Investigating Factors Affecting Fans’ Intention to Attend Anime Events: Conceptual

    Get PDF
This study proposes a conceptual framework to investigate the factors influencing anime fans' intention to attend anime events. As the popularity of Japanese animation (anime) proliferates globally, anime events have emerged as a distinct tourism market segment. However, academic research on anime event attendance factors is limited. This study aims to address this gap by developing a framework integrating three key factors frequently highlighted in the general event and fan culture literature: event image, travel motivations, and media information. Event image denotes attendees' holistic perceptions encompassing cognitive and affective dimensions. Travel motivations refer to internal and external drivers stimulating the intention to attend, such as escapism, socialization, and novelty-seeking. Media information represents sources informing attendees' perceptions and decisions through platforms like social media and websites. The framework posits that these three factors directly influence fans' intention to attend anime events. A quantitative methodology will be utilized to collect survey data from anime communities and analyse the model via PLS SEM techniques. The framework contributes a theoretical understanding of anime event attendance, validates linkages between factors, and provides practical implications for event organizers and marketers to enhance the appeal and competitiveness of anime events. Further research could extend the model’s generalizability, explore causal mechanisms between factors, examine additional variables, and conduct longitudinal studies on evolving attendee behaviour and preferences

    Get PDF
Teacher burnout emerges as a complex issue intertwined with challenges in maintaining work-life balance, managing heavy workloads, and navigating the work environment within the educational sector. Factors such as the difficulty in achieving a balance between professional responsibilities and personal well-being, excessive work demands, and unsupportive work environments significantly contribute to the risk and prevalence of burnout among teachers. Efforts to address these contributing factors through supportive policies, workload management, and the cultivation of a positive work atmosphere are essential for mitigating burnout and enhancing teacher well-being and retention. This study determines the relationships between work-life balance, workload, work environment, and teacher burnout, utilizing a quantitative approach with data from 332 teachers via a Google Form survey. The concepts of intelligence quotient (IQ) and emotional quotient (EQ) have long been recognized as essential indicators of cognitive and emotional capabilities. However, the field of supply chain management lacks a standardized measure to assess the competencies required for successful supply chain operations. This article aims to fill this gap by introducing the concept of Supply Chain Quotient (SCQ) as a novel measure of supply chain competence. The SCQ framework expands beyond traditional intelligence and emotional factors, considering the unique skills and characteristics required in the complex world of supply chains. Drawing from existing literature on supply chain management, human resources, and cognitive psychology, this research explores the key dimensions and components that comprise the SCQ. The paper also examines potential methodologies and approaches for assessing and quantifying the SCQ, including self-assessment tools, case studies, and behavioral assessments. By introducing the SCQ, this research contributes to the understanding and evaluation of supply chain competence, providing organizations with a framework to identify, develop, and leverage talent in their supply chain functions. Additionally, it opens avenues for future research and practical applications to enhance supply chain performance and improve overall organizational outcomes

The Antecedent of Life Insurance Penetration in Malaysia

    Get PDF
A slower rate of economic growth is indicated by a low degree of market penetration for insurance. In contrast to other Asian countries, Malaysia has a comparatively low life insurance penetration rate of 54% throughout the five years before 2020. If Malaysia has a less advantageous rate of life insurance coverage, its citizens will be more financially vulnerable. The observation suggests that people are generally skeptical when discussing insurance-related topics. People's perceptions of insurance are often unfavorable. Now, most people think that getting insurance or being an agent is fraudulent. This is a result of a general lack of understanding about insurance. This study aims to identify or determine the possible causes of Malaysia's low life insurance penetration. Age, awareness, and service quality are the variables linked to life insurance's low uptake. We used a questionnaire to gather primary data, and all the results were evaluated. In Temerloh, Pahang, Malaysia, the researchers distributed the questionnaire to a sample of 150 respondents. To ascertain the research outcome, SPSS was used to analyze the collected data. The outcome of this study revealed that there is a substantial correlation between low life insurance penetration in Malaysia and age, awareness, and service quality

    Get PDF
This study aims to explore the factors influencing undergraduate accountancy students at Universiti Teknologi MARA Melaka branch to pursue careers in auditing. A structured questionnaire, distributed to participants via Google Forms, was employed to gather feedback from the students. The participants, categorized based on their academic levels, represent various stages of both theoretical and practical exposure to auditing subjects. The research team administered a questionnaire to evaluate accounting students' perceptions and intentions on the factors influencing careers in auditing. There is a strong positive correlation between job security and career intention followed by career development and a moderately significant positive correlation between job satisfaction and financial reward toward students’ intention to become auditors. A general lack of interest in the profession and concern about work-life balance contribute to the challenges of not pursuing a career in audit. Students perceived that real exposure to the auditing profession via academic visits, engaging experts through seminars, and interactive teaching methods could bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice. Enhancing the alignment of educational offerings with industry requirements and students’ career aspirations with curriculum development, enhancing teaching methods, and partnerships between academia and industry will assist accounting students in developing a positive view of auditing careers and better preparedness for their future careers in this field
