    Navigating Indonesian Educational Frontiers: The Hidden Curriculum Crafters of English Instructions

    This research project intends to engage with the perspectives of ’shadow teachers’ who perform private tutoring sessions in Indonesia, focusing on a gap in the literature concerning the construction and execution of English learning programs within informal education settings. Existing studies have explored individualized instruction within formal classroom contexts. However, scant attention has been directed towards the role of shadow teachers with regard to curriculum development beyond the conventional school system. This study hopes to address some of these gaps by drawing upon the practical wisdom of these educators to reveal the complexities, collaborations, and tailored English Language learning program designing as well as the bespoke decision-making processes which occur within non-standardized educational settings

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui representasi nilai-nilai Islam yang terdapat dalam Wedding Agreement The Series. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif desktriptif dimana sumber datanya didapatkan dari sumber data primer dan sekunder. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes yang memaknai adegan, dialog, ekspresi dengan pemaknaan denotasi, konotasi dan mitos. Makna denotasi adalah makna sebenarnya, makna konotasi adalah makna yang tersembunyi, makna mitos adalah pemaknaan yang belum mendalam atau disebut dengan observasi kasar Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam Wedding Agreement The Series terdapat nilai-nilai Islam yang dibagi menjadi tiga aspek yaitu nilai akidah, nilai syariah dan nilai akhlak. Nilai akidah yakni meyakini bahwa ujian itu tanda Allah sayang pada hamba-Nya, yakin bahwa semua masalah ada jalan keluarnya, yakin bahwa semua yang terjadi adalah kehendak Allah. Nilai syariah adalah melaksanakan sholat, berpuasa, membaca Al-Qur’an, menikah karena ibadah, bakti kepada orang tua, taat pada suami, menjaga keluarga dari api neraka. Nilai akhlak yakni akhlak kepada Allah, akhlak kepada alam semesta, akhlak kepada sesama, akhlak kepada pasangan dan akhlak kepada keluarga

    Efektivitas dan Tantangan Dakwah Islam kepada Masyarakat Melenial melalui Media Online ialah suatu studi tentang efektivitas dakwah yang disyiarkan melalui media online. Tujuan pembahasan ini adalah untuk mengetahui pentingnya penggunaan media online dalam dakwah Islam penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualtatif yang menggunakan analisis isi melalui karya ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan tema yang diangkat. Efektivitas dakwah Islam melalui media online sangat signifikan terhadap masyarakat. Dengan kemudahan aksebilitas, Meningkatkan jangkauan dakwah, Interaksi yang lebih personal memungkinkan dakwah Islam dapat menjangkau lebih banyak orang secara global, tanpa terbatas oleh batas geografis atau waktu. Namun demikian, terdapat tantangan yang menghambat dakwah melalui media online. meliputi konten tak bermutu yang tidak sesuai dengan ajaran Islam dapat menimbulkan kebingungan dan kesalahpahaman di kalangan masyarakat, Respon negative, hingga kepada permasalahan teknis berupa masalah koneksi internet yang lambat, kurangnya biaya yang dibutuhkan untuk memproduksi konten dan kurangnya pengetahuan seorang dai dalam mengelolah media online. Penggunaan platform online telah membuka peluang baru bagi para dai untuk menyebarkan pesan-pesan agama kepada khalayak yang lebih luas. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi dan strategi pemasaran yang tepat, dakwah online dapat mencapai target audiens secara efektif dan efisien. Namun, untuk mencapai kesuksesan dalam dakwah penyiaran online, para penggiat dakwah perlu terus mengembangkan diri dan memperbarui metode dakwah mereka agar tetap relevan dan menarik bagi pengikut mereka. dan mengikuti perkembangan teknologi informasi yang semakin pesat

    This study aims to examine the influence of Habib Ja'far Husein Al-Hadar's personal branding on religious moderation among students at STAIN Majene through the exposure of TikTok social media. Habib Ja'far, a preacher known for his high level of tolerance, uses social media platforms, especially TikTok, to deliver religious messages in a light, casual, and easily understandable approach for various audiences. This research employs an explanatory survey method with a quantitative approach, where data was collected through questionnaires given to STAIN Majene students. The results indicate that Habib Ja'far's personal branding, recognized for his moderate preaching and emphasis on interfaith tolerance, significantly influences the improvement of religious moderation understanding among students. Furthermore, the use of TikTok as a medium for preaching has proven effective in reaching young audiences, especially students, with short video durations and content relevant to daily life. These findings demonstrate that strong personal branding and the proper use of social media can enhance the understanding of religious moderation, especially among the younger generation

    Penelitian bertujuan mengeksplorasi dinamika pemanfaatan media sosial untuk pengembangan literasi keislaman, mengidentifikasi pola konsumsi, dan merumuskan strategi optimalisasi. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, FGD, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen terhadap 40 mahasiswa. Hasil menunjukkan 82% mahasiswa mengakses konten keislaman setidaknya 5 kali seminggu dengan preferensi pada format audiovisual pendek (68%). Media sosial berperan paradoksal—memperluas wawasan namun cenderung menyederhanakan ajaran Islam. Mahasiswa berlatar belakang pesantren memiliki kemampuan lebih baik dalam menyaring konten. Diperlukan pengembangan kurikulum terintegrasi, pelatihan literasi digital keislaman, dan pembentukan komunitas belajar untuk mengoptimalkan peran media sosial dalam pengembangan literasi keislaman yang komprehensif

    This study discusses the understanding and application of the hadith regarding the obligation of husbands to provide for their wives in the high tobing village community. Based on Islamic teachings, husbands have the primary responsibility to provide for their wives and families. However, in practice, various factors such as economic conditions, social changes, and women's multiple roles influence this obligation as a result of husbands who are never responsible for family needs. The study used a qualitative approach with interview and observation methods of the local community. The results showed that the discovery of nafkah in the household still faces various challenges, such as husbands who always do things that are prohibited by Islamic law so that husbands ignore their responsibilities as head of the household

    This study aims to explore the role of digital media, particularly Facebook and WhatsApp, in increasing youth participation in the Pengajian Akbar Ahad Wage (Sunday Grand Islamic Gathering) in Sukakarya District. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with religious leaders, youth organization leaders (IPNU–IPPNU), active and less active youth participants, and community members. The findings reveal that digital media plays a strategic role in disseminating information, fostering engagement, and creating a religious space that aligns with the digital habits of younger generations. Key supporting factors include easy access to technology, the active involvement of youth in digital promotion, and support from parents and community leaders. However, challenges such as low digital literacy, unstable internet infrastructure, and lack of content innovation remain. In conclusion, digital media has the potential to become an inspirational and transformative tool for religious outreach if managed collaboratively and contextually

    This research is related to the religious rituals carried out by the Sinjau Laut Kerinci community before carrying out the Hajj pilgrimage, who always carry out the traditional bertale. This research method is qualitative, the data is obtained through direct observation and interviews with prospective Hajj pilgrims and community figures related to the Hajj tradition. Then the data found was analyzed using descriptive techniques. The Hajj tale is a means of connecting friendship and brotherhood in the Sitinjau Laut community, but today the Hajj tale which is carried out late at night has a negative impact on prospective Hajj pilgrims and the community. According to Islamic law, the hajj tale tradition is permissible as indicated by the poetry performed by the Prophet's companions when carrying out activities for self-motivation

    Pendekatan Tahlili Hadits terhadap Krisis Kemanusiaan di Palestina

    Abstract The humanitarian crisis in Palestine, ongoing since the Gaza blockade in 2007, constitutes a multidimensional challenge encompassing social, economic, psychological, and humanitarian dimensions. Prolonged armed conflict, structural violence, and limited international intervention have exacerbated civilian suffering, particularly among women and children. Within this context, Islamic teachings, especially Prophetic hadith offer an ethical foundation for social solidarity and humanitarian responsibility. Nevertheless, contemporary applications of hadith in humanitarian discourse often remain normative and literal, lacking contextual analytical depth. This study employs a qualitative methodology using a hermeneutical tahlili approach to hadith analysis. The primary source is the hadith “Al-Muslimu akhu al-Muslim” as recorded in Sahih Muslim, analyzed through sanad authentication, matan examination, and contextual interpretation based on classical and contemporary scholarship. Secondary sources include academic journals, humanitarian reports, and interdisciplinary studies on social solidarity and the Palestinian crisis. The findings demonstrate that the hadith articulates comprehensive ethical imperatives, including the prohibition of oppression, neglect, and humiliation, alongside the obligation of active solidarity. The study concludes that the tahlili hadith approach provides a contextualized ethical paradigm capable of guiding concrete humanitarian engagement and strengthening Islamic social responsibility in responding to the Palestinian humanitarian crisis.

    Student Attitudes Toward AI-Assisted Thesis Writing and Critical Reading: A Case Study from Indonesian English Programs

    This study explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in undergraduate thesis writing within English Language Education programs in Indonesia, particularly its influence on students' academic writing and critical reading. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research investigates how final-year students incorporate AI tools such as ChatGPT, Quillbot, and Claude AI throughout the thesis development process, including research, drafting, revision, and engagement with academic texts. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews involving twelve students who had experience using AI during their thesis work. Findings show that students perceive AI as a helpful tool for improving writing structure, grammar, and argumentation. Beyond writing support, AI was also seen as valuable for enhancing reading comprehension, especially in interpreting complex academic texts, clarifying unfamiliar concepts, and synthesizing multiple sources. However, they expressed concerns about the risk of over-reliance on AI, particularly when it replaces deep reading or independent thinking. These insights highlight both the benefits and limitations of AI in academic context. The study concludes that while AI tools can support academic literacy by enhancing both writing and reading practices, their effectiveness depends on how they are used. Thoughtful integration of AI in higher education should promote ethical awareness, reflective use, and the continued development of essential skills such as critical thinking, critical reading, and independent writing
