    Optimalisasi Peran Bidan dalam Pelayanan Kesehatan Lansia Berbasis Pengabdian Masyarakat [Optimizing the Role of Midwives in Community Service–Based Elderly Health Care]

    The increasing number of older adults in Indonesia has led to a higher risk of health problems, particularly non-communicable diseases. Older adults require promotive and preventive efforts to maintain quality of life and prevent disease complications. This community service activity aimed to improve older adults’ knowledge and to conduct early detection of health problems through health education and health screening. The activity was carried out as part of the FIK Mengabdi program organized by the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Pesantren Tinggi Darul Ulum (Unipdu), on November 20, 2025, in Ngumpul Village, Jogoroto District, Jombang Regency. The participants consisted of 38 older adults, supported by four midwives, two health cadres, one nurses, and one physician. The methods included interactive health education and health screening, such as blood pressure measurement, nutritional status assessment, and brief interviews regarding health complaints. The results showed an improvement in older adults’ understanding of the importance of maintaining health and undergoing regular health check-ups. In addition, the health screening identified several older adults with elevated blood pressure A total of 78% (22 individuals) were identified with hypertension, while 23% (9 individuals) had diabetes mellitus and specific health complaints, allowing for counseling and follow-up recommendations. In conclusion, this activity was effective in increasing health awareness among older adults and supporting promotive and preventive health efforts at the community level. Abstrak. Peningkatan jumlah penduduk lanjut usia (lansia) di Indonesia berimplikasi pada meningkatnya risiko masalah kesehatan, terutama penyakit tidak menular. Lansia memerlukan upaya promotif dan preventif untuk menjaga kualitas hidup dan mencegah komplikasi penyakit. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan lansia serta melakukan deteksi dini masalah kesehatan melalui penyuluhan dan skrining kesehatan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam program FIK Mengabdi yang diselenggarakan Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Pesantren Tinggi Darul Ulum (Unipdu) pada tanggal 20 Nopember 2025 di Desa Ngumpul, Kecamatan Jogoroto, Kabupaten Jombang. Sasaran kegiatan adalah 38 orang lansia, dengan dukungan 4 bidan, 2 kader kesehatan, 1 perawat, dan 1 dokter. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan kesehatan secara interaktif dan skrining kesehatan berupa pengukuran tekanan darah, penilaian status gizi, serta wawancara singkat terkait keluhan kesehatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman lansia terhadap pentingnya menjaga kesehatan dan pemeriksaan rutin. Selain itu, skrining kesehatan berhasil mengidentifikasi beberapa lansia dengan tekanan darah di atas normal yaitu 78% (22 orang), dengan diabetes mellitus 23% (9 orang) dan keluhan kesehatan tertentu, sehingga dapat diberikan konseling dan rekomendasi tindak lanjut. Kegiatan ini disimpulkan efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran kesehatan lansia serta mendukung upaya promotif dan preventif di tingkat masyarakat

    Improving the Managerial Capacity of Al Washliyah School Principals through a Strategic Workshop at the School Leaders Forum

    This community service program aimed to enhance the managerial capacity of school principals under the auspices of Al Washliyah through strategic workshops conducted within the School Leaders Forum. The program employed a Service Learning approach that integrated academic knowledge with practical engagement to address real managerial challenges faced by school leaders in the era of educational reform and Society 5.0. The preparation stage involved a needs assessment, literature review, and SWOT analysis to ensure that the intervention was contextually relevant and responsive to institutional conditions. Based on this analysis, a competency-based workshop curriculum was developed, focusing on conceptual, technical, and interpersonal managerial skills. The program was implemented through a series of strategic workshop sessions covering educational strategic planning, alignment with the National Education Standards, digital leadership, teacher performance management, and stakeholder collaboration. The results indicate that the program contributed to improved strategic thinking, increased digital awareness, and strengthened supervisory and motivational competencies among participating principals. Furthermore, the School Leaders Forum functioned as an effective professional learning community that facilitated peer collaboration and reflective leadership practices. Overall, the program demonstrates that structured capacity-building initiatives conducted through professional forums can support the transformation of school principals into instructional and transformational leaders, thereby fostering sustainable improvements in school quality and organizational competitiveness

    Demonstration Of Supplementary Food Preparation Using Tempe and Moringa Pudding

    Nutritional problems are still the main health issue in Indonesia, including in Labibia Village, Mandonga District, Kendari City. Cases of Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) in pregnant women and toddlers T in toddlers show the need for community-based nutrition interventions. One of the efforts made is through a demonstration of making Supplementary Feeding (PMT) made from local ingredients "Moringa Lumen Tempeh Pudding" as a form of empowerment and practical nutrition education for pregnant women, mothers under five, and posyandu cadres. This activity aims to increase participants' knowledge and skills in processing nutritious local food into healthy and attractive menus. The implementation method includes nutrition counseling and hands-on practice of making PMT by involving the community in a participatory manner. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the benefits of tempeh and moringa leaves as a source of protein, vitamins, and minerals to prevent KEK and Toddler T. In addition, participants were able to repractice recipes independently at home. This program has a positive impact on improving family skills in providing nutritious food and encouraging the use of local food as a food security strategy and sustainable nutrition improvement at the household level

    Collaboration Model between Families and Awaliyah Islamic Boarding Schools in Forming Digital Policies for Students Based on Noble Morals

    The digital era presents significant challenges for the character formation of santri in Madrasah Diniyah Awaliyah (MDA), particularly due to unfiltered information flows and limited ethical guidance in online environments. This Community Service (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat / PKM) program aimed to develop an integrative collaboration model between families and madrasah to foster digital wisdom grounded in akhlakul karimah. The program employed an educative and collaborative intervention involving teachers, parents, and santri, beginning with problem identification through digital literacy surveys and focus group discussions. The intervention framework was informed by Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems theory, Islamic moral philosophy derived from the teachings of Luqman al-Hakim, and Lickona’s character education model encompassing moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. The results indicate improved ethical awareness, moral decision-making, and self-regulation in santri’s digital behavior, alongside strengthened parental mediation and teacher facilitation. The findings highlight that consistent value alignment between home and madrasah environments is essential for sustainable digital character development. This PKM program demonstrates that faith-based, ecosystem-oriented approaches offer an effective strategy for cultivating digitally literate yet morally grounded students in the digital age

    Daluwarsa Tindak Pidana: Kajian Yuridis, Problematika Praktis, dan Arah Pembaruan Regulasi

    Daluwarsa tindak pidana merupakan prinsip fundamental dalam hukum pidana yang berfungsi membatasi kewenangan negara dalam melakukan penuntutan dan pelaksanaan pidana setelah jangka waktu tertentu. Prinsip ini bertujuan untuk menjamin kepastian hukum, melindungi hak asasi manusia, serta mencegah penyalahgunaan kekuasaan oleh aparat penegak hukum. Namun, dalam praktik penegakan hukum pidana di Indonesia, penerapan daluwarsa sering menimbulkan berbagai problematika, seperti perkara yang mangkrak, ketidakjelasan awal penghitungan waktu daluwarsa, serta potensi impunitas bagi pelaku kejahatan tertentu. Tulisan ini mengkaji secara yuridis konsep daluwarsa tindak pidana dengan menelaah landasan normatifnya dalam KUHP, KUHAP, serta pembaruan melalui Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 2023 tentang KUHP Nasional. Selain itu, pembahasan diarahkan pada problematika penerapan daluwarsa dalam praktik serta perbandingan dengan pengaturan di beberapa negara lain. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun KUHP Baru telah memperbaiki sistematika pengaturan daluwarsa, ketentuan tersebut masih menyisakan kelemahan, khususnya karena tetap memberlakukan daluwarsa terhadap tindak pidana luar biasa seperti korupsi dan pelanggaran HAM berat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penyempurnaan regulasi daluwarsa yang lebih berorientasi pada keadilan substantif, perlindungan korban, dan harmonisasi dengan hukum internasional

    Enhancing Cognitive and Character Growth in Early Childhood: The Impact of the AI Edugame 'Si Robot Pintar' in Islamic Boarding Schools

    The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has created new opportunities for early childhood education. However, many Islamic boarding schools (Pondok Pesantren) in Indonesia still face limitations in utilizing digital media for learning. This community service project aimed to develop and implement an AI-based educational game, “Si Robot Pintar,” designed to improve children’s critical thinking and foster positive character traits through Islamic values. The research used the ADDIE development model, involving needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The program was carried out in three pesantren in East Java, engaging early childhood students, teachers, and parents. Results showed significant improvements in children’s problem-solving ability, creativity, and character building, especially in honesty, cooperation, and responsibility. Teachers and parents also reported greater engagement and easier facilitation of learning. This project demonstrates that integrating AI technology with Islamic education can provide an effective and innovative approach to strengthening early childhood education in pesantren

    Openness Without Safety? Negotiated Visibility, Stigma, and Well-Being Among Female Sex Workers Living in Local Communities

    Female sex workers (FSWs) often manage a concealable, stigmatized identity, yet some are known within their neighborhoods. Using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), this study examined how five Indonesian FSWs (35–45 years) living in Central Java made sense of “living openly” and mental health as emotional, psychological, and social well-being. “Living openly” was defined as negotiated openness: at least some community members (e.g., neighbors, informal leaders, and/or family) knew participants’ work status, while operational details were deliberately withheld. Participants were recruited via snowball sampling and completed in-depth interviews in Indonesian; excerpts were translated into English for reporting. Idiographic accounts converged in four cross-case themes: (1) boundary work that eased the burden of secrecy without requiring total disclosure; (2) emotional relief coexisting with vigilance as stigma resurfaced through gossip, moral judgment, harassment, and safety concerns; (3) psychological well-being sustained by time–space separation between work and home, privacy management, selective trust, and meaning anchored in caregiving roles; and (4) social well-being built through routine participation and visible contribution to community activities under conditional acceptance. The findings position openness as a continuing social practice through which well-being is reconstructed amid persistent stigma and structural vulnerability.     Cerdas Digital: Peluang Bisnis di Media Sosial untuk Generasi Z

    Abstract. Social media has evolved into one of the most effective platforms for communication, marketing, and business transactions. Generation Z, as digital natives, holds significant potential in leveraging social media as a business platform. However, various challenges remain, ranging from low levels of digital literacy to limited understanding of social media algorithms. This community engagement program was conducted at SMP Insan Cendekia Mandiri Boarding School, Sidoarjo, with the aim of enhancing students’ understanding of digital entrepreneurship, introducing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for promotion, and training them in creating marketable digital content. The implementation method consisted of four stages: initiation, preparation, execution in the form of socialization and training, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results indicated an improvement in students’ comprehension of digital entrepreneurship concepts, their ability to utilize social media productively, and their creativity in content creation. The average pre-test score of 95.14 increased to 96.00 in the post-test, reflecting strengthened conceptual understanding and practical skills. This article underscores the importance of educational strategies and the sustainability of training programs to ensure that young generations can optimize social media as a business tool. Abstrak. Media sosial telah berkembang menjadi salah satu sarana paling efektif untuk komunikasi, pemasaran, sekaligus transaksi bisnis. Generasi Z sebagai generasi digital native memiliki potensi besar dalam memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai platform bisnis. Namun, berbagai tantangan masih dihadapi, mulai dari rendahnya literasi digital hingga pemahaman yang terbatas terkait algoritma media sosial. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SMP Insan Cendekia Mandiri Boarding School Sidoarjo dengan tujuan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang digital entrepreneurship, memperkenalkan pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan (AI) untuk promosi, serta melatih keterampilan pembuatan konten digital bernilai jual. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari tahap inisiasi, persiapan, eksekusi berupa sosialisasi dan pelatihan, serta evaluasi menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa terkait konsep kewirausahaan digital, kemampuan memanfaatkan media sosial secara produktif, serta kreativitas dalam pembuatan konten. Nilai rata-rata pre-test sebesar 95,14 meningkat menjadi 96,00 pada post-test, menunjukkan adanya penguatan pemahaman konseptual dan keterampilan praktis. Artikel ini menegaskan pentingnya strategi edukatif dan keberlanjutan program pelatihan agar generasi muda mampu mengoptimalkan media sosial sebagai sarana bisnis

    Midwives’ performance is an important indicator of the quality of midwifery services in primary healthcare facilities. Optimal performance is influenced by various individual and work-related factors. This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing midwives’ performance in providing midwifery services at Bontoramba Public Health Center, Jeneponto Regency. This study employed a cross-sectional design. The population as well as the sample consisted of all midwives working at Bontoramba Public Health Center, totaling 33 respondents, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed bivariately using the Chi-Square test. The results showed a significant association between length of service and midwives’ performance (p = 0.013), workload and midwives’ performance (p = 0.027), and attitude and midwives’ performance (p = 0.013). In conclusion, length of service, workload, and attitude significantly influence midwives’ performance in providing midwifery services. Therefore, effective human resource management is needed to improve midwives’ performance through workload management, development of professional attitudes, and optimization of work experience. Abstrak. Kinerja bidan merupakan salah satu indikator penting dalam keberhasilan pelayanan kebidanan di fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan tingkat pertama. Kinerja yang optimal dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, baik individu maupun pekerjaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja bidan dalam memberikan pelayanan kebidanan di Puskesmas Bontoramba, Kabupaten Jeneponto. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional. Populasi sekaligus sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh bidan yang bekerja di Puskesmas Bontoramba sebanyak 33 orang, dengan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis secara bivariat menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara masa kerja dengan kinerja bidan (p = 0,013), beban kerja dengan kinerja bidan (p = 0,027), serta sikap dengan kinerja bidan (p = 0,013). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa masa kerja, beban kerja, dan sikap berpengaruh terhadap kinerja bidan dalam memberikan pelayanan kebidanan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya manajemen sumber daya manusia yang optimal untuk meningkatkan kinerja bidan melalui pengelolaan beban kerja, pembinaan sikap profesional, dan pemanfaatan pengalaman kerja

    Food security is one of the key strategic issues in sustainable development, particularly at the local community level, which is vulnerable to food crises and climate change. To address this challenge, this community service activity was conducted with the aim of improving knowledge and skills among community members, especially local farmer groups in cultivating herbal plants as a strategy for local food resilience and the implementation of a circular economy at Kebun Dakwah Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The cultivated commodities include ginger, aromatic ginger (kencur), turmeric, temulawak, and lemongrass, all of which have high potential as raw materials for value-added herbal products. The educational program was designed using a participatory approach, involving lectures, hands-on training, and mentoring by a multidisciplinary team of lecturers and students from Universitas Ahmad Dahlan’s KKN (Community Service Program). The training covered land preparation, seed selection, eco-friendly cultivation techniques, and post-harvest product processing education to support the circular economy concept. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants’ understanding of the benefits of herbal plants (increasing 29%) and cultivation techniques (increasing 30%). This initiative also supports the optimization of existing post-harvest technologies such as solar dryers, while strengthening the circular economy ecosystem in the area. Abstrak. Ketahanan pangan merupakan salah satu isu strategis dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan, khususnya di tingkat komunitas lokal yang rentan terhadap krisis pangan dan perubahan iklim. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat khususnya kelompok petani komunitas dalam membudidayakan tanaman herbal sebagai bagian dari strategi ketahanan pangan lokal dan implementasi ekonomi sirkular di Kebun Dakwah Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Komoditas yang dibudidayakan meliputi jahe, kencur, kunyit, temulawak, dan sereh wangi yang memiliki potensi tinggi sebagai bahan baku produk olahan herbal bernilai tambah. Program edukasi dirancang melalui pendekatan partisipatif dengan metode penyuluhan, pelatihan praktik langsung, dan pendampingan oleh tim dosen lintas disiplin dan mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Universitas Ahmad Dahlan. Edukasi dilakukan mulai dari penyiapan lahan, pemilihan bibit, teknik budidaya ramah lingkungan, hingga edukasi pengolahan produk pascapanen sebagai implementasi konsep ekonomi sirkular. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta terhadap manfaat tanaman herbal sebanyak 29% dan teknik budidayanya sebesar 30%. Kegiatan ini juga mendukung optimalisasi teknologi fasilitas pascapanen yang telah ada di lokasi pengabdian seperti rumah pengering, sekaligus memperkuat ekosistem ekonomi sirkular di kawasan tersebut
