Towards a connected world: Collaborative networks as a tool to accomplish the SDGs

    No full text
Collaborative networks (CNs) are joint entities of autonomous partners that work towards a common goal with shared resources and roles. In 2016, the United Nations announced 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) as part of the 2030 agenda. SDG 17 is “Partnerships for the goals” highlighting the importance of cross-country and cross-company collaborative action. Although the link between CNs and sustainable development is frequently declared, no study in the literature investigates the connection between CNs and the SDGs. This systematic literature review (SLR) follows the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Based on the SLR results, a context-interventions-mechanisms-outcomes (CIMO) framework for CNs is proposed, serving as a tool to comprehend the types of CNs to achieve the SDGs. Only 10 out of 77 articles mentioned the SDGs they address. The norm is to focus on a single SDG per study and not assess the dimension of the impact on the SDGs or the trade-offs that can be established between them. The most frequently mentioned SDGs in the text are SDG 9 and SDG 12, with only 2 articles focusing on the social dimension. SDG 10 and SDG 16 were not mentioned in any of the articles. The majority of articles are case studies and technical papers, developing scale-up solutions and creating value from waste. The identified gaps lead to the proposition of several potential research areas: 1) the need for developing mechanisms that allow CNs to effectively implement interventions that achieve specific SDGs; 2) the lack of studies incorporating the social dimension given the social nature of the SDGs; 3) few SDGs are addressed by CNs (particularly SDG 9 and SDG 12) and majority of SDGs are ignored; 4) there is a scarcity of studies targeting the tertiary sector; 5) the need for alignment of CNs’ business models with the SDGs; 6) a lack of studies addressing specific SDGs (6, 10, and 16); and 7) the necessity of studies demonstrating collaboration between industry and academia for systemic change. The study aids decisionmakers in identifying policies that facilitate the formation of CNs aligned with the SDGs.No sponso

First, it was used to streamline marketing procedures, but in the present, AI technology is having an impact on every element of tourism, including welcoming visitors, providing for their requirements, listening to them and making suggestions for better decision-making which lead to enhancing personalisation, customizing consumer recommendations, and ensuring quick responses even when staff employees are not available (Dumitru, 2023). This study aims to investigate the impact of robot service on tourists. For this purpose, 5 hotels serving with robots are chosen and customer reviews on tripadvisor are analyzed with sentiment analysis. The study results point out the drawbacks, positive, negative and neutral reactions of the visitors by taking into consideration the various visitors with different needs and perceptions. This study takes attention to the impact of robots on tourists by analyzing their reviews. Besides its various benefits and contributions, AI must be handled carefully in tourism. The study results are expected to contribute to the understanding of AI in hospitality

EEG-based emotion recognition in neuromarketing using fuzzy linguistic summarization

    No full text
In recent years, to increase market share, companies have preferred neuromarketing over traditional methods for better analysis of consumer behavior. Since it easily detects customers' subconscious preferences, electroencephalography (EEG), a brain imaging method, has become widespread within neuromarketing techniques. To make sense of EEG signals, dimensional models are used to convert them into emotions. These steps can reveal emotions and preferences easily but still require an expert for detailed stimulus analysis. This article proposed a fuzzy linguistic summarization approach to provide a decision support tool aimed at presenting detailed analysis to neuromarketing experts. EEG signals were recorded to analyze a hotel's three (audio, video, web page) advertisements (ads). These were converted into fuzzy emotion labels in a modified Russell's circumplex model for more specific analysis. Then, these emotion labels were used in linguistic summarization. EEG data were handled in three types: univariate, multivariate, and multigranular detected time series. Each ad was summarized according to demographic features, such as gender and age, allowing comparisons between ads and their segments. The granular trend detection algorithm was modified to detect the simultaneous effects of ads. This study will inspire future studies with three innovations: fuzzy linguistic summarization technique in neuromarketing, fuzzy emotion recognition, and a modified multigranular trend detection algorithm that detects simultaneous agglomeration that is often overlooked. No sponso

    No full text
The maximal Bs p,q -regularity properties of a fractional convolution elliptic equation is studied. Particularly, it is proven that the operator generated by this nonlocal elliptic equation is sectorial in Bs p,q and also is a generator of an analytic semigroup. Moreover, well-posedeness of nonlocal fractional parabolic equation in Besov spaces is obtained. Then by using the Bs p,q -regularity properties of linear problem, the existence, uniqueness of maximal regular solution of corresponding fractional nonlinear equation is establishedNo sponso

    No full text
Objective: Home program (HP) compliance is a crucial matter for parents of cerebral palsy (CP). A questionnaire is needed to determine the compliance and perceptions of parents of children with CP regarding the HP. The aim is to evaluate the structural validity, reliability, and responsiveness of Compliance and Perceptions of Parents of Children with Cerebral Palsy to Home Program Assessment Questionnaire (CPHP-Q). Methods: Parents of children with CP aged 2-18 years completed CPHP-Q (n=225). Among all participants, 70 individuals were randomly selected for responsiveness, and another 70 individuals were selected for reliability. Psychometric properties were evaluated using the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and Cronbach’s Alpha for reliability, effect size (ES) and standard response mean (SRM) for responsiveness, and factor analysis for validity. Results: In parents with CP, CPHP-Q demonstrated high internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha=0.96, ICC=0.93). Compliance and Perceptions of Parents of Children with Cerebral Palsy to Home Program Assessment Questionnaire showed significant responsiveness with ES value 1.31 and SRM value 1.29. Kaiser Meyer Olkin (KMO) was found to be significant with a value of 0.82. According to factor analysis, Chi-square/degrees of freedom (CMIN/DF)=2.25, The Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA)=0.07, Goodness of Fit Index (GFI)=0.84, and comparative fit index (CFI)=0.93 were found. These values showed that model fit was good. Conclusion: The CPHP-Q is a valid, reliable, and responsive measure for HP adherence of parents of children with CP, and it is useful for determining HP implementation adherence and perceptions of parents but needs validation in other languages. No sponso

    No full text
The prolonged issue of poor posture due to desk work has led to innovative technologicalremedies. This study shows the development of a flexible piezoelectric biosensor integrating BaTiO3nanoparticles within a Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) matrix for practical posture correction. Thebiosensor is capable of real-time posture monitoring and correction by leveraging the piezoelectricproperties of BaTiO3. Comprehensive synthesis and characterization using X-ray diffraction analysis(XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) validated the ideal particle size and crystallinestructure of the composite. COMSOL Multiphysics simulations showed a peak potential of 0.87 voltsunder mechanical stress, which further confirmed the sensor’s efficiency. Electrical testing revealedthat the sensor with 35 wt.% BaTiO3exhibited a higher output voltage of 0.87 V compared to 0.34 Vfor the sensor with 30 wt.% BaTiO3, emphasizing its exceptional potential for addressing posture-related issues. No Sponso

Missed nursing care and adverse events

    No full text
Missed nursing care is defined as “the delay/delay or omission of necessary patient care (partially or completely).” Missed nursing care encountered at any stage of the care continuum is not a result of intentional action or in- action, but rather a result of indirect restriction as a form of clinical priority setting by the nurse. Missed nursing care has been associated with preventable adverse events and negatively impacts patient safety. Although errors of omission lead to more serious problems for patients, the literature has focused more on order/commission errors. This review aims to examine the concept of missed nursing care, its causes, patient outcomes and effects on nursing, and the prevention of adverse events, within the framework of the Missed Nursing Care Model. No sponso

    Teleassessment Methods in Geriatric Rehabilitation.

    No full text
Teleassessment occupies an essential place in health technology. Continuous monitoring is vital to maintain active and healthy aging, especially in aging societies. To do this cost-effectively and efficiently, tele-evaluation approaches should be used. In addition, older adults can have many health problems, and this is a frequent reason for hospital admission. Teleassessment reduces the burden on the health system and avoids many of the issues experienced by older adults, such as transportation difficulties. There are methods for self-assessment, such as sensor systems, smart homes, phone calls, teleconferences, and artificial intelligence systems. These methods need to be known by health professionals so they can put them into practice and explain them to patients and their relatives. This chapter presents teleassessment methods and provides a quick guide for health professionals. No sponso
