    Grammatical competence of prelingual hearing impairment persons

    Temeljni problem osoba oštećena sluha jest razina njihove ovladanosti jezičnom kompetencijom, uz koju se usko vezuju razine pismenosti i obrazovanosti koje one postižu (Pribanić, 2007: 61). Cilj je ovoga rada analizirati pitanje razine ovladanosti gramatičkom kompetencijom osoba s prelingvalnim oštećenjem sluha u hrvatskome jeziku u svjetlu dosadašnjih istraživanja u tome području. Iz razmatranja mogućih usmjerenja rehabilitacije slušanja i govora, s osobitim naglaskom na poučavanje gramatike, proizlaze i moguće smjernice za daljnja istraživanja u navedenome području. Rezultati istraživanja gramatičke kompetencije pokazuju kako se kod većine osoba s prelingvalnim oštećenjem sluha u hrvatskome jeziku bilježi niska razina ovladanosti gramatičkom kompetencijom. Potencijalna usmjerenja rehabilitacije slušanja i govora osoba s prelingvalnim oštećenjem sluha u području poučavanja gramatike odnose se na elemente poput povećanja udjela vježbi usmjerenih razvoju kapaciteta kratkoročnog pamćenja te vježbi gramatike u okviru rečenice i diskursa, kao i uključivanja učenika oštećena sluha u redovne škole. Uz njegovu pomoćnu ulogu u auditivnoj percepciji govorne poruke, razmatra se potencijal vizualnog modaliteta (očitavanje govora) kao sredstva poučavanja gramatike u okviru rehabilitacije slušanja i govora. Navedeni zaključci mogu poslužiti kao poticaj u planiranju rehabilitacijskih programa za osobe s prelingvalnim oštećenjem sluha, ali i za buduća istraživanja kojih u ovome području nedvojbeno nedostaje.The fundamental issue that persons with hearing impairment face is their level of linguistic proficiency, which is closely connected to the level of achieved literacy and education (Pribanić, 2007: 61). The aim of this paper is to analyze the level of grammatical competence in Croatian language exhibited by persons with prelingual hearing impairment in light of the previous research done in this area. Possible guidelines for further research in said area stem from the consideration of feasible orientation for listening and speaking rehabilitation, with particular emphasis on teaching grammar. The results of grammatical competence research show that the majority of persons with prelingual hearing impairment exhibit a low level of grammatical proficiency in Croatian language. The potential orientation for listening and speaking rehabilitation of persons with prelingual hearing impairment within the domain of grammar teaching refers to facets such as increasing the share of exercises aimed at the development of short-term memory capacity and grammar exercises within the context of sentence and discourse, as well as the inclusion of students with hearing impairment in regular schools. Other than being employed as an auxiliary modality to the auditory perception of the spoken message, the potential of the visual modality (lipreading) is taken into consideration as a means of teaching grammar within the framework of listening and speaking rehabilitation. The aforementioned conclusions can serve as a motivation in planning rehabilitation programmes for persons with prelingual hearing impairment, as well as an encouragement for future research which is undoubtedly lacking in this area

    The use of Microsoft 365 in teaching

    Ovaj se diplomski rad bavi istraživanjem učestalosti upotrebe Microsoft 365 alata u nastavi Informatike, ali i u drugim nastavnim predmetima (Hrvatski jezik, Engleski jezik, Njemački jezik i Matematika) u srednjim strukovnim školama i gimnazijama u Republici Hrvatskoj. U uvodnome dijelu rada daje se pregled reforme obrazovanja uz primjere projekata Škola za život, e-Škole i Modularna nastava. Zatim se u teorijskim okvirima obrađuje pojam informacijsko-komunikacijske tehnologije (IKT), od njenog razvoja do suvremene upotrebe u nastavnom procesu. Uz to je objašnjena digitalna kompetencija te zašto ju je važno razvijati i na koje načine se to provodi. Posebno se razdjeljuju digitalne kompetencije učenika i nastavnika. Nakon toga se definira paket Microsoft 365 uz opise mogućnosti svih alata unutar paketa (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, Viva Engage, Sway, Class Notebook, Forms, Planner, Teams, i Copilot). Nakon toga slijedi pregled dosadašnjih istraživanja o upotrebi paketa u nastavnim predmetima Informatika, Hrvatski jezik, Matematika, Engleski i Njemački jezik. U sklopu rada provedeno je i anketno istraživanje kojim su se ispitali nastavnici srednjih strukovnih škola i gimnazija o njihovoj upotrebi alata Microsoft 365 paketa. Dobiveni su podaci uspoređeni i statistički obrađeni.This thesis explores the frequency of use of Microsoft 365 in teaching Informatics, as well as other school subjects (Croatian, English, German, and Mathematics) in vocational secondary schools and gymnasium schools in the Republic of Croatia. The introductory part of the paper provides an overview of the education reform with examples of projects such as Skola za zivot, e-Skole, and Modular Teaching. The theoretical framework then covers the concept of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), from its development to its modern use in the teaching process. Additionally, digital competence is explained – why it is important to develop it, and how it is implemented. A distinction is made between students' and teachers' digital competences. The paper then defines the Microsoft 365 suite, along with descriptions of the capabilities of all the included tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, Viva Engage, Sway, Class Notebook, Forms, Planner, Teams, and Copilot). This is followed by a review of previous research on the use of the suite in teaching Informatics, Croatian, Mathematics, English, and German. As part of the thesis, a survey was conducted among teachers in vocational secondary schools and gymnasium schools regarding their use of Microsoft 365 tools.     Literary Field in Transition: The Rise and Fall of Nordic Noir

    Ovaj rad analizira razvoj i transformacije nordijskog noira u kontekstu norveškog i šireg skandinavskog književnog polja. Polazište čine teorijski okvir Raymonda Williamsa i Pierrea Bourdieua, osobito pojmovi emergentne, dominantne i rezidualne faze kulture te književnog polja kako ga definira Bourdieu. Kroz povijesni i društveni kontekst uspona skandinavskog kriminalističkog romana pokazuje se kako je žanr, u početku emergentan i kontrakulturan, postupno stekao simbolički kapital te zauzeo središnju poziciju u književnom polju, destabilizirajući granice između visoke i popularne književnosti. Analiziraju se društveni, politički i ekonomski uvjeti koji su pogodovali njegovu boomu, kao i kasniji procesi automatizacije i komercijalizacije koji dovode do rezidualne faze žanra. Posebna se pažnja posvećuje „sivoj zoni“ žanra, gdje se križaju heteronomna i autonomna logika književnog polja, čime krimić zadobiva ambivalentan, ali utjecajan status. U završnom dijelu rada razmatra se uspon novih književnih struja u Norveškoj, ponajprije stvarnosne proze i multikulturalnih glasova, koji nastupaju na mjestu oslabljenog kritičkog potencijala nordijskog noira. Rad pokazuje kako popularne književne forme ne samo da reflektiraju društvene okolnosti, nego aktivno sudjeluju u njihovom preoblikovanju, ostavljajući trajnu ostavštinu u književnom polju.This thesis analyses the development and transformations of Nordic noir within the context of the Norwegian and wider Scandinavian literary field. The theoretical framework draws from Raymond Williams and Pierre Bourdieu, with particular attention to Williams' concepts of emergent, dominant and residual phases of culture, and Bourdieu's notion of the literary field. By situating the rise of the Scandinavian crime novel within its historical and social context, the study shows how the genre, initially emergent and countercultural, gradually accumulated symbolic capital and came to occupy a central position in the literary field, destabilizing the boundaries between high and popular literature. The thesis examines the social, political, and economic conditions that enabled its boom, as well as the subsequent processes of automatization and commercialization that led to the genre's residual phase. Special attention is given to the „grey zone“ of the genre, where heteronomous and autonomous logics of the literary field intersect, granting crime fiction an ambivalent yet influential status. In its final part, the thesis considers the rise of new literary currents in Norway, particularly reality literature (autofiction) and multicultural voices, which have emerged in the space left by the diminished critical potential of Nordic noir. The study demonstrates that popular literary forms not only reflect social circumstances but also actively participate in their reconfiguration, leaving a lasting legacy within the literary field

    Illegal collections of scientific texts on the Internet

    Znanstveno je izdavaštvo dugo vremena nametalo visoke cijene pretplata na svoje časopise. Kao način borbe protiv visokih cijena, na internetu se pojavio otvoreni pristup koji omogućuje besplatan, legalan i slobodan pristup znanstvenim tekstovima. No, na internetu su se pojavile i ilegalne zbirke s raznolikim kolekcijama znanstvenih tekstova, a njihovo je stvaranje i distribuiranje danas sve rasprostranjenije i jednostavnije. Ključan problem kod ovakvih ilegalnih zbirka znanstvenih tekstova na internetu je što njihovo bespravno postojanje krši autorsko pravo te tako nanose štetu autorima i njihovim nakladnicima. U radu se raspravlja o uzrocima popularnosti ovakvih ilegalnih zbirki, među kojima su često visoke cijene fizičkih i digitalnih primjeraka u pristupu s plaćanjem te manjak pristupa znanstvenim radovima i knjigama općenito u određenim dijelovima svijeta. Uz uzroke ilegalnog korištenja, važno je razumjeti dugoročne negativne posljedice do kojih dovodi te promicati svijest o šteti koju takve aktivnosti mogu izazvati za autore, nakladnike i šire društvo. Među posljedicama su uskraćivanje zarade autorima i nakladnicima, smanjenje potražnja za legalnim primjercima te kršenje autorskog prava. Rad razmatra otvoren pristup i autorsko pravo, početke i razvoj ilegalnih zbirki znanstvenih tekstova te njihovo trenutačno stanje kao i kršenju autorskog prava.For a long time, scientific publishing has imposed high subscription prices for its journals. As a way to combat these high prices, open access has emerged on the Internet, providing free, legal and unrestricted access to scientific texts. However, diverse illegal collections of scientific texts have also appeared on the Internet, and their creation and distribution have become increasingly widespread and simple. The key issue with such illegal collections of scientific texts on the Internet is that their unauthorized existence violates copyright laws and thus causes harm to authors and their publishers. This paper discusses the reasons behind the popularity of such illegal collections of scientific texts, which often include the high prices of both physical and digital copies in paid access models and the lack of access to books and scientific works in certain parts of the world. In addition to the causes of illegal use, it is important to understand the long-term negative consequences it leads to and to raise awareness about the harm that such practices can inflict on authors, publishers, and society at large. These consequences include the loss of income for authors and publishers, a decrease in demand for legal copies, and copyright infringement. This paper discusses open access and copyright, the origins and development of illegal collections of scientific texts, along with their current state, as well as the issues surrounding copyright infringement

    Educational interventions of the school library in encouraging reading among children and young people - an example of creative reading rooms

    Rad se bavi obrazovnim intervencijama školskih knjižnica u poticanju čitanja kod djece i mladih, s naglaskom na stvaralačke čitaonice kao inovativan model knjižnične prakse. U teorijskom dijelu rada definira se uloga i funkcija školske knjižnice u suvremenom obrazovnom sustavu, uključujući pravni okvir, zadaće knjižnice te profesionalnu ulogu školskog knjižničara. Posebna pozornost posvećena je obrazovnim intervencijama koje knjižnica provodi u suradnji s nastavnicima, a koje su usmjerene na razvoj čitateljskih navika, kreativnosti i kritičkog mišljenja učenika. Kao središnji primjer navodi se model stvaralačkih čitaonica, koji kroz aktivnosti poput crtanja i kreativnog pisanja omogućuje učenicima da na maštovit i interaktivan način dožive književna djela. U empirijskom dijelu rada prikazani su rezultati istraživanja provedenog među učenicima osnovne škole, koji ispituju učinke takvih aktivnosti na motivaciju za čitanje i razvijanje izražajnih vještina. Rezultati upućuju na pozitivan utjecaj stvaralačkih čitaonica na čitateljski interes i angažman djece, kao i na važnost knjižničara u procesu poticanja čitalačke kulture.The paper deals with educational interventions of school libraries in encouraging reading among children and young people, with an emphasis on creative reading rooms as an innovative model of library practice. The theoretical part of the paper defines the role and function of the school library in the modern education system, including the legal framework, library tasks and the professional role of the school librarian. Special attention is paid to educational interventions that the library implements in cooperation with teachers, which are aimed at developing reading habits, creativity and critical thinking of students. The central example is the model of creative reading rooms, which, through activities such as drawing and creative writing, allows students to experience literary works in an imaginative and interactive way. The empirical part of the paper presents the results of a study conducted among elementary school students, examining the effects of such activities on motivation for reading and the development of expressive skills. The results indicate the positive impact of creative reading rooms on children's reading interest and engagement, as well as the importance of librarians in the process of encouraging a reading culture

    Realization of Refugee Students’ Participatory Rights in Primary School: Teachers’ Perspectives

    Ovaj rad donosi rezultate kvalitativnog istraživanja usmjerenog na razumijevanje perspektiva nastavnika o ostvarivanju participativnih prava učenika izbjeglica u osnovnim školama Grada Zagreba. Istraživanje je provedeno putem polustrukturiranih intervjua s jedanaest nastavnika koji su podijelili svoja iskustva, opažanja i izazove u radu s učenicima izbjegličkog porijekla. Nastavnici su iznosili vlastita shvaćanja participativnih prava, oblike sudjelovanja učenika, prepreke s kojima se susreću te pedagoške strategije koje koriste za poticanje aktivne participacije. Također su istaknuli potrebe u svakodnevnom radu koje smatraju ključnima za ostvarivanje participativnih prava učenika izbjeglica. Na temelju odgovora dobivenih u ovom istraživanju mogu se identificirati učinkovite strategije i pedagoške prakse koje doprinose inkluziji i participaciji učenika izbjeglica u svim aspektima školskog života. Ti nalazi mogu poslužiti kao vrijedan resurs budućim odgojno-obrazovnim djelatnicima i kreatorima obrazovnih politika koji prepoznaju važnost aktivnog uključivanja učenika u oblikovanje vlastitog obrazovnog iskustva.This paper presents the findings of a qualitative study aimed at understanding teachers’ perspectives on the realization of refugee students’ participatory rights in primary schools in the City of Zagreb. The research was conducted through semi-structured interviews with eleven teachers who shared their experiences, observations and challenges in working with refugee-background students. Teachers articulated their understanding of participatory rights, the forms of student involvement, the obstacles they encounter, and the pedagogical strategies they employ to foster active participation. They also highlighted the everyday professional needs they consider essential for supporting the participatory rights of refugee students. Based on the collected responses, the study identifies effective strategies and pedagogical practices that contribute to the inclusion and participation of refugee students in all aspects of school life. These findings may serve as a valuable resource for future educators and policy makers who recognize the importance of actively involving students in shaping their educational experience

    A case study of lexical access efficiency in an Arabic-English-Croatian trilingual

    In the globalized world, marked by language group intermixing, speakers of multiple languages are a widespread phenomenon. This research deals with how one such person accesses their lexical entries, consisting of meanings corresponding to words, in their multilingual mental lexicon. This case study examines the efficiency of lexical access in a speaker of English, Croatian and Arabic, who is named Ruby for the purpose of this research. The thesis aims to test if the Weaker Links hypothesis (Gollan et al. 2008) applies to the trilingual’s receptive vocabulary performance in English and Croatian. In accordance with that, the study’s hypothesis was that Ruby would perform better in the language she used more out of the two – English. The participant’s frequency of language usage was investigated through a questionnaire. Then she took two visual picture-vocabulary tests, which were partly identical to those used by Zovko Dinković and Šojer (2012): the first in English and the second in Croatian. Immediately after that, her performance was discussed in a retrospective interview. Although Ruby accomplished equal results on both tests, she was more successful on the English test, based on her interview statements. They revealed that only a small portion of her correct responses on the Croatian test represented efficient lexical access to Croatian test words in her mental lexicon. Ruby’s arguments for choosing many other correct responses on both tests showed, among other things, her reduced lexical access and her misunderstanding of test words. As predicted, the trilingual’s lexical access was more efficient in the language that she used more. The results are quite specific and can hardly be generalized. Nevertheless, they coincided with Zovko Dinković and Šojer’s (2012) findings, which were obtained from testing bilinguals’ reception of spoken language with largely identical materials. In this manner, their results may be extended to a trilingual case, tested in a different modality

    The rhetorical profile of Viktor Orbán

    Politička retorika predstavlja jedno od najdinamičnijih područja unutar društvenih znanosti. Istraživanja retorike imaju ključnu ulogu u razumijevanju načina na koji se prenose ideje i na koje se oblikuje društvo, omogućuju dublji uvid u procese javnog govora i konstruiranja značenja u različitim kontekstima. Govornička kompetencija od iznimne je važnosti za političare pošto se kroz retoriku ne prenose samo politički programi, nego se uz to izgrađuje kredibilitet i odnos s biračima. Razumijevanje političke retorike doprinosi razvoju demokratske kulture, jačanju medijske pismenosti i poticanju kritičkog načina razmišljanja. Pomaže i u prepoznavanju manipulativnih taktika, smicalica i populističkih obrazaca, kojih je sve više u javnom diskursu. Upravo je zato vrijedno analizirati lidere čija je moć uvelike oblikovana i podržana specifičnim retoričkim strategijama. Jedan od takvih lidera je mađarski premijer Viktor Orbán, dugogodišnji čelnik stranke Fidesz. Ističe se kao jedan od najboljih i najistaknutijih govornika u Mađarskoj te kao jedna od najkontroverznijih političkih figura u Europi. Njegova sposobnost formuliranja jednostavnih, emocionalno nabijenih i jasno usmjerenih iskaza ključna je za njegovu političku učinkovitost i dugovječnost na vlasti. Ne ističe se samo po sadržaju svojih poruka, kao što su antimigracijska politika, naglašavanje suverenitete i obrana nacionalnog identiteta, već i po načinu na koje ih oblikuje i izvodi. Cilj ovog rada je pružiti cjeloviti uvid u retoričke specifičnosti Viktor Orbána primjenom deskriptivne retoričke analize s fokusom na tri retorička kanona: inventio (sadržaj i strategije argumentacije), elocutio (stil i jezično izražavanje) te actio (izvedba). Analizom njegovih govora (predizborni govor iz 2018., govor nakon pobjede na izborima 2022., intervju iz 2022. te govor o stanju nacije iz 2025.) može se zaključiti kako premijer u svojim govorima preuzima ulogu predstavnika naroda, a njegova stranka i sam Orbán preuzimaju ulogu obrambenog zida nacionalnog identiteta od brojnih vanjskih prijetnji. Štite narod od elita, Brisela, migranata i ostalih prijetnji. Koristi brojne populističke elemente, kao što je polarizacija, kako bi uspostavio jasnu dihotomiju između „nas” i „njih”. Opreka je između Mađara, tradicionalnih vrijednosti, domovine i prijetnji (migranti, elite, EU, Soros). Premijer se u velikoj mjeri oslanja na emocionalne apele, osobitno na apel na strah i apel na ponos. Za mobilizaciju stvara osjećaj zajedništva, no i stalnu atmosferu stalne prijetnje i osjećaja opasnosti, koja mu omogućuje pozivanja na kolektivnu akciju. Govori su obilježeni temama unutarnjih i vanjskih neprijatelja, zaštite tradicionalnih i kršćanskih vrijednosti, važnosti obitelji i domoljublja, povijesnih narativa. Ove teme uključuje na razne načine, često korištenjem raznih stilskih figura. Govori su oblikovani razgovornim, jednostavnim jezikom, čime se predstavlja kao običan čovjek, dio naroda. Istovremeno, njegova govorna izvedba djeluje prirodno, ali profesionalno, time projicira sliku odlučnog i snažnog vođe. Potvrđeno je kako je politički uspjeh povezan s retorikom.Political rhetoric represents one of the most dynamic fields within the social sciences. Rhetorical studies play a key role in understanding how ideas are communicated and how society is shaped; they offer deeper insight into the processes of public speaking and the construction of meaning across various contexts. Oratorical competence is of great importance for politicians, as rhetoric is not only used to convey political agendas, but also to build credibility and a relationship with voters. Understanding political rhetoric contributes to the development of democratic culture, the strengthening of media literacy, and the encouragement of critical thinking. It also aids in recognizing manipulative tactics, tricks, and populist patterns, which are increasingly present in public discourse. This is precisely why it is valuable to analyze leaders whose power is largely shaped and sustained by specific rhetorical strategies. One such leader is Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the long-time head of the Fidesz party. He stands out as one of the most skilled and prominent speakers in Hungary and as one of the most controversial political figures in Europe. His ability to formulate simple, emotionally charged, and clearly targeted statements is crucial to his political effectiveness and longevity in power. He is distinguished not only by the content of his messages—such as anti-immigration policies, the emphasis on sovereignty, and the defense of national identity—but also by the way in which he crafts and delivers them. The aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive insight into the rhetorical specificities of Viktor Orbán through the application of descriptive rhetorical analysis, focusing on three rhetorical canons: inventio (content and argumentation strategies), elocutio (style and linguistic expression), and actio (delivery). An analysis of his speeches (the 2018 campaign speech, the 2022 post-election victory speech, a 2022 interview, and the 2025 State of the Nation address) reveals that the Prime Minister assumes the role of the people's representative, while his party and Orbán himself take on the role of a defensive wall protecting national identity from numerous external threats. They portray themselves as protectors of the people against elites, Brussels, migrants, and other perceived dangers. He employs numerous populist elements, such as polarization, to establish a clear dichotomy between “us” and “them.” The contrast lies between Hungarians, traditional values, and the homeland on one side, and threats—such as migrants, elites, the EU, and George Soros—on the other. The Prime Minister heavily relies on emotional appeals, particularly appeals to fear and pride. To mobilize his audience, he creates a sense of unity, but also maintains a constant atmosphere of threat and danger, which enables him to call for collective action. His speeches are marked by themes of internal and external enemies, the defense of traditional and Christian values, the importance of family and patriotism, and historical narratives. These themes are incorporated in various ways, often through the use of rhetorical figures. The speeches are crafted in a conversational, simple language, allowing him to present himself as an ordinary man, one of the people. At the same time, his delivery appears natural yet professional, projecting the image of a determined and strong leader. It has been confirmed that political success is linked to rhetoric

    Multimedia learning: cognitive and emotional design in digital tools

    Ubrzani tehnološki razvoj donosi promjene u načinu na koji učimo i poučavamo, pri čemu multimedijski sadržaji igraju sve važniju ulogu u obrazovanju. Cilj ovog rada je analizirati utjecaj multimedijskih tehnologija na proces učenja, s posebnim naglaskom na teoriju multimedijskog učenja psihologa Richarda E. Mayera. Kroz spoj tekstualnih, vizualnih i zvučnih elemenata, multimedij bi trebao omogućiti bolje razumijevanje i zadržavanje informacija, povećavati motivaciju učenika te poticati proces učenja. Teorijski dio rada temelji se na Mayerovim načelima koji uvažavaju kognitivno opterećenje, dualnu obradu i aktivno učenje, kao i na konceptu emocionalnog dizajna, koji naglašava važnost pozitivnih emocija za uspješnije usvajanje znanja. Estetski privlačan i emocionalno angažiran sadržaj poboljšava pažnju, interes i spremnost za učenje. U praktičnom dijelu analiziraju se alati poput CARNetovog e-Laboratorija, ICT-AAC aplikacija, Canve i Kahoot!-a, koji omogućuju nastavnicima jednostavnu izradu multimedijskih materijala i interaktivnu nastavu. Uz to, primjena emocionalnog dizajna vidljiva je u alatima poput Canve (vizualno privlačni predlošci) i Kahoot!-a (boje, glazba, gamifikacija). Zaključak ukazuje na to da multimedijsko učenje obogaćuje nastavni proces. Integracija kognitivnog i emocionalnog dizajna osigurava učinkovit, angažiran i dugoročno održiv obrazovni pristup.The rapid development of technology has brought about changes in the way we learn and teach, with multimedia content playing an increasingly important role in education. This paper aims to analyze the impact of multimedia technologies on the learning process, with a particular focus on the multimedia learning theory developed by psychologist Richard E. Mayer. By combining textual, visual, and auditory elements, multimedia should enable better understanding and retention of information, increase student motivation, and enhance the learning process. The theoretical part of the paper is based on Mayer's principles, which take into account cognitive load, dual processing, and active learning, as well as the concept of emotional design, which emphasizes the importance of positive emotions for more effective knowledge acquisition. Aesthetically appealing and emotionally engaging content improves attention, interest, and willingness to learn. The practical part analyzes tools such as CARNet's e-Laboratory, ICT-AAC applications, Canva and Kahoot!, which allow teachers to easily create multimedia materials and conduct interactive lessons. Furthermore, the application of emotional design is evident in tools such as Canva (visually appealing templates) and Kahoot! (colors, music, gamification). The conclusion highlights that multimedia learning enriches the teaching process. The integration of cognitive and emotional design ensures an effective, engaging, and sustainable educational approach

    Rad se bavi analizom grupija u rock kulturi šezdesetih i sedamdesetih godina 20. stoljeća, kroz dva reprezentativna medijska prikaza – popularni roman Groupie, autora Jenny Fabian i Johnnyja Byrnea te film Korak do slave redatelja Camerona Crowea. U radu se razmatra društveni i kulturni kontekst predmetnog razdoblja te relevantne teorijske smjernice koje pomažu definirati marginaliziran položaj žena općenito, a posebice grupija u odnosu na muške rock glazbenike. Posebna pozornost posvećuje se pojavi termina „grupi“ te njegovim definicijama i značenjskim pomacima kroz vrijeme, ovisno o društvenim kontekstima i medijskim narativima. U analizi se grupije razmatra kao posebnu supkulturu unutar šireg okvira rock kulture, s naglaskom na njihove specifične karakteristike poput odnosa prema glazbi, unutarnjoj društvenoj hijerarhiji i slično. Uvidom u medijske prikaze grupija određene su se karakteristike potvrdile, poneke opovrgnule, a definicije nadopunile. Cilj je rada predstaviti uravnotežen pregled različitih pristupa fenomenu grupija u kojem se istodobno predstavljaju kritike, ali se i priznaje supkulturu kao vrijednosnu komponentu rock kulture koja je zaslužna za njezin uzlet prema popularnom glazbenom izrazu i životnom stilu.This thesis analyses the figure of the groupie in 1960s and 1970s rock culture, with an emphasis on two representative examples in media – the popular novel Groupie by Jenny Fabian and Johnny Byrne, and the movie Almost Famous by director Cameron Crowe. The paper provides social and cultural context for the period at hand, as well as a relevant theoretical framework which aids the process of defining the marginalised position of women in general, and especially groupies among male rock musicians. Special emphasis is put on the first appearance of the word “groupie” and its various definitions and semantic changes based on social context and media narratives. In the analysis, groupies are considered as an independent subculture placed in the wider network of rock culture. As a subculture, they have specific characteristics when it comes to their relationship with music, inner social hierarchy, and so on. By looking at media representations of groupies, certain traits have been confirmed, others denied, and definitions completed. The aim of the thesis is to present a balanced view of different approaches towards the groupie phenomenon, showing critiques as well as giving credit to the subculture for being a valuable component of rock culture, responsible for rock’s ascent to the popular musical expression and lifestyle it is known as today
