A STUDY ON LOCATION SELECTION FOR PRIVATE DISABLED CARE CENTER USING AHP AND TOPSIS METHODS: THE CASE OF ISTANBUL PROVINCE
This study aims to determine the criteria to be considered during the site selection stage of private disabled care centers for disabled individuals, to list the criteria by weighting, and to choose the right place among alternative places. The research was designed in three stages. In the first stage, the articles published in WOS and SCOPUS were examined and criteria for site selection were determined. In the second stage, the criteria were presented to the expert opinion and weighted with the Analytical Hierarchy Process Method. In the third stage, the three identified alternatives were presented to the expert opinion again and the ranking of the alternatives was made with the TOPSIS method. With the analyzes made, it has been concluded that the most logical places among Kadıköy, Büyükçekmece, and Şişli districts are Büyükçekmece, Kadıköy, and Şişli, respectively. It is thought that the study will increase the quality of care services to be provided to individuals with disabilities and will be a guide for the private enterprise that is considering opening an institution in this field.</jats:p
Search for the anomalous ZZZ and gauge couplings through the process with unpolarized and polarized beams
AbstractThis work offers the constraints on the anomalous neutral triple gauge couplings for the process e + e - → Z Z at the CLIC with s = 3 TeV. The realistic CLIC detector environments and their effects are considered in our analysis. The study is planned for the decays of produced Z bosons to a pair of charged leptons (electrons or muons) and neutrino pairs. The bounds on the anomalous neutral triple gauge couplings defining CP-violating C B ~ W / Λ 4 coupling and three CP-conserving C WW / Λ 4 , C BW / Λ 4 , and C BB / Λ 4 couplings are obtained. Also, the effects and advantages of polarization for incoming electron beams in these calculations are investigated.</jats:p
The Relationship between TPACK and Self-Efficacy of the English Teachers of Gifted Students in Science and Art Centres: A Sample of Türkiye
Modern technology has been incorporated into all the aspects of daily life. The relevant changes are transforming our routines and are being integrated into our lives at varied speeds. This transition is also having an impact on teaching and learning practices. To integrate the aforementioned changes into their everyday practices, substantial effort has been invested by the participants within these contexts, namely, the students and their teachers. The necessity for proficiency in technology tools and applications, coupled with the exploration of whether there exists any correlation between technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) levels and self-efficacy levels, stands as a phenomenon that warrants examination in literature. Although previous studies succeeded to emerge TPACK level of English language teachers from different backgrounds, it was aimed to fill the gap for those (124) of gifted students through the current study. A case study was used; also, TPACK-EFL survey and the English Self-Efficacy Belief Scale were preferred as the instruments. The results indicated that the TPACK level of English language teachers of gifted students was quietly high, and they were aware of instructional strategies, student engagement, and classroom management from the perspective of self-efficacy within four language skills such as; reading, writing, listening and speaking.</jats:p
Types of Immunotherapy, Mechanism of Action and Side Effects
Immunotherapy has emerged as a ground breaking approach in the treatment of various cancers and autoimmune diseases, utilizing the body’s immune system to combat disease. This article reviews the mechanisms of action of different types of immunotherapy, including checkpoint inhibitors, monoclonal antibodies, and adaptive cell transfer. Checkpoint inhibitors such as PD-1/PD-L1 and CTLA-4 blockers enhance immune responses by releasing brakes on T cells, thereby promoting anti-tumor immunity. Monoclonal antibodies target specific antigens on cancer cells or immune cells, facilitating targeted destruction. Adaptive cell transfer involves modifying and re-infusing patient-derived immune cells to enhance their tumor-fighting capabilities. Despite their promise, immunotherapies can elicit immune-related adverse events ranging from mild to severe, affecting various organ systems. Common side effects include fatigue, rash, and gastrointestinal disturbances, while severe reactions may involve pneumonitis, colitis, or endocrinopathies. Understanding these mechanisms and side effects is crucial for optimizing patient care and expanding the therapeutic potential of immunotherapy.</jats:p
Undescribed and Known Phenolic Acid Derivatives with Significant Antioxidant Activity from the Scorzonera Parviflora Jacq. Roots
The antioxidant activity of Scorzonera parviflora Jacq. roots were assessed by measuring their ability to scavenge ABTS and DPPH radicals. Bioactivity-guided fractionation was utilized to identify the compound(s) responsible for this activity. The most active phase, ethyl acetate, was isolated using column chromatography. The resulting fractions were then purified using preparative TLC on reverse phase and semi-preparative HPLC. The structures of the pure compounds were elucidated by spectral analysis (MS and 1H, 13C, 2D-NMR). Three undescribed phenolic acid derivatives, namely parvifloric acid A (1), B (2), and C (3), and one new sesquiterpene lactone, parviflorin (4) together with seven known compounds were isolated and identified as scopolin (5), scopoletin (6), caffeic acid (7), protocatechuic acid (8), 4,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid (9) 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid (10), and 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid methyl ester (11). Finally, the pure compounds obtained were tested to evaluate their antioxidant capacities, using ABTS and DPPH radical scavenging potencies. The highest activity was observed with 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid (10), followed by its methyl ester

Investigation geographic origin of Laurus nobilis L. leaves using FTIR, SEM-EDX, and XRD analysis
Laurus nobilis L. is a polypragmatic plant with high added value. Leaves collected from different regions in the natural state without breeding have different economic values. In this study, the Geographic Origin and Altitude Effects of Laurus nobilis L. leave samples collected from provinces close to each other were investigated. For this purpose, SEM–EDS was used for morphological characterization of leaves, XRD was used for the characterization of inorganic components and FTIR-ATR was used for the identification of functional groups. By SEM analysis in the samples from Zonguldak region, significant differences were observed in the density of trichomes and glandular plumes more dense and also morphological cell sizes were found to be more large then Kastamonu region. In XRD plot, besides the amorphous state, it has seen that the crystal structure is also present in the structure. The effect of different altitudes on the FTIR spectra of the samples collected according to the provinces was also examined, and no significant difference was observed in the peak positions and intensities in the spectra according to the altitudes. Score plot on ranges of 2800–3000 cm-1 and 750–1800 cm−1 allowed origin of the Laurus nobilis L. discrimination. In order to analysis and classify them according to their geographical origin, FTIR data were combined with chemometric methods using PCA and discriminant analysis. PCA analysis explained 88.7% of the variance in the model. When the results of the discriminant analysis were evaluated, 56 of the 72 samples were classified correctly and 77.8% success was achieved. Both analysis showed that there are differences in the response of the same plant species to their presence in different origins. As a result, FTIR analysis allowed possibility the discrimination of Laurus nobilis L. leaves and in this way it is thought to discriminate of examples for other areas
Evaluation of the relationship between the STOP-Bang score with oxygen reserve index and difficult airway: a prospective observational study
Patients diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) syndrome have a tendency towards hypoventilation, hypoxia, and hypercarbia in the perioperative period. This study hypothesized that the Oxygen Reserve Index (ORi) could predict possible hypoxia and determine difficult airways in patients at risk for OSA, as determined by the STOP-Bang questionnaire. This prospective study included adult patients undergoing elective surgery under general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation, divided into two groups: low risk (0-2 points) and high risk (3-8 points) based on their STOP-Bang questionnaire results. The primary outcome measure was the highest ORi value reached during preoxygenation and the time to reach this value. Data were recorded at four time points: before preoxygenation (T1), end of preoxygenation (T2), end of mask ventilation (T3), and end of intubation (T4), as well as partial oxygen pressure values in T1, T2, and T4. The secondary outcome measures were the grading scale for mask ventilation, Cormack-Lehane score, tonsil dimensions, use of a stylet, and application of the burp maneuver during intubation. In the high-risk group, preoperative peripheral oxygen saturation values, the highest ORi value reached in preoxygenation, and ORi values at T3 and T4 times were lower, and the time to reach the highest ORi value was longer (p < 0.05).Using ORi in patients with OSA may be useful in evaluating oxygenation, and since difficult airway is more common, ORi monitoring will better manage possible hypoxic conditions
