    Kajian Pengawasan Unit Apron Movement Control terhadap Pemenuhan Standar Operasional Prosedur pada Area Apron di Bandar Udara Kalimarau Berau

    This research evaluates how effectively the Apron Movement Control (AMC) Unit oversees adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding ground handling operations and the use of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at Kalimarau Airport. The study stems from frequent violations occurring in the apron area, which pose potential threats to aviation safety, with the goal of strengthening safety culture in airside operations. Using a qualitative method, data were obtained through field observations, comprehensive interviews, and document analysis. The study focused on identifying recurring violations and assessing the current supervision system, with PR 21 Year 2023 serving as the primary guideline. Findings reveal that AMC's oversight is still lacking, as shown by common breaches such as GSE operating over speed limits, parking equipment outside designated zones, unauthorized aircraft run-up activities, and failure to wear personal protective equipment (PPE). To overcome these problems, the study proposes improved surveillance using CCTV and GPS tracking, ongoing personnel training, and the implementation of a structured reward and sanction system to promote SOP adherence within the apron environment

    in today's digital era, the role of information technology is crucial in supporting performance and public services, including in the air transportation sector. An airport’s official website serves as a strategic medium for providing accurate, fast, and easily accessible information for service users, particularly passengers. As a primary gateway for public mobility, airports are required to present relevant and up-to-date information.This research aims to: (i) identify the website features used to provide passenger information services at Kalimarau Airport, and (ii) determine what additional features could be incorporated to further develop passenger information services at Kalimarau Airport.This study employs a qualitative descriptive analysis technique, presenting the results systematically to provide a clear overview. Interviews were also conducted with the public relations staff of Kalimarau Airport. The data for this research were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The object of this study is the Kalimarau Airport website.The results show that the features currently available on the Kalimarau Airport website do not yet fully meet the information needs expected by passengers. Further development is needed, including the addition of key features such as a lost and found information service, as well as the provision of scannable barcodes to facilitate quick access to various necessary information for users.The conclusion of this research is that the development and addition of features on the Kalimarau Airport website are essential to improving the quality of information services for passengers. Ultimately, this is expected to enhance the overall passenger experience and comfort while at the airport

Interpersonal communication is part of many of communication because of its spontaneous nature and immediate feedback. Interpersonal communication can be done both face-to-face and through the media, and both often unconsciously affect various aspects of life, including in a professional setting, Within the framework of an organization, such as in the workplace, interpersonal communication requires a process to achieve the desired performance. Effective interpersonal communication can convey information quickly and provide clearer ideas, which is very important in a work environment. This Research seeks to examine the impact of interpersonal communication on employee effectiveness at the Record Center of the South Sumatra Provincial Parliament Office. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, which explains The impact of interpersonal communication employee effectiveness in the unit. The outcome of the study show that interpersonal communication plays a crucial a role in improving work performance, as it allows for effective information exchange, builds good working relationships, and creates a harmonious work environment. Through good communication, employees can more easily understand tasks, receive feedback, and resolve conflicts quickly, which ultimately increases individual and team motivation, collaboration, and productivity.&nbsp

    OPTIMASI ALGORITMA RANDOM FOREST MENGGUNAKAN PSO UNTUK KLASIFIKASI KANKER PAYUDARA DENGAN CITRA MAMMOGRAMS

    This research focuses on improving breast cancer classification through a combination of Random Forest and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithms. Being the most common cancer among women worldwide, breast cancer requires an effective diagnostic screening method. Traditional methods such as manual examination and X-ray imaging are time-consuming and prone to errors. This research applies machine learning techniques, specifically Random Forest, for image classification based on mammograms. The methodology involves data collection, image preprocessing (including image resize, grayscale, and image segmentation using Sobel Edge Detection and Adaptive Thresholding), feature extraction via Local Binary Pattern (LBP), and classification via Random Forest optimized with PSO. PSO helps to identify the optimal hyperparameters and improves the accuracy of the Random Forest model. Model evaluation is done using confusion matrix which includes accuracy, precision, and recall values. The testing experiment showed that the PSO-optimized Random Forest model achieved an accuracy of 88.37%, outperforming the standard Random Forest model which achieved 86.05%. This shows that PSO significantly improves classification accuracy. This research contributes to the development of an easy-to-use diagnostic tool to assist specialists in accurately identifying breast cancer stages, and suggests future investigations should incorporate additional machine learning algorithms and utilize higher-standard DICOM images to improve training and testing data.Penelitian ini berfokus pada peningkatan klasifikasi kanker payudara melalui kombinasi algoritma Random Forest dan Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). Kanker payudara menjadi kanker yang paling umum di kalangan wanita di seluruh dunia, sehingga memerlukan metode pemeriksaan diagnostik yang efektif. Metode tradisional seperti pemeriksaan manual dan pencitraan sinar-X memakan waktu dan rentan terhadap kesalahan. Penelitian ini menerapkan teknik pembelajaran mesin, khususnya Random Forest, untuk klasifikasi gambar berdasarkan citra mammograms. Metodologi ini melibatkan pengumpulan data, preprocessing citra (termasuk resize citra, grayscale, dan segmentasi gambar menggunakan Sobel Edge Detection dan Adaptive Thresholding), ekstraksi fitur melalui Local Binary Pattern (LBP), dan klasifikasi melalui Random Forest yang dioptimalkan dengan PSO. PSO membantu dalam mengidentifikasi hiperparameter optimal dan meningkatkan akurasi model Random Forest. Evaluasi model dilakukan menggunakan confusion matrix yang meliputi nilai akurasi, presisi, dan recall. Percobaan pengujian menunjukkan bahwa model Random Forest yang dioptimalkan PSO mencapai akurasi 88, 37%, mengungguli model Random Forest standar yang mencapai 86,05%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa PSO meningkatkan akurasi klasifikasi secara signifikan. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan alat diagnostik yang mudah digunakan untuk membantu spesialis dalam mengidentifikasi stadium kanker payudara secara akurat, dan menyarankan penyelidikan masa depan harus menggabungkan algoritma pembelajaran mesin tambahan dan memanfaatkan citra DICOM berstandar lebih tinggi untuk meningkatkan data pelatihan dan pengujian

    The air conditioning system on the Boeing 737-900 ER plays a crucial role in maintaining passenger and cabin crew comfort. However, a decrease in the system’s effectiveness has led to discomfort during flights. This study aims to identify the factors causing the decline in the air conditioning system’s effectiveness and provide technical recommendations to enhance its performance. The research method used is Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with a Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) approach. The findings indicate that the primary causes of decreased AC system effectiveness are blockages in the heat exchanger due to debris accumulation and oil contamination, as well as damage to the Air Cycle Machine (ACM), including worn-out turbine blades and bearings. To address these issues, preventive maintenance procedures, routine inspections, and the use of an air conditioning cart while the aircraft is on the ground are recommended to maintain cabin comfort.Sistem pendingin udara pada Boeing 737-900 ER memainkan peran penting dalam menjaga kenyamanan penumpang dan awak kabin. Namun, penurunan efektivitas sistem telah menyebabkan ketidaknyamanan selama penerbangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab penurunan efektivitas sistem AC dan memberikan rekomendasi teknis untuk meningkatkan kinerjanya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Root Cause Analysis (RCA) dengan pendekatan Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).     Comparative Study of Dangerous Goods Handling in Airlines Operating at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport

    This paper investigates the handling of dangerous goods on flights that often occur. Security problems at the airport can be seen from the many incidents that disrupt flight activities to and from the airport. Each airline has its own standard operating procedure (SOP). In this study, the differences in SOPs between two airlines - namely Citilink Indonesia and Lion Air - at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport will be studied, especially in terms of handling dangerous goods. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, because the description of the data is expressed in the form of words. The data collected will be reduced and presented, then conclusions will be drawn from the presentation of the data. The results show that handling dangerous goods certainly has a very high risk, therefore airport officers need to carry out their duties according to SOP. Each officer must be supervised in working, where training in the involvement of handling dangerous goods on aircraft is the main requirement beforehand

    Analisis Pengaruh Penggunaan Teknologi Sistem Informasi ICAP terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Kantor Otoritas Bandar Udara Wilayah X Merauke

    This research aims to analyze the effect of using the ICAP information system technology on employee performance at the Office of Airport Authority Region X Merauke. In this era of technological advancement, the use of information systems is an essential element in improving organizational performance. The research uses a quantitative descriptive approach, involving the distribution of questionnaires to 50 employees who use the ICAP system. Data analysis was carried out through instrument testing, classical assumption tests, and simple linear regression analysis using SPSS software. The results showed that the use of the ICAP information system technology had a significant positive effect on employee performance, with a contribution value of 60.9%, while the remaining 39.9% was influenced by other factors outside the research. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) theory supports this finding, stating that the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of technology positively affect user acceptance and performance. This study recommends that continuous training and evaluation of the ICAP system be conducted to optimize employee competence and system effectiveness. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of information technology implementation strategies in government institutions, especially in the aviation sector

    Following the early March strict lockdown rules in Europe, we are now gradually moving towards more lenient rules, in which responsibility of individuals is required. Many of the rules are conditional on sustaining low pressure on the healthcare, and can be retracted whenever the national healthcare is (again) reaching its max capacity. Interestingly, these guidelines remain very abstract. For example, the Dutch government has changed the lockdown to “stay at home as much as you can” (Rijksoverheid, 2020). One of the most complex guidelines is “avoid crowds, leave whenever it becomes difficult to maintain 1.5 meter distance.”. The complexity lies in the fact that this creates a conflict between the individual and social decision making, in behavioural science known as the common pool resource dilemma. For instance, the beach on a hot day just last week is best to avoid to ensure no crowds, but as long as individuals expect the population to adhere to this reasoning, it is individually better to go to the beach. Indeed, at the first opportunity, this conflict manifests (“Veiligheidsberaad: ‘Niet allemaal dezelfde plek opzoeken,’” 2020). Persistence of this conflict can escalate to a general breach of the guideline by the whole population (described as ‘tragedy of the commons’). In this situation, however, the breach might not because of ill will, but because of failing to understand the individual thought-process. Guidelines should be tailored to this interpretation and understanding of the population in order to increase adherence to the guidelines, and reach the main goal
