Educational and Legal Implications of Determining the Age of Marriage in light of Sharia and Law

    No full text
There is no doubt that research to determine the age of marriage and the eligibility of suitors is one of the most important issues in our society, especially in recent times which have seen a significant increase in underage marriage, in order to face any exploitation that these underage girls could suffer from, whether at the hands of their parents or by others, because this has harmful effects on all levels: health, psychological, social, etc. The latest amendment made by the Supreme Islamic Sharia Council in Lebanon on the age of marriage raised awareness among Lebanese society to take precautionary measures to prevent the exploitation of minors. Despite the clear differences between the views of ancient and contemporary jurisprudence on the question of suitors\u27 eligibility for marriage, setting the minimum age for the bride and groom should not contradict Islamic law as long as the aim is to protect the minor girl and prevent her exploitation, in accordance with the provisions of Islamic law, which includes a jurisprudential rule that warding off evil takes precedence over bringing interests. Therefore, setting the age of marriage in order to restrict the permissible and in the public interest is permissible in Shariah, provided that there is room for exception within the framework of the strict control of the competent authorities. In exceptional cases, if the girl\u27s interest requires that she marry at an early age, i.e. below the legally prescribed age, it is up to the Sharia judge to assess whether the bride\u27s interest is secure, especially if her failure to marry could cause her greater harm

    No full text
The United States emerged as the sole super power country after the cold war and the dissolution of the Soviet Union 1991, and its dominance was particularly significant in Europe, and Middle East countries where America first ideology controlled most of their decisions. However, the United States dominance and the fact of having a sole power country to control the world is no longer as effective as it was before the Russian Ukraine war. Russia became a threat to the unipolar system, and it encouraged the emergence of a new multipolar system after the war alarmed United States that China, and Russia are emerging, and the liberal system is eroding. The hegemony of Russia on the undo-pacific region, the exploitation of African countries natural resources, as well as the establishment of military bases, and the increase of Russian military forces tunnels are all considered a threat to the effectiveness of the liberal system. The west finds it hard to comprehend Russia’s geopolitical thinking, but what they can do is basically related to the use of power, and that’s a proof that liberalism exists only as a theory. This paper argues the impact of the Russian Ukraine war on the shifts in the international order as a consequence of the rising power of Russia and China through the lens of liberalism and realism perspetives

    Discourse of Indian Knowledge System

    No full text
Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) is a section of the Indian Ministry of Education that promotes indigenous knowledge systems. Knowledge assets generated in India are called the Indian Knowledge System (IKS). Mathematics, physics, technology, medicine, astronomy, architecture, philosophy, arts, languages, literature, culture, society, and traditions are included. IKS has traditionally established its own written or verbal texts, methodologies, and standards for knowledge generation, validation, and dissemination. The Indian knowledge system covers all sectors of society, unlike the western one. Indian knowledge system lags western methodology. This deficiency is due to two factors: Indias history as a nation-state and western societys methodology. History shows the development and collapse of Indian societies like Vedic, Post Vedic, Medieval, Colonial, and Independent India, while western technique is scientific and universal (Eurocentrism in post-colonial discourse). Indian knowledge systems use oral tradition more. In this paper we are trying to investigate the historical journey of Indian Knowledge system through methodological comparison with the western system. This paper is based on Secondary data using Historical and comparative methods. Through this study Student, Researcher and Intellectuals will definitely be able to learn new and expand their knowledge through Indian Knowledge System

Kinetic energy generated from motion. Such energy is observable as the movement of an object. The heavier the object is, the faster it moves, and more kinetic energy it has. In this recent era where design and science integration are vital in architecture and energy and energy, both scientists and designers strive to push their respective fields towards achieving a more efficient built environment. Utilizing motion into the architecture to conserve energy for environmental and economic benefits is one of the recent challenges in the renewable energy (RE) field. This paper aims at comprehensively exploring the literature about the recent ways and motivations developed for capturing kinetic energy in buildings. Moreover, this research highlights the importance of extracting energy from motion through case studies analysis of kinetic buildings. According to the measurements and analysis in a local case study, this paper provides preliminary information about the applicability of the kinetic architecture attempts from footsteps. Based on the results Kinetic energy could be very beneficial in environmental, economic and wellbeing aspects for humanity. Kinetic Tiles is not only useful in generating energy but also, it can be helpful in data collection and useful for crowd-flow modelin

Artificial intelligence (AI)-based models have been widely applied for energy consumption forecasting over the past decades. The purpose of this paper is to review the classical techniques and the emerging new techniques based on AI of the building electrical energy consumption forecasting. The advantages of AI-based techniques over the classical are that AI methods can handle a large amount of data yet gives accurate results, the results can be found very quickly, in addition to AI having the ability to solve complex nonlinear patterns of raw data. This paper will discuss several studies using different models of forecasting based on AI and compare them. It will also discuss several studies using different models of forecasting based on AI and compare between them, coming up with the conclusion that the model that achieved the lowest MAPE is ANN with 0.928\%

ANALOG TO DIGITAL CONVERTERS TOPOLOGIES FOR RADAR SYSTEM APPLICATION: A COMPARISON

    No full text
Analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) that convert analog signals into digital ones play a significant role in radar systems. The accuracy and resolution of radar readings are significantly influenced by the quality and performance of ADCs. This paper discusses and compares the application of five different types of ADCs in radar systems. It also elaborates on each ADC\u27s working principle, advantages, and limitations. The parameters compared are resolution and dynamic range, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), latency and sampling rate, power consumption, size, and cost. After thorough research, we concluded that each ADC differs depending on the designer’s desired application. For example, flash ADCs are the best when it comes to high-speed and high-resolution responses, which are critical for accurate measurements. However, we can conclude that the best among the compared ADCs for radar application would be sigma-delta ADC, which is better because it is inexpensive and has a high-resolution and dynamic range for radar operations

    No full text
This study aimed to explore the relationship between social anxiety and its connections to obsessive-compulsive disorder and paranoid personality among adolescents of divorced parents in Jordan, as well as how these variables relate to gender. The sample consisted of 497 male and female students at the secondary level during the 2015/2016 scholastic year. The participants scored high on the anxiety test but low on the perceived self-efficacy test. To achieve the study\u27s objectives and answer its inquiries, a descriptive correlational design was employed. Three assessments were administered to measure the characteristics of social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and paranoid personality disorder, using correlation methods for analysis. It was found that there is a significant correlational relationship between the characteristics of social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and paranoid personality disorder, with correlation coefficients of 0.454 and 0.377, respectively, at a significance level of (α = 0.05). Furthermore, the results indicated that there is an impact of the variables (obsessive-compulsive disorder and paranoid personality disorder) on the characteristics of social anxiety, with the multiple correlation coefficient reaching 0.272, and the F statistic value reaching 93.885 at a significance level of (α = 0.05). In light of these findings, the researchers recommend conducting further studies on social anxiety disorder using new samples and variables to enhance awareness within Jordanian society based on the results of this study

Analysis of the Inconsistency in the Impact of Gross Domestic Product on Household Consumption in Algeria for the Period (1970-2017)

    No full text
This study aimed to analyze the asymmetry in the impact of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on family consumption in Algeria for the period (1970-2017) using the NARDL model. The study found that there are two effects of GDP on family consumption: negative and positive. It was determined that the negative impact of GDP on family consumption is greater than the positive effect in both the short and long term. Additionally, the study found that the relationship between family consumption in Algeria and the positive effects of GDP was in line with economic theory, while the relationship between family consumption and the negative effects of GDP contradicted economic theory. Therefore, the study recommended the need to control the consumption patterns of members of society, especially during periods of optimism and economic recovery, and to adapt these patterns to the national production structure and the nature of national products
