Repressentation of masculinity in Bilge Olgac cinema
In the study titled "Representations of Masculinity in Bilge Olgaç Cinema", firstly, the terms of sex and gender were analyzed and it was stated that these concepts were constructed with social institutions and cultural representations. In this context, the concept of masculinity is handled and explained. We can say that representations of masculinity are similarly constructed by the social structure in a historical context. R. W. Connel's concept of Hegemonic Masculinity and Pierre Bourdieu's Masculine Domination concepts are used to refer to the representations of masculinity in Turkish society. The historical development of cinema is examined, and the representations of masculinity in Hollywood Cinema and Turkish Cinema are discussed from a feminist perspective. In this context, it is aimed to examine the representations of masculinity in Bilge Olgaç cinema within the scope of Feminist cinema theory. Bilge Olgaç has been able to make a presence in Turkish cinema, which is a male-dominated field, and is referred to as the female director who directs the most films. In this context, Bilge Olgaç's female director identity has gained importance. The fact that she brought masculinity practices to the screen as a female director in a male-dominated field has made her cinema important. From this point of view, 4 films directed by her were analyzed. Üçünüzü de Mıhlarım (1965), Linç (1970), Gülüşan (1985), İpekçe (1987) were evaluated in the context of feminist cinema theory. We can divide Bilge Olgaç's cinema into two periods. From 1960 to 1980, he directed his films in the context of the masculine camera in general. In the period after 1980, the identity of a female director came to the forefront and we can say that she directed films more in line with the feminist cinema approach
Investigating the opinions attributed to Imam Shafi in the book of Ibn Hazm's Al Muhalla (An example marriage, talaq, khul)
Ibn Hazm who died in 456 year of Hegira is the scholar enabling the Zahiri madhhab live on until the modern days. The most important work of the scholar in islamic jurisprudence is Al Muhalla bil Asar. Ibn Hazm touched upon the opinions of other four madhhabs and İmâms of madhhabs whose opinions did not live on in addition to Zahiri Madhhab's opinions in his work. In this work Ibn Hazm's opinions regarding marriage, talaq and khul in the book titled Al Muhalla, attributed to Imam Shafi are confirmed and investigated from the resources of Shafi school of thought. Our work encompasses two parts. In the first part the life, teachers, students and books of Ibn Hazm were reviewed and information about Al Muhalla, was included. In the second part we identified seventy-seven opinions attributed to Imam Shafi in the subjects of marriage, talaq, khul in the book Ibn Hazm's Al Muhalla. Those opinions were investigated. We concluded that sixty-seven of those opinions were correctly, on the other hand ten of them were wrongly conveyed
Factors influencing adaptation of innovations in small ruminant production in the TRC3 Region in Turkey
This study investigated the socio-economic factors affecting the adoption of innovation in small ruminant production in TRC3 region in Turkey. Stratified random sampling technique was used to select 366 small ruminant farmers from the region. Semi-structured questionnaire was used to collect main data for the study. Data collected were analyzed using descritive statistics, t-tests and multiple linear regression analysis. Results of the study showed that the farmers had a mean age of 45,8 years and 97,0% were male. Traditional production was dominant among the small ruminant producers and as the number of animal increases the income increases (p< 0,01). Out of twelve independent variables, eight of them were statistically significant on multiple linear regression analysis. The F-statistics was statistically significant at 1% level on communication behavior and animal health practices; 5% level on age, breeding reasons, milking way, produced products and fold type. The coefficient of multiple determination (R2) value was estimated to be 0,470 this implies that 47,0% of total variation in the output of small ruminant production was accounted for by the independent variables that were fitted into the model. The main problems of small ruminant production were high feed prices, high deaths of lamps/goat, insufficient use of pastures because of security problems and lack of shepherd due to young people unwillingness to live in rural areas. This project has been supported by Cukurova University.

Evaluation of the Serological, Biochemical and Hemogram Parameters of Patients Prediagnosed with Hydatid Cyst
Objective: Hydatid cyst or echinococcosis is a zoonotic parasitic disease caused by the larval stages of Echinococcus granulosus, which is common in our country. It is necessary to use radiological and serological methods as diagnosing this disease based on clinical symptoms is very difficult. In this retrospective study, it was aimed to determine the condition in our region by retrospectively analyzing the hemogram, biochemistry, radiological and pathological findings and the epidemiological data of the patients prediagnosed with hydatid cyst.
Materials and Methods: A total of 412 patients, 279 female and 133 male, who applied to various clinics of the Mardin State Hospital with hydatid cyst prediagnosis. 52 patients were diagnosed with hydatid cyst based on ultrasonography, computerized tomography and radiological findings, and liver involvement was detected in all 64 patients, 12 of which were pathologically verified.
Results: 38 (59.3%) of 64 patients included in the study were female, 26 (40.6%) were male and their ages ranged from 0-77. The most common symptoms were severe abdominal pain, distention, chest pain, shortness of breath,
415
cough, fever, nausea and vomiting. 83.4% of the patients applied to the general surgery, 5.5% applied to the pediatric surgery and 10.1% applied to other clinics.
Conclusion: The parameter with the highest increase was GGT, followed by ALT, AST and ALP. Elevated RDW (29%) was the most common finding in the hemogram parameters, followed by decreased MCV, hematocrit and hemoglobin
Effects of different nitrogen doses on thymoquinone and fatty acid composition in seed oil of black cumin (Nigella sativa L.)
Black cumin,Nigella sativaL. belonging to Ranunculaceae, is a valuablemedicinal plant because of the curative effects of seed and oil. Despite studieson black cumin, there are few studies on the effects of nitrogen on fatty acidcomposition, no records on thymoquinone yield, and the thymoquinone contentof the seed oil. In this study, the effects of different nitrogen doses on the seedoil yield, thymoquinone ratio/yield, and fatty acid compositions were investi-gated. Field studies with nitrogen doses (0, 40, 60, 80, and 100 kg/ha) werestudied using the randomized plot design. As a result of the research, nitrogendoses significantly affected the oil and thymoquinone yields while insignificanton the thymoquinone ratio. The highest oil yield with 501.6 kg/ha was obtainedfrom 80 kg/ha of the nitrogen doses, while the highest thymoquinone yield with10.24 kg/ha was obtained from the control plots. Thymoquinone yields were inthe same statistical group with other nitrogen doses, except for means of100 kg/ha nitrogen doses. Linoleic, oleic, and palmitic acids were major fattyacids of black cumin, and their variations were insignificant in nitrogen applica-tions. The values of butyric, capric, and linolenic acids varied significantly in dif-ferent nitrogen doses. As a result of the study, it was determined that thehighest oil yield was obtained from 80 kg/ha nitrogen application. It has beendetermined that nitrogen doses above 60–80 kg/ha should be avoided for theseed oil and thymoquinone yields in black cumin
DEMETER KÜLTÜ IŞIĞINDA ELEUSİS MİSTERLERİ
The ground, known as the eternal power source of fertility, is the godmother
and mother earth. As the Hellenic belief personified the gods, the ground allowed
the emergence of Demeter. From the Olympus gods, the goddess Demeter is the
mother earth, the goddess of the cultivated land and fertility, the great goddess bringing
the seasons, nourishing the people, and sustaining life. She is a beautiful goddess
with blond hair and hazel eyes in Homer’s epics, while, in Hesiod’s poems, she is
Kronos and Rheia’s daughter and Zeus’s sister. She is mentioned with her daughter,
and they are described as dual goddesses or goddesses. It is possible to encounter the
Demeter cult in almost every region where grain farming is carried out in continental
Greece. In this cult, the mythology of Persephone’s abduction by Hades forms the
goddess’s worship basis. The Demeter mythology, Persephone and Hades represent
the natural life cycle, the seasonal cycle and the death of the earth in winter and its
rebirth in spring. The mythology of the goddesses, the Demeter cult source and the
Eleusinian Mysteries, considered to have emerged from this mythology, was widely
practised. The religious ceremonies performed during the formation of Eleusinian
Mysteries were secret and completely interconnected. With these mysteries, people
approached death and life with different perspectives. That is, it made possible for
believers to have a more hopeful mood for the afterlife. This study aims to explain
the mythology of Persephone’s abduction by Hades, thought to be the basis of the
Demeter cult, the reasons for the creation of the Eleusinian Mysteries emerging from
this mythology, the ceremonial content, Demeter and Persephone’s duties in these
mysteries, and the reasons for Persephopne’s intermediary role between the earth
and the underworld
Experimental and theoretical study on hydrogen production by using Ag nanoparticle‐decorated graphite/Ni cathode
In this study, graphite (G) electrode was coated with nickel and decorated with
silver nanoparticles (G/Ni/Ag) with the help of galvanostatic method, and electrodes were used as a cathode in alkaline water electrolysis system. The characterization was achieved using X-ray diffraction and field emission scanning
electron microscopy. Hydrogen evolution performance of electrodes was investigated via cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, cathodic polarization curves, and electrochemical impedance measurements. Electrochemical results
showed that hydrogen production efficiency significantly increased and charge
transfer resistance decreased via G/Ni/Ag. The electrochemical water splitting
performance of G/Ni/Ag, was established in a joint experimental and computational effort. Water and proton adsorption on Ag-decorated Ni surface were
investigated using density functional theory. Electronic structure calculations
identified the role of Ag adatom and Ni surface on water and proton adsorptions. From the computational studies, O in water was more reliable to adsorb
at the bridge position of the Ag and Ni atoms, leading improved orbital overlap
between H and Ni atoms and maximized chemical and physical interactions
between the H2O molecules. Therefore, the Ag-decorated Ni(111) surface provides preferable adsorption site for the O atom in water and direct interactions
between water Hs and available surface Ni atoms promote water dissociation

Electrocatalysis property of CuZn electrode with Pt and Ru decoration
Electrocatalysis properties strongly depend on the interaction of metallic particles and this
interaction enables to change the electronic structure of alloys which enhances the catalytic activity. This property is the key factor in the developing of cost-effective and efficient
Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER) electrocatalysts for sustainable hydrogen production.
In this study, novel electrocatalysts which are decorated with Pt and Ru have been
developed for HER electrocatalysis. Microscopic analysis such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force
microscopy (AFM) are performed to determine the morphological and compositional
structures. Electrocatalysis properties are evaluated by cathodic current-potential curves,
electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 1.0 M KOH
solution. Chronoamperometry (CA) and cycle tests are used for stability/durability of
electrocatalysts. Results show that a small onset potential of the porous Cu/Ni/CuZnePt is
obtained for HER. Exchange current density and polarization resistance are found to be
5.39 mA cm2 and 2.0 U cm2 at overpotential of 100 mV for porous Cu/Ni/CuZnePt,
respectively, indicating that Cu/Ni/CuZnePt is higher electrocatalytic properties than the others. Moreover, very low overpotentials at 10 and 40 mA cm2 are obtained on porous Cu/
Ni/CuZnePt compared with porous Cu/Ni/CuZneRu and Cu/Ni/CuZn. Porous Cu/Ni/CuZn
ePt also displays excellent stability/durability in test solution. The remarkable electrocatalysis properties of porous Cu/Ni/CuZnePt can be explained due to high porous structure, leaching of Zn from the deposit, intrinsic activity of Pt as well as changing in the
electronic structure. It should be considered that porous Cu/Ni/CuZnePt is of high corrosion resistance in test solution for 120 h, which makes it good candidate for HER
