Effect of anesthesy materials on stunning time, water quality, waking time, and blood glucose of carp fish (Cyprinus carpio)
Fishery commodities in a live condition are preferred and demanded by consumers. The stunning method (anesthesia) is an important solution to reduce fish metabolism during transportation, so that fish are more resistant to stress and mortality can be reduced. One of the methods of stunning that can be done is using natural anesthetic ingredients, namely clove and lemongrass oil. This study aims to determine the natural anesthetic ingredients on fainting time, recovery time, water quality, and blood glucose of carp (Cyprinus carpio). The study used experimental method and the data were analyzed descriptively. Clove oil showed the fastest stupor time compared to lemongrass oil and β-hydroxyethyl phenyl ether with an average initial sedation time of 1 minute 48 seconds and a stupor time of 3 minutes 3 seconds. Meanwhile, the time required to get fit to get fit again is an average of 2 minutes 44 seconds and 7 minutes. Clove oil influenced the fastest behavioral response by giving the effect of fainting at the 5th minute and the slowest total operculum opening of 182. Water quality, namely temperature (29.1℃ to 29.15℃) and ammonia (0 to 0.5 ppm) increased, while DO (5.9 to 4.95 mg/L) and pH (7.33 to 6.67) decreased after being given clove oil. The blood glucose of goldfish was normal after stunning using clove oil at 76 mg/dL. Clove oil has the potential to be a natural anesthetic for goldfish stunning
Marketing and fish processing strategies of sari ulam micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) in Tegal City
This study aims to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) factors, formulate business development strategies, and determine strategic priorities for the Sari Ulam MSME in Tegal City, a producer of local fish-based products. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method utilizing SWOT analysis and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to construct IFAS, EFAS, TOWS, and QSPM matrices. The analysis reveals that Sari Ulam MSME faces constraints in production capacity, suboptimal digital promotion, and conventional human resource and financial management. Conversely, significant opportunities arise from increasing public interest in healthy food, enhanced access to digital markets, and government support. The IFAS score of 2.55 indicates a relatively balanced internal condition, while the EFAS score of 2.60 suggests that external factors are more influential. The priority strategy derived from the QSPM analysis emphasizes maintaining internal strengths while optimizing performance to enhance competitiveness and promote sustainable business development. Although limited to a single case study, these findings serve as a strategic reference for similar MSMEs. Species diversity and size distribution of lift net catches in the coastal waters of Carocok Tarusan
Boat seine gear is a fishing gear is classified as a purse seine that has high productivity, resulting in a high composition of catches. The composition of fish species in the body of water is used to predict species diversity to show the number of individuals or different types of fish due to differences in size, shape, and quantity. In addition to diversity, size distribution also functions to show the growth rate of fish based on length frequency in a body of water. The purpose of this study was to analyze the diversity and size distribution of catches from boat seines in the Carocok Tarusan Coastal Waters. A survei method was used in this study. A purposive sampling method was used for the sampling. The study showed that the total catch of boat seine was 433.904 fish weighing 899,86 kg, which was divided into main catch (HTU) and bycatch (HTS). The number of HTU catches of payang was higher (92.51%) than that bycatch of 7,49%. The diversity index value in the Carocok Tarusan Coastal Waters was 0,37, the uniformity index was 0,12 and the dominance index was 0,86. It can be concluded that the results of the diversity and uniformity index are relatively low while the dominance index value is relatively high. KUALITAS LINGKUNGAN KERJA DAN TEKANAN PSIKOLOGIS SEBAGAI DETERMINAN EFISIENSI PELAYANAN PUBLIK: STUDI PADA DINAS PERDAGANGAN DAN PERINDUSTRIAN KABUPATEN GOWA
This study aims to determine the influence of Communication and Teamwork on Employee Performance at Almadera Hotel Makassar. This research used a quantitative approach with a sample about of 61 respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, documentation, and the distribution of questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression tests and hypothesis testing through the t-test. Based on the Communication variable, the calculated t-value is 4.466, which is greater than the t- table value of 2.002. In addition, the significance value (Sig.) of 0.000 is also smaller than 0.05. The Teamwork variable has a calculated t- value of 2.216, which is also greater than the t-table value of 2.002. Moreover, the significance value of 0.031 is less than 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that Communication and Teamwork have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. This study shows that overall, the Communication and Teamwork variables jointly contribute strongly to Employee Performance at Almadera Hotel Makassar.Keywords : Communication, Teamwork, Employee Performance
Enhancing Students’ Speaking Proficiency through Project-Based Learning and AI-Supported Tools (Orai App)
This study examines the effectiveness of integrating Project-Based Learning (PBL) with AI-supported tools, specifically the Orai application, to enhance students’ English-speaking proficiency. Conducted as a Classroom Action Research (CAR), the study involved two cycles, each including pre-tests and post-tests, assessed using the Speaking Rubric proposed by O'Malley and Pierce (1990). The participants were 25 first-semester students from the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) study program enrolled in the English 1 course at the Business Administration Department of Politeknik Negeri Medan during the 2025/2026 academic year. This study used a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data to provide a comprehensive analysis of the intervention. The quantitative data revealed significant improvements in students' speaking proficiency. The pre-test mean score was 75.28, and by the post-test, the average score had increased to 86.00, reflecting a 10.72-point improvement. Additionally, Cycle 1 indicates an average increase of 5.96 points (from 75.28 to 81.24), while Cycle 2 shows a further 2.6-point improvement (from 81.24 to 83.84). This demonstrates a consistent upward trend in students' speaking skills throughout the intervention. Meanwhile, qualitative data further supports these findings, highlighting increased confidence, engagement, and active participation among students, particularly in real-world tasks related to tourism and hospitality. However, the intervention also revealed areas for further refinement. There is a need for more personalized support from instructors to address individual learning challenges, and a wider range of topics to cater to students' diverse interests and career aspirations. The integration of AI tools supported students in practicing individually and fostered greater confidence and more active engagement in collaborative projects. The results suggest that applying PBL with AI-assisted applications is an effective instructional strategy to address speaking challenges in English language learning at the tertiary level
Artificial Intelligence: What Makes It Different for Language Learning? A Systematic Review
AI-based language equipment is now heavily used in English learning and teaching because it can offer personal, efficient and interactive educational experience. Therefore, this research aims to explore the advantages and disadvantages of AI in the field of language acquisition by reviewing the literature systematically. Thematic analysis of 22 studies between 2023 and 2025 were included. The results indicate that AI facilitates personalized learning and feedback, time efficiency, learning engagement, skill development, accessibility and teachers’ support. Nevertheless, the review of literature also uncovers a number of limitations including over-dependence on technology, transgressive environment which personifies with a lack in academic integrity and critical thinking, concerns related to data privacy, challenges of accuracy and reliability, pedagogical and technical issues, as well as cultural and language barriers. These findings underscore the need to consider the judicious and ethical use of AI to extend its utility in English language education
English Teacher’s Perceptions on Interactive Multimedia and Differentiated Learning in Banda Aceh
This study aims to analyze the perceptions of high school English teachers in Banda Aceh regarding interactive multimedia learning and differentiated instruction, using a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative data (questionnaires) and qualitative data (interviews) to explore teachers' perceptions, experiences, and challenges more comprehensively. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical and thematic analysis. A total of 40 high school English teachers, members of the English Language Educators in Aceh (ELEA) community, were selected as respondents using purposive sampling. The results indicate that teachers hold highly positive perceptions of interactive multimedia learning, particularly in terms of student motivation, creativity, and learning engagement. For differentiated instruction, teachers found this method effective in improving learning outcomes and task flexibility. Recommendations from the study include enhancing technological infrastructure, providing regular training, and fostering collaboration among teachers to optimize the implementation of both methods. These findings underscore the importance of technical support and professional development for teachers to maximize the impact of technology-based and differentiated learning in the classroom

Pemesanan jasa sewa melibatkan beberapa pihak dengan kesepakatan pembayaran untuk penyewaan properti. GOR PB. Tangkas Meulaboh, Aceh Barat, menyediakan fasilitas olahraga seperti futsal, bulu tangkis, dan voli. Namun, proses pemesanan lapangan bulu tangkis masih dilakukan secara manual, yang menghambat promosi, pengelolaan administrasi, dan pencatatan keuangan.Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem informasi berbasis web menggunakan metode waterfall, meliputi analisis, desain, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Sistem ini diharapkan mempermudah pemesanan, meningkatkan efisiensi manajemen data, dan memperbaiki layanan. Aplikasi Sentimen Analisis Masyarakat Pada Pengguna Media Sosial Terhadap Pengelolaan Sampah Di Banjarmasin Menggunakan Algoritma Naive Bayes
Penanggulangan masalah sampah di kota Banjarmasin menjadi tantangan yang semakin kompleks seiring dengan pertumbuhan populasi dan meningkatnya penggunaan media sosial sebagai platform untuk berbagi informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sentimen masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan sampah di Banjarmasin dengan memanfaatkan data dari pengguna media sosial. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis sentimen dengan algoritma Naïve Bayes, yang akan mengklasifikasikan opini masyarakat menjadi sentimen positif, negatif, atau netral. Data yang digunakan adalah komentar, postingan, dan interaksi pengguna di platform media sosial terkait topik pengelolaan sampah di Banjarmasin. Proses analisis dimulai dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik web scraping, diikuti dengan preprocessing untuk membersihkan dan mempersiapkan data. Selanjutnya, model Naïve Bayes akan memproses untuk mengidentifikasi pola sentimen berdasarkan teks yang tersedia. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan tentang pandangan masyarakat terhadap kebijakan dan praktik pengelolaan sampah di Banjarmasin, serta memberikan rekomendasi untuk perbaikan pengelolaan sampah berbasis masukan publik. INTEGRASI SAWIT DAN PETERNAKAN: ” SOLUSI MENIGKATKAN PENDAPATAN DAN MENGURANGI RESIKO BAGI PETANI SAWIT” KECAMATAN KAWAY XVI, ACEH BARAT
The monoculture oil palm cultivation system often leaves smallholder farmers vulnerable to fluctuations in Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices, high fertilizer costs, and weed problems. To address these challenges, the Cattle-Oil Palm Integration (SISKA) system is a promising innovative solution. This community service article aims to outline the potential, benefits, and risks faced by farmers in implementing an integrated oil palm and livestock system. By utilizing oil palm plantation waste as animal feed and livestock manure as organic fertilizer, this integration not only increases farmers' incomes from both sectors (oil palm and livestock) but also creates a more efficient and environmentally friendly sustainable agricultural system.
