Negative effects of obesity on kidneys

Irregular dietary habit, lack of sleep, and physical activity are the primary causes of obesity. It can be epidemiologically prevented by applying necessary strategies. Obesity primarily causes damage for all systems due to increased fatty tissue, or secondarily developing renal failure due to DM, HT, and metabolic syndrome. To overcome obesity, it is necessary to change dietary habits, ensure adequate sleep and adopt an active lifestyle. If efforts to eliminate the problem of obesity are organized with different strategies and action plans, this will be quite effective in the prevention of obesity and chronic kidney disease it causes. Health authorities should reach every segment of the society within the scope of preventive health services in order to inform and raise awareness of people on these issues and should have a conscious and willing effort to quickly implement effective and non-formal education activities, while it is very important that creating programs with supportive environments is among the targets

Sinemada yeni yaklaşımların oluşması, biçimsel açıdan yaşanan değişiklikler belgeseli de etkilemektedir. Çağdaş belgesel kuramcısı Bill Nichols, bu alanda yaptığı çalışmalar sonrasında belgeseli türlere ayırmıştır. Bunlar; açıklayıcı, gözlemci, dönüşlü, edimsel ve katılımcı biçemlerdir. Çalışmada, Nichols’un oluşturduğu belgesel türlerinden biri olan katılımcı biçemin özellikleri dikkate alınarak Inside the World’s Toughest Prisons (Dünyanın En Zorlu Hapishaneleri) programı ayrıntılı şekilde incelenmektedir. Katılımcı belgeselde olaylara katılım sağlanır, röportaj yapılır ve etkileşimin kurulması temel alınır. The emergence of new approaches to cinema and changes in form affect the documentary. Contemporary documentary theorist Bill Nichols has divided the documentary genres after his studies in this field. These; expository, observational, reflexive, performative and participatory modes. In the study, taking into consideration the characteristics of the participatory mode, which is one of the documentary types created by Nichols Inside the World’s Toughest Prisons program is examined in detail. Participation in the participatory documentary is ensured, interviews are made and interaction is based on. In the
participatory mode in which social problems are aimed to be examined, the presenter stands in front of the camera and provides a connection between the audience and the subjects. The Relationship between military expenditures and economic freedom in the Middle East and North Africa region
Get PDFThe relationship between military expenditures and economic growth has been widely studied in the literature. However, there are no studies focusing on the relationship between military expenditures and economic freedom in the literature. In countries with high levels of economic freedom, democratic regime transitions are more comfortable. Therefore, military expenditures are expected to decrease as potential internal turmoil, and external threats will be reduced in countries with high economic freedom. This study examines the relationship between military expenditures and economic freedom in 13 MENA countries (Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Turkey) during the period 1996-2018 by using panel data analysis. It was found that economic growth, tax burden, and trade freedom had a positive impact on military expenditures. It was also concluded that property rights, monetary freedom, government integrity, and investment freedom negatively affected military expenditures. Besides, it is understood that there is a bidirectional causal relationship between military expenditures and tax burden, property rights, monetary freedom, government integrity, investment freedom, and business freedom. On the other hand, there is a unidirectional causality relationship from economic growth to military expenditures and from military expenditures to trade freedom

K���kaltan, Derman (�zmir Kavram Meslek Y�ksekokulu)The 5-year survival rate of individuals diagnosed with breast cancer in early stages with early diagnosis and treatment in developed countries is determined to be approximately 91%. For this reason, the first target in preventing breast cancer; awareness of breast cancer risk factors, signs and symptoms should be increased. If individuals are taught exactly what are the changeable risk factors in breast cancer, the early stage is life-saving, and their vigilance about the signs and symptoms, it is thought that the incidence of breast cancer will be much lower. Another important issue is to raise awareness of women with first-degree relatives about breast cancer. The American Cancer Association recommends cancer screening guidelines for women whose first degree relatives have breast cancer. Thus, it is stated that breast cancer will be more limited and smaller in size and success in treatment will be higher by getting a diagnosis in the early period. It is thought that women who are treated should be informed about how they should continue their lives, measures to be taken to prevent metastasis, controls and issues to be considered during treatment. The Effect of religiosity on hedonic consumption and wasteful consumption behavior
Get PDFIntroduction: Religious beliefs are an important factor in people's attitudes, behaviors and consumption habits. Religious beliefs play a decisive role in other attitudes and behaviors, as they occupy a central position in human life. In this respect, religiosity emerges as an important variable in all attitudes and behaviors, including consumption behaviors.
Aim: The aim of the present study is to determine whether the effect of religiosity on hedonic consumption behavior, which expresses pleasure-oriented consumption behavior, and wasteful consumption behavior, which expresses waste-oriented consumption behavior, and whether hedonic consumption behavior has an effect on wasteful consumption behavior.
Method: For this purpose, convenience sampling method was chosen among the sampling methods and the data were collected with the online questionnaire form. During the data collection process, 490 participants were reached, but as a result of the removal of incorrect questionnaires, the data of 481 participants were included in the analysis. In the analysis of the obtained data, frequency analysis, factor analysis and Structural Equation Model analysis were performed by using SPSS 21 and AMOS 24 programs.
Findings: As a result of the study, it was determined that religiosity has a negative effect on hedonic consumption behavior and wasteful consumption behavior, while hedonic consumption behavior has a positive effect on wasteful consumption behavior

The coastal areas, where physical, economic, social and cultural focal points are mostly concentrated, would be affected by this change and have a risk of being submersed underwater. It is significant to evaluate risks, develop flexible and adaptive strategies that can increase the resilience of urban coastal areas to coastal hazards associated with sea level rise. will vary both physically, spatially and also functionally so it is requiring typological and also architectural analysis to understand which strategies are applicable where. It is thought that typological and architectural analysis of coastal areas in general scope, can help to develop new design approaches and steer urban design policy decisions in coastal cities. The intention of this study is to present information on a wide range of potential strategies, but also to help narrow the list of strategies to consider for a specific coastal typologies, and to lay out a general framework to determine which strategies can be applicable for suitable areas. In this study, different coastal area typologies and their futures such as building densities and land uses are presented to understand the nature and extent of risk from coastal hazards and what sort of strategies would be most effective in the long term

Benzer şekilde ruhsal ve duygusal alandaki dalgalanmalarda, fiziksel açıdan bireyde patolojik sorunlara yol açabilmektedir. Bu nedenle günümüzde hastalar sadece fizyolojik açıdan değil, kültürel, ekonomik, duygusal, manevi ve sosyal yönden de ele alınmaktadır. Hemşireler bireylerin/hastaların biyolojik, psikolojik, sosyal ve manevi durumlarına ve gereksinimlerine göre bakım vermeli ve onların manevi gereksinimlerini karşılamada aktif rol almalıdır. Kanser hastalarının tedavi sürecinde maneviyatın olumlu bir etkisi olmaktadır. Özellikle meme kanserli bireylerin tedavi süresince zor deneyimlerle baş edebilmeleri için desteklenmesinde hastalarla en sık iletişim içerisine giren ve bakımlarından sorumlu olan sağlık çalışanları arasında hemşirelere büyük sorumluluk düşmektedir. Hemşireler meme kanserli hastalara manevi destek verebilmek amacıyla; hastayı yaşama bağlayacak empati ve şefkati gösterebilmeli bunun için de öncelikle hastanın manevi öyküsünü öğrenmelidir. Hemşirelerin hastalara manevi destek sağlayabilmeleri için maneviyat konusu ve önemi hakkında farkındalık kazanmaları çok önemlidir. Bu bilgilerden yola çıkarak hazırlanan derlemede; meme kanserli bireylerde manevi bakımda hemşirelere düzen görevlerin neler olduğu ve manevi bakımın meme kanserli hastalar üzerindeki etkisi literatür bilgilerinden yararlanılarak açıklanmıştır.A physically developing disease brings along social and psychological problems. Similarly, fluctuations in the mental and emotional field can lead to physical pathological problems in the individual. Therefore, patients are not only treated physiologically but also culturally, economically, emotionally, spiritually and socially. Nurses should provide care according to the biological, psychological, social and spiritual conditions and needs of individuals/patients and take an active role in meeting their spiritual needs. Spirituality has a positive effect on the treatment of cancer patients. Nurses have a great responsibility among the healthcare professionals who are in contact with the patients and who are responsible for their care, especially in supporting breast cancer individuals to cope with difficult experiences during the treatment. In order to provide moral support to breast cancer patients, nurses; show empathy and compassion that will connect the patient to life, and therefore must first learn the patient's spiritual history. It is very important for nurses to gain awareness of the spiritual issue and its importance in order to provide patients with moral support. In the review prepared based on this information; What are the regular duties for nurses in breast cancer individuals and the effects of spiritual care on breast cancer patients are explained by using the literature
