have a strong legal basis, both in Islamic legal sources such as the Qur'an and hadith, as well as in national regulations, including the Supreme Court Regulation and the Religious Courts Law. A number of literatures show that mediation not only accelerates the dispute resolution process and reduces the burden on the courts, but also maintains good relations between the disputing parties, which is very important in the sharia business world. In practice, mediation provides a higher level of satisfaction than litigation because it allows for a fair agreement to be reached by consensus. Therefore, mediation can be concluded as an effective dispute resolution approach that is in line with the values ??of sharia economics and contemporary legal needs in Indonesia

    Religious education in early childhood plays a strategic role in shaping character, spirituality, and noble morals from an early age. In Muslim families, parents serve as the primary educators and role models in their children's daily lives. This study aims to examine the role of parents in providing religious education to early childhood children within Muslim households, the forms of their involvement, and the challenges they face. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using literature review methods sourced from nationally accredited academic journals published between 2019 and 2024. The findings reveal that parents contribute through exemplary behavior, habituation of worship practices, spiritual communication, and the use of Islamic-based educational media. However, several challenges persist, such as limited parental time, low religious literacy, and external influences that are not aligned with Islamic values. Recommended efforts include enhancing parents’ religious understanding through community religious forums (majelis taklim), increasing Islamic literacy, and fostering collaboration between families and educational institutions. This study affirms the critical importance of active parental involvement as the foundational pillar in instilling religious values and shaping morally upright and spiritually grounded Muslim children
