Bibliometric analysis of publications on green management based on the Web Of Science database
Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü, Yönetim ve Organizasyon Ana Bilim DalıYeşil yönetim, çevresel etkileri en aza indirmek ve sürdürülebilirliği sağlamak için hayati öneme sahiptir. Kaynak kullanımı, atık yönetimi ve kirliliği azaltma stratejilerini içeren yeşil yönetim kavramı, kurumsal itibarı ve verimliliği artırır. Yeşil yönetim sayesinde çevreye duyarlı müşteri ve çalışanlar kuruma çekilebilir. Son yıllarda uygulamaya giren sınırda karbon düzenleme mekanizması ve net sıfır hedefi gibi düzenlemelerin de uygulamaya girmesine karşın kavram araştırmacılar tarafından yeterli düzeyde ele alınmamıştır. Bu çalışma ile Web of Science veri tabanında 2000-2023 yılları arasında yayınlanmış olan "yeşil yönetim" başlıklı yayınların bibliyometrik analizi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen 167 yayının türü, yayın yılı, atıf analizleri, yayınların yapıldığı dergiler, yazarların kurumları ve anahtar kelime analizleri VOSviewer yazılımı ile, anahtar kelimelerin trend analizi R temelli Bibliometrix paket ile analiz edilmiştir. Yayınların ağırlıklı olarak sürdürülebilirlik, işletme ve çevre bilimleri konularında, olduğu, makale ve bildiri türünde yayınlandığı gözlemlenmiştir. Yapılan trend analizinde tedarik zinciri yönetimi (supply chain management), performans (performance), sürdürülebilirlik (sustainability), inovasyon (innovation) ve entegrasyon (integration) kavramlarının yeşil yönetimle ilişkili trend kavramlar olduğu görülmektedir.Green management is vital for minimizing environmental impacts and ensuring sustainability. The concept of green management, which includes resource utilization, waste management, and pollution reduction strategies, enhances corporate reputation and efficiency. Green management can attract environmentally conscious customers and employees to the organization. Despite the recent implementation of regulations such as the carbon border adjustment mechanism and net-zero targets, the concept has not been adequately addressed by scholars. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of publications titled "green management" published between 2000 and 2023 in the Web of Science database. The types of 167 publications, publication years, citation analyses, journals where publications were made, authors' institutions, and keyword analyses were analyzed using VOSviewer software, and the trend analysis of keywords was conducted using the R-based Bibliometrix package. It was observed that publications predominantly focused on sustainability, business, and environmental sciences, and were published as articles and conference papers. The trend analysis indicates that concepts such as supply chain management, performance, sustainability, innovation, and integration are trend concepts associated with green management
The effect of leisure involvement on psychological well-being in women: The mediating role of leisure faci·li·tators
Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Hareket ve Antrenman Ana Bilim DalıGünümüzde bireylerin sosyal, kültürel ve eğlence odaklı etkinliklere katılımının, zihinsel sağlık ve yaşam kalitesi üzerindeki olumlu etkileri giderek daha fazla dikkat çekmektedir. Serbest zaman etkinliklerinde bireysel faktörler, kişilerarası ilişkiler ve çevresel destekleyiciler, bireylerin bu etkinliklerden elde ettikleri faydaları artıran önemli unsurlar olarak görülmektedir. Bu kapsamda, serbest zaman aktivitelerine yönelik erişim olanaklarının genişletilmesi, destekleyici ortamların oluşturulması ve bireylerin bu süreçte karşılaştıkları engellerin azaltılması, ruhsal iyilik halini artırmayı hedefleyen yaklaşımlar arasında yer almaktadır. Bu araştırma, serbest zaman ilgileniminin psikolojik iyi oluş üzerindeki etkisini ele alırken, serbest zaman kolaylaştırıcılarının bu ilişki üzerindeki aracı rolünü analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma, yaşları 20 ile 55 arasında değişen ve sekiz haftalık mat-work pilates programına katılan 277 kadından elde edilen verilere dayanmaktadır. Katılımcılar, ölçüt örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilmiş olup, veri toplama sürecinde Serbest Zaman İlgilenimi Ölçeği (Gürbüz, Öncü ve Emir, 2015), Psikolojik İyi Oluş Ölçeği (Telef, 2013) ve Serbest Zaman Kolaylaştırıcıları Ölçeği (Gürbüz, Çimen ve Aydın, 2015) kullanılmıştır. Toplanan veriler, tanımlayıcı istatistikler, korelasyon analizi ve PROCESS makro regresyon analizleriyle değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçlar, serbest zaman ilgileniminin bireylerin psikolojik iyi oluş düzeylerini olumlu etkilediğini ve serbest zaman kolaylaştırıcılarının bu etkide aracı bir role sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Araştırma bulguları, serbest zaman etkinliklerinin bireylerin ruhsal sağlığını ve genel refahını artırmada kritik bir öneme sahip olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Ayrıca, serbest zaman kolaylaştırıcılarının bu süreçteki etkisi, bireylerin zihinsel sağlığını destekleyen politikaların ve uygulamaların geliştirilmesine yönelik önemli bir rehber sunmaktadır.Involvement in social, cultural, and recreational activities has increasingly been recognized for its positive impact on mental health and overall quality of life. Individual characteristics, interpersonal relationships, and environmental facilitators play a crucial role in enhancing the benefits individuals derive from leisure activities. In this context, expanding access to leisure opportunities, creating supportive environments, and reducing barriers to involvement are vital strategies for promoting psychological well-being. This study examines the impact of leisure involvement on psychological well-being and analyzes the mediating role of leisure facilitators in this relationship. The research is based on data collected from 277 women aged between 20 and 55 who participated in an eight-week mat-work Pilates program. Participants were selected through the criterion sampling method, and the data collection tools included the Leisure Involvement Scale (Gürbüz, Öncü ve Emir, 2015), the Psychological Well-Being Scale (Telef, 2013), and the Leisure Facilitators Scale (Gürbüz, Çimen ve Aydın, 2015). The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and PROCESS macro regression analysis. The findings revealed that leisure involvement positively affects individuals' psychological well-being and that leisure facilitators play a mediating role in this relationship. The results emphasize the critical role of leisure activities in enhancing mental health and overall well-being. Moreover, the study highlights the importance of leisure facilitators in optimizing the relationship between leisure activities and mental health outcomes, offering valuable insights for the development of policies and practices aimed at promoting psychological well-being
Investment project proposal evaluation and selection in aerospace and defense industry with Delphi Technique
Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Endüstri Mühendisliği Ana Bilim DalıBu çalışma, işletmelerin yatırım proje önerilerini değerlendirirken kullanabilecekleri bir metodoloji geliştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, proje seçimi ve sıralaması için uygun ve genel geçer bir soru seti oluşturmak hedeflenmiştir. Çalışmada, uzmanların görüşlerini özgürce ifade edebilmeleri için beyin fırtınası ve Delphi teknikleri ardışık olarak kullanılmıştır. Beyin fırtınası tekniği ile öncelikle çeşitli değerlendirme kriterleri belirlenmiş ve bu belirlenen kriterler Delphi tekniği kullanılarak nihai hale getirilmiştir. Delphi tekniği, birden fazla turda uzmanlardan geri bildirim alarak uzlaşıya varmayı amaçlayan bir yöntemdir. Çalışmada, birinci tur Delphi formu hazırlanmış ve uzmanlara gönderilmiştir. Uzmanların geri bildirimleri analiz edilerek ikinci tur formu oluşturulmuş ve yine uzmanlara iletilmiştir. Üçüncü tur sonunda elde edilen sonuçlar analiz edilerek nihai soru seti ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Ayrıca ortaya çıkan bu nihai soru setindeki sorular Delphi turlarında aldıkları puanlar oranınca ağırlıklandırılmıştır. Elde edilen soru seti yatırım proje önerilerinin değerlendirilmesi ve sıralanmasında kullanılabilecek kapsamlı ve sistematik bir araç sunmaktadır. Bu metodoloji, özellikle havacılık ve savunma sanayi gibi stratejik öneme sahip sektörlerdeki yatırım proje önerilerini doğru bir şekilde seçilmesine katkı sağlayacaktır. Geliştirilen yöntem sayesinde, işletmelerin yatırım projeleri daha bilinçli ve etkin bir şekilde değerlendirilebilecek, böylece kıt kaynaklar en verimli şekilde kullanılabilecektir. Sonuç olarak, bu çalışma, işletmelere yatırım kararlarını alırken rehberlik edecek bir araç sunmakta ve stratejik hedeflerine ulaşmalarına yardımcı olmayı hedeflemektedir. Uygulanan metodoloji, işletmelerin rekabet avantajı elde etmelerine ve sürdürülebilir büyüme sağlamalarına katkı sağlayacaktır.This study aims to develop a methodology that businesses can use when evaluating investment Project proposals. The objective is to create a suitable and generally accepted set of questions for the selection and prioritization of projects. In the study, brainstorming and Delphi techniques were sequentially used to allow experts to freely express their opinions. Through the brainstorming technique, various evaluation criteria were identified and finalized using the Delphi technique. The Delphi technique is a method that seeks to reach consensus by obtaining feedback from experts over multiple rounds. In the study, the first round of the Delphi form was prepared and sent to the experts. The feedback from the experts was analyzed, and a second-round form was created and sent to them again. The results obtained at the end of the third round were analyzed to produce the final set of questions. In addition, the questions in this final question set were weighted according to the success scores in the Delphi rounds. The resulting set of questions provides a comprehensive and systematic tool for evaluating and prioritizing investment project proposals. This methodology is particularly beneficial for the correct selection of investment projects in strategically important sectors such as the aerospace and defense industries. With the developed method, businesses can evaluate investment projects more consciously and effectively, thus utilizing scarce resources most efficiently. In conclusion, this study offers a tool to guide businesses in making investment decisions and aims to help them achieve their strategic goals. The applied methodology contributes to businesses gaining a competitive advantage and ensuring sustainable growth
Electric fish optimization for economic load dispatch problem
The Economic Load Dispatch (ELD) problem is an essential aspect of power system planning and operational scheduling. Different techniques and algorithms have been recommended to solve it, aiming to minimize the cost of power generation with satisfying the load requirements. In this paper, a new algorithm called Electric Fish Optimization (EFO) is used to solve the ELD problem by considering the line losses, ramp rate limits, maximum and minimum capacities of the generators and prohibited operating zones (POZ). The algorithm has been utilized in test systems consisting of 6 and 15 units and its outcomes have been compared to those from previous research studies. The proposed algorithm has been shown to achieve minimum cost, indicating its superiority and effectiveness in addressing power system planning challenges. It is evident that the presented algorithm offers a valuable solution for optimizing ELD problems
Effect of MWCNT and GNP nanomaterial concentrations on thermal and electrical behavior of copper-based nanocomposites
In this study, the physical effects of incorporating nano-sized graphene plates (GNP) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) into a pure copper matrix were examined. Powder metallurgy was used as the composite production method. The microstructures of the nanocomposites were examined, and EDAX elemental and XRD phase analyses were performed. The properties of the electrical resistance and conductivity, thermoelectric properties, and thermal expansion characteristics were determined through various tests. Additionally, the thermal expansion behavior of the composite structures was investigated by measuring the sample sizes before and after the sintering heat treatment. It was observed that as the quantity of nano additives increased, there was a rise in reinforcement agglomeration and porosity. As a result of the experimental study, it was concluded that the addition of MWCNT and GNP nanomaterials to pure copper negatively affected the structural homogeneity of the composite, but positively influenced its electrical and thermal properties.Kimath;rimath;kkale University Scientific Research Projects Unit [2022/104]This experimental study was supported by K & imath;r & imath;kkale University Scientific Research Projects Unit with project number 2022/104
Microplastics in different nasal irrigation options
PurposeWe aimed to assess the presence of microplastics in nasal irrigation methods commonly used in the treatment of sinusitis and rhinitis, and to evaluate human exposure.MethodsA total of 150 samples were included in the study, consisting of nasal wash bottles containing nasal irrigation solution, seawater spray, syringes for nasal irrigation with isotonic solution. The amount of microplastics per millilitre in the samples and patient exposure during single use were assessed separately for each method and product. All samples were filtered using a stainless steel vacuum filter on filter paper with a pore size of 1.2 mu m, washed at least three times with distilled water and incubated at 45 degrees C for 24 h to prevent mould growth. Identification and counting of microplastics was performed using a Leica Flexacam C1 camera connected to an M80 stereomicroscope. The presence of microplastics was confirmed by the hot needle method and Nile red staining.ResultsAn average of 6.49 +/- 13.08 microplastics/product was detected in all filtered samples. The lowest microplastic count was 0 microplastics/product in syringes and the highest was 92 microplastics/product in nasal wash bottles. Significant differences in the amount of microplastics individuals were exposed to during a single use were found between nasal wash bottles and seawater brands, while no significant differences were found between syringe brands. When nasal wash kits, seawater sprays and isotonic nasal rinses were evaluated separately, significant differences were found in the number of microplastics, the microplastics/ml ratio and the number of microplastics exposed during a single use. The highest microplastic exposure was found in nasal irrigation bottles.ConclusionThe exposure of individuals to microplastics increases with medical support treatments, regardless of intranasal or intravenous administration. Due to the inflammation, oxidative stress and proliferation caused by microplastics, new regulations and inspections of production conditions should be implemented worldwide to reduce exposure
Investigación de los niveles de inteligencia espiritual de futbolistas activos
The aim of this study is to examine the spiritual intelligence levels of active soccer players according to various variables. A survey model was used in this quantitative study. The study group consisted of 517 football players actively playing football in the 1st Amateur League, Super Amateur League and Regional Amateur League. Snowball sampling, a non-probability sampling method, was used to collect the data. The first part of the measurement tool, which consists of two parts, includes questions prepared for the demographic information of the participants. The second part includes the Spiritual Intelligence Scale adapted into Turkish by Erduran-Tekin & Ek & scedil;i (2019). Independent sample test (T-test) and one-way analysis of variance (One-Way ANOVA) were applied to the data obtained. According to the results of the data analysis, Welch values were taken into consideration depending on the homogeneity assumption of the data and Tukey test, one of the Post Hoc tests, was applied as a second level test. The total score and sub-dimensions of spiritual intelligence differ statistically according to marital status, age, occupation, economic income and practicing sports. The fact that football players tell the problems they experience to the people around them (family members), the maturity that occurs in individuals with the advancement of age, the assurance and personal rights they have in the profession, having an economic income that they can feel comfortable and doing sports increase the level of spiritual intelligence
The Relationship Between Intramural Fat Accumulation and Sarcopenia on MR Enterography Exams in Patients with Crohn's Disease
Purpose Research on magnetic resonance enterography (MRE) and sarcopenia for assessing Crohn's disease (CD) is growing. Our study examined the connections between the presence of sarcopenia, intramural fat accumulation (IFA), and clinical, laboratory, and MRE findings. Materials and Methods This retrospective study was conducted on 112 patients with suspected or diagnosed CD who underwent 3-tesla MRE. The study examined the correlation between sarcopenia-related parameters and MRE findings. Results of MRE exams and clinical and laboratory results were statistically analyzed. The Kruskal-Wallis, Pearson chi-square, and Fisher-Freeman-Halton tests were used for comparison. Results It was determined that patients with active inflammation on a chronic basis had more IFA than the others (p<0.001). There were positive relationships between IFA and intramural edema (p<0.001). There were positive correlations between IFA and high b-values and negative correlations with apparent diffusion coefficient values (p<0.05). Positively significant relationships were found between IFA and wall thickness, affected segment length, disease duration, and sedimentation values (p<0.05). Strong correlations were found between sarcopenia and the CD activity index as well as wall thickness (p<0.001/p=0.003). There was no significant relationship between steroid usage and other variables. Conclusion The presence of IFA is associated with chronic inflammation. There was no clear relationship between steroid use and IFA. Our findings support the idea that sarcopenia is related to the activity of CD. Further comprehensive research is required on these subjects
The Anticancer Potentials of Substituted Indeno[1,2-b]quinoline Amines against HT29 and SW620: Experimental and In silico Approach
Background: This study aimed the determination of the antiproliferative and cytotoxic activities of recently prepared indeno [1,2-b]quinoline amines against colon carcinoma, HT29 and SW620 cell lines by using cell proliferation and cytotoxicity assays. Methods: In vitro inhibition of cell proliferation of indenoquinoline derivatives was determined with an MTT cell proliferation assay. On the other hand, their cell cytotoxicities and apoptotic potential were investigated by LDH cytotoxicity and DNA laddering assays. Moreover, molecular docking studies were performed between the compounds and PDB ID: 1OLG and 4LVT target proteins using virtual scanning techniques. Results: Most of the compounds (1, 3, and 7-9) exhibit much more potent antiproliferative activity than positive controls against HT29 and SW620 cell lines (IC50 values 1.1-4.1 µg/mL) and show slightly toxic properties (percent cytotoxicity 9.8% to 33.5%) to cells compared to positive control. On the other hand, it was determined that effective compounds 1, 2, 3 and 9 stimulated apoptosis on HT29 and SW620. Moreover, the anticancer effect of the recent indeno[1,2-b]quinoline amine derivatives was investigated with the help of molecular docking simulations for their pharmacokinetics. The molecular docking results displayed that mono bromo (1-3) and phenyl (7-9) substituted indeno [1,2-b]quinoline amines interact with mutated p53 and protein Blc-2 residues with hydrogen bonding and polar interactions, respectively. Conclusion: As a result, the preliminary experimental data and in silico studies indicated that the monosubstituted indenoquinoline amine derivatives, especially 1, 3, and 7-9, exhibit effective pharmacological properties. © 2024 Bentham Science Publishers
Modeling of irrigation water quality parameter (sodium adsorption ratio) using hybrid swarm intelligence-based neural networks in a semi-arid environment at SMBA dam, Algeria
Sodium adsorption rate (SAR), which significantly affects soil and plant health, is determined according to the concentration of sodium ions, calcium, and magnesium in irrigation water. Accurate estimation of SAR values is vital for agricultural production and irrigation. In this study, hybrid swarm intelligence-based neural networks are used to model sodium adsorption ratio in irrigation water quality parameters in a semi-arid environment at Sidi M'Hamed Ben Aouda (SMBA) dam, Algeria. For this, the nature-inspired optimization techniques of particle swarm optimization (PSO), genetic algorithm (GA), Jaya algorithm (JA), artificial bee colony (ABC), and firefly algorithm (FFA) and the signal processing technique of variational mode decomposition (VMD) have been combined with artificial neural networks (ANN). Correlation matrices were used to select the data entry structure in the established models. Water quality parameters with a statistically significant and medium to high relationship with SAR values were presented as input to the model. The overall performance was measured using various statistical metrics, scatter diagrams, Taylor diagrams, correlograms, boxplots, and line plots. In addition, the effect of input parameters on model estimation was evaluated according to Sobol sensitivity analysis. As a result, the GA-ANN algorithm demonstrated superior performance (MSE = 0.073, MAE = 0.193, MAPE = 0.048, MBE=-0.16, R2 = 0.934, WI = 0.968, and KGE = 0.866) based on the statistical indicators, indicating better results compared to other models. The second-best model, ABC-ANN (MSE = 0.084, MAE = 0.233, MAPE = 0.066, MBE=-0.135, R2 = 0.897, WI = 0.965, and KGE = 0.920) was also selected. The weakest prediction outputs were obtained from the VMD-ANN model. The accurate and reliable estimation of SAR in irrigation water has the potential to facilitate improvements in agricultural irrigation management and agricultural production efficiency for farmers, agricultural practitioners, and policymakers
