ARTSNS: A Dual Approach to Content Licensing and Field-Based A&R in the Documentation of Electronic Music Production
ARTSNS is a documentary series that goes behind the scenes to uncover the untold stories, techniques, and creative processes behind electronic music tracks, before they’re released. Through in-depth interviews and immersive filming, the series sheds light on the transformative journey of music production. The concept stemmed from a single question: Who are the true artisans of music? The answer led directly to the producers, those who shape sound in studios and home setups alike. ARTSNS opens a peephole into this hidden world, capturing the earliest stages of a track’s life, from raw idea to polished piece. To bring ARTSNS to life, it was crucial to establish a non-exclusive content license agreement covering the master recordings and compositions featured, alongside a synchronization license to include the tracks in the episodes.https://remix.berklee.edu/graduate-studies-global-entertainment-business/1404/thumbnail.jp
Global Pulse
Global Pulse is a five-track debut EP by Zach Scheffler that weaves Neo Soul/R&B, experimental electronic, rock, and 1970s influences into a unified musical statement. Scheffler integrates field recordings and modular synthesis with creative vocal processing, evolving wavetable textures, and modern amp emulations to forge distinctive sonic landscapes. Through structured collaboration, iterative revision, and disciplined project management, he maintains stylistic cohesion across a concise runtime. Global Pulse not only highlights Scheffler’s multi-genre vision and innovative production approach but also provides a clear, adaptable framework for artists aiming to blend experimental sound design with contemporary songwriting.https://remix.berklee.edu/graduate-studies-production-technology/1432/thumbnail.jp
Blooming: Writing \u27\u27The Garden Grows in Both Directions, into tomorrow and yesterday\u27\u27
This document serves as the journal of a composer seeking to share her thoughts, discoveries, personal growth, blooming and artistic development throughout her experience in the Master of Music in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games at Berklee Valencia (2024–2025). Its primary purpose is to document the creative process and provide a theoretical musical analysis behind the composition of the orchestral piece “The Garden Grows in Both Directions… Into Tomorrow and Yesterday.” The discussion encompasses the relationship between music and the dramatic arc derived from the spotting process based on the narrative that inspired the piece, as well as its recording at AIR Studios, and the overall impact of the experience on the composer’s sense of identity and practice.https://remix.berklee.edu/graduate-studies-scoring/1319/thumbnail.jp
Il-Baħħar tal-Lejl
This paper explores my creative and practical journey behind the composition of Il-Baħħar tal-Lejl, an original orchestral piece written and produced as the culminating project for the Scoring for Film, TV and Videogames master’s program at Berklee Valencia. Il-Baħħar tal-Lejl serves as the soundtrack for a short documentary about the Maltese seas, created by Maltese filmmaker Bradley Farrugia. This paper examines the entire process of the project, from its initial conceptualization and collaboration to the compositional techniques and orchestration for a 50+ piece orchestra. It also explores the preparation necessary to ensure a smooth recording session at the iconic AIR Studios in London, the recording itself, the subsequent mixing and mastering stages, and concludes with a reflection on the overall process, the challenges encountered, and the learning curve associated with working in such a high-pressure professional recording environment. The knowledge acquired throughout this one-year master’s program was essential at every stage of this project, as documented in this thesis. The invaluable experience of composing, conducting, and producing a three-minute piece for orchestra and electronics stands as a culmination of the skills and e]ort developed over the past year. This project marks a significant milestone in my development, both as a composer and an individual.https://remix.berklee.edu/graduate-studies-scoring/1310/thumbnail.jp
DREAMER
Dreamer; a nebulous word that even a galaxy\u27s worth of poetry could never fully define, representing hope in the vision of a reality that has not yet come to be. Our dreams dictate the trajectory of our lives, our ability to find meaning, and reflect the things that we value. An often overlooked aspect is that our dreams are always connected to the work that we do, whether those dreams are guiding our work or are reflective of our fear to dream, work communicates something about the direction we hope to go in, and work is the process in which dreams become reality. It is often when our dreams and work are not aligned that we struggle with a meaning crisis. That is what this project aims to explore; the intersection between work and dreams within reality. The exploration of this word starts from the student\u27s first person embodied experience of an attempt to pursue the student\u27s dreams within the Capitalistic system that is found within North America. The student is able to use his personal experience to connect it with the greater issues found within our culture today regarding work, meaning, dreams, and play.https://remix.berklee.edu/graduate-studies-cmat/1148/thumbnail.jp

Inspired by the 2019 College Admission Scandal, ADMISSION follows Gabi, a washed-up sitcom star who will stop at nothing to reclaim her fame. the exit
Tasio is a British songwriter, producer and artist. In his time at BerkleeNYC he has developed the 7 track EP project, “the exit”. The themes of the project touch on identity, relationships and self-reflection. This project is in the synth-pop genre and is a coming of age story. The project was made along the course of the artist’s time at BerkleeNYC and was completely self written and produced by Tasio. His distinct unique cohesive sound is categorised by driving beats, honest songwriting, and distinct vocal delivery. A proposed unique marketing technique for the EP involves a guerrilla marketing campaign through the distribution of merch items with Tasio’s brand logo and with a QR code in the tag to subliminally percolate through people’s wardrobes and also generate further intrigue into the artist behind the merch and the music accessed through the QR codes.https://remix.berklee.edu/graduate-studies-cmat/1128/thumbnail.jp
Haiti, and the sense of being!
This project, Haiti, and the Sense of Being, explores Haitian identity through the intersection of music and traditional cuisine. By composing five original pieces inspired by iconic Haitian dishes like Soup Joumou, Dlo Fre, Pikliz, Fresko ak Pistach, and Legim.I used food as a metaphor to address themes of freedom, struggle, resilience, and unity. Initially intended as a celebration of culture, the project organically evolved into a deeper reflection on social injustices and historical memory, connecting musical storytelling with lived experience. Drawing from compositional techniques learned at Berklee Global Jazz Institute and rooted in Haitian rhythms, each piece fuses traditional and contemporary styles in ways that express complex narratives. Through this process, I not only embraced my cultural roots but discovered music’s power to inspire awareness and healing. The overwhelmingly positive response revealed the potential of the project to spark dialogue across generations. Looking ahead, I plan to expand this work into an immersive concert-album experience and cultural outreach tour. This project redefined my approach to music-making, affirming its role as a vessel for truth, identity, and transformation.https://remix.berklee.edu/graduate-studies-global-jazz/1182/thumbnail.jp
Business Plan and Customer Insight Report ArtsConnect: Where Creativity Meets Opportunity
This Cumulating Experience develops a customer insight report and strategic business case designed for graduate students and professionals studying music business, entrepreneurship, or creative industries management. Using the case of ArtsConnect, a career development platform for creative students, this report applies market research and product testing insights to analyze a startup’s pivot from a dual-sided B2C/B2B model to a focused B2B approach (change mainly found in customer insight report). Founded in 2023, ArtsConnect initially targeted both individual creatives and institutions but faced challenges with monetizing emerging talent and sustaining engagement. Through in-depth focus groups, college administrator interviews, and investor conversations conducted during the Berklee Valencia Master’s program, the project identified clear needs for creative-specific career tools at the institutional level. The resulting strategic refocus leverages colleges as buyers and students as end-users, supported by data-driven feature development and pilot partnership plans. This case explores how aligning product-market fit with institutional pain points can transform a passion-driven project into a scalable business, and outlines actionable steps for validating new models in the education technology space.https://remix.berklee.edu/graduate-studies-global-entertainment-business/1412/thumbnail.jp
Business Plan: STUDIO CUPID
This project presents a business plan for STU.PID, a branded livestreaming platform built to support emerging global artists by connecting them with Gen Z audiences, especially Third Culture Kids (TCKs) through casual and real-time content. The idea was to offer something different from traditional artist promotion by focusing on unscripted formats that show the creative process as it really is. Content included livestreamed interviews (STU.TALKS), collaborative music making (THE COOK-UP), and on the ground segments (STU.PID IN PUBLIC), all designed to bring artists and fans closer together. The platform emphasized strong visual identity and consistent content across Twitch and Instagram. While the audience response was encouraging, the original monetization plan using Twitch subscriptions did not prove effective. Feedback suggested that brand partnerships and artist campaigns may be a more sustainable path forward. The project clarified key strengths in creative direction, live content production, and digital strategy. It also demonstrated that there is long-term potential for STU.PID to grow either as its own platform or as a creative service for artists, labels, and partners in the music industry.https://remix.berklee.edu/graduate-studies-global-entertainment-business/1421/thumbnail.jp
