Optimizing Energy Hub System Operation With Electrical And Thermal Demand Response Programs
Electricity consumption is increasing rapidly and many countries are looking for ways to cope with the energy crisis. Morever, the world is facing the problem of global warming caused by emissions. Therefore, it is of great importance to operate power systems efficiently. Energy Hub (EH) represents a versatile energy system capable of providing efficient and optimal solutions for the operation of power systems across multiple carriers. This paper examines the optimization of an EH encompassing renewable energy systems (RES) like wind and photovoltaic, combined heat and power (CHP), transformer, absorption chiller, energy storage system (ESS) and furnace with aiming at minimizing the cost. Demand response is an energy sector strategy that entails modifying electricity consumption patterns in reaction to fluctuations in electricity supply or pricing. The objective of demand response programs (DRP) is to curtail or shift electricity consumption during periods of elevated electricity prices. Therefore, Electrical Demand Response Program (EDRP) for electrical demand and the Thermal Demand Response Program (TDRP) for heating demand are incorporated into the EH. The optimization problem is formulated as Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) and solved with CPLEX solver in GAMS. The outcomes of various case studies are compared to ascertain the model's efficiency
Parietal Cortex Volume and Functions in Major Depression and Bipolar Disorder: A Cloud-Based Magnetic Resonans Imaging Study

XV. Yüzyıl Osmanlı Fıkıh Geleneğine Fâtih Devri Âlimi Molla Hüsrev’in “Ekûlü”sünden Bakmak
The Effects of Calcite-Producing Bacteria on the Engineering Properties of Alkali-Activated Composite Mortars
This study aims to explore the impact of calcium carbonate-producing bacteria on the engineering properties of alkali-activated composite mortars (AACMs). This study conducted an investigation on the mechanical properties, water absorption, rapid chloride ion permeability, ultrasonic pulse velocity, and mercury porosimetry of AACMs with varying cell concentrations of microbial Bacillus subtilis (BS) per milliliter (103, 105, and 107 cells/ml). Regarding the beneficial effects of improvement agents on concrete behavior, the effect of microbial-induced carbonate precipitation (MICP) in AACMs, which is an environmentally friendly solution for engineering properties, was investigated. AACMs with three different cell concentrations of Bacillus subtilis (103, 105, and 107 cells/ml) were investigated. Among these, the sample featuring 105 cells/ml exhibited the most favorable flexural and compressive strength. 7 and 28 days flexural strengths of 105 cells/ml added AACMs samples were 8.16 and 23.80%, while their compressive strengths were 17.70 and 22.65%, respectively. A decrease of approximately 12.27% was observed in water absorption in 28-day AACMs samples, and a decrease of 24.70% was observed in rapid chloride ion permeability. It was seen in the study that BS bacteria species caused a noticeable improvement in the performance of AACMs. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Shiraz University 2024.Kırıkkale Üniversitesi, KU, (2021/064); Kırıkkale Üniversitesi, K

A picture fuzzy CIMAS-ARTASI model for website performance analysis in human resource management
The central emphasis of human resource management resides in the precise delineation of job responsibilities, engaging in systematic inquiry to identify well-suited candidates, and discerningly electing the most qualified individual from the pool whose qualifications align with the job description. The selection of a well-suited candidate is dependent on the creation of an appropriate candidate pool. Digital platforms are preferred over traditional approaches to reach human resources. The main objective of this research is to identify the most suitable digital platform for posting job advertisements based on website performance. The multiple-attribute group decision-making approach is adopted in this research, considering both qualitative and quantitative criteria. A decision support system for website selection is developed, where expert importance levels are calculated based on picture fuzzy sets (PFS). The weight levels of criteria are determined using the introduced PFS-based criteria importance assessment (CIMAS) method. The ranking of websites is calculated using the proposed PFS-based alternative ranking technique based on adaptive standardized intervals (ARTASI) method. These methods are hybridized into the PFS-CIMAS-ARTASI model. Additionally, an algorithm for this hybrid model is developed. A case study is conducted to demonstrate the applicability of the PFS-CIMAS-ARTASI hybrid model for website performance calculations. Robustness tests based on various sensitivity analysis scenarios are performed. The research results indicate that PFS-CIMAS-ARTASI is both applicable and robust. Comprehensive managerial implications are presented and elaborated on

On Level Hypersurfaces of the Vertical Lift of a Submersion
Suppose that (M, G) be a Riemannian manifold and f: M ? ? be a submersion. Then the vertical lift of f, fv: T M ? ? defined by fv = f ? ? is also a submersion. This interesting case, differently from [10], leads us to investigation of the level hypersurfaces of fv in tangent bundle T M. In this paper we obtained some differential geometric relations between level hypersurfaces of f and fv. In addition, we noticed that, unlike [13], a level hypersurface of fv is always lightlike, i.e., it doesn’t depend on any additional condition. © MatDer
Development of the Critically Ill Patient Eye Assessment Scale: A study of validity and reliability
BackgroundEye care and assessment of the eye are critical for intensive care patients to prevent ocular complications like dry eye and corneal abrasion. However, there is no measurement tool developed for intensive care patients that examines the risks of ocular complications.AimsThis study aimed to develop a valid and reliable tool, the Critically Ill Patient Eye Assessment Scale (CIPEAS), for assessing the risk of ocular complications and determining the frequency of eye care.Study designThis study is an instrument development study. This methodological study was conducted with 151 intensive care patients in Turkey between March 2022 and March 2023. Data were collected with the Patient Information Form and the CIPEAS. The data were evaluated using SPSS 23 statistical software. AMOS 21 was used to verify the structure obtained with CFA. Exploration and confirmatory factor analyses were performed to determine the scale's factorial structure.ResultsAs a result of exploratory factor analysis, a six-item scale consisting of a single dimension was obtained, explaining 59.993% of the total variance. The fit indices of the scale were found to be chi 2/SD = 2.653, GFI = 0.954, RMSEA = 0.075, NFI = 0.949 and CFI = 0.967. Cronbach's alpha of the scale was found to be 0.862.ConclusionThe CIPEAS was found to be a valid and reliable assessment tool.Relevance to Clinical PracticeThe Critically Ill Patient Eye Assessment Scale is a valid and reliable tool for Turkish society for assessing the risk of ocular complications. It is recommended for various national and international studies with different patients in intensive care units. We thank all patients for their willingness to participate
