    Get PDF
According to the recent Malaysian MADANI Budget 2023 which has been declared by Prime Minister, it is notable that 7 billion was allocated to help micro-entrepreneurs, women and youth. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that the clients have appropriate financial literacy to ensure that the loans can be repaid accordingly. For microcredit clients to have this ability, they should have sound financial literacy to be able to manage their money, make wise decisions, and maintain vigorous spending. Thus, to promote sustainable financial sustainability, the objective of this study is to assess the level of microcredit financial literacy of microcredit clients in enhancing their knowledge, skills and transparency that can lead to financial sustainability. Further, it will also test empirically whether microcredit financial literacy can integrate the cognitive comprehension of financial knowledge, skills and responsibility with respect to financial sustainability. This study will use an exploratory sequential mixed-method research design that combines quantitative (questionnaires) and qualitative (interviews) data. The data-gathering method then continues with concentrated group interviews on selected microcredit clients. This covers clients from TEKUN Nasional Melaka to deliberate on related problems. Data analysis in qualitative research focuses on the systematic search and arrangement of interview transcripts. Interviews are necessary to gain a thorough understanding of issues with financial knowledge and skills among clients. It is expected that the study will benefit the policy maker, microcredit clients and the government in enhancing financial inclusion and sustainability. Thus, the government's slogan "Developing Malaysia MADANI" can be achieved

Tourism has become an important industry that contributes to a country’s economy. Currently, the Muslim tourist segment is viewed as one of the important segments in the tourism industry. In addition, there has been a growing interest in understanding the preferences and motivations of Muslim travelers. This is due to the increasing number of Muslim travelers worldwide and the recognition that catering to their specific needs is essential for successful tourism development. The number of Muslim tourists from a Muslim-majority country increases significantly. Muslim travelers are looking for destinations in which the majority of the population are Muslims. This study is aimed to determine the factors that influence Muslim traveler preferences and to determine the most dominant factor that influences Muslim traveler preferences. Therefore, a survey of 100 Malaysian Muslim travelers in Shah Alam Selangor was done to determine the factors that influence Muslim traveler preferences. Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) is used to analyze the multiple regression to test hypotheses on the factors that influence Muslim traveler preferences. The result of the survey suggests that halal certification is a significant factor in explaining Muslim traveler preferences. The availability of halal food and Sharia-compliant hotels were found not to have a significant relationship with Muslim travel preferences. This study provides evidence of the detailed needs and preferences of Muslim travelers and enhances the knowledge of tourists, government, and service providers about Islamic touris

    Get PDF
Employee turnover has long been acknowledged as a silent threat to any organization. The turnover phenomenon has been a highly pressing concern for private universities’ faculties. Despite the attentiveness and responsiveness of high rates of turnover around the globe, research on the area of turnover or turnover intention, as well as succession planning, career attitude and job security is limited. Past studies have not assessed the scale and nature of the association between these three variables. Thus, this study aims to explore the relationship between succession planning, career attitude and job security toward turnover intention. The study specifically focused on a private university in Malaysia and data was gathered through 148 questionnaire surveys. The conceptual framework developed consisted of dimensions of succession planning, career attitude, job security and turnover intention. A set of three hypotheses was developed that assessed whether there existed a positive or negative relationship between these three variables. For data analysis, the study utilized various numbers of statistical techniques such as exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and cross-case analysis. The study results indicated that the research model developed was a good predictor of turnover intention and provided general support for all three hypotheses. The study also found that there was a positive relationship between succession planning, career attitude, and job security toward turnover intention. The empirical relationships between variables further proposed that it would be favorable and advantageous to the private university management to recuperate university turnover situations. Further discussions included the research contributions and implications

The Factors Affecting Foreign Direct Investment Intentions of Investors: A Case of Malaysia

    Get PDF
Foreign direct investments (FDI) are regarded as one of the most important sources of external financing for all countries in this globalisation era. In recent years, Malaysia has only been successful in attracting a small number of foreign investors. As a result, the primary goal of this paper is to examine the factors that have attracted FDI into Malaysia from 1990 to 2020. The study investigates the relationships between FDI and the proposed explanatory variables, namely market size (GDP), trade openness (OPN), inflation rate (INF), and infrastructure (INFRA). Multiple Linear Regression (OLS) is used to examine the relationships between the variables. The Variance Inflation Factor and the Breusch Pagan Godfrey test are also analysed to discover the data collected from the World Bank Data. Findings indicate GDP and INF have a significant impact on FDI. This study has not brought any evidence of INFRA and OPN influencing FDI inflows in Malaysia. Understanding these factors is crucial for policymakers and investors to promote sustainable economic growth and attract foreign investment

    Get PDF
This study investigates the Madrasah Tourism Experience Model (MTEM), focusing on its role in understanding the complex interplay between cultural, psychological, and environmental factors in Madrasah tourism. Despite increasing interest in religious and cultural tourism, there is a significant research gap regarding the specific experiences and psychological impacts of visiting Madrasahs. This research addresses this gap by examining key psychological variables influencing tourists’ experiences in these settings.  Using a systematic literature review (SLR) methodology, the study analyses 16 carefully selected articles from 327,715 papers to construct a comprehensive model. It highlights how social interaction, cultural engagement, novelty, pleasantness, and relaxation contribute to the tourist experience. The findings extend existing theoretical frameworks by exploring how cultural exchange and hospitality within Madrasah tourism can enhance psychological well-being and satisfaction.  Key findings indicate that Madrasah tourism can be significantly improved through tailored experiences, such as guided tours and interactive exhibits, and by creating serene, immersive environments. This approach reaffirms established theories and introduces new insights specific to Madrasah tourism.  The implications are significant for both academic researchers and tourism practitioners. The MTEM offers practical guidelines for enhancing visitor experiences and promoting sustainable tourism practices. By integrating cultural exchange and environmental stewardship, Madrasahs can provide more engaging and satisfying experiences, fostering long-term visitor loyalty and contributing to cultural and religious tourism

The findings emphasize the importance of self-efficacy in improving performance management strategies. Integrating self-efficacy with the High-Performance Cycle model yields concrete solutions for increasing leadership effectiveness and organizational performance. Investing in self-efficacy through focused interventions, coaching, and self-care can greatly improve performance management and help organizations reach their goals more efficiently

Factors Influencing Automotive Lubricant Consumer Purchasing Behavior: A Conceptual Model

    Get PDF
The automotive industry's rapid expansion and rising consumer appetite for automobiles have created an unprecedented demand for automotive lubricants. This surge in demand reflects lubricants' essential role in ensuring optimal performance, longevity, and efficiency of automotive engines and mechanical components. In the present day, consumers exhibit increased precision and selectivity in their purchasing behavior, underscoring the necessity for careful deliberation before making a purchase decision. Given the diverse range of products available, it is essential to understand consumer preferences to ensure that the selection is aligned with market demands and expectations. Thus, this paper aims to develop a conceptual model for automotive lubricant purchase behavior based on the Theory of Consumption Values (TCV), which are divided into five parts: functional value, emotional value, social value, and epistemic value. The consumption value theory, applicable across diverse goods and services, emerges as a valuable framework. Its versatility enables a comprehensive understanding of consumer preferences and behaviors across various markets, facilitating informed decision-making for businesses and policymakers. Through this conceptual model, the paper endeavors to provide insights into the complex interplay of value perception and provide insights into the drivers behind consumers’ choices regarding automotive lubricants
