    The Internationalization of Higher Education in China: A Case Study of A University

    This study focuses on analyzing the internationalization of higher education in a specific university in China during the 13th Five Year Plan Period (2016-2020). The purpose of the research is to collect, classify, and sort literature related to the topic and discuss the development context and implementation status of higher education internationalization. The study uses document analysis and case interviews to conduct a case study of the university. In the document analysis, university affairs materials, subordinate school data statistics, and other relevant documents are examined to understand the current practice of education internationalization of the university. The study then proposes a development path for the university\u27s internationalization, which includes talent training, faculty members, scientific research, and people-to-people exchange. Overall, the study provides insights into the internationalization of higher education in a specific university in China and presents a potential pathway for the university to enhance its global engagement

    Determinants of Household Saving: A Case Study of Kabul Afghanistan

    Household saving is a source of investment and is regarded as a key factor in economic growth. This study is an effort to examine the determinants of household saving in Kabul, Afghanistan. The several economic and socio-demographic factors that affect household saving have been completely examined in this study. The data were collected through a well-structured questionnaire from 384 households. Through stratified random sampling, 384 household’s heads were interviewed. For statistical investigation we applied Diagnostic test and Generalized Least Square (GLS) methods to our model. It is observed from the estimated result of this study that income is a major and most important determinant of household saving which positively affects the saving of a household. Further, results also reveal that household size has negative and significant relationship with household saving. The educational level of the household head shows a negative impact on household saving. The results further indicate that married household head and male household head are likely to save more as compared to unmarried household head and female household head respectively. Moreover, age of the household head confirms the Life-Cycle-Hypothesis. The results reveal that with the increase in age at middle age of an individual the saving increases, however it decreases at the latter age of life

    Evaluation of the Implementation of K4 Coverage Services at Harapan and Waibu Health Centers in the Jayapura Regency

    Background: K4 coverage (fourth visit) is the number of pregnant women who have received ANC services following the service provisions according to the recommended schedule for each trimester during pregnancy compared to the target number of pregnant women in a work area over a period of one year. According to the profile data from the Jayapura Regency Health Office, the number of K4 visits in 2020 was 69.2% and there was an increase in 2021 of 77.7%, below the provincial target of 95%. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the implementation of K4 coverage services at Harapan Health Center and Waibu Health Center in terms of input, process, output, and external factors. Methods: This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. There were 9 informants in this study consisting of staff from the Health Office, health workers at the Waibu and Harapan Health Centers, and pregnant women from the working areas of each Health Center. Data was collected by in-depth interviews using a list of questions and document study. Result: The results of the research on service inputs for K4 coverage at the Harapan Health Center had no problems, while at the Waibu Health Center there was a lack of human resources, complete and adequate infrastructure, and funding that had not been allocated properly. The process flow for K4 coverage services at the Health Center is appropriate. The output that has not been achieved is due to the uncertainty in predicting the targeting of pregnant women. External factors of geography, demography and support also have an influence on K4 coverage services

    Alteration of Absorption Spectra with Variations in Gold Nanocage Geometries: A Numerical Study

     Nanocages are one of the vastly exploited nanoparticles in photothermal therapy and drug delivery via exciting their localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR). LSPR depends on the nanoparticle shape, size, and orientation. Any alteration in the particle’s geometry can significantly shift its LSPR and can be accompanied by a drop in absorption power. This is a drawback in photothermal-based applications where field intensity and resonance wavelength accuracy determine the treatment efficiency. Nanocages differ from typical solid geometries because they are porous along all the orthogonal axes. Thus, for an optimized response, additional consideration must be given to the effect of their dimensions on the resonance. We examine the absorption of nanocages with various geometric features using full-wave electromagnetic analysis via the commercial software COMSOL. Furthermore, we investigate the spectrum variations of nanocages with multiple aspect ratios and detect their energy distribution in several peaks and the impact of truncated edges on the spectrum. Moreover, for colloidal nanoparticles, we demonstrate the absorption polarization sensitivity of nanocages at random orientations, where particle orientations significantly affect their absorption spectrum. Our study presents a beneficial view regarding geometry effects on metallic nanocages LSPR, which can be utilized for optimizing photothermal response in different biomedical applications

    Topological Model with Adaptive Resolution to Simulate an Incision in Surgery

    Surgical simulation covers a set of very large fields. Medical physics simulation, which aims to virtually reproduce the behavior of organic tissues, tries to stick, as far as possible, with reality. This last field poses many concrete problems currently very incompletely resolved, and the extreme mechanical complexity of living tissues. The mechanical interaction between organs, the large number of different tissues and topologies, make the physical simulation of a human organism totally utopian at the present time. The best scientific results for the moment manage to simulate this or that type of organ, with, in terms of interaction, certain simple operations, such as primitive cutting of organs. These organs are modeled by meshes whose resolution depends on the cutting zone: the mesh associated with this zone must be defined at several scales to extract all or part of the organ considered. In addition, taking into account any cuts previously made in the vicinity of the zone considered remains an open problem that needs to be resolved. It leads to modifications of the topological model associated with the mesh. Our study therefore focuses on the adaptive resolution subdivision of triangles and tetrahedra in a mesh. Operations must preserve mesh consistency and must be robust. We propose a topology-based model that meets this need. We define and implement adaptive resolution subdivision operations in a triangular and tetrahedral mesh

    A Proposed Framework for the Use of Biological Control Agents for a Cacao Pest

    An industry study on cacao considers the Philippines as a minor player in the global cacao trade and is not properly positioned to take advantage of the surge in demand. Domestic production dived in the 1990s despite pump-priming initiatives. It should also be noted that farmer awareness of the economic potential of cacao is very low, with very few engaged in cultivation due to various difficulties, among these problems mainly considered are the high costs of insecticides and pesticides and the prevalence of pests. This paper provides a framework by which a biological control agent for the cacao pest could be designed so that farmers may eventually lessen their dependence on expensive and chemically based pesticides and insecticides and rely on the natural relationships of predator and prey available in nature. Although many studies suggest that the Asian Weaver Ant Oecophylla smaragdina Fabricius is a predator of arthropods, among them the mirid bug and cacao pest Helopeltis bakeri Poppius, this assertion needs to be further supported by substantial evidence that clearly shows that such ant has available predatory properties against this specific prey. This procedure is very important especially if the farmer’s welfare is hinged on the idea of using biological control. It should then be proposed that a systematic and logical implementation of the demonstration of O. smaragdina’s properties as a possible biological control agent for the cacao pest H. bakeri be established

    Image Meat Classification Using Deep Learning Approach

    In many countries meat is one of the most popular food in the world, but not all kind of meat can be consumed by most people such as pork for muslim and jewish also beef, pork and mutton tend to have several similar characteristics, namely color and texture, this can create confusion in distinguishing the three types of meat when see it by naked eye, therefore we need a system that can help identify the type of meat. In this study the authors used CNN-based Deep Learning approached with pre-defined architecture ResNet50 and ResTet101 combined with transfer learning techniques, the authors also used several types of hyperparameters including learning rate, momentum and epoch to see the effect of these hyperparameter values on the performance of deep learning model, the results of this study show that ResNet50 can outperformed ResNet101 by producing less loss and by 1 % more in F1 score with 95.96% F1 score 95.96% precision and 95.96% recall. In addition the momentum of 0.3 in both architectures has the tendency to produce high loss with a low F1 score, while for a learning rate of 0.0001 on both ResNet50 and ResNet101 architectures also has a tendency to produce high loss and a low F1 score, optimal hyperparameter values range of learning rate is between of 0.001 to 0.01 and 0.6 - 0.9 for momentum

The challenge is in stimulating, accessing, teaching, or developing such capacity in those persons. However, in many educational settings, innovation is actively discouraged. Students\u27 talents deteriorated as they advanced from middle to high school. Some people can regain their creative powers, while others are doomed to lack them for the rest of their lives. Similarly, physical fitness benefits everyone, regardless of athletic ability. Creativity, regardless of the degree of creativity present in a person, is seen to aid all who may confront serious future obstacles. Teachers who understand what defines creative achievement and who use that knowledge to establish high objectives for themselves and their peers may benefit students of all ability levels. As a result, the purpose of this study is to present a creative problem solving (CPS) model as a resource for developing students\u27 creative thinking

    This research aims to find out the internal factors that are the strengths and weaknesses in the gambier processing business, to find out the external factors that become opportunities and threats to the gambier processing business and to find out the strategies that are implemented in gambier processing in Nagari Talang Maur, Mungka Subdistrict, Limapuluh Kota Regency in running the gambier business.  This research was carried out in June-October 2022 at the gambier processing business of Nagari Talang Maur, Mungka Subdistrict, Limapuluh Kota Regency. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative data analysis using SWOT analysis. The results of the study show that the strategy that can be applied by this gambier processing business is an aggressive strategy. Strategies that support this aggressive policy growth can be carried out with intensive strategies by implementing market penetration and market development strategies
