Motorcycle Sketching with Marker and Pastels
application/pdfIn the development of product design, sketches play an important role
as a tool to communicate the designerʼs creative ideas to third parties.
Designers focus on every detail of the sketch to determine the design
and to guide subsequent development.
In motorcycle design, it is necessary to express the shape of the
product, the composition, function, and materials of the parts that
appear on the exterior, which is a major difference from sketches in car
design, which is also in the field of mobility design. Digital sketching
using a computer is now the mainstream. However, since markers and
pastels as drawing materials are used to draw on physical objects such
as paper, they can be stored as works of art and can be added to and
appreciated over time. In this work, the possibility of marker pastels
was reaffirmed by drawing an existing motorcycle using the sketch
method as a completion plan.departmental bulletin pape
Accessible Art Production by Metal Hammering Technique : On Creating Artworks with Kougei
application/pdfThis research develops thinking around the Kougei technique of
metal hammering, and considers the creation of accessible art with
expressions that are closely related to the artist and the technique.
Accessible art aims to bring physical and psychological distance
closer by establishing a relationship between the artwork and the
recipient. Metal hammering, which I use in my work, is one of the
craft techniques used to create “Utsuwa,” and I proceed with my work
and thoughts with the understanding that I am a craftsman. In the
course of this study, I brought to light the contours of Kougei in my
own mind and made a self-interpretation of metal hammering. We
felt that Kougei can expand the space through the interaction between
the creator and the receiver of the work. Crafts are obsessed with
technique, and I felt that technique leads to expression. Kougei is an
act of expanding oneʼs world and reconstructing and reinterpreting
techniques by confining oneself to the technique.departmental bulletin pape

Electroencephalography Features Reflecting Different Levels of Difficulty in English Vocabulary
application/pdfIn this study, we examined how electroencephalography( EEG) differs
depending on the difficulty level of English words. The experiment
consisted of an easy English word condition and a difficult English
word condition, with 300 English words presented visually in each
condition. Participants were asked to respond to whether they knew
the meaning of the English words by pressing a button. The results
showed that the EEG theta power increased and the alpha-beta power
decreased after the English words presentation in both conditions.
In particular, there were more increases in theta powers for the easy
English words compared to the difficult English words, and more
continuous decreases in beta powers for the difficult English words
compared to the easy words. These results suggest that changes in
power in specific frequency bands of the EEG could be used as an
indicator to estimate perceived English word difficulty.departmental bulletin pape

Challenges in the Method of Handing over Modern Cultural Heritage One Consideration of Job Function
application/pdfIn our country, buildings are often demolished before their physical
useful life due to social, economic, and institutional conditions. A
typical challenge in the conservation and utilization of those modern
and contemporary buildings is how to balance the cultural heritage
value of the buildings with their architectural performance. The
ultimate goal of this research is to present a new perspective on
the balance between conservation and utilization, and to present a
methodology for the future restoration and succession of modern and
contemporary buildings, including not only cultural properties and
historical buildings but also general architecture.
This research is still ongoing and has not been fully summarized.
Therefore, this report focuses on the information on the profession
of inheriting modern and contemporary historical buildings from
information disseminated by professional groups, based on the results
of the practical research that the author has conducted up to now. I
hope that somehow the landscape we usually see will be enriched and
society will be more prosperous.departmental bulletin pape
Spatiotemporal Expression Using Seasonlaps Integration of motion control camera system and multicam editing by automatic navigation of UAV
application/pdfUAV drones began with the realization of aerial flight control, but in
recent years UAVs are equipped with automatic flight control, collision
prevention and avoidance functions. RTH( automatic return upon loss
of signal function), various sensors and dedicated cameras have been
developed. As a result, the applicability of UAVs is being considered
not only for hobby flights, but also for various fields such as aerial
photography, logistics, building inspections, disaster relief, precision
agriculture, distress searches, and wide area surveying. This technology
has been explored and implemented one after another.
In this research, which I started in 2017, we took advantage of the new
release of an automatic navigation application that can be installed
on transmitters which makes it possible to control UAV flight plans.
We designed various parameters related to flight routes and aerial
photography. This work explores the possibilities of new visual and
video expressions by programmatically controlling both video and
photography. Utilizing this technique, I have created a live-action
video expression that depicts the changing seasons and spaces from a
dynamic bird's-eye perspective, naming it "Seasonlaps".departmental bulletin pape
Research on the Architecture of the Hatano Kiln of Anchi Ware
application/pdfAn architectural survey was conducted in June, August, and October
2022 on the construction of the Hatano Kiln of Anchi Ware, located
in Yasuda, Agano City, Niigata Prefecture.
The survey included the preparation of floor plans, cross sections, etc.,
photography, and interviews with the potters of the Hatano kiln, Ms.
Reiko( Reizan) Hatano, Ms. Seiko( Seihoh) Hatano, and Ms. Yoshiko
(Kasetsu) Hatano.
This paper reports on the architectural findings of the Anchi ware
Hatano Kiln. Although the scale and layout of the building were
clarified, the exact date of construction could not be determined.departmental bulletin pape
Discrimination Ability Between L and R Speech Sounds among Japanese Graduate Students
departmental bulletin pape
Research on the Relationship between Material Properties and Modeling Quality in Clay 3D Printing
application/pdfIn this study, I investigated a simple evaluation method of material properties for modeling with a clay 3D printer and analyzed the relationship between material properties and modeling quality. In the process of clay 3D printing with different material samples, material hardness, moisture content, appearance evaluation and material shrinkage of the modeled object, and bending strength of the sample after sintering were measured. As a result, it was found that measurement using a durometer may be a valid evaluation method for clay materials. In addition, it was suggested that the strength of the 3D printed object was less deteriorated than that of a clay piece filled to the same size. The strength degradation of the modeled object due to the amount of water contained in the material was small, but the shrinkage rate in the height direction was large. This study provides preliminary findings on clay 3D printing.departmental bulletin pape
