    Psychological Resilience Skills Training To Improve Psychological Resilience, Self Esteem, And Quality Of Life

    Background: It is expected that the quality of life of TB patients will improve after treatment, but research shows indications of emotional stress in TB patients at the end of treatment, clinical, social consequences, drug resistance, and decreased quality of life, especially psychological and social aspects. Research purpose knowing the description of psychological resilience, self esteem, quality of life of TB survivors. Methods: A total of 61 TB survivors were taken by total sampling technique. 30 respondents in the experimental group were given psychological resilience skills training. Data was collected using the CD-RISC instrument, Rosenberg self-esteem scale, and WHOQOL-bref. Pre test is taken before training postData analysis used t test and regression test with SPSS 19 software. Results: Based on the SPSS analysis, it is known that no significant effect of psychological resilience on self esteem with p value of 0,33. Psychological resilience has a significant effect on quality of life with p value of 0,048. Self esteem has no significant effect on quality of life with p value of 0,335. Psychological resilience is more influential on social aspects than psychology on the quality of TB survivors. Conclussion: Possibly related to the participating in the association of fellow TB survivors. It can also caused by the length of time to recover. Psychological resilience skills can be developed by stakeholders for TB survivors

    Analysis Of Factors Affecting Recurrence People With Mental Disorders

    Background: Currently around 450 million people worldwide suffer from mental disorders. Patients with mental disorders one third live in developing countries. Riskesdas (2018) found that there was an increase in national psychosis/schizophrenic sufferers (7 per mil). The results of the 2019 study showed that patient relapses were still found which were generally caused by drug withdrawal factors, lack of family support, negative community stigma, and underutilization of health facilities. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence recurrence in people with mental disorders Methods: This study uses a descriptive correlational method, namely research that seeks the relationship between variables. This study utilizes a cross-sectional methodology which is a sort of exploration that underlines the hour of estimation/perception of information on autonomous and subordinate factors at a specific time Results: The majority of respondents were male, as many as 87 (60%), graduate from elementary and non-school, reaching 69 (48.3%). A total of 91 (63.6%) respondents were not working and as many as 89 (62.2%) were single. There was a critical negative connection between self-efficacy and relapse of people with mental disorders (Rs = - 0.414, p = 0.000). There was a positive connection between dysfunctional attitudes and relapse of people with mental disorders (Rs = 0.343, p = 0.000). There was a significant positive relationship between life satisfaction and symptoms of recurrence in patients with mental disorders (Rs = 0.346, p = 0.000). There was a significant positive relationship between social support and symptoms of mental disorder recurrence (Rs = 0.753, p = 0.000). There was a significant positive relationship between medication adherence and relapse in patients with mental disorders (Rs = 0.294, p = 0.000). Adherence to taking medication was an indicator of recurrence in patients with mental disorders with p = 0.000 and OR = 22. Conclusion: Self-efficacy, dysfunctional attitudes, life satisfaction, social support, and medication adherence affect the relapse of people with mental disorders. Appropriate action to the main factors that influence recurrence can be taken to prevent recurrence of patients with mental problems

    Description Of Suffering Duration, Self-Care Behavior, And Grade In Hypertension Patients

    Background: Hypertension is often called "the silent killer" because it is often without complaints. The patient does not know that he has hypertension but then finds himself having complications from hypertension such as heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, blood vessel disease, to nervous disorders. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the level of self care Behaviour using a behavior scale to anticipate self-care Behaviour that is usually carried out by hypertensive patients.   Methods: Observational research using suffering duration, self-care behavior, and grade in hypertension for the Independent Variable. The number of samples used was 88 respondents, and the sampling technique used was Random Sampling. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire using the Hypertension Self Care Profile (HBP-SCP) Behavior Scale questionnaire, which consisted of 20 statements. By using descriptive analysis.   Results: The results of univariate analysis of most of the patients aged 46-55 years (60.2%), female (57%), with a history of the last education level of elementary school (30%), family income per month of 2,000,000.00-4,000,000,00 (54.5%), duration of hypertension with short duration of 1-5 years (69%), self-care behavior in the moderate category (68%), and the majority were in grade 1 (48%).   Conclusion: Most respondents with a duration of illness of 1-5 years apply self-care behavior in the moderate category and are in the Garde 1 hypertension degree category at the Sultan Agung Hospital Semarang Polyclinic in 2022

    Improving The Quality Of Maternal Health Using The Assistance Method One Cadre One Mother

    Background: The efforts to accelerate the success of reducing the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in addition to access and service factors, cross-sector participation, especially those related to maternal health efforts, is to increase cross-sectorquasi-experimental outlined in an activity assisting high-risk pregnant women by health cadres.Methods: This is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental research design with a post-test and control group. The sample consisted of 20 third-trimester pregnant women in the treatment group who received cadre assistance until the postpartum period and 20 respondents in the control group, namely pregnant women who were not accompanied by cadres. The sample was selected using random sampling. Bivariate data analysis for each sub-variable used the independent T-test, Fisher extract, and chi-square. Results: Show that assisting health personnel has an effect on pregnant women\u27s readiness for childbirth (p-value = 0.017) with a CI of (-7.07768--.72232). There is a link between assisting health care providers and breastfeeding practice in pregnant women (p-value = 0.002). There is no influence between assisting health cadres with postpartum health (p-value=0.487). Conclusion: With health professionals and their readiness for childbirth and breastfeeding practice. There is no influence between mentoring health cadres and postpartum health

    Behavioral Changes In Elderly Hypertension In Covid-19 Prevention

    Background: COVID-19 is a disease that can infect everyone, especially vulnerable groups such as the elderly with hypertension. Various educational institutions have carried out COVID-19 transmission, but they are still one-way and not very effective in suppressing COVID-19 spread. Therefore, in this study, health education will be conducted using the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method so that this study aims to determine the effect of health education with the focus group discussion method on the behavior of the elderly with hypertension in preventing COVID-19. Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental design with 56 respondents for two groups (intervention group = 28 and control group = 28). Multistage cluster sampling was taking samples. The research instrument was a previously tested knowledge, attitude, and skills questionnaire for validity and reliability. The study was conducted at the Muara Enim Health Center. The data collected was processed using SPSS version 25.0 and analyzed by univariate (frequency and percentage) and bivariate (paired t-test and independent t-test). Results: The results of this study indicate an effect of health education using the FGD method on the behavior of the elderly with hypertension in preventing COVID-19 (p = 0.01). Conclusion: Health education with the FGD method can improve the behavior of the elderly with hypertension. For further research, it is necessary to involve the family as a support system in implementing health education with the FGD method using the Zoom application to increase the aggregate knowledge of the elderly in the community

    Nurses’ Perspective On Postpartum Education Needs In A Referral Hospital

    Background: The study about nurses’ perception of postpartum complication education is limited. The previous studies in Indonesia focus on providing education as a direct intervention to patients. This study aimed to determine the educational needs of postpartum mothers from the nurses\u27 point of view. Methods: This study was a qualitative study conducted from April to July 2021 in a referral hospital in Central Java, Indonesia. Data were collected through focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, and observations. The participant of this study were seven nurses in the postpartum ward. The collected data were analyzed using a tabulated theme conducted through the thematic analysis approach. Results: All the participants were females. Three major themes were generated in this study: reasons for the need for continuous postpartum education, obstacles to implementing postpartum education, and expectations of future follow-up care. The subthemes for the first theme are patients readmitted to the hospital, excessive educational topics, short admission time, and high-risk postpartum mothers. While the subthemes for the second theme are time constraints, limited educational media, and environmental and cultural influences, and the subthemes for the third theme are continuous monitoring and accessibility of educational media. Conclusion: The study has provided new insights regarding the continuity of postpartum education and the obstacles nurses face and has implications for developing a system of continuity of care for postpartum patients, especially for high-risk patients

    Impact Of Nutsi-Smartphone Application On Nutritional Knowledge Among Breastfeeding Mothers: A Quasy-Experimental Study

    Background: Nutrition knowledge among breastfeeding mothers is a key factor in good nutrition status. Some breastfeeding mothers in Indonesia suffer from inadequate nutrition status, which may affect exclusive breastfeeding practice. However, few breastfeeding women have adequate nutritional knowledge. Health education about adequate nutrition during lactation is highly needed. Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with a control group, pretest, and post-test design. It was conducted at the work area of the Panyingkiran Public Health Center, Majalengka Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia. This study used a consecutive sampling method and involved 78 respondents, divided into 39 respondents in the intervention group and 39 respondents in the control group. Data was collected using a set of questionnaires to collect demographic and nutritional data. Then, the data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test and Chi-square test. Results: This study found that there was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores in the intervention group (t=0,000 p<0,05). There was no significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores in the control group (t=1, p >0,05). Furthermore, there was a significant difference in post-test scores between the intervention and control groups (t=0,000 p<0,05). Conclusion: The developed smartphone application-Nutsi-was effective in increasing nutritional knowledge among lactation mothers. Health care providers may use Nutsi as a health promotion media in order to improve nutrition knowledge among pregnant women

    Nurse\u27s Obstacles In Delivering End Of Life Care

    Background: Death can occur in any situation at any time, and each hospital setting has different difficulties in providing high-quality end-of-life care. The hospital\u27s Islamic culture might offer new experiences to nurses when providing EOLC and be related to the challenges they face. This study identified the difficulties nurses encounter when providing end-of-life care in an Islamic-based hospital. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional survey was applied to this study. A questionnaire that was adapted from the Nursing Survey Questionnaire Regarding End-of-Life Care on Medical-Surgical Units was used to collect the data. The translation and back-translation processes were carried out in the Indonesian version. All questionnaire items were declared valid with a validity value range of 0.820 to 0.950 (r table = 0.312), and the reliability test results obtained an alpha coefficient value of 0.977 (very reliable). The consecutive sampling method was applied. The data were analyzed using univariate analysis. At an Islamic hospital in Semarang, 97 surgical and medical nurses in total participated in the survey. Results: The findings indicate that the three main obstacles to nurses delivering end-of-life care are knowledge gaps (x = 2.53), a lack of education or training (x = 2.34), and health professionals’ avoidance of dying patients (x = 2.30). Other major impediments include a lack of family acceptance and uncooperative family attitudes. Conclusion: Nurses and family factors are the biggest obstacles for nurses in caring for dying patients

    Nursing Students Engagement in the Classroom and Clinical Practice

    Background: The engagement of nursing students is very important and can affect their progress and success in the nursing profession in the future. The purpose of this research is to identify and explore the engagement of nursing students in the classroom and in clinical practice. Methods: This study used a systematic review design. This research used a database of indexed international journals such as Pubmed, Google Scholar, Science Direct, and BMC for the period 2011–2021 to search for research articles and analyze results using the PRISMA flow diagram. Research articles have been screened according to the inclusion criteria of this research, namely those containing student engagement or the engagement of nursing students in the classroom or clinical practice. Results: We obtained 12 research articles. Nursing students\u27 engagement in the learning process takes place in two environments: the classroom and the clinical environment. Various studies on the engagement of nursing students showed a high level of engagement in the learning process that is influenced by various factors, including students, a student\u27s relationships with other students, teachers, student-teacher/clinical instructor relationships, learning strategies, learning methods, and student relationships with the learning environment. Conclusion: The engagement of nursing students is important for their progress in their future profession because the level of engagement will lead to various short-term and long-term learning outcomes

    Smart Diagnosing System Design To Accelerating Early Detection Of Postpartum Blues

    Background: Untreated mothers with postpartum blues are at greater risk of severe mental health disorders. At the same time, early detection tools are manually provided and paper-based, and they cannot offer accessible access to center-compiled data despite their lack of priority in mental health services. Methods: Using a mixed-methods study design, the researcher used semi-structured interviews, while the quantitative approach was conducted using demographic questionnaires and a survey resulting from the interviews. A total of 16 participants were chosen for the qualitative study, and 60 respondents participated in the quantitative study. The sample for the study was screened by using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) within the area of Sibela Healthcare Center in Surakarta. Data collection used instrument tests and observation sheets and was analyzed by the Chi-Square statistical test. Results: Quantitative data analyses identified a relationship between age and the incidence of postpartum blues in mothers (p-value of 0.004; OR 0.053). This study showed that mothers aged < 21 and > 35 years old have a 0.067 times higher development of postpartum blues than mothers aged 21-35. Conclusion: Both qualitative and quantitative data suggest that postpartum mothers need support from husbands in overcoming the blues. Mothers and husbands need a comprehensive digital mobile phone service that involves professional health workers, health service providers, and referral systems
