    Gebelikte akut miyokard enfarktüsü (AMI), nadir görülmesine rağmen gebelik durumu AMI riskini 3-4 kat arttırdığı bilinmektedir (3). AMI maternal ve fetal mortalite açısından ciddi risk taşıyan bir durumdur.&nbsp; Daha ileri yaşlarda çocuk doğurma eğiliminin devam etmesi ve üreme teknolojisindeki ilerlemelerin birçok yaşlı kadının gebe kalmasını sağlamasıyla, bunun görülme sıklığının artması beklenmektedir.     Primary Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma of the Skin: A Rare Case Derinin Primer Adenoid Kistik Karsinomu: Nadir Olgu

    Adenoid cystic carcinoma is a malignant lesion that frequently occurs in the salivary glands and is rarely seen as a primary tumor of the skin. Although it is typically observed on the face, head, and neck area, especially the scalp, it is very rarely found in the extremities. The morphological characteristics are identical to those observed in adenoid cystic carcinoma originating from other anatomical locations for definitive diagnosis, cutaneous spread of malignant salivary gland tumor and skin metastasis of primary tumor in other sites must be excluded. We present here a case of primary adenoid cystic carcinoma of the skin that developed in the left knee region of a 68-year-old female patient

    Effect of telerehabilitation on post-COVID-19 individuals with long-term dyspnea: A randomized controlled study

    ObjectiveThis study aimed to determine the effectiveness of telerehabilitation in managing ongoing dyspnea and associated issues following coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), and observe changes over time.DesignThe study included 36 participants who previously had COVID-19 but continued to experience dyspnea (mean age, 42.44 ± 15.51 years). The participants were randomly allocated into three groups: telerehabilitation (TRG), home exercise (HEG), and control (CG). Dyspnea level, exercise capacity, muscle oxygenation, respiratory function, and fatigue were evaluated at baseline, at 6th, and at 12th weeks. Telerehabilitation was performed supervised and synchronously via video-calls.ResultsAt the 6-week assessment, TRG showed significant improvements in dyspnea, fatigue (p &lt; 0.001), exercise capacity (p = 0.001), and respiratory muscle strength (p &lt; 0.001). By the 12th week, these gains were maintained, with no further changes from week 6. In HEG, dyspnea and fatigue improved at weeks 6 and 12 (p &lt; 0.001), with no additional changes between these time points. In CG, only dyspnea improved at both assessments (p &lt; 0.001); other parameters remained unchanged. TRG achieved greater benefits compared to CG in reducing dyspnea and fatigue at week 6 (p = 0.001 and p = 0.003, respectively), but no group differences were found at week 12 (p &gt; 0.05). No changes in muscle oxygenation were observed in any groups or evaluation points (p &gt; 0.05).ConclusionsTelerehabilitation effectively improved and sustained dyspnea, fatigue, respiratory muscle strength, and exercise capacity in patients with post-COVID, while home-based exercises only reduced dyspnea and fatigue. Supervised and structured telerehabilitation may be a viable approach to managing post-COVID-19 symptoms.</p

    Body Weight Changes During Ramadan Intermittent Fasting: A Cross-Sectional Study of Healthy Adults in Turkey

    Introduction: This study explores the impact of observing Ramadan intermittent fasting (RIF) on body weight in Turkish residents, marking it as the first study conducted in Turkey to investigate the interplay of religious fasting with dietary changes amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We hypothesized that observing Ramadan fasting would result in weight loss attributable to dietary changes, while decreased physical activity would correlate with weight gain during this period. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among Muslims aged 18+ in Turkey who fasted at least two days during Ramadan 2021. Data were collected via Google Forms, with 1669 participants recruited through social media. Descriptive statistics summarized participant characteristics, and Pearson’s Chi-square tests assessed weight change differences. Binary logistic regression identified predictors of weight gain, adjusting for factors such as sex, age, physical activity, water consumption, and diet. Results: Of the 1669 respondents (53.6% female), 49.4% perceived their weight as normal, while 47.0% classified themselves as overweight or obese. Logistic regression indicated that decreased physical activity (AOR = 1.618, p = 0.001) and increased fat intake (AOR = 1.9, 95% CI 1.2–2.9) were significant predictors of weight gain.     Framing the future: the social construction of human-robot interaction through the case of robot Sophia in Türkiye

    This study examines how humanoid robots are interpreted in digital discourse through the Social Construction of Technology (SCOT) framework, focusing on Sophia’s televised appearance in Türkiye. A qualitative analysis of 3,329 YouTube comments, coded in MAXQDA2024, identified three main themes—relevant social groups, interpretive flexibility, and closure mechanisms. Findings reveal diverse reactions to AI shaped by ethical, cultural, and technological narratives. The study underscores how platform-based commentary contributes to the social negotiation of meaning around AI, offering insights for developers, policymakers, and media professionals.</p
