Pemahaman dan Kesiapan Insinyur Teknik Sipil dalam Green Infrastructure
Climate change, driven by rising greenhouse gas emissions, significantly impacts our planet. The construction sector, a major contributor to these emissions, demands a shift towards sustainable building practices. Green infrastructure (GI) offers a promising solution by integrating environmental principles into design and construction. This research investigates the understanding, challenges, and readiness of civil engineering graduates in implementing GI. Utilizing a survey-based approach with master's students at Sangga Buana University, the study analyzed the perceptions of students from different backgrounds: Civil Engineering, Other Engineering, and Non-Engineering. Results indicate that Civil Engineering students demonstrate a higher level of awareness and understanding of GI, influenced by their curriculum's focus on sustainable infrastructure development. However, challenges such as cost constraints and limited managerial support persist. Despite these challenges, civil engineering graduates exhibit a greater readiness to embrace and implement GI concepts.Peningkatan suhu bumi yang semakin mengkhawatirkan sebagian besar dipengaruhi oleh aktivitas pembangunan, khususnya di sektor konstruksi. Pembangunan gedung dan infrastruktur menjadi salah satu kontributor utama emisi gas rumah kaca. Untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, sektor konstruksi perlu mengadopsi pendekatan yang lebih ramah lingkungan melalui konsep green infrastructure (GI) atau infrastruktur hijau. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pemahaman, kendala, dan kesiapan para insinyur, khususnya insinyur teknik sipil, dalam menerapkan GI. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui survey dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi persepsi, hambatan, serta pendorong kesiapan mahasiswa Magister Teknik Sipil Universitas Sangga Buana. Responden dikelompokkan berdasarkan latar belakang pendidikan: Teknik Sipil, Teknik Lain, dan Non-Teknik Sipil. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Teknik Sipil memiliki tingkat pemahaman dan kesadaran yang lebih tinggi terhadap GI dibandingkan kelompok lainnya. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh kurikulum Teknik Sipil yang lebih menekankan aspek keberlanjutan dalam pembangunan infrastruktur. Namun, penerapan GI masih dihadapkan pada kendala seperti tekanan biaya, kurangnya pelatihan, dan minimnya dukungan manajemen. Secara keseluruhan, insinyur berlatar belakang Teknik Sipil menunjukkan kesiapan lebih tinggi untuk mengadopsi konsep infrastruktur hijau. Penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya untuk lebih memperdalam kurikulum tentang infrastruktur hijau untuk menghadapi tantangan pembangunan berkelanjutan, baik itu untuk Teknik Sipil ataupun teknik lainnya
Review on Polyurethane Solubilization in Deep Eutectic Solvents (DES) for Plastic Recycling
Deep eutectic solvents (DES) are a novel category of environmentally friendly solvents created by the interaction of hydrogen bond donors (HBDs) and acceptors (HBAs) in precise molar ratios, exhibiting unique physicochemical characteristics. DES have low volatility, non-flammability, and great stability, making them ecologically benign substitutes for traditional solvents. The essential physical qualities of DES, including density, viscosity, and thermal stability, are pivotal to its operation. These characteristics are affected by parameters like as temperature, component mix, and molar ratios, enabling customisation for particular purposes. DES have shown considerable promise in several domains, including electrochemistry, material synthesis, and environmentally friendly chemical processes, owing to their adaptability and safety. In the realm of polyurethane (PU) solubilisation, deep eutectic solvents (DES) have notable potential. The solubilization process is ascribed to the breakdown of the polymer’s hydrogen bonds and the dissolving of urethane connections by the DES components, helped by their strong hydrogen bond network. By customising DES characteristics, researchers may enhance the breakdown process for PU, offering a sustainable solution to plastic waste issues. The basic features, physical and chemical properties, wide range of uses, and potential for developing PU solubilisation technologies of DES are highlighted in this paper.Pelarut eutektik dalam (Deep Eutectic Solvents/DES) adalah kategori baru pelarut ramah lingkungan yang dibuat melalui interaksi antara donor ikatan hidrogen (hydrogen bond donors/HBDs) dan akseptor ikatan hidrogen (hydrogen bond acceptors/HBAs) dalam rasio molar tertentu, yang menunjukkan karakteristik fisikokimia unik. DES memiliki volatilitas rendah, tidak mudah terbakar, dan stabilitas tinggi, menjadikannya pengganti yang ramah lingkungan untuk pelarut konvensional. Sifat fisik utama DES, termasuk densitas, viskositas, dan stabilitas termal, sangat penting untuk fungsinya. Karakteristik ini dipengaruhi oleh parameter seperti suhu, komposisi komponen, dan rasio molar, sehingga memungkinkan penyesuaian untuk tujuan tertentu. DES telah menunjukkan potensi besar dalam berbagai bidang, termasuk elektrokimia, sintesis material, dan proses kimia ramah lingkungan, berkat kemampuan adaptasi dan keamanannya. Sistem Irigasi Tetes Otomatis untuk Tabulampot di Halaman Rumah Berbasis Mikrokontroler
Family food security can be improved through the cultivation of Fruit Plants in Pots (Tabulampot) in home gardens. However, watering plants often becomes a challenge due to limitations in time, labor, and water usage efficiency. This study aims to develop an automatic drip irrigation system based on a microcontroller that can simplify plant care and optimize water usage. The system uses the NodeMCU8266 microcontroller, a Real-Time Clock (RTC) module, a relay, and a 12V water pump to control automatic watering based on a preset schedule. System testing shows that the relay operates effectively, controlling the pump to turn on for 2 minutes and off for 2 minutes according to the schedule programmed via the RTC. All components function stably without issues, and the system is effective in supporting water usage efficiency, especially in areas with limited water resources. The results of this study demonstrate that this automatic irrigation system provides a practical solution for time-based irrigation, which can be applied to Tabulampot cultivation. The system also opens opportunities for further development to improve its effectiveness and flexibility in home-based agricultural applications.Ketahanan pangan keluarga dapat ditingkatkan melalui budidaya Tanaman Buah dalam Pot (Tabulampot) di halaman rumah. Namun, penyiraman tanaman sering menjadi tantangan karena keterbatasan waktu, tenaga, dan efisiensi penggunaan air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem irigasi tetes otomatis berbasis mikrokontroler yang dapat mempermudah perawatan tanaman serta mengoptimalkan penggunaan air. Sistem ini menggunakan mikrokontroler NodeMCU8266, module RTC (Real-Time Clock), relay, dan pompa air 12V untuk mengatur penyiraman otomatis berdasarkan jadwal yang ditentukan. Pengujian sistem menunjukkan bahwa relay bekerja dengan baik, mengontrol pompa untuk menyala selama 2 menit dan mati selama 2 menit sesuai dengan jadwal yang diprogram melalui RTC. Semua komponen berfungsi stabil tanpa kendala, dan sistem ini efektif dalam mendukung efisiensi penggunaan air, terutama di daerah dengan keterbatasan sumber daya air.Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa sistem irigasi otomatis ini dapat menyediakan solusi praktis untuk irigasi berbasis waktu, yang dapat diterapkan pada budidaya Tabulampot. Sistem ini juga membuka peluang untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut guna meningkatkan efektivitas dan fleksibilitasnya dalam aplikasi pertanian rumah tangga
ANALISIS STRATEGI PEMUNGUTAN PIUTANG PAJAK BUMI DAN BANGUNAN TAK TERTAGIH KOTA CIMAHI
Every year there are additional Land and Building Tax (PBB) receivables which become the work burden of the Cimahi City Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda) and are recorded in the Cimahi City Regional Government's Financial Report. To reduce PBB receivables, strategies are needed and how to implement these strategies is necessary. analyzed further in order to always get new strategies that are better, more effective, efficient and economical in collecting PBB and efforts to reduce tax receivables. The research design that will be used is a descriptive analysis research method with a qualitative approach in order to broadly describe the UN collection strategy for reducing uncollectible tax receivables at the Cimahi City Bappenda. This research was conducted at the Cimahi City Bappenda which is located at the Cimahi City Public Services Mall, Jl. Aruman Kel. Pasirkaliki District. North Cimahi Cimahi City, West Java Province. Analysis was carried out starting from before being in the field, while in the field and after being in the field, using library research, field research and interviews.The results of this research produced a study and document analysis of the collection strategy for uncollectible land and building tax receivables in Cimahi City.Setiap tahun ada penambahan piutang Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan (PBB) yang menjadi beban pekerjaan Badan Pengelola Pendapatan Daerah (Bappenda) Kota Cimahi dan menjadi catatan pada LaporanKeuangan Pemerintah Daerah Kota Cimahi, untuk mengurangi piutang PBB tersebut diperlukan strategi-strategi dan bagaimana pelaksanaan strategi tersebut perlu dianalisis lebih lanjut agar selalu dapat strategi baru yang lebih baik, efektif, efisien dan ekonomis dalam pemungutan PBB serta upaya mengurangi piutang pajaknya. Desain penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif agar dapat menggambarkan secara luas tentang strategi pemungutan pbb untuk mengurangi piutang pajak tak tertagih di Bappenda Kota Cimahi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Bappenda Kota Cimahi yang beralamat di Mall Pelayanan Publik Kota Cimahi, Jl. Aruman Kel. Pasirkaliki Kec. Cimahi Utara Kota Cimahi Provinsi Jawa Barat. Analisis dilakukan mulai dari sebelum di lapangan, pada saat di lapangan dan setelah di lapangan, menggunakan Library research, Field research dan Wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan Kajian dan dokumen analisis strategi pemungutan piutang pajak bumi dan bangunan tak tertagih di Kota Cimahi
ANALISIS NILAI EKONOMI LAHAN PADA POLA TANAM TUMPANGSARI JAGUNG UBIKAYU
Lahan merupakan faktor produksi terpenting dalam menunjang keberhasilan usahatani. Luas lahan pertanian terus berkurang menyebabkan produktivitas tanaman pangan menurun sehingga pentingnya berusahatani dengan pola tanam tumpangsari. Pola tanam tumpangsari dapat meningkatkan pendapatan petani dibanding pola tanam monokultur. Pola tumpangsari menyebabkan pemanfaatan sumber daya lebih efisien terutama cahaya, air, dan unsur hara. Tujuan penelitian: menganalisis nilai ekonomi lahan pada pola tanam tumpangsari jagung ubikayu dan faktorr-faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai ekonomi lahan pada lahan pertanian pola tanam tumpangsari.Metode penelitian berupa metode deskriptif dan metode inferensia. Lokasi dipilih secara purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan sentra produksi jagung-ubikayu dengan pola tanam tumpangsari. Jenis data berupa primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengambilan sampel: Populasi ada 2 yaitu (1) petani pola tumpangsari jagung-ubikayu sebanyak 447 petani dan didapatkan 66 sampel yang diambil dengan simple random sampling, (2) petani jagung sebanyak 45 petani dan diambil semua untuk dijadikan sampel sebanyak 45 sampel dengan metode sensus. Analisis data (1) nilai ekonomi lahan: analisis Land Rent, dan (2) faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai ekonomi lahan pada lahan pertanian pola tanam tumpangsari. Hasil penelitian yaitu (1) Nilai ekonomi lahan dilihat dari indek perbandingan land rent untuk tanaman jagung dengan tanaman tumpang sari ubikayu masih lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan tanaman jagung yang monokultur, (2) Faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai ekonomi lahan pada lahan pertanian pola tanam tumpangsari yaitu penerimaan dan jarak ke lokasi pasar
PERAN FILSAFAT ILMU DALAM MENYELESAIKAN KONFLIK KEPENTINGAN DI ERA PEMBANGUNAN BERKELANJUTAN

Metode AHP Sebagai Pengukur Kinerja Rantai Pasok Beras di Kabupaten Serang
This study will discuss the application of the SCOR model as a supply chain performance measurement model and the AHP method used for decision making and priority placement in a structured process. In 2023, DISKOUMPRINDAG and DKPP experienced problems due to the increase in the price of basic necessities, especially rice in Serang Regency, based on the recap of the development of the price of basic necessities in Serang Regency in 2023, there was an increase in the price of Kw 1 rice by 22% and Kw 2 by 19%. This situation requires both agencies to play an active role and collaborate in dealing with the price increase. If not handled properly, this condition has the potential to trigger an economic crisis at the regional level. The research method uses the SCOR model and the Analytical Hierarchy Process method. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the performance of the rice supply chain in Serang Regency is in an Average condition with a performance value of 52.23. The source criteria have the most weight of 30% followed by make and plan which are both at 20% after which is deliver with a weight of 13% and return occupies the last place with a weight of 12%. It is hoped that research suggestions can continue to the development stage so that they can ensure increased performance in the supply chain and no decline in performance.Penelitian ini akan membahas penerapan model SCOR sebagai model pengukuran kinerja rantai pasok dan metode AHP yang digunakan untuk pengambilan Keputusan dan penempatan prioritas pada suatu proses yang terstuktur. Pada tahun 2023 DISKOUMPRINDAG dan DKPP mengalami permasalahan disebabkan terjadinya kenaikan harga kebutuhan pokok terutama beras di Kabupaten Serang, berdasarkan rekap perkembangan harga kebutuhan pokok Kabupaten Serang ditahun 2023, terjadi kenaikan harga beras Kw 1 sebesar 22% dan Kw 2 sebesar 19%. Situasi ini menuntut kedua instansi untuk berperan aktif dan menjalin kerja sama dalam menangani kenaikan harga tersebut. Jika tidak ditangani secara tepat, kondisi ini berpotensi memicu krisis ekonomi di tingkat daerah. Metode penelitian menggunakan model scor dan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang didapat, diketahui kinerja rantai pasok beras di Kabupaten Serang dalam kondisi Average dengan nilai kinerja sebesar 52,23. kriteria source memiliki bobot yang paling banyak sebesar 30% diikuti oleh make dan plan yang sama-sama sebesar 20% setelahanya adalah deliver dengan bobot sebesar 13% dan return menduduki tempat terakhir dengan bobot sebesar 12%. Saran penelitian diharapkan dapat melanjutkan hingga tahap pengembangan sehingga dapat memastikan kenaikan kinerja terhadap rantai pasok dan tidak terjadi penurunan performa
YVORI VIRTUAL REALITY STUDY: EXPLORING THE ASSOCIATION BETWEEN SOCIAL PERFORMANCE, ADVERSITY AND PSYCHOTIC-LIKE EXPERIENCES
Our lack of understanding of the contribution of different factors to the development of psychosis calls for improvements in the assessment of underlying early-onset factors. Studies in young people accessing early psychosis services have shown rates over 65% of these individuals reporting some form of abuse or neglect (Bendall, Álvarez-Jiménez, Hulbert, McGorry, & Jackson, 2012). Current evidence for the development of psychosis suggests that exposure to trauma in childhood makes individuals more sensitive to subsequent adversity through enhanced stress sensitivity (Morgan et al., 2014). We aim to contribute to uncovering the exact pathway to the development of psychosis. While research indicates that impairments in social functioning may manifest long before the onset of psychotic symptoms and accelerate the onset of psychotic symptoms in individuals with an increased risk of psychosis (Boyda & McFeeters, 2014; Misiak et al, 2017), it remains unclear how and when social dysfunction appears in the context of PLEs. We aim to gain a better understanding of this by assessing social functioning in terms of its components (such as fear of negative evaluation, anxiety, social avoidance) in a young, non-clinical population with and without PLE while controlling for level of distress attributed to the experience of PLEs. No study to date has explored the differences in social performance between those young individuals with experiences of social adversity who are experiencing distressing vs. non-distressing PLEs. Doing so may provide unprecedented evidence about the early impact of these experiences and help to improve social interventions for those at more advanced stages of psychosis.
While classic measures of social functioning show good reliability and validity (Stain & Bjornstad, 2019), there remains a lack of ecological validity (i.e., how test performance predicts behaviours in real-world settings). This type of social performance assessment fails to fully reflect real-world functioning. The use of digital technologies can enhance the validity of psychological assessment and provide novel therapeutic contexts within which core psychological processes can be targeted in real-time. VR offers observation of real-time interactions and behaviours, and also manipulation of the environment, enabling testing out of new responses in a controlled and safe setting (Rus-Calafell et al., 2017)
Orthographic learning: Investigating the role of semantic and graphotactic cues and explicit awareness of patterns
Previous empirical studies have provided evidence that phonology (i.e., the sounds of words) is not the only cue that facilitates spelling development. Other cues such as morphology (i.e., the formation of words from meaningful parts) and graphotactics (i.e., spelling rules which dictate constraints on the order and arrangement of letters in words) can also be important information to children and adults to learn the written form of a language. Furthermore, existing evidence has also demonstrated that participants’ explicit awareness of patterns in inputs significantly impacts their learning. Given the limited number of experimental studies, our study investigates the importance learners place on different factors such as graphotactic and semantic cues when learning writing systems and how explicit awareness of certain patterns impacts their performance. We also ask how individual differences may account for their performance. Participants will engage in an online alien language learning paradigm followed by a series of tasks testing their knowledge of novel words learned in the paradigm and English real words. Learning will be assessed through comparing participants’ performance to chance level in the alternative-forced choice task
Preventable deaths involving sepsis: a systematic case series of coroners’ reports in England and Wales, 2013-2022
Background
Sepsis is defined by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as the “life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection”, in line with international consensus definitions [1,2]. Data from the Global Burden of Disease survey estimated that in 2017 there were 48.9 million cases and 11 million sepsis-related deaths worldwide [3]. Estimates of the numbers of deaths related to sepsis are difficult as they rely on the accurate recognition and coding of sepsis among patients. The UK Sepsis Trust estimates that in 2017-2018 there were around 200,000 cases of sepsis in the UK, with around 52,000 associated deaths [4].
Despite recognition of the importance of preventing sepsis, little is known about the number of preventable deaths related to sepsis, and what factors / processes fail in practice leading to such deaths. One analysis of 568 patients admitted to hospital with sepsis in the USA found that 3.7% of sepsis-associated deaths were definitely or moderately preventable when reviewed by clinicians [5]. The burden of preventable morbidity and mortality from sepsis worldwide is thought to be significant [4].
Since 1984, coroners have had a duty to report and communicate a death where the coroner believes that action should be taken to prevent future deaths10. These reports, named Prevent Future Deaths, are mandated under Paragraph 7 of Schedule 5, Coroners and Justice Act 2009, and regulations 28 and 29 of The Coroners (Investigations) Regulations 201311,12. A detailed analysis of PFDs implicating sepsis could highlight factors surrounding sepsis leading specifically to death, the most severe outcome following this event. This is important to inform clinical staff managing patients at risk of, or with suspected or confirmed sepsis. public health policy, and sepsis-related research.
Aims and Objectives
The aim of our study is to systematically characterise sepsis-related PFDs, and analyse the concerns raised by coroners in these reports. Our objectives are to discover:
1. The number of PFDs involving sepsis
2. The years of life lost from such deaths
3. Geographical variations in reporting such deaths
4. The number and types of concerns voiced by coroners
5. How these concerns related temporally to sepsis (increasing the risk of sepsis, in the immediate recognition or management of sepsis, or medium and long-term management of sepsis)
6. The numbers and types of individuals or organisations to whom the PFDs were addressed
7. The number of responses received within the 56-day requirement
8. The types of actions taken by organisations in response to coroner concern
