Motor Skill Learning in Young Children Born Preterm

    No full text
The primary hypothesis of this proposal is that delays in motor development in preterm children are attributed to impaired motor learning. We also hypothesize that in addition to problems with unimanual coordination, bimanual coordination is affected in preterm children based on two findings. First, CC volume and integrity are reduced in preterm infants and adolescents, and are associated with poor motor development. Second, hand preference (and related lateralization of motor cortical systems) is thought to be important for optimal unimanual and bimanual movement

Patterns of stability and change in early learning trajectories: a Latent Transition Analysis of early literacy, numeracy and cognitive abilities from kindergarten to first grade.

    No full text
In this proposed study, we will use a latent transition analysis (LTA), as a longitudinal extension of latent profile analysis, to study the development of early 'academic' abilities from a person-centered point of view. Children who participate in the 'READI' project receive repeated assessments of their early literacy, early numeracy, and ‘general’ cognitive abilities throughout the earliest years of primary school. In our proposed LTA model(s), children will be classified into latent profiles that reflect specific combinations of abilities across these various task domains. Then, using repeated measurements from four separate time points, we will estimate the proportion of children who transition from one specific profile to another over time, as the children move from kindergarten into formal education. Several measures from the home learning environment will be included as covariates, in order to investigate their relation to initial profile membership (at time point 1) and to the subsequent transitions between profiles over time

Psychometric properties, latent structure and measurement invariance of the posttraumatic stress scale 10 in cancer patients.

    No full text
The Posttraumatic Stress Scale, 10 item version (PTSS-10) (Maercker, 2003) is a widely used screening instrument to assess Symptoms of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. To our knowledge there has never been a study evaluating the psychometric properties of this questionnaire in a population of cancer patients. We will therefore evaluate the latent factor structure, reliability and measurement invariance with regard to age, sex, type of cancer and date of completion, in a population of cancer patients

Facial Width-to-Height Ratio Does Not Predict Self-Reported Behavioral Tendencies

    No full text
A growing number of studies have linked facial width-to-height ratio (fWHR) with various antisocial or violent behavioral tendencies. However, those studies have predominantly been laboratory based and low powered. This work reexamined the links between fWHR and behavioral tendencies in a large sample of 137,163 participants. Behavioral tendencies were measured using 55 well-established psychometric scales, including self-report scales measuring intelligence, domains and facets of the five-factor model of personality, impulsiveness, sense of fairness, sensational interests, self-monitoring, impression management, and satisfaction with life. The findings revealed that fWHR is not substantially linked with any of these self-reported measures of behavioral tendencies, calling into question whether the links between fWHR and behavior generalize beyond the small samples and specific experimental settings that have been used in past fWHR research

This study aims to test and analyze the influence of Green Accounting on profitability in mining and agricultural companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample in this study uses a purposive sampling method, data was obtained from 16 mining and agricultural companies in the 2019-2021 period. This research method uses a panel data approach, namely the Random Effects Model. Data processing in this study uses Eviews 12. Based on the results of data processing, the data showed a significant negative influence between the Green Accounting variable (X) on Profit (Y). The causes of these negative impacts may involve additional investment in environmentally friendly practices, compliance with stringent environmental regulations, and additional operational costs associated with environmental conservation effortsPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh Akuntansi Hijau terhadap profitabilitas pada perusahaan pertambangan dan pertanian yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia.

The increase in internet penetration in Indonesia, which reached 79.5% in 2024, opened opportunities for the use of Instagram as a digital marketing platform. Kriya Sriwijaya, as a center for education and the development of South Sumatra’s crafts, used this platform to expand its market reach and promote local cultural products. This study aimed to analyze the influence of content quality, brand image, and brand trust on the effectiveness of product promotion on the Kriya Sriwijaya Instagram account, both partially and simultaneously. The research employed an explanatory quantitative method. The results showed that content quality and brand image had significant effects on promotional effectiveness, with p-values of 0.00 < 0.05. Meanwhile, brand trust had no significant effect, indicated by a p-value of 0.120 > 0.05. Simultaneously, the three variables explained 74.1% of promotional effectiveness. These findings indicated that content quality and brand image reinforced brand perception and enhanced promotional effectiveness.
