    The Providing Of Covid-19 Education On The Knowledge And Anxiety Levels Of High School Students

    Background: The lack of knowledge about COVID-19 could lead to various types of speculation about the Coronavirus spread, causing anxiety in the public and diminishing the body\u27s immune system. Education about COVID-19 is a method to enhance school students\u27 knowledge because school clusters are one of the contributors to the increasing number of COVID-19 in Indonesia. Methods: The research method adopted was quasi-experimental, with a pre-and post-test without control on 72 students. The students were selected randomly through the coordination of the student affairs teacher involved in this study. The online g-form was used twice to collect data. Pre-education data collection was conducted a day before the implementation of education, and then the evaluation of post-education was implemented several days after performing education. Pre- and post-education used two (2) questionnaires on knowledge and anxiety. Data were analyzed by using the Wilcoxon test Results: The results of the Wilcoxon test on the pre- and post-education variables on students\u27 knowledge presented a value of -4.938 (p = 0.000) with a p-value of <0.05. Therefore, it was concluded that there was an effect of COVID-19 education on students\u27 knowledge. The results of the Wilcoxon test on the pre-and post-education variables on student anxiety showed a value of -3.587 (p = 0.000) with a p-value of <0.05. Conclusion: There was an effect of COVID-19 education on the student\u27s knowledge and anxiety levels. The results of this study are expected to provide benefits for respondents, especially in diminishing anxiety by increasing their knowledge of COVID

    Antibacterial Activity Of Combination Of n-Hexane Extract Of Buas-Buas Leaves (Premna serratifolia L.) And Sappan Wood (Caesalpinia sappan L.)

    Background: The plants used in this study were buas-buas leaves (Premna serratifolia L.) and sappan wood (Caesalpinia sappan L.). The people of West Kalimantan use the buas-buas leaves and sappan wood as traditional medicine, and, based on research, they have antibacterial activity. Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli are bacteria that cause nosocomial infections and have developed resistance to many antibiotics. This research was conducted to determine the antibacterial activity of the combination of n-hexane extract of buas-buas leaves and sappan wood.   Methods: The antibacterial activity test was carried out by the agar diffusion method using a paper disc with a diameter of 6 mm. The antibacterial activity of a combination of n-hexane extract of buas-buas leaves and sappan wood in a ratio of 1:1, 2:1, and 1:2 at concentrations of 125, 250, and 500 ppm. Results: In this study, the combination of n-hexane extract of buas-buas leaves and sappan wood with various concentrations, even with increasing concentrations, did not show any inhibition zones. The factors that are thought to affect the absence of the inhibition zone are the concentration of the extract, the content of secondary metabolites, the solubility of the extract, and the length of contact time Conclusion: The combination of n-hexane extract of buas-buas leaves and sappan wood did not have antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli in all comparisons and concentrations.     Level Of Anxiety Among College Students During COVID-19 Pandemic

    Background: The Coronavirus outbreak which has become a pandemic for more than a year could potentially cause health problems, including mental health. Mental health problems can occur to any group of people including the students because of the policy of learning from home using online learning technology. Mental health disorders or problems that may occur during the COVID-19 pandemic are high levels of anxiety.   Methods: It was quantitative with a cross-sectional design study. The sample was 344 respondents that were collected through purposive sampling. It was available from 1 to 12 August 2021 using Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-42) Questionnaire via a google form. The data was analyze through frequency for univariate analysis and chi-square for bivariate analysis using statistical software Results: Based on the level of anxiety, the normal level was 13.1%; mild level was 8.7%; moderate level was 21.8%; severe level was 23.8%; extremely severe was 32.6%. The majority of respondents showed an extremely severe level of anxiety with a percentage. According to bivariate analysis, gender variable has a significant correlation to anxiety level while others have not. Conclusion: It is recommended for the college to provide and develop student counseling centers in order to support the psychological condition of students

    Background: Moringa oleivera is a local plant species that has the potential to be developed for nursing mothers. The content of phytosterol compounds contained in Moringa leaves has a function to increase and facilitate the production of breast milk.  Instant Moringa powder preparation is one of the processed Moringa powder leaves in the form of powder for drinks that can be used by nursing mothers. Dates contain sterols needed to produce hormones for breastfeeding mothers, such as estrogen, progesterone, and prolactin. This hormone has a very important role in increasing milk production. Methods: Extraction of Moringa leaf powder (15%) and dates (25%) by infundation method with aquadest solvent. Moringa powder extract and date extract were further crystallized with sucrose (60%). Results: The results of the formulation of 30 grams of moringa plus 50 grams of crystallization with 120 grams of sugar obtained as much as 115 grams of moringa powder. The color of the preparation is brownish yellow, the smell is typical of Moringa with a slightly bitter sweet taste, pH is 5.61%, water content is 5.41% and fat content is 1.75%. Conclution: There is a shrinkage during the formulation processing process of 57% of the net weight of the material

    Background: Emergency situations can arise from various diverse conditions, can come from natural conditions, humans and technological advances that have an impact on the emergence of disasters, accidents and diseases that threaten life or cause disability. Every individual in the community needs to know the flow of accessibility in an effort to seek help and the steps to provide first aid, so it is very necessary to attend training. This can be done by participating in an algorithm-based accessibility simulation model training. Methods: This type of research is a comparative experimental study with a pretest-post test design with a control group with a cross sectional approach. The respondents involved are special lay people (members of linmas in the city of Surakarta). The sampling technique used was random sampling by spreading invitations to respondents, so that 110 respondents agreed. This research instrument was tested for expert validity, namely practitioners and academics of emergency nursing, totaling 3 people. Data were analyzed by t-test with the help of a computer Results: The results showed an increase in the value of 4.4 from the pretest (Mean = 73.5) and posttest (Mean = 77.9) and the t test results showed the value of Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.00 so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest values. Conclusion: Training with an algorithm-based accessibility simulation model can significantly increase knowledge related to the emergency field. So it needs to be recommended to be carried out gradually, continuously and thoroughly to community members

    Formulation Functional Powder Drink Of Avocado (Persea americana Mill.) Seed And Star Anise (Illicum verum Hook.f.)

    Background: Production of avocados in Central Java has increased every year, and products from seeds that have not been utilized optimally will be produced. Processing avocado seeds is very necessary so that they become foods that have a high selling value while maintaining the content of antioxidant compounds contained therein. One way to optimize is to make avocado seed powder that can be processed into a functional powder drink.  Methods: The method and the type of research conducted quantitatively using a descriptive design. Parameter tests include quality tests, flavonoid qualitative tests with color reaction tests, flavonoid quantitative tests, and antioxidant activity tests using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer.  Results: Quality tests show that the functional powder drink has a smooth texture, a whitish brown color, a distinctive smell, and a sweet taste. The pH was  6,599±0,038, 6,699±0,017, and 6,741±0,030. A qualitative test of flavonoids shows positive results, followed by a quantitative test of flavonoids obtained flavonoid levels of  12,044±0,009428%, 12,214±0,009428%, and 12,419±0,009428%. Antioxidant test results for functional drinks showed an IC50 value of 128,422 ± 0.0094 mg/L  categorized as a moderate level of antioxidants.  Conclusion: The organoleptic test of functional powder drinks of avocado (Persea americana Mill.) seed and star anise (Illicum verum Hook f.) revealed a whitish chocolate color, typical spice smell, typical spice and sweet taste, and a fine powder texture

    AUVIS-Brain Gym To Increase Children\u27s Learning Concentration During Covid-19 Pandemic

    Background: The COVID-19 Pandemic Disaster lasted for more than a year and had an impact on children in their learning, including stress in learning, thereby reducing learning concentration. An environment that is not conducive to a learning process that is not optimal can make children\u27s learning concentration go down. Methods: The research method used a Pre experimental study with a pre-post test design. The population of this study was elementary school students in the Sidoarjo district with criteria. Namely, the respondents carried out brain gym with a frequency of 1 time a day for three weeks. The sample chosen using non-random Sampling with a sample size was 139 respondents. This research used an independent variable Psychosocial Disaster Management: AuVis-BG (Brain Gym), one time a day for three weeks. The dependent variable of this research was Children\u27s Learning Concentration with a questionnaire. The research tool is the questionnaire that the respondents measure to be valid and reliable. Statistical test using Wilcoxon with <0.05. Health Research Ethical Clearance letter 134/XI/EC/2021 Results: Based on the Wilcoxon statistical test was found that p = 0.000, which means that there is an influence of Psychosocial Disaster Management: AuVis-BG (Brain Gym) on Children\u27s Learning Concentration During the COVID-19 Pandemic. Conclusion: Psychosocial Disaster Management: AuVis-BG (Brain Gym) effectively increases Children\u27s Learning Concentration during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This intervention can be used as a preventive therapy for cognitive decline in children during online learning during the COVID-19 Pandemic

    Factors Related To The Social Responsibility Of Santri In Preventing Covid-19 In Indonesia: A Cross-Sectional Study

    Background: Efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 require personal awareness, understanding, and a sense of responsibility toward the community. The fundamental purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to the social responsibility of the santris in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the pesantren environment. Methods: This descriptive correlative study used a cross-sectional approach with 384 respondents (santris), a total population of 8.413 santris in various Pesantren in Probolinggo, East Java. A self-administered questionnaire was used to conduct the online survey using a Google form and social networking apps. The validity test results of each questionnaire using Product Moment with 40 participants showed a value of more than 0.312 and Cronbach\u27s alpha values of 0.722, 0.759, and 0.774 on each knowledge, attitude, and social responsibility questionnaire. Then descriptive statistics and chi-square tests were used to analyze the data. Results: The findings show that the level of knowledge about Covid-19 of the santris is moderate (49.7%), attitudes are in a good category (52.3%), and social responsibility is in a good category (72.4%). Their knowledge, attitude, and residence were all significantly associated with santri\u27s social responsibility behaviors (p 0.05). Conclusion: Knowledge of COVID-19 transmission and attitude toward the state measures for COVID-19 prevention and control were significantly associated with participants’ social responsibility behaviors. Santris becomes more conscious of their own and the environment\u27s needs and responsibility due to these results

    Differences Effect Of Neuromuscular Taping And Post Isometric Relaxation With Neuromuscular Taping And Reciprocal Inhibition On Reducing Pain And Increasing Hamstring Flexibility In Overweight Adolescents

    Background: The existence of this muscle shortening is often found in students, who rarely exercise because of a lack of awareness to move. If it occurs continuously, it will result in a decrease in functional movement and muscle shortening, especially in the hamstring muscles. Methods: At the Ministry of Health Surakarta 2020 Polytechnic, this study used student subjects aged 15 to 23 years with overweight conditions and functional impairment of the hamstrings. This research (sapphire walk test) was a study with a two-group treatment design and a pre-and post-test design. analyzed the data to find out the difference between pre-and post-test group 1 (tapping and PIR) using a paired t-test and group 2 (tapping and RI) using a pre-and post-Wilcoxon test because the data distribution was not normal on the VAS (Visual Analog Scale) values and the test t is paired because the data distribution is normal on the value of the BSSNRT (back saver sit and reach test). Results: Administration of neuromuscular taping and post-isometric relaxation and neuromuscular taping and reciprocal inhibition both had a good effect on reducing pain (p = 0.863). and both had a good effect on increasing hamstring flexibility in overweight adolescents (p = 0.786). Conclusion: The clinical implications that can be applied from this study are that there are different effects of neuromuscular taping and post-isometric relaxation with neuromuscular taping and reciprocal inhibition in reducing pain and increasing hamstring flexibility in overweight adolescents. This is an effective intervention option for overweight adolescents with impaired hamstring function

    Knowledge, Attitude And Compliance Of Health Workers In Handwashing During The COVID-19 Pandemic

    Background: This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes, as well as the level of compliance in washing hands at five moments for health workers.  Methods: This research uses quantitative research methods with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used cluster sampling with a total sample of 106 health workers. The instruments used in this study were a knowledge questionnaire, an attitude questionnaire, and a hand hygiene audit observation sheet containing a checklist table of five moments of hand washing adopted by the World Health Organization (WHO). The Chi-square test was used to analyze the relationship between variables.  Results: The results of the knowledge of health workers are good for as many as 32 people (29.1%), enough for as many as 50 people (45.5%), and less than as many as 28 people (25.5%), while the attitude shown supports (100%) all efforts to reduce health problems. There is a relationship between knowledge and the attitude of health workers in washing hands at 5 moments and 6 steps by getting a value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05).  Conclusion: Most health workers have the knowledge, attitude, and compliance to do good hand washing during the COVID-19 pandemic, and these factors are interrelated
