Attitudes of university students towards institution of a marriage

    No full text
Until recently, marriage was the only socially acceptable community of two partners of different gender, with the goal of creating a family and prolonging the human race. The aim of this paper is to examine the attitudes of University students towards marriage and family. The research was based on the survey regarding the attitudes of students from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia towards institution of marriage. Collected data were analysed by using the SPSS statistical software. The main results indicate that 93.8% of respondents want to get married one day; an ideal number of children for a family to have been two (48.4%); 54.6% of respondents strongly agreed that if being in a marriage does not work properly, they should divorce. The results of these analyses and their limitations suggest guiding a future research according to different attitudes of respondents. This research provides the most ambitious and systematic analysis to date the attitudinal evidence on the attitudes of family, future children, and divorce among University students

Towards an Integrative Framework of Relationship Quality in a Retail Setting: Evidence from an Emerging Economy

    Get PDF
This study aims to propose and empirically examine a relationship quality model in a grocery retail setting in Serbia. Motivation: Whereas relationship quality has been extensively studied in B2B settings and in developed economies, far less research attention has been devoted to the formation and effects of relationship quality in B2C exchange relations in developing economies. This especially holds true for Eastern Eupean emerging economies and the present research aims to fill this gap. Idea: Building upon previous research in service settings, this study proposes customer orientation as an antecedent to relationship quality, comprising relationship satisfaction, customer trust and commitment to a retailer, and attitudinal and behavioural loyalty as consequences of relationship quality. Data: The study has been performed on a convenience sample of 453 grocery retail customers in Serbia, by means of structured questionnaire. Tools: Upon supporting constructs’ validity, structural equation modelling (SEM) has been applied to examine the proposed relationships. Findings: The results of the study indicate significant direct impact of employees’ customer orientation on trust and relationship satisfaction. Commitment to a retailer and relationship satisfaction emerged as direct antecedents to attitudinal and behavioural loyalty, whereas trust emerged as an indirect determinant of loyalty constructs. In terms of total effect, relationship satisfaction emerged as the most influential determinant of both facets of customer loyalty. Contribution: The findings of the study which indicate significant indirect contribution of front-line employees’ customer orientation to attitudinal and behavioural loyalty of customers provide valuable insights for HR management of retail enterprises. In addition, by addressing relationship quality construct and its antecedents and effects in a B2C setting in thus far largely under-studied context, such as an emerging European economy, this study’s findings add to the growing body of knowledge on Relationship Marketing

    Get PDF
Nowadays, there is an increasing number of international students interested in studying in Serbia. More precisely, ever since the World in Serbia project was first launched in 2010, the number of international beneficiaries of scholarships has been a continuous increase but so far, no research of this population has been done. Results from the past, as well as the launching of the World in Serbia study programme, have inspired us to choose temporary migration of international beneficiaries of student scholarships in Serbia in the 21st century as the subject of our research. The purpose of this paper is to define the profile of international beneficiaries of student scholarships, whose education is funded by the Government of the Republic of Serbia funds, but also to establish motivation that led these students to their decision to study in Serbia. For this reason, we have conducted the research on the basis of a survey, on a sample of 126 international beneficiaries of student scholarships

Hate speech vs.politically correct speech: Casual-consequential relationships

    Get PDF
The paper considers hate speech and politically correct speech as two extremes in social relations. Shaping of human consciousness depends on basic human feelings of love and hate whose denoting, understanding and interpretation is acquired through socialization. This process of shaping is determined by using the words and language in formation of terms and speech. The interiorization of socially allowed ways of using language controls social relations, and enables potential forms of manipulation and expression of power towards others or different people. The purpose of the paper is to shed light on the causal-consequential relationships between these two social phenomena. In the conclusion, we will point out insights on how hate speech and politically correct speech are used as antipodes to cover up the ideological nature of social system

Obavezna vakcinacija protiv COVID-19 iz perspektive ljudskih prava

    Get PDF

Perspectives of Legal and Bioethical Considerations from the Standpoint of Medical Law

    Get PDF
An important subject of bioethical and legal considerations is the relations and manifestations of what happens in current biomedical practice regarding the practice of activities and the provision of health care services. This is particularly important when it comes to disagreements, collisions, and conflicting rules, the ethical and legal origins of different norms, and medical decision making. An appropriate analytical and methodological approach through interpretation and comparison is needed to uncover shortcomings that often remain on the surface, invisible, due to the lack of dialogue. This paper aims to shed light on the fundamentals of bioethical principles on the one hand and the legal-logical system of norms in biomedicine on the other. The conclusion emphasises the elimination of the contradictory elements of the relationship and the affirmation of helpful and complementary aspects with the opening of parallel perspectives and intersections in the service of promoting the legality of the work, the development of good medical practice and respect for human rights in the field of health
