    The Stunting Situation Analysis in Papua Province

    Background: Stunting is a national issue that affects the quality of Indonesian and Papuan human resources since it raises the risk of disease, mortality, and impediments to children\u27s physical and mental development. Stunting reduction necessitates a thorough situational analysis, which serves as the foundation for excellent planning. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to identify, evaluate, and investigate existing data based on trends and patterns of the problem of high stunting prevalence, as well as to investigate policy efforts, innovations, and obstacles in responding to stunting problems in Papua Province. Methods: This study is descriptive and takes a cross-sectional method. Sample: All stunting risk data from 2018 to 2022. Document observation and source triangulation are data collecting strategies. The research take place in Papua Province from April to May 2022, using data analysis approaches including descriptive statistics of ratios, rates, and proportions, tree analysis, and priority determination using the Bryant method.  Result: The low prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding among children aged 6 to 23 months (39.4 percent). Early breastfeeding start is low (42.3 percent ). The high number of children under the age of five who had ARI (33.3 percent), diarrhea (7.5 percent), and helminthiasis (7.3 percent), measles (4.7 percent). The low number of households with access to basic sanitation (57 percent), families without a fixed income (21.08 percent), Papua Province\u27s poverty rate is 27.53 percent, and the proportion of couples of reproductive age (PUS) with four children is still too high. In Papua, 19 districts (65%) are classified as highly vulnerable. Papua has the lowest Human Development Index (60.84 points) of the 34 provinces

    Forecasting the Production of Thai Pepper and Chili Pepper in Garut Indonesia Based on Fuzzy Time Series and X-13 ARIMA-SEATS Methods

    Time series data is a series of data  measured over a certain period of time based on fixed time intervals divided into seasonal and non-seasonal time series data. Anomaly observation that can affect the consistency of time series data are known as outliers. Outliers are often found in data that is influenced by weather, one of which is the production data of thai pepper and chili pepper that is one of the important types of vegetables that are cultivated commercially in tropical countries, Indonesia. A robust forecasting method against outliers is required in this case. The computational method developed at this time is the Fuzzy Time Series (FTS) method with the Fuzzy K-Medoids (FKM) clustering algorithm that can handle data that contains outliers. In addition, the X-13 ARIMA-SEATS method is a seasonal adjustment method that automatically detects and solves the problem of outliers and overcomes the effects of moving holiday. This study aims to forecast the monthly thai pepper and chili pepper production using both non-linear and linear methods. The result showed that FTS – FKM method give the best accuracy with smallest value of RMSE and MAPE in short forecasting period, otherwise X-13 ARIMA-SEATS give its best performance in long forecasting period

    Cooperation Attitude Control as a Part of Spacecraft Formation Flying

    Cooperative and coordination control for Autonomous Multi-Agent Systems (AMAS) are gaining more popularity and interest in many areas of aerospace engineering, such as air-traffic control, swarming satellites, launch/reentry-vehicle systems, and Formation Flying (FF). There are many advantages of cooperative control of autonomous FF of multiple small aerospace vehicles to replace a single large vehicle, such as increasing feasibility, reducing cost, probability of success, and significantly widening the operating area. For example, a group of cooperative Earth Observation radar satellites can enhance the overall resolution by observing backscattered signals from different angles compared to one giant costly satellite observing from one angle. Aerospace FF applications include distributed antennas, atmospheric sampling, and synthetic aperture radars. Besides, it is appealing to have robust and optimal control for space manufacturing and servicing. The Nano/microsatellites market is expected to grow as more companies develop smaller, cheaper launch vehicles.     ANN-Based Failure Modeling of T-56 Engine Turbines

    The T-56 turboprop engine is one of the most widely used in military transportation aircraft. It operates virtually everywhere, from the arctic circle to the Sahara. Operation in desert conditions, however, presents a challenge for maintenance engineers regarding preventive maintenance scheduling. Erosion caused by sand particles drastically decreases turbine blades life. Recent studies showed that Artificial Neural Network ANN algorithms have much better capability at modeling reliability and predicting failure than conventional algorithms. In this study, more than thirty years of local operational field data were used for failure rate prediction and validation using several algorithms. These include Weibull regression modeling to establish a reference, feed-forward back-propagation ANN, and radial basis neural network algorithm. Comparison between the three methods is carried out. Results show that the failure rate predicted by both the feed-forward back-propagation artificial neural network model and radial basis neural network model are closer to actual failure data than the failure rate predicted by the Weibull model. The results also give an insight into the reliability of the engine turbine under actual operating conditions, which can be used by aircraft operators for assessing system and component failures and customizing the maintenance programs recommended by the manufacturer

    Composite Based on Chitosan and Graphene Oxide

    Graphene oxide (GO) and composites based on it are promising candidates for the implementation of the process of purification from polluting ions of heavy metals and organic compounds in waste and industrial waters. However, the limitations of the use of GO for water treatment are associated with the difficulties of its regeneration and extraction from aqueous solutions due to high hydrophobicity and dispersibility. We have synthesized graphene oxide by the modified Hammer method, which allows further functionalization. To improve the method of wastewater treatment, we obtained a new GO/chitosan nanocomposite by covalent and non-covalent grafting of chitosan to GO, so in the case of a covalent bond, we used thionyl chloride with further sonification of the mixture. Characterization and study of the morphology of the obtained graphene oxide by IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and TEM analysis, which confirmed the possibility of the crosslinking reaction of GO and chitosan through the carbonyl and epoxy groups of GO located on the surface of the graphene oxide layer, which were obtained in large quantities due to the fact that we modified the method obtaining graphene oxide. The synthesized composites were tested as filters for cleaning the waters of the Caspian Sea, which is prone to oil pollution due to its proximity to the oil sector, and the amount of heavy metals is also increased in these waters

    High Incidence of Forest Fires and Preventive Measures in Cocoa Research Institute Plantations Ibadan, Oyo State

    This study was carried out to ascertain the high incidence of forest fire and its preventive measures in Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria(CRIN) plantations Ibadan, Oyo state. Fire is used as work tool by rural population, it serves as land clearing method for agricultural land, flushes management for livestock, wastes disposal, honey gathering, animal tracking and hunting. A multistage sampling approach was used to select 120 respondents. Data were collected using interview schedule on socioeconomics characteristics, perceived causes of forest fire, effect of forest fire and preventive measures to forest fire. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistic. The result revealed that the mean age was 44.9 years and majority (72.7%) were male, 83.0% of them were married. Also a very good number of respondents (97.7%) has various level of education. Bush burning to eradicate weed as a perceived cause of forest fire was ranked 1st with the mean value of 1.36. Destruction of CRIN mandate crops parent materials as the effect of forest fire was ranked 1st with the mean value of 1.42 and controlled bush burning was ranked 1st with mean value of 1.64 among the preventive measure of forest fire. It was revealed that significant relationships were observed between sex (?2= 6.000, p = 0.014), Religion (?2= 8.693, p= 0.013) on the preventive measures of forest in CRIN plantations

    Adsorption of Cadmium and Nickel from Aqueous Solution Using Chitosan and Chemically Modified Chitosan

    Chitosan was produced by complete deacetylation of chitin from crustacean shells (snail shell). ForrierTransfomInfra-Red Spectroscopy(FTIR) analysis of the unmodified chitosan and Acetic anhydride chitosan were carried out. The FTIR spectrum of unmodified chitosan has strong peaks observed at 3640.58cm-1 and the chemically modified acetic anhydride chitosan at 3278.44cm-1. The two products: chitosan and Acetic Anhydride chitosan were applied for the adsorption of cadmium and Nickel from aqueous solution using a UV-visible Spectrophotometer (model JENWAY 6320D) and their percentage sorption was compared. It was observed that the modified chitosan with Acetic Anhydride, showed good ability for metal ion uptake.The amount Cadmium and Nickel absorbed was found to increase with time.Results also indicate that the adsorption capacity of metal ion increased with temperature. The high percentage adsorptions of the materials are due to the additional functional groups present in the samples. It took about 120 minutes for acetic anhydride modified chitosan to reach equilibrium at which a higher percentage sorption (86.50%) was obtained, while unmodified chitosan gave (82.50%)

This study investigates the design of commercial signage systems based on the cultural history of Xi\u27an Midtown, as well as relevant literature and field visits to Xi\u27an Midtown. Finally, this study provides some insightful recommendations in the expectation that they would serve as a point of reference for the further development of the sign guiding system design in the Xi\u27an landscape renewal project

    Effects of the Sargassum Sp Enrichment Time on Post-Larvae White Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei)

    Sargassum sp has been applied in aquaculture and has shown promising results; however, the application in shrimp larvae through artemia bio-encapsulation and the length of Artemia enrichment is still unknown. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Sargassum sp and its duration of enrichment on Artemia sp on the survival, growth, and immunity of white-leg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) post-larvae. This study was an experimental study using a completely randomized design (CRD). The treatment was the duration of Artemia enrichment in Sargassum sp crude extract fed to vaname shrimp post larvae, namely: an enrichment time of 30 minutes (A), an enrichment time of 60 minutes (B), an enrichment time of 90 minutes (C), and without Sargassum sp extract (control) (D). The test animals were 1,440 PL1 stage white-leg shrimp (L. vannamei), stocked into 12 jars, each containing 2 L of water with a density of 60 shrimp/L (120 shrimp/jar). Daily feeding was carried out twice with Artemia sp and 4 times with flour feed, reared for 20 days. An environmental stress test was then carried out at a pH of 5 on the 20th day and the shrimp were observed 24 hours after the stress test. Observation parameters consisted of larvae survival, growth, and immunity. The results showed that the bio-enrichment of Artemia sp with Sargassum sp extract could improve the growth performance, survival, and hematology of white-leg shrimp after being reared for 20 days. Similarly, the environmental stress testing at a pH of 5 showed that the shrimp larvae had high survival rates and hematology, especially in the treatment with an enrichment duration of 90 minutes. Therefore, it was concluded that the bio-enrichment of Artemia sp with Sargassum sp extract could improve the survival rate, growth, and immunity profile of white-leg shrimp post larvae.
