Evolutionary Overview of Tawarruq Based on Bibliometric Analysis from 2012 to 2024
Islamic financing in Malaysia is helping the Islamic banking sector expand quicker than conventional lending. This expansion is driven primarily by tawarruq-based financing. Surprisingly, since tawarruq is the most common contract especially when it comes to financing products, the proposal in Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) Financial Sector Blueprint 2022 – 2026 to review its use must be taken seriously to target broader adoption of sustainable financing. This study uses bibliometric analysis based on the Scopus and Science Direct databases to capture the research landscape relevant to tawarruq since no large-scale studies have been performed from 2012 until 2024. The application of tawarruq on financing products is also considered to assess the importance and relevance of studies in the area of ??tawarruq. The results manage to unpack the evolutionary nuances of tawarruq while shedding light on the emerging regions of tawarruq. As a whole, this paper should be a useful resource for gaining insight and identifying the patterns, trends and impact of tawarruq within the Islamic finance industry
The Impact of Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment on Employee Turnover Intentions in the Malaysian Manufacturing Industry
One of the primary resources of an organization that can provide a worthy contribution to the achievement of the organization’s strategies is human resources. A significant problem in most manufacturing organizations is the desire to leave. Given this, the objective of this study will be to assess and measure the impact of job satisfaction and organizational commitment on employee turnover intention in the manufacturing sector. Of 200 questionnaires, 179 were filled out by a manufacturing organization (response rate = 89.5%). Demographic profiles were described using frequency count and percentages of the respondents. Descriptive and inferential statistics were adopted for the analysis of specific data gathered. Regarding inferential statistics, the measure used in the study was the Pearson Correlation Coefficient, which was used to determine the strength of the relationship between dependent and independent variables. According to the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the independent variable job satisfaction is related to the sub-variable satisfaction with compensation and satisfaction with career development opportunities, which has a low negative correlation with employees' turnover intention. However, no significant relation was found between organizational commitment and the turnover intention of employees within the organization. This research offers valuable information to organizations within the manufacturing industry regarding the factors influencing turnover intention, including job satisfaction and organizational commitment

Rationale for Selecting Taiping, Perak as a Study Location for Ageing: A Conceptual Framework for Age-Friendly Cities
This conceptual paper explores the rationale for selecting Taiping, Perak, Malaysia, as a study location for ageing research within the framework of the World Health Organization's (WHO) Age-Friendly Cities and Communities (AFCC). Taiping’s rich historical and demographic context and designation as the pilot site for Malaysia’s Age-Friendly City initiative in 2019 highlight its potential as a model for studying ageing in place. This research aims to analyse Taiping's unique characteristics, such as its ageing population, urban design, and social structures, to evaluate its readiness to meet the needs of older adults. The study highlights key factors influencing Taiping’s selection, including community support systems, social participation opportunities, accessible infrastructure, and alignment with WHO’s eight AFCC domains. Preliminary findings suggest that while Taiping exhibits promising features, such as strong community engagement and a well-preserved historical environment, gaps remain in integrating age-friendly practices and policies. This paper addresses these gaps by proposing a conceptual framework tailored to Taiping’s context, aiming to enhance urban planning and policy development for ageing populations. By doing so, it contributes to the global discourse on age-friendly urban environments and offers practical implications for policymakers in Malaysia and beyond
Conservation Agriculture Adoption Among Maize and Beans Farmers in Maseru, Lesotho: A Look at the Adoption Gradients
Despite the widespread promotion and investment in Conservation Agriculture (CA) by development partners and governments in Southern Africa, the biggest challenge is low adoption rates. This study looks at the CA adoption among maize and beans farmers in Lesotho. The study seeks to enhance the appreciation of factors driving CA adoption. They utilized a multi-stage sampling approach to select the study respondents. The study used purposive sampling to select districts and prominent CA farmers. Simple random sampling was the preferred method to select ordinary CA farmers and conventional farmers to include in the research. The study utilized a structured questionnaire to collect data from 136 households, 37 were CA adopters and 99 were non-CA adopters. The study applied the multinomial logistic regression model to analyze the factors influencing the adoption of CA in Maseru. The study findings show that age, gender, income, training, and field size influence farmers' decision to adopt CA at various adoption gradients while farming experience, land ownership, farmer group membership, access to extension services, soil fertility perceptions, education literacy, occupation, and household size do not influence the adoption of CA. The study concludes that age, gender, income, training, and field size influence farmers' decision to adopt CA at various adoption gradients. The study recommends the capacitation of extension services to improve their competencies as they should be at the center of the promotion of the adoption of sustainable farming practices. Targeted interventions for female farmers are important since the study results showed males have more chances of adopting CA compared to female counterparts
From Screen to Society: Exploring Gender Dynamics in Moroccan Cinema
One of the most sophisticated, collaborative, and by far artistic expressions is cinema. It is a visual medium that is creatively employed to either expose or construct an alternative module of reality. In a country with high levels of illiteracy, cinema can have a grand impact on people who are denied access to print publications. For the last decades, mostly in fictive molds, Moroccan filmmakers have exquisitely produced a variety of significant movies that tackle the position of women in the country. Conscious of the pervasively tremendous influence of cinema, their productions effectively coordinate between the reflection of existing realities and the structure of new ones. This paper examines the construction of women’s gender identity in Moroccan films. Given the profound influence that cinema has on the construction of people’s perception of the world, it is employed in this research to study the interplay of gender power relations in Morocco. It endeavors to investigate the way Moroccan filmmakers build on reality to produce new gender roles. Based on an interdisciplinary study, that includes a thorough physical, political, religious, and social analysis of women’s representation in Moroccan films, this paper focuses on four movies, namely Number One, The Forgotten (????????), Zineb Aghma’s Flower (???? ???? ?????), and Her Husband (???? ?????). To some extent, these films provide an idea about the organization of gender roles in the country. It reveals that contemporary Moroccan films are gradually defying traditional notions of femininity and gender roles
Factors Influencing Knowledge-Sharing Behavior Among Academicians in Technical and Vocational Education and Training Institutions
The key concern of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions is to generate graduates of high caliber. The TVET institutions endeavor to best serve the community and the nation. Being productive in their area of expertise will determine the extent to which TVET institutions can compete to provide the best education globally. Accordingly, academicians’ perceptions and personalities were assessed to identify the factors contributing to knowledge-sharing behavior (KSB). The academicians were selected from premier polytechnics in Malaysia through purposive sampling. Analysis was conducted with partial least square structural equation modelling. Resultantly, KSB reflected moderate variance whereas knowledge-sharing intention (KSI) had weak variance. The results suggested that KSI moderately influenced KSB. The academicians’ KSI positively influenced their KSB. Nevertheless, individual perception did not significantly affect academicians at KSB. The findings on Malaysian TVET academicians’ KSB can be a general benchmark for other technical and vocational institutions. Future researchers could focus on other individual factors that might influence KSB, such as religiosity
