Integration of Medical Roles and Islamic Spirituality in the Health of Students at Islamic Boarding Schools
The mental health of students in Islamic boarding schools is often neglected due to stigma, low literacy, and misunderstandings linking it to supernatural factors such as possession. This condition makes students reluctant to seek medical help and prefer a purely spiritual approach. This community service program aims to improve mental health literacy by integrating medical approaches and Islamic spirituality, which students and caregivers find more easily acceptable. The activity was carried out at Hidayatullah Al-Muhajirin Bangkalan Islamic Boarding Schools involved 30 students in counseling sessions, 48 students, and 15 caregivers in free health check-ups. The activity methods included an initial survey, interactive counseling, discussions, pre- and post-test questionnaires, and basic health services. Results showed an average increase in students' knowledge scores of 13 points after the counseling, indicating the program's effectiveness in improving mental health awareness. This increased insight also encouraged students to discuss psychological issues without stigma. The material was delivered by integrating Islamic values such as dhikr (remembrance of God), prayer, and meditation (contemplation). The free health check-ups also emphasized the importance of physical and mental balance from an Islamic perspective. This activity has implications for ongoing educational forums, caregiver training in early detection of mental disorders, and the development of medical-spiritual-based counseling services. This program has proven effective as an intervention model that can be replicated in other Islamic boarding schools, while also strengthening community involvement in creating a more caring and supportive environment for students' mental health
Peningkatan Kualitas Pembelajaran Mengaji dan Optimalisasi Peran Guru Serta Orang Tua Melalui Pendekatan Digital Dan Non-digital [Enhancing the Quality of Qur’an Learning and Optimizing the Roles of Teachers and Parents Through Digital and Non-digital Approaches]
Abstract. Low motivation and quality in Qur’an learning at elementary schools in Yosowilangun District, Lumajang, present a major challenge for strengthening Islamic religious education. An initial survey showed that only 42% of students have a high interest in Qur’an learning, while teacher and parent involvement in the learning process remains minimal and the utilization of technology is not yet optimal. This program aims to increase students’ motivation and learning outcomes in Qur’an studies, strengthen the competencies of teachers and parents in guidance, and optimize the use of both digital and non-digital technologies within the educational ecosystem. Implementation methods include intensive training for teachers and parents, the application of gamification, Islamic storytelling, the use of AI-based digital applications, and the development of an online student progress monitoring system. Program results show a significant increase in student learning motivation, teachers’ pedagogical competence, and parental involvement in supporting Qur’an learning at home. Additionally, the use of educational technology successfully expands the variety of learning methods and facilitates student progress monitoring. The program’s impact is evident not only in academic aspects but also in strengthening Qur’anic literacy culture and creating synergy among schools, families, and technology. This multidimensional contribution is expected to serve as an innovative model for the development of digital and collaborative religious learning in elementary schools, while also reinforcing the moral and religious foundations of the young generation in Yosowilangun sustainably. Abstrak. Rendahnya motivasi dan kualitas pembelajaran mengaji di sekolah dasar wilayah Kecamatan Yosowilangun Lumajang menjadi tantangan utama bagi penguatan pendidikan agama Islam. Survei awal menunjukkan hanya 42% siswa berminat tinggi dalam belajar mengaji, sementara keterlibatan guru dan orang tua dalam proses pembelajaran masih minim, serta pemanfaatan teknologi yang belum optimal. Program ini bertujuan meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar mengaji siswa, memperkuat kompetensi guru serta orang tua dalam pendampingan, dan mengoptimalkan penggunaan teknologi digital maupun non-digital dalam ekosistem pendidikan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pelatihan intensif bagi guru dan orang tua, penerapan gamifikasi, storytelling Islami, penggunaan aplikasi digital berbasis AI, serta pengembangan sistem pemantauan perkembangan siswa secara daring. Hasil pelaksanaan program menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada motivasi belajar siswa, kompetensi pedagogis guru, serta keterlibatan orang tua dalam mendampingi anak mengaji di rumah. Selain itu, penggunaan teknologi pendidikan berhasil memperluas variasi metode pembelajaran dan memudahkan monitoring perkembangan siswa. Dampak program tidak hanya terlihat pada aspek akademik, tetapi juga pada penguatan budaya literasi Al-Qur’an dan terciptanya sinergi antara sekolah, keluarga, dan teknologi. Kontribusi multidimensional ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model inovatif bagi pengembangan pembelajaran agama berbasis digital dan kolaboratif di lingkungan sekolah dasar, sekaligus memperkuat fondasi moral dan religius generasi muda di Yosowilangun secara berkelanjutan

Abstract. Hypertension is a very important condition in all areas that can cause heart disease and stroke. Hypertension is a very important problem because we often do not realize it. Bay leaves contain tannins to relax the muscles in the arteries that can contain flavonoids have effects namely vasodilation, antiplatelet and anticoagulant due to oxidation that can reduce systole and diastole and improve body organs. The method used in this community service is a case study method by conducting a survey first to the Sungai Baru community environment to determine disease patterns in Sungai Baru using a questionnaire. The target for this community service activity is mothers aged 25-65 years. Abstrak. Hipertensi merupakan kondisi yang sangat penting di semua wilayah karena dapat menyebabkan penyakit jantung dan stroke. Hipertensi menjadi masalah yang sangat penting karena seringkali kita tidak menyadarinya. Daun salam mengandung tanin yang dapat merelaksasi otot pada arteri dan juga mengandung flavonoid yang memiliki efek vasodilatasi, antiplatelet, dan antikoagulan akibat oksidasi yang dapat menurunkan tekanan sistolik dan diastolik serta memperbaiki organ tubuh. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah metode studi kasus dengan melakukan survei terlebih dahulu ke lingkungan masyarakat Sungai Baru untuk mengetahui pola penyakit di Sungai Baru menggunakan kuesioner. Pemberdayaan KWT Laras Pandowo Melalui Pelatihan Pengolahan Pangan Lokal Di Desa Pandowoharjo Sleman [Empowerment of Laras Pandowo Women's Farmer Group through Local Food Processing Training in Pandowoharjo Village, Sleman]
Abstract. The 2025 Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPKO) of the Ahmad Dahlan University Student Association (HMTP) is a concrete manifestation of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the area of community service. The program partner is the Laras Pandowo Women's Farmers Group (KWT) in Pandowoharjo Village, Sleman, which boasts abundant local food potential but has not been optimally utilized. The goal of this program is to improve the entrepreneurial skills and insight of KWT members through training in processing local food ingredients into catfish basreng (basreng), catfish floss (flour), and chili flakes as a form of local food diversification. The implementation method includes preparation, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), training, mentoring, evaluation, and follow-up. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge and skills of 56.9%, namely calculated from 58 points before the training to 91 points after the training. In addition, there was an average increase in side income of 55.7%, from Rp 227,272 before training to Rp 353,846 after training, which indicates the real application of training results in household economic activities. Participants were able to develop innovative flavors, packaging designs, and simple marketing strategies through social media. This program has successfully fostered the entrepreneurial spirit of village women and is the first step towards economic independence based on local potential. Abstrak. Kegiatan Program Penguatan Kapasitas Organisasi Kemahasiswaan (PPKO) HMTP Universitas Ahmad Dahlan tahun 2025 merupakan wujud nyata pelaksanaan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, khususnya dalam bidang pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Mitra kegiatan adalah Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Laras Pandowo di Desa Pandowoharjo, Sleman, yang memiliki potensi bahan pangan lokal melimpah namun belum termanfaatkan secara optimal. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan dan wawasan kewirausahaan anggota KWT melalui pelatihan pengolahan bahan pangan lokal menjadi basreng lele, abon lele, dan chili flakes sebagai bentuk diversifikasi pangan lokal. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahapan persiapan, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), pelatihan, pendampingan, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta sebesar 56,9%, yaitu dihitung dari 58 poin sebelum pelatihan menjadi 91 poin setelah pelatihan. Selain itu, terdapat peningkatan pendapatan sampingan rata-rata sebesar 55,7%, dari Rp 227.272 sebelum pelatihan menjadi Rp 353.846 setelah pelatihan, yang menandakan penerapan nyata hasil pelatihan dalam aktivitas ekonomi rumah tangga. Peserta mampu mengembangkan inovasi rasa, desain kemasan, dan strategi pemasaran sederhana melalui media sosial. Program ini berhasil menumbuhkan semangat kewirausahaan perempuan desa dan menjadi langkah awal menuju kemandirian ekonomi berbasis potensi lokal
Pemberdayaan Kader Posyandu Sebagai Upaya Pengendalian Stunting Berbasis Komunikasi Interpersonal dan Penguatan Ekonomi di Desa Sungai Tandipah [Empowering Posyandu Cadres as an Effort to Control Stunting Based on Interpersonal Communication and Economic Strengthening in Sungai Tandipah Village]
Abstract. Stunting is a serious problem in Sungai Tandipah Village, Sungai Tabuk Subdistrict, Banjar Regency, with prevalence increasing from 11.9% (2022) to 18.42% (2024). Contributing factors include poor sanitation due to untreated river water consumption, low nutritional literacy, and vulnerable agricultural-based livelihoods affected by flooding. The partner in this program is Posyandu Mawar, with 10 active cadres whose roles in nutrition education, parenting, and stunting prevention remain suboptimal. The main issues are divided into social aspects—low communication skills among cadres, limited awareness of child nutrition among mothers, poor sanitation, and lack of educational media—and management aspects, such as weak financial management and underutilization of local food potential. Solutions offered include training in interpersonal communication, balanced nutrition, simple water filter development, educational toolkit creation, financial management training, and establishment of a mini nutrition stall based on local food. The program was implemented through five stages: socialization, training, technology application, mentoring, and sustainability planning. The results show increased cadre capacity, with 90% improving interpersonal communication skills, 100% understanding balanced nutrition principles, and 90% improving financial management knowledge. Tangible outputs include educational media, two prototypes of simple water filters, and a mini nutrition stall producing local food products, supporting sustainable stunting prevention in the community. Abstrak. Stunting merupakan permasalahan serius di Desa Sungai Tandipah, Kecamatan Sungai Tabuk, Kabupaten Banjar, dengan prevalensi meningkat dari 11,9% (2022) menjadi 18,42% (2024). Faktor penyebab meliputi sanitasi buruk akibat penggunaan air sungai tanpa pengolahan, rendahnya literasi gizi, serta kondisi ekonomi berbasis pertanian yang rentan banjir. Mitra kegiatan adalah Posyandu Mawar dengan 10 kader aktif yang belum optimal dalam edukasi gizi, pola asuh, dan pencegahan stunting. Permasalahan utama mencakup aspek sosial, seperti keterampilan komunikasi kader yang rendah, minimnya kesadaran ibu balita, sanitasi yang buruk, dan ketiadaan media edukasi, serta aspek manajemen berupa lemahnya pengelolaan keuangan dan belum dimanfaatkannya pangan lokal. Solusi ditawarkan melalui pelatihan komunikasi interpersonal, gizi seimbang, pembuatan filter air sederhana, pengembangan toolkit edukasi, pelatihan manajemen keuangan, dan pembentukan warung gizi mini berbasis pangan lokal. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui lima tahapan: sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, dan perencanaan keberlanjutan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kapasitas kader, dengan 90% lebih terampil dalam komunikasi interpersonal, 100% memahami gizi seimbang, serta 90% lebih baik dalam manajemen keuangan. Produk nyata berupa media edukasi, dua prototipe filter air, dan warung gizi mini telah dihasilkan, mendukung keberlanjutan pencegahan stunting di masyarakat
The Modern Regularity of Institutionalized Racism Towards Black Americans
African Americans have faced persistent institutionalized barriers and systemic racism both historically and in the present day. One of the most glaring manifestations of this is the racial disproportionality observed in incarceration rates. This paper delves into specific domains, such as the justice and social welfare systems, where institutional discrimination is evident, contributing to the disenfranchisement of African Americans. It further addresses the gap in literature concerning the impacts of such racial disproportionality in incarceration, especially the systemic challenges faced post-incarceration. The objective of this research is to delineate the facets of institutionalized racism towards African Americans in the context of incarceration and to propose evidence-based clinical interventions for professionals working with this demographic
Edukasi mengenalkan pemantauan perkembangan anak dengan Kuesioner Pra Skrining Perkembangan (KPSP) pada kader posyandu
The existence of a child development disorder is an important reason for monitoring child development as early as possible. In the preliminary survey, it was found that children with speech/language delays reached 0.02%. Early detection of developmental disorders in children has an important role in the welfare of children and families. And the fact states that early detection of developmental disorders must be available in primary child health services. Monitoring of children's development can be done using the Developmental Pre-screening Questionnaire. Kader posyandu as part of primary service personnel need to be given training in monitoring child development with this questionnaire so that it can be applied to Posyandu activities for toddlers. The problem in this activity is that the kader posyandu in Desa Talang Jawa wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tanjung Agung, Kecamatan Baturaja Barat, have never received information and have not had the ability to use this Pre-screening Development Questionnaire. This educational activity aims to increase knowledge and skills about monitoring children's development using the Developmental Pre-screening Questionnaire. From this activity, it was found that the level of knowledge of participants before education was 7.4% enough, 92.6% less, and after being given education was Good 63 %, 25.9% enough and 11.1% less. The ability of participants after being given education increased by 100%. It was concluded that after the education introduced the monitoring of children's development with the Developmental Pre-screening Questionnaire, there was an increase in the knowledge and ability of kader posyand
Pelatihan Pembuatan Kit Deteksi Merkuri Sederhana Untuk Peningkatan Keterampilan Laboratorium bagi Pelajar SMK Muhammadiyah I Pandaan
Merkuri merupakan logam berat yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan manusia. Diketahui bahwa merkuri sebagian besar tertelan melalui konsumsi ikan-ikan laut, air yang tercemar, bahkan penggunaan kosmetik melalui kulit. Oleh karena itu pengabdian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan tentang bahaya logam merkuri serta keterampilan mendeteksi merkuri menggunakan kit sederhana. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan berupa seminar untuk memberikan wawasan tentang merkuri dan pelatihan pembuatan kit sederhana untuk mendeteksi merkuri. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman peserta terhadap materi kegiatan pengabdian dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 47 peserta terjadi peningkatan pemahaman terhadap pengetahuan tentang merkuri sebanyak 32%, terhadap pengetahuan tentang bahaya merkuri sebesar 32%, terhadap pemahaman tentang kit deteksi merkuri meningkat sebesar 38%, pemahaman keterampilan membuat kit deteksi merkuri meningkat sebanyak 38%, dan pemahaman keterampilan cara deteksi merkuri menggunakan kit sederhana meningkat sebanyak 57%.Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini memberikan manfaat bagi peserta pengabdian yaitu siswa/i SMK Muhammadiyah I Pandaan
Analisis Pengelolaan Dana Desa Adat pada Masyarakat Adat Suku Baduy dan Ciptagelar
Desa yang pada mulanya merupakan organisasi komunitas lokal yang memiliki batas-batas wilayah, dihuni oleh sejumlah penduduk, dan memiliki adat-istiadat untuk mengelola dirinya sendiri (self-governing community). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengelolaan dana desa pada masyarakat adat Suku Baduy dan Ciptagelar. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode hukum normatif dan empiris, dengan pendekatan peraturan perundang-undangan, studi kasus, dan historis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kepala Desa Kanekes, yang juga menjabat sebagai pemimpin masyarakat adat Baduy, bertanggung jawab untuk mengawasi pengelolaan keuangan dana desa untuk masyarakat adat Baduy. Hal ini dikarenakan pengelolaan dana desa Kanekes, yang bertindak sebagai perwakilan masyarakat adat Baduy, mengambil keputusan terkait penerimaan dan penolakan dana desa. Para pemuka adat suku Baduy mengambil keputusan tersebut dengan mempertimbangkan kemungkinan bahwa dana desa yang diberikan oleh pemerintah dapat membahayakan tatanan budaya dan cara hidup masyarakat adat Baduy yang sudah berlangsung lama. Berbeda dengan Masyarakat Adat Kasepuhan Ciptagelar yang tidak berhak menerima dana desa dari APBN karena tidak berbadan hukum
Penerapan PP Nomor 36/2021 terhadap gaji guru honorer (studi kasus di SDN Klanderan, Plosoklaten, Kediri)
Penelitian ini terkhusus membahas tentang gaji honorer di SDN Klanderan Kecamatan Plosoklaten Kabupaten Kediri yang mengandung kesenjangan sosial dengan guru yang berstatus sebagai ASN. Hal tersebut bertentangan dengan PP No. 36/2021. Jenis metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian hukum empiris dan dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan dengan pendekatan sosiologis (social legal reaserch). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa gaji guru honorer di SDN Klanderan Kecamatan Plosoklaten Kabupaten Kediri yaitu sebesar Rp.150.000,- (lima belas ribu rupiah) perbulan. Pemberian gaji tersebut nyatanya tidak memenuhi kriteria yang telah tercantum dalam Pasal 1 angka 15 UU No. 15/2015 karena seharusnya gaji guru honorer diberikan dengan layak atau paling tidak cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup. Namun, karena belum terpenuhi, maka PP No. 36/2021 belum terimplementasi dengan baik. Akan tetapi, disisi lain memang ada sekolah yang memang sangat membutuhkan guru tambahan yang membuat kepala sekolah harus mengambil guru tambahan karena banyak mengalami kekosongan, karena jika hanya mengandalkan guru yang pegawai negeri sipil hanya ada beberapa orang dibandingkan dengan jumlah kelas yang ada di SDN Klanderan.Abstract. This research specifically discusses honorary salaries at SDN Klanderan, Plosoklaten District, Kediri Regency, which contains social disparities with teachers who have ASN status. This is contrary to PP no. 36/2021. The type of research method used is empirical legal research and is carried out through field observations with a sociological approach (social legal research). The research results show that the salary of honorary teachers at SDN Klanderan, Plosoklaten District, Kediri Regency is IDR 150,000 (fifteen thousand rupiah) per month. In fact, this salary does not meet the criteria stated in Article 1 point 15 of Law no. 15/2015 because honorary teachers' salaries should be given properly or at least enough to meet living needs. However, because it has not been fulfilled, PP No. 36/2021 has not been implemented properly. However, on the other hand, there are schools that really need additional teachers, which means the principal has to hire additional teachers because there are many vacancies, because if you only rely on teachers who are civil servants, there are only a few people compared to the number of classes at SDN Klanderan
