Cyberterrorism: a New Form of Terror, a Misunderstood Crime or a Free-Pass for Privacy Invasion? Morocco as a Case of Study
The phenomenon of cyberterrorism remains a contentious topic among scholars, with ongoing debates regarding its very existence. Questions arise as to whether cyberterrorism constitutes a distinct crime or if it is merely an exaggerated and politically manipulated form of cybercrime. This discourse introduces several critical issues, the first being the challenge of defining terrorism itself, a concern that has persisted since the inception of the term. Additionally, there exists a significant distinction between cyberterrorism and cybercrime, necessitating a clear understanding of the boundaries that separate the two. Another pressing inquiry involves evaluating the potential threats posed by cyberterrorism and the ramifications of cyber attacks. Furthermore, the discourse extends to the realm of human rights in the digital landscape, particularly in light of governmental initiatives aimed at enhancing cybersecurity. Numerous scholars have explored these complex questions, including Michael Stohl, who has examined the definitional ambiguities between cyberterrorism and cybercrime , and Gabriel Weimann, who has focused on assessing the threats associated with cyberterrorism . This paper will conduct a case study of the Kingdom of Morocco, analyzing the definitions it employs for terms such as Terrorism , cyberterrorism , cybercrime , and cybersecurity “. The analysis will delve into the limitations inherent in each definition before evaluating the counter-cyberterrorism measures implemented, assessing their significance, effectiveness, and the potential for unintended consequences stemming from the adopted policies
Looking South The Moroccan Dream: Foreign Policy Theoretical Perspectives and Morocco’s Turn towards Mother Africa
This work examines Morocco’s unprecedented foreign policy choice toward sub-Saharan Africa under the auspices of liberalism and realism in foreign policy analysis frameworks. It argues that while Morocco’s foreign policy toward the region is one of liberal character, that is market and business oriented, it is still aimed at realist grounds. In other words, while liberalism helps extract Morocco’s liberal motives for choosing Sub-Saharan Africa, it does not provide the whole picture. Considering Morocco’s national integrity and security objectives, the Western Sahara issue provides explanation for the geopolitical and strategic motives behind this foreign policy for which the realist model is used. The article further argues that while religion is a major component in the way the foreign policy is carried it is neither a motive nor an end in itself rather an institutional and political tool to serve liberal and realist objectives. The research is carried through a literature review
Social Media as a Political Actor: Analyzing Their Roles during Conflicts
The research explores the complex roles that social media play as political actors during conflicts, focusing on their influence on public opinion, mobilization efforts, and information dissemination. This study addresses three main research questions related to the mechanisms of public opinion influence, the role of social media in mobilizing social movements, and their impact on information dissemination in conflict scenarios in the Middle East and the war in Gaza. Using a qualitative methodology grounded in theoretical analysis, it uncovers critical insights into how algorithmic amplification shapes public discourse, the diverse effectiveness of digital mobilization, and the challenges of misinformation. The findings suggest that while social media can facilitate the rapid dissemination of information, they also contribute to the creation of echo chambers and the spread of false narratives. This research contributes to the understanding of social media as vital political actors and highlights the need for improved fact-checking and content moderation strategies. The research suggests that future studies should consider broader conflict contexts and mixed methodologies to deepen the analysis of the political roles of these platforms
Intelligent Energy Management Mechanisms for Electric Vehicles: A Review
This paper investigates intelligent methods used for energy management (EM) in Electric Vehicles (EV). The key role of EM in EVs to increase the performance of the vehicle and reduce Fuel Consumption (FC) thus producing less greenhouse effect. However, the used tactics had limitations. An introduced model of Intelligent Energy Management System (IEMS) for Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) was efficient for FC reduction. Whereas for IEMS Based on Kalman Filtering showed a low percentage of error. While EM using Tags Threshold Admission And Greedy Scheduling improves EV’s performance, but it can only manage energy per one EV. Another model of IEMS for hybrid electric vehicles HEV had high reliability since it was performed using various models. Additionally, EMS based on global optimization has reduced FC through Linear programming and Dynamic Programming. Moreover, Particle Swarm Optimization gave less FC by 10.26\% when tested and compared to Torque Efficiency Optimization. However, Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) produced low error since it’s self-learning. ANN works better than Coulomb Counting and Extended Kalman Filter. EM using deep learning with ANN model is useful; it can save a percentage of energy each time it’s tested. Furthermore, Simulation outputs of Deep Reinforcement Learning based EMS had better performance than the rule-based EMS in FC

Turkey and the Exit from the International Monetary Fund Predicament: Stages of Transition from Dependence to Independence
The study aims to identify the reasons for Turkey\u27s borrowing from the International Monetary Fund and its implications for the country\u27s economic reality. It explains how the AKP managed to pull the country out of its economic crisis and achieve a state of prosperity, ultimately enabling Turkey to pay off its entire debt to the International Monetary Fund in 2013. The study is based on a key assumption: There is a correlation between the ability of the AKP to extract Turkey from the IMF\u27s predicament and to pay off the entire Turkish debt in 2013, and the economic policies implemented by the party since taking office in 2002 as part of the structural reforms it adopted. For this study, both the career approach and the decision-making approach were employed. The study concluded that the new economic policy adopted by the Justice and Development Party since coming to power, based on a strict economic vision focused on fighting corruption and implementing structural reforms, has resulted in a positive economic reality. This enabled Turkey to pay off its entire debt to the International Monetary Fund in 2013. Therefore, the study recommends that Turkey and countries that have successfully paid off their debts to the IMF should form an economic advisory group to support and guide countries seeking to eliminate their debts to the IMF by providing effective solutions and possible assistance. Turkey and developing countries, especially Arab nations, along with those advocating for the necessity of reforming the IMF Charter, should strive to form a unified front that demands and supports the reduction of the major countries\u27 control over the policies and decisions of the IMF, and pressure for amending the articles of the Fund\u27s Charter
