Personality in Alam and Katralai Novel
Alaam and Katralai are two novels written by S. Tamilchelvi. A person's personality is formed by the influence of experiences, environment, education, society, culture, etc. which can be acquired from the birth till death. So personality itself is subject to change. Sundarampal and Manimegala are the heroines of the novels. After heroine’s husband leaves, they becomes the one who carries the burden of the family and brings up the girl children in a good manner. The purpose of this article is to examine the nature and behavioral characteristics of these heroine's in a detailed way
Andal Nachiyar's Marriage Dream and Psychology
Tamil is known as the language of devotion. Spiritual belief flourished due to Tamil and Tamil language flourished due to devotional practices. These two grew interwoven with each other. The Nayanmars and Alvars spread out in praise of the Lord today. Psychological messages are widely found in the songs sung in this way. Andal Nachiyar, one of the twelve Alwars, considered Malavan as his bride. Thirumal dreamed of marrying her. Varanamayiram, the hymn he sang about that dream, gives space for a psychological approach. According to psychologists, indulgence occurs in the fulfillment of repressed and latent subconscious desires by creating substitutes in various ways. The expression of such events is the works of art and literature and the dreams contained therein. What manifests through dreams are the desires of the subconscious mind. And these are illusions that may appear as fictitious figures. It can be revealed by the words slipping out of the mouth. Psychologist Sigmund Freud said that if you look at all these, you can identify the hidden desires. According to the above Freud's opinion, one can know his subconscious desires if one examines the Varanamayiram by Andal Nachiyar. Gothai, who loved Thirumal from a young age, wanted to marry Aranganqi with the conviction that he would not live as a man. This thought in his subconscious manifested itself as a dream. Tolkappiyar and Thiruvalluvar have mentioned the dream of the lovelorn hero and heroine as 'Kanavodu Mayangal' and Tiruvalluvar as the authority of the dream stage narration. Although dreaming text is considered a literary technique and every dream has a specific meaning. A scientific interpretation of dreams is possible and Freud's view of dreams is essential. In this way, Andal Nachiyar's dream of marriage is a strategy from a literary point of view, and from a philosophical point of view, the combination of life (Jivatma) - Lord (Paramatma) and from a psychological point of view, it is a memory of a deep childhood trauma

Sangam Literary Poems on Kurinji land - An Individual Psychological Perspective
Kurinji is one of the five land parts of Tamil people. But Tolkappiyam puts Mullai as the first and Kurinji as the second, while firing Kurinji land sexuality (Tol. Meaning. Akat. 15) is fired as first. The reason behind it is Mayon because Mayon is the god who protects the land (the world) and sex belongs to all lands but is considered to be specially cherished in Kurinji region. However, man's first life begins in the mountains. Therefore, Kurinji is the first and foremost of the five landforms. It is well known that Kurinji is a mountain and hilly area. But, it is said that the name of this place came from the flower. This Kurinji plant can be found at more than six thousand feet above sea level, hence the region is named as Kurinji. Apart from that, the flower of this plant blooms only once in twelve years. Due to the absence of such a surprising flower in nature, this name is appropriate for a mountainous place. Kurinjinilam, Kudirkalam and Yamam (Kangul) are necessary for the meeting of lovers and it is described well in Sangam literary index poems. The number of Sangam Literary Index poems is 488. These are respectively 131 poems in Natrinai, 147 poems in Kurundogai, 100 poems in Ainkurunuru, 80 poems in Akananuru, 29 poems in Kalithogai and 1 poem in Patuppattu. The main purpose of this article is to study these poems from the perspective of human psychology
Life Problems of Tamils of Highlands in the Fictions of Maatthalai Somu
Immigrant Tamil literature has an important place in Highland literature. Highland Tamil literature can be considered a part of immigrant literature. It is a rich literary field with many literary genres like folk literature, poetry, short stories, novels, dramas, and essays. Highland writers have contributed to and enriched the field of literature. Their field of literature is expanding beyond the Sri Lankan highlands to include Tamil Nadu, European countries, and other countries in the world. In this way, Maatthalai Somu is an international Tamil writer who records Sri Lanka (Highland), India (Tamil Nadu), Australia and the lives of Tamils living in them. Highland literature is two hundred years old. European countries that conquered large parts of the world to accumulate capital, exploited the resources of their colonies and the labour of indigenous peoples. In this way, the British, who took control of Sri Lanka in 1815, ended the Kandy monarchy. In 1820, coffee plantations were started. After that, they also cultivated cash crops like sugarcane, tea, and rubber. The South Indian Tamils migrated and settled in the highlands for the manpower to work on these large plantations. These Tamils are called Highland Tamils. Famine and oppression in India in the nineteenth century also caused Tamils to immigrate to Sri Lanka. The hard labour of Tamils was used in creating and cultivating these plantations. The history and life problems of such highland Tamils have been recorded by the highland Tamil writer Maatthalai Somu in his fiction
Importance of Mridangam (Percussion Instrument) in Carnatic Music Concerts
Music is an art that is loved by all the people of the world. Music is seen as the key factor in uniting all living beings in the world with God. There are many different types of music found all over the world. Among them, Carnatic music is found as a branch of Indian music genres. Carnatic music is seen as a music genre that mainly represents South India and is loved by many people worldwide. Our hymn is joyful. Music consists of three sections, namely: songs; instrumental music; and the mode of dancing. "Geetham" means vocal music, "Vaathiyam" means instrumental music, and "Niruthiyam" means dance. Carnatic music concerts are organised as vocal music and instrumental music concerts. The mridangam is the most important rhythmic and pitching instrument in Carnatic music concerts. The mridangam, the primary percussion instrument, is also the main instrument used in Carnatic music concerts to keep all the songs in a rhythmic pattern. In this research paper, the importance of the mridangam in Carnatic music concerts has been examined by presenting various matters. In that way, apart from the introduction and summary of the research paper, the introduction to the Carnatic music concert, the history of the mridangam instrument, and the uniqueness of the mridangam in Carnatic music concerts have been examined in this study

Identity of Tamil Tribal
The archeological documents, the antiquity of the language, and the ethnic culture are the basic factors to know the history of Tamil. Based on these facts, the research book “Tamilar Ataiyalankal” written by researcher K. Nedunchezhiyan was published in 2006. Nine articles are included in this book which has won the best book award of 2006 by the Tamil Nadu Government annually. his article describes the establishment of Tamil values and Tamil culture by combining the triads of Tamils with the triads set by the Tamils, the astronomical thought of the Tamils, the coincidence theory that is opposite to the Vedic tradition, and the accidental events that can occur in human life, i.e. the reaction, and the worship traditions of the tribal Tamils as a set of three: prosperity-heroism-knowledge
Social Discrimination in the Novel ‘Thol’by D. Selvaraj
The novel is a new genre of literature introduced in the twentieth century in Tamil. The first book in Tamil was written by Samuel Vedanayagam Pillai. Then, new writers emerged and contributed their writing in different genres. In this way, progressive author D. Selvaraj focused on the condition of tanners in the Dindigul regions in his novel "Thol" He explains the tannery workers' struggles, how they affected their families, and how they eventually succeeded in gaining their rights. These are described using the regional dialect. There are 117 characters in this novel, which has 26 chapters. Although many scholars claim that all people are equal, this has never been put into practice. It is this system of social discrimination that gives rise to the idea that all human beings are of the same race, intertwined in occupational caste differences, and inspires the attitude of one man to regard another as inferior. Anthropologists have opined that it was in India that caste systems emerged as industrial divisions and changed their shape. While trying to explain a concept, Kavikko Abdul Rahman is one of those who not only says the meaning but also writes using strategies to arouse interest and feelings in the minds of the readers. Abdul Rahman's poetry has received the Sahitya Akademi Award for his poem "The purpose of poetry is to realize that poetry is a unique spiritual pleasure." After 1960, Abdul Rahman was a treasure to the world of poetry. He is famous for his poetic poems. His style is to hook listeners with puns. Vaanapadi worked with movement poets. He is one of those who have established a place for himself in the field of new poetry. With his poetry collection "Paal Veedhi," he has established himself as an experimental writer. He has explained the natural feelings of man through intimate poetry. Humanity fills itself in a circle. The poetry collection of Abdul Rahman's "Anthology of Praise Poems" explains that humanity is crawling here as images without content. This article seeks to examine the poems in these praise poetry collections. Abdul Rahman's poems are expressions of emotions. Based on these, he aims to highlight feelings and imaginations in his poems. Abdul Rahman's poems have little political purpose, but social consciousness is abundant in his poems
