Etude sémantique des isotopies dans le discours des femmes d’Aît Znassen en chantant eṣ-ṣǝff

    No full text
This article takes stock of a reflection on the different isotopic relationships woven in the song of women eṣ-ṣeff by Aît Znassen. This reflection is essentially based on the analysis of five isotopies, namely generic, specific, mixed, inherent and afferent isotopies. The study of these isotopies has shown that, although they have points in common insofar as they are all based on the recurrence of one or more semes, they have, in exchange, points of divergence, due to the fact that each of them has a property that distinguishes it from other isotopies. This analysis also made it possible to note the predominance of afferent isotopies and specific isotopies participating in the symbolic or metaphorical connections that women seek to create by singing in order to escape the suspicions and reproaches of others

Digitization refers to the creation of a digital copy of a text, image or other object. And if we make a copy of something, it\u27s often to prevent its waste. It\u27s a process which look like photocopying. We can digitize or scan silver photos, for example, to save them digitally or publish them online. In the art world, digitization makes it possible to save certain works of art from oblivion and deterioration. Paradoxically, it saves them, while at the same time falsifying them. Until recently, the concept of an archive was something tangible and material, but now we\u27re talking more and more about the digital archive. In a way, the lack of trust in digital technology is shrinking, giving way to a new way of safeguarding and preserving both tangible and intangible heritage. And in what way? By digitizing old images, maps, drawings, diagrams, sound recordings and more. In our opinion, the digitization of works of art, even large-format ones such as paintings, photographs, sculptures and other artefacts, remains the prerogative of major museums and cultural institutions. In this article, we will take a look at the example of the Micro-Folie digital museum in France, and the policy of digitizing masterpieces at national level and mediating them internationally

Interaction entre le langage et la narration dans Les Égarements du cœur et de l’esprit de Crébillon fils

The interaction between literature and linguistics must be thought of as permanent round trips: on the one hand linguistics can be useful for the study of literary texts; on the other hand, literature is itself likely to give a subject, a very rich field of investigation to linguistics. We will focus on analyzing some theories of linguistic enunciation applied to the Misguidances of the heart and mind of Crébillonfils, a memoir-novel published in 1736. Our goal was only to highlight the literarity or the poetics of the Crebillonian text through certain constants of the speech act common to the characters and the author, and to analyze the spirit that they reflect. The study of some particularly significant aspects of enunciation has brought out a dominant feature of Crébillon\u27s speech, namely the reluctance shown by the speaker with regard to any expression that is too affirmative or too direct to be able to be revoked if necessary. The character, like the narrator, resorts to formulas that mask his identity, which present his thought with a detour, and which deliberately leave the interlocutor in doubt as to the exact meaning of his words and his true attitude on the issues they are discussing

In the FLE classroom, the properties of each textual typology are constantly discussed separately. However, it seems to us that the vast majority of learners apparently question the usefulness of all this in their experience. This observation is made in the light of the feedback loop. Since we are convinced that an effective teacher is one who regularly subjects his or her pedagogical actions to reflection, our contribution to the proceedings of this international symposium is intended as a contribution to the various strategies to be adopted with a view to shaping a methodical learner. We will show that the study of text typology represents an opportunity to help students think SMART in the age of artificial intelligence

In the early 1990s, social marketing campaigns were considered one of the most important tools for achieving social awareness and promoting dialogue in Arab societies, especially in light of economic and social development. Such campaigns primarily aim to create dialogue to enhance public engagement with change practices and support a spirit of social responsibility by instilling values of national identity. The most prominent manifestation of this campaign currently is supporting public engagement with campaigns to boycott fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs) through support for local consumer products. This study aims to reveal the role of social marketing in promoting dialogue and enhancing public engagement with campaigns to boycott fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs). This study reviews the most important social marketing strategies and highlights their impact on social change in consumer patterns, particularly for fast-moving consumer products. A descriptive-analytical approach will be used, using a questionnaire on a random sample of 86 respondents from Jordanian society. The study concludes that social marketing plays a significant role as one of the most important factors for the success of campaigns to boycott fast-moving consumer goods. It also represents one of the most important tools for social change and one of the most prominent concepts of social responsibility. The results also show that engagement with boycott pages on social media has made people more aware of and committed to the boycott

    No full text
This study examines the historical evolution of earthquakes in Palestine from 760 BCE to 2023 CE. The aim is to comprehend and provide insights for decision-makers regarding the seismic nature of the region. The study traces the movement of tectonic plates across various geological eras, analyzing the resulting changes in the geology of Palestine and their role in shaping its current morphology. Using a descriptive, historical, and analytical approach, the study relies on relevant reports and studies. The seismic movements, including medium, strong, and violent earthquakes, were tracked over an extended period. The study calculated the periodic average for each type of earthquake and aimed to develop possible scenarios for the region\u27s seismic future. The findings suggest that the Dead Sea Basin and northern Palestine are in close proximity to the periodic average for violent earthquakes. The study indicates that the return periods of seismic activity in Palestine increase with the seismic intensity. Earthquakes with a magnitude exceeding 6 on the Richter scale required a return period estimated at 39 years. The study recommends the collaborative development of institutions, early awareness of potential risks, and the creation of a national plan to mitigate the consequences of such earthquakes when they occur

Cities that are poorly planned, managed, and controlled, can become centers of poverty, inequality, and conflict. Good Urban Governance refers to the various ways in which individuals and institutions, both public and private, plan and manage the city\u27s common affairs promoting the concept of Inclusive City” by advocating enabling approach Decentralization, involvement, partnerships, capacity building, and networking. The study discusses urban governance conceptualization and assesses it depending on five principles effectiveness, accountability, equity, participatory and security. Also, it studies green space conservation and investigates the main challenges that faces conserving green spaces and implementing strategies. It explores new Egyptian communities as well as Problems of green areas in Egypt and their causes and calculates Individual share of green spaces m2/individual for each Egyptian new site comparing to minimum Individual share of green spaces that is recommended by World Health Organization WHO considering the urban governance legal framework in Egypt and green area conservation according to the Egyptian law. It discusses good governance as an approach for quality of life focusing on Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) as factor for Quality of Life (QOL). In addition, this study will analyze and compare some examples based on Urban Governance Index (UGI) specially (CSS). As a result, the analytical comparison study highlights the importance of integrating good urban governance principles to green space conservation strategies. The study could be helpful within similar urban locales in developing or impoverished countries

Combustion Characteristics and Cycle-to-Cycle Variations in a Diesel Generator Fueled with Used Frying Oil Biodiesel Blends

    No full text
This paper investigates the combustion characteristics and cycle-to-cycle variations in a stationary direct-injection diesel generator fueled with biodiesel derived from used frying oil (UFO) blended with conventional diesel. Used frying oil methyl ester (UFOME), referred to as UB100, was produced through a single-step alkali transesterification process and blended with diesel fuel in varying proportions (UB10, UB20, UB30, UB40, and UB50). Experiments were conducted on a single-cylinder, naturally aspirated diesel engine operating at a constant speed of 1500 rpm under five different load conditions: 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 90%. In-cylinder pressure data from 400 consecutive cycles were analyzed to determine combustion parameters such as peak cylinder pressure (PP), mean indicated pressure (MIP), start of combustion (SOC), location of peak pressure (LPP), and cycle-to-cycle variations, quantified by the coefficient of variation in MIP (COV-MIP). Key findings indicate that UB100 exhibited higher density and viscosity, a significantly higher flash point, a lower cetane number, and a lower heating value compared to regular diesel (RD). UB blends generally exhibited lower PP and MIP compared to RD. Higher biodiesel concentrations in blends (UB40, UB50) resulted in an advanced state of charge (SOC) and lower power loss per kilowatt (LPP), particularly at higher engine loads. While UB blends showed increased COV-MIP by 5-25% compared to diesel, all values remained well below the 10% threshold associated with drivability issues. In terms of performance, the analysis revealed that UB blends had lower air-fuel ratios (AFR) and higher brake-specific fuel consumption (BSFC). Regarding emissions, tests demonstrated that UB blends produced less carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) and also had lower exhaust gas temperatures (Texh) compared to diesel fuel. These results highlight the potential of used frying oil biodiesel as an alternative fuel for diesel generators, offering environmental benefits, though with some trade-offs in performance and combustion stability

International Protection of Cultural Heritage in Times of War and Peace

    No full text
cultural heritage is the link between people’s present and their past; therefore, most countries are keen to preserve this link. However, the perception of cultural heritage varies according to the peoples’ awareness of the importance of their heritage on the one hand, and the extent to which countries provide care and protection factors for their cultural heritage on the other. Movable and immovable cultural heritage in time of war benefits from the protection prescribed for civilian objects; hence, it must not be struck or attacked by warring states, in accordance with international humanitarian law applicable in times of armed conflict. During peacetime, there is another legal arsenal at the international level that guarantees this protection
