    Relationship Between Satisfaction and Waiting Time in Polowijen Primary Health Care Malang

    Background: Patient satisfaction depends on the quality of service, service waiting time, and the efforts made by officers to fulfill patient desires with the services provided. Waiting time that is too long will cause dissatisfaction with the patient. This study aims to analyze the relationship between waiting time and patient satisfaction in the outpatient registration section of the Polowijen Primary Health Care (PHC).  Methods: This study used an analytic survey with a crosssectional approach. The population in this study were patients during August-October 6,214 people. The sample was calculated using the slovin formula of 100 people. The sampling technique uses quota sampling. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test. The waiting time at the Polowijen PHC registration section was > 10 minutes (not ideal) for 90 respondents (90%) and waiting time ≤ 10 minutes (ideal) for 10 respondents (10%). The level of patient satisfaction as many as 66 respondents (66%) felt very satisfied and 34 respondents (34%) felt satisfied.  Results: There is no relationship between waiting time and patient satisfaction at outpatient registration at the Polowijen PHC (p Value > 0.05).  Conclusion: As conclusion The waiting time obtained by patients > 10 minutes does not affect patient satisfaction. This happens because the Polowijen Health Center is the only health facility of choice for the patient, so waiting times that are not ideal do not affect patient satisfaction

    Parental Stress in Supporting Online Learning of Elementary School Children During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Cross-Sectional Study

    Background: The implementation of online primary school level learning during the covid 19 pandemic has caused stress levels for parents. This is related to the process of assisting online learning there are obstacles or burdens experienced by parents. The study analysed the relationship between online learning assistance and stress levels of parents of elementary school children in grades 1-4 during the Covid 19 pandemic.  Methods: Quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted on 52 students using random sampling techniques. Data analysis using Kendall\u27s tau-b test.  Results: Statistical tests showed there was a significant relationship between online learning assistance and stress level (p value <0.001). The strength of the relationship is in the strong category (r = 0.653) with predominantly moderate online learning assistance (67.3%) and moderate stress level (63.5%).  Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between online learning assistance and stress level. The study underscores the importance of structured support programs to help parents manage stress during elementary online learning, emphasizing digital literacy, time management, and emotional support to enhance parental involvement

    Identification of Innovation Needs for Fetal Well-Being Monitoring: A Phenomenological Research

    Background: Counting fetal movements is a vital assessment to determine the well-being of the fetus that can be carried out independently by pregnant women. Pregnant women need to be provided with tools that are easy, practical, safe and economical so they can get accurate results. Objective: To develop a fetal movement counting tool that can be used independently by pregnant women. Methods: Qualitative phenomenological research, carried out 1 June-31 Juli 2024. Research using a focus group discussion approach on 8 participants, pregnant women\u27s health workers at Bantul Regional Health Centers, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Sample criteria: willing to be a participant, actively serving in the maternal health unit, working at a Community Health Center with the highest Infant Mortality Rate. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, analysis techniques using compression, presentation and drawing conclusions NVivo 12 Pro International software. Results: A total of 246 codes were generated, 7 categories, 4 themes, namely: (1) previous behavioral experience; (2) perception of the benefits of calculating fetal movements; (3) experience of techniques for calculating fetal movements; and (4) expectations of the tools needed. There was main topic is need for monitoring fetal movementsaya  Conclusion: The themes obtained are the basis for formulating a design to develop a fetal movement monitoring tool that can be carried out independently by pregnant women. The themes obtained imply that health workers need to encourage the use of simple and easy-to-operate foetal movement monitors that can be used independently to improve pregnancy monitoring based on maternal empowerment

    Brain Gym PACE (Positive, Active, Clear, Energetic) as a Cognitive Intervention to Improve Concentration in Elementary School Children

    Background: Concentration is an important aspect in a child\u27s learning process. A child\u27s ability to focus on a task or lesson material optimally will greatly influence the understanding and learning outcomes achieved. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Brain Gym  PACE on the concentration of children in grades V-VI. Methods: The research design was used a pre-experimental method using one group pre-test and post-test design. The population of this study were students of grades V-VI of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Babat with inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample was selected using stratified random sampling with a sample size of 76 children. The instruments used were the Army Alpha Intelligence Test questionnaire and SOP Brain Gym  PACE. The intervention was given for 10 minutes a day, 3 times for 3 days. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Results: Based on the results of the Wilcoxon statistics, a significance value of p = <0.001 (p < 0.05) was obtained, which means that there is an influence of Brain Gym on learning concentration. Conclusion: These findings suggest that Brain Gym PACE has a positive effect on improving children’s learning concentration. Educators are advised to implement Brain Gym PACE activities as part of their daily learning routine to support children’s focus and optimize the learning process. Further research is recommended to explore the wider application of Brain Gym across educational contexts and age groups

    A Path Analysis of Environmental and Social Factors Affecting Feeding and Swallowing Abilities in Preschool Children

    Background: Environmental and social factors influence the feeding and swallowing abilities of preschool children. However, understanding of how these factors interact to form eating and swallowing abilities is still limited. This study assesses the influence of environmental and social factors on children\u27s feeding and swallowing abilities using various environmental and social indicators. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in Surakarta, Central Java (April–August 2025), with 81 purposively selected children. Feeding and swallowing ability was the dependent variable, while family, school, economic, social, and parenting factors served as predictors. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and the Dysphagia Disorder Survey, and analyzed using path analysis in Stata 13. Results: Children’s feeding and swallowing abilities were significantly associated with economic conditions and food availability (b = 2.09; 95% CI: 0.08–2.58; p = 0.037), parental support and social factors (b = 3.16; 95% CI: 0.79–3.41; p = 0.002), as well as feeding practices (b = 3.27; 95% CI: 0.82–3.27; p = 0.001). Indirectly, children’s abilities were also influenced by social factors, parental support, appropriate feeding practices, school and peer environment, and social support. Conclusion: Economic conditions, parental support, and feeding practices have a direct influence on children’s feeding and swallowing abilities. In contrast, social factors, parenting styles, educational environments, and social support exert indirect effects. The main implication for health practices is the need for integrated interventions involving family economic support, parental education, social systems, and learning environments to support the development of feeding and swallowing abilities in preschool children

    The Relationship Between Computer Vision Syndrome and Sleep Quality of Undergraduate Nursing Students

    Background: Complex vision problems experienced when using digital devices are called Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). The use of digital devices at night affects the delay of the circadian phase and the suppression of melatonin as a sleep facilitator which causes changes in sleep quality and optimizes cognitive abilities. This study aims to determine the relationship between computer vision syndrome and student sleep quality. Methods: This research uses a correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling used proportionate stratified random sampling technique with a total of 198 respondents. The incidence of CVS was measured by the Computer Vision Syndrome-Questionnaire (CVS-Q) and sleep quality by the PSQI (Pitssburgh Sleep Quality Index) questionnaire. Bivariate analysis was conducted with CVS as the independent variable and sleep quality as the dependent variable, using the continuity correction test. Results: The research results show that 80.8% of respondents experienced CVS-Positive and 80.8% of respondents experienced poor sleep quality. The statistical test results obtained p-value = <0.001 (< α 0.05) with an OR value of 71.25. Conclusion: Thus, it can be concluded that computer vision syndrome is related to student sleep quality, where positive computer vision syndrome has the potential to cause disruption to student sleep quality 71.25 compared to students who have negative CVS. Nursing students are advised to limit excessive use of digital devices and to adopt healthy habits in screen usage to prevent CVS, which can affect sleep quality

    Taizé Meditation as an Intervention to Reduce Anxiety in First-Year Nursing Students

    Background: Taizé meditation is a form of meditative worship that fosters inner peace through repetitive chants and musical prayers. This practice is particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing anxiety. Anxiety itself is characterized by distressing and uncomfortable emotions that can disrupt a person\u27s sense of equilibrium, manifesting as tension, restlessness, fear, nervousness, sweating, and related symptoms. The objective of this study is to examine the impact of Taizé meditation on anxiety levels. Methods: This study utilized a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test approach. The population consisted of 99 individuals, and 33 participants were selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used was the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS)-42, specifically the 14-item anxiety subscale. Data were analyzed using the Paired T-Test. Results: The average anxiety score prior to Taizé meditation was 3.73, which decreased to 1.76 after the intervention. Statistical analysis using the Paired T-test revealed a p-value of <0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference. Conclusion: These findings suggest that Taizé meditation has a significant effect on reducing anxiety levels. Students are encouraged to practice Taizé meditation independently as a strategy to manage anxiety

    Early Detection of Mental Health in Hypertensive Elderly: Analyzing Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Levels

    Background: Elderly with hypertension are highly susceptible to psychological disorders, such as depression and anxiety, due to complex physiological and psychosocial changes. However, comprehensive studies examining the interplay of stress, anxiety, and depression within this population remain limited. The purpose of this study is to analyze mental health problems: Depression, Anxiety, Stress in the elderly with hypertension in the Mojosongo Region of Surakarta. Methods: This research method utilised a descriptive analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample size of 39 elderly people who met the inclusion criteria, namely (1) elderly and (2) having systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg. The research instrument used the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21), and data analysis was performed using Pearson\u27s correlation test. Results: Mild depression was dominated by mild hypertension (63.6%), and moderate (76.9%) p=0.571. Mild anxiety was dominated by mild hypertension (54.5%), moderate (76.9%), and severe (75%) p=0.899, mild stress was dominant in mild hypertension (68.2%), moderate (69.2%), and severe (50%) p=0.719. Conclusion: This study found no significant association between the levels of depression, anxiety, or stress and the severity of hypertension. However, given the high prevalence of psychological distress observed in the descriptive findings, healthcare professionals should prioritize mental health screening in elderly patients. Managing these psychological conditions remains crucial for improving overall quality of life, even if it does not directly correlate with blood pressure reduction

    Telehealth Model Strategy to Improve Maternal Feeding Practices in Children with Stunting: Randomized Control Trial

    Background: The eating behaviour of the stunted children is the high risk for their growth and development. Given the urgency of all the impacts caused and its high prevalence, handling stunting through changes in feeding patterns requires serious attention from the government, society, and individuals as a whole. This study utilises telehealth as an innovative solution to overcome the challenges in feeding children with stunting. The aim of this study is to improve maternal feeding practices for children with stunting using telehealth. Methods: This study uses the single-blind randomised controlled trial method. The sampling method in this study was by using purposive sampling. The participants of this study are 41 mothers who have a child with stunting. Results: There was a significant effect (p=0.169) of the Telehealth Model Strategy to Improve Maternal Feeding Practices in Children with Stunting. Conclusion: We found that the telehealth model can be used to improve maternal feeding practices for children with stunting using telehealth

    Procrastination and Parental Support as Determinants of Academic Stress in Nursing Students

    Background: The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in changes in learning methods from face-to-face to online, which has an impact on increasing the academic stress of nursing students. Academic stress is the pressure experienced in the academic environment and is influenced by internal and external factors.  This study aims to identify factors associated with nursing students\u27 academic stress levels during online lectures in the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: The research approach was quantitative with correlational analytic design and cross-sectional method. The research sample was selected by random sampling, involving 256 respondents. Data were collected using a Likert scale-based questionnaire and analysed with Chi-Square and Kendall\u27s Tau statistical tests.   Results: Gender has no relationship to the level of academic stress of nursing students (p = 0.164); while procrastination is related to the level of academic stress with a moderate correlation and positive relationship direction (p = <0.001; r = 0.285). In addition, parental social support also affects the level of academic stress with a moderate correlation and negative relationship direction (p = <0.001; r = 0.329).  Conclusion: Factors associated with academic stress levels of nursing students are procrastination and parental social support. It is recommended that educational institutions implement targeted interventions to minimize academic procrastination and strengthen parental support systems as strategic efforts to manage academic stress among nursing students
