Hubungan Antara Kebiasaan Merokok Dengan Perjalanan Penyakit Rhinitis
One of the rhinitis diseases is allergic rhinitis (RA) which is a condition of hypersensitivity of the nasal mucosa due to the appearance of Ig E characterized by symptoms of sneezing, itchy nose, runny nose and nasal congestion after exposure to allergens. Release of mediators gives rise to a fast phase response and a slow phase response. The habit of smoking is mostly carried out by people in the world and the number of smokers in Indonesia is ranked seventh in the world. This article was written using a systematic review model, by searching for articles from reputable journals, using the PUBMED search engine which then obtained 30 articles. Allergic rhinitis has a very complex pathophysiology, from the initial phase of the allergic response to the end. Many inflammatory cells, including macrophages, mast cells, B cells, T cells, eosinophils, and CD4+, sneak up on the lining of the nose after exposure to allergens. The cross-linking of IgE bound to mast cells by allergens, in turn, triggers the release of mediators, including leukotrienes and histamine which causes arteriolar dilation, increased vascular permeability, itching, mucus secretion, rhinorrhea, and smooth muscle contraction in the lungs. Increased total IgE levels and specific IgE levels can be caused by smoking status smoking. The severity of patients diagnosed with allergic rhinitis can be influenced by smoking habits or status. Smoking does not cause allergic rhinitis, but smoking makes allergic rhinitis symptoms worse
Kajian Literatur: Analisis Pengaruh Suhu Dingin Ekstrem Terhadap Radang Dingin Pada Pekerja Tempat Penyimpanan Beku
Frostbite is a disease caused by continuous exposure to extreme cold and is very susceptible to cold storage workers. This paper focuses on the study of Frostbite due to exposure to cold temperatures in the cold storage room. This study uses a literature study method using search results through the research results library and a review of 30 references that have been presented in reputable international journals indexed by Scopus Q1, Q2 and Q3. Besides that, national journals indexed by Sinta and book references are also used. The results of this study indicate a relationship between an increase of temperature in the cold room with an increase in intercellular fluid in human body tissue to freeze due to extreme cold temperatures. The first phase of frostbite treatment is to remove the sufferer from the environment with extreme cold temperatures as soon as possible. Increasing body temperature from the inside (with food / drink / medicine) and the outside (warm water) is a good option for the first phase. In the second phase, sufferers need professional help in the medical field. Avoid breaking the clear liquid layer. The third and fourth phases require first aid to avoid secondary infection
Peran Karotenoid Sebagai Pencegahan Degenerasi Makula
Macular degeneration or often called Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is a degenerative disease that attacks the center of vision in the retina, namely the macula. In an effort to prevent the progression of AMD, consuming antioxidants has been shown to inhibit the AMD development process. Although currently there is no definite number of AMD sufferers in Indonesia, it is estimated that the number of AMD sufferers will continue to increase. Carotenoids are one of the antioxidant compounds that have been shown to inhibit the development of macular degeneration. Carotenoids are divided into several classes, one of which is the xanthophyll class. Lutein and zeaxanthin compounds belong to the xanthophyll class. The content of lutein and zeaxanthin in body plasma has been shown to reduce the risk of macular diseases such as AMD. This study aims to determine the role of carotenoids as the prevention of macular degeneration. The method used is a literature review in the form of a narrative review. Search literature in the form of journals and textbooks through Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct, and Research Gate, indexed by Scopus, ISSN, national journals and international journals. The journals used were published in the last 5 years and books published in the last 10 years. The results of the analysis show that carotenoid antioxidants are proven to be able to act as a prevention of AMD by reducing oxidative stress. Carotenoids will quench free radicals, thereby preventing the occurrence of lipid peroxidation, and preventing the formation of AMD. Carotenoids also prevent damage mediated by exposure to blue light. Consumption of lutein and zeaxanthin can also reduce the expression of VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) in the retina so that it can inhibit the increase of VEGF. It can be concluded that carotenoid antioxidants can prevent the progression of macular degeneration

Salmon ovary peptide contains benefits including: 1) Reducing the risk of heart disease; 2) Supports fetal development; 3) Reducing inflammation; 4) Helps overcome depression; 5) Improve brain health; 6) Maintain eye health; 7) Lowering high blood pressure; and 8) Prevent skin damage
Potensi Ekstrak Jagung Sebagai Pencegahan Katarak
Senile cataract is a cataract caused by the aging process that begins at the age of more than 50 years caused by free radicals, such as reactive oxygen species (ROS), formed as a result of external and internal exposure. Utilization of the potential of this corn extract has advantages with minimal side effects by utilizing corn extract, namely lutein zeaxanthin as a prevention of senile cataract. The main purpose of this literature review is to determine the potential of corn extract (Zea mays sp.) on the prevention of senile cataract. This research is literature study using national and international journals with the Scopus index published in 2016-2021 as well as literature books. Journals were obtained from search engines Google Scholar and Pubmed NCBI. Data and information obtained to support the research objectives. Cataracts are caused by Reactive Oxidative Stress (ROS). Zeaxanthin compounds work with their antioxidant properties by activating the synthesis of glutathione (GSH) in human RPE cells. Zeaxanthin increases the translocation of Nuclear receptor factor 2(Nrf2) by reducing the binding activity of Nrf2 to Kelch like ECH-Aasosiated protein 1 (Keapl1) in ARPE-19 cells. Furthermore, inhibition of GSH synthesis by buthionine suphoximine abolished the protective effect of zeaxanthin against oxidative stress-induced reduction of mitochondrial membrane potential and cell apoptosis in ARPE-19 cells thereby helping to prevent the formation of oxidative stress causing senile cataract. Corn extract (Zea mays sp.) has potential in the prevention of senile cataract because it has good antioxidant activit

Hubungan Ergonomi dan Durasi Kerja Terhadap Kejadian Myofascial Pain Syndrome pada Pekerja Kantoran
The use of computers in office workers often creates health problems related to musculoskeletal disorders or MSDs. WHO noted that until 2021, there are about 1.71 billion people with musculoskeletal disorders. The result of using computers in office workers exceeds the specified time limit and posture while working is not appropriate and occurs repeatedly and continuously causes myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) in the upper trapezius, part of the neck. MPS can cause discomfort to workers, work-related accidents increase, worker performance decreases, resulting in increased worker absenteeism. This literature review aims to determine the relationship between ergonomics and work duration on the incidence of Myofascial Pain Syndrome in office workers. The method used is a qualitative literature study. The conclusion from this literature review is that the application of poor ergonomics and prolonged working hours (the ILO recommended 8 hours a day) will affect the MPS
Perbedaan Patologi Anatomi Tingkat Kerusakan Alveoli Paru dengan Paparan Asap Rokok Konvensional dan Rokok Elektrik
In conventional cigarettes, tobacco is a major risk factor in the development of diseases involving the lungs, including pulmonary emphysema, fibrosis and lung cancer. Many of people think that using e-cigarettes is much safer than conventional cigarettes. Whereas smoking using electronic cigarettes can cause the same feeling from cotton mouth as felt by conventional smokers with symptoms such as an itchy throat and cough and complications to the lungs. This literature review uses the literature review method by conducting a literature with the keywords cigarette, e-cigarette, popcorn lung and alveoli. The results are in accordance with the objectives of this literature review. The results of the analysis show that there are studies which state that smoking with conventional cigarettes and e-cigarettes can have an impact on damage to alveoli and lung tissue. Conventional cigarettes and electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) cause damage to the pulmonary alveoli in the form of alveolar spaces, this depends on the nicotine content in them. Electronic cigarettes and conventional cigarettes exert different effects on the oxidative stress response of the airway epithelium. In addition, the image of popcorn lung can be found due to the presence of diacetyl that appears when heating e-juices in e-cigarettes
Hubungan Pengetahuan Ibu Hamil Tentang Infeksi Hepatitis B Dengan Kunjungan Antenatal Care (ANC)
One effort that can be done to reduce the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is Antenatal Care (ANC). ANC is carried out to detect conditions that lead to maternal death, prevent and treat these conditions as early as possible. Therefore ANC has an important role to reduce MMR in Indonesia. Efforts that can be made to increase ANC visits for pregnant women are to intervene in factors that can encourage pregnant women to perform ANC. One of these factors is the knowledge factor regarding the importance of ANC, for example knowledge about the urgency of hepatitis B infection and its prevention that can be done during ANC. Knowing the relationship between knowledge of pregnant women about HB-infection to Antenatal Care (ANC). The method used is the method of literature review. The results of the analysis show that there is a relationship between the knowledge of pregnant women about hepatitis B and ANC visits. There are at least 3 journals which explain that insufficient or insufficient knowledge about hepatitis B will influence pregnant women to take efforts to prevent the transmission of this infection, for example the prevention efforts included in the ANC program. There are several other studies that show the opposite results, namely the high number of ANC visits is not accompanied by high knowledge of hepatitis B infection in pregnant women
