    A Systematic Review of Factors Affecting Students\u27 Satisfaction with Student Affairs Management System (SAMS) in Private Universities: Insights from Xi\u27an, China

    This systematic review examines the factors influencing students\u27 satisfaction with the Student Affairs Management System (SAMS) in private universities in Xi\u27an, China. It analyzes individual factors (trust, respect for expertise, and student involvement) and organizational factors (institutional support and culture) that impact students\u27 satisfaction with SAMS. The review also explores students\u27 perceptions of challenges faced at private higher education institutes (HEIs) in Xi\u27an. Additionally, it investigates the influence of cross-functional collaboration on the relationship between individual and organizational factors. SAMS service quality is assessed based on attributes such as tangibility, responsiveness, safety, reliability, and empathy. To conduct this review, a systematic approach is employed, involving a comprehensive search and analysis of relevant literature. Various academic databases are searched, and rigorous inclusion and exclusion criteria are applied to select high-quality articles for review. Data extraction and synthesis techniques are utilized to identify key themes, trends, and research gaps. Through this critical evaluation of existing literature, the review contributes to a better understanding of the factors influencing students\u27 satisfaction with SAMS in private universities in Xi\u27an. The findings of this review provide valuable insights for policy makers, management experts, and educational institutions aiming to enhance student growth and engagement. The results inform evidence-based decision-making and facilitate the development of strategies and interventions to improve the effectiveness and satisfaction of student affairs management systems in private universities. Furthermore, the review identifies areas for future research, suggesting potential avenues for scholars to further explore this important subject.

    This article resulting from the synthesis of the work of the end of the university cycle aims to make a deep knowledge of effectiveness of contribution of the projects carried out by PNA in the promotion of food security in the Tambaki grouping. The farmers in this group had been selected for this study because they benefited from PNA interventions. For this purpose, the beneficiaries have proven in very concrete terms that the interventions of the National Food Program provide a practical and effective solution in improving the agricultural production system. This has allowed an increase in agricultural productivity. The government should redefine its policy to secure humanitarian workers who come to the aid of vulnerable populations

    Study to Investigate Variation of California Bearing Ratios of Soil Materials with Changes of Soaking Duration

    The study was conducted to investigate variation of CBR values with soaking duration. Four sample materials were used for laboratory tests which are cinder and natural pozzolan from Ituha borrow pit, clay soil from Mlimanyoka borrow pit in Mbeya region and then the three source materials were blended together to obtain a fourth sample materials. Characterizations of soil materials were conducted including maximum dry densities (MDD) and optimum moisture contents (OMC) were determined. The results for MDD and OMC for the four soil samples are 1680kg/m3 and 13.2% for cinder, 1543kg/m3 and 19.5% for natural pozzolan, 1524kg/m3 and 23.4% for clay and 1642kg/m3 and 15.6% for blended sample  respectively. The variation of California bearing ratios (CBR) for four soil samples were determined. The CBR values of sample materials were determined for unsoaked samples, 4 days, 8 days and 12 days soaking duration. The results of CBR values at 95%MDD for the four samples soaked for four days are 16.5% for cinder, 23% for natural pozzolan, 4.8% for clay soils and 27.4% for the blended sample. The results indicated that there are exponential decrease of CBR values with increasing soaking duration to the residual values after fully saturation of soil sample. The high CBR values of blended sample enhanced by interlocking and friction properties of the mixtures and addition of clay which act as binder to none plastic soils. It is important to determine CBR values at longer soaking duration than 4 days whenever the soil materials are to be used in areas with high water tables and frequent rainfalls. For easy estimation of CBR values for a particular soaking time, an equation has been developed, which will reduce time for laboratory works to determine CBR values at longer soaking duration

    Effect of Thickness and Temperature Variations on Some Structural, Optical and Electrical Properties of Electron Beam Deposited CdS Thin Films

    Thin films of cadmium sulfide (CdS) by electron beam deposition on glass substrate. The structure of the films was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The CdS films were found to be crystalline and hexagonal with the c-axis perpendicular to the substrate. Annealing in air at 4000C greatly improved the crystallinity of the films as well as increasing their grain size. The optical properties of the films have been studied by transmission/reflection spectroscopy. The CdS films had optical bandgaps in the range 2.35-2.42 eV, which were dependent on the film thickness as well as on temperature. A reduction in the bandgap was also noticed for the annealed films. In addition, the single-effective oscillator parameters have been evaluated and their dependence upon film thickness discussed.  From d.c. electrical conductivity measurements it was found that the conductivity of the CdS films is a function of the thickness of the film, increasing with the thicker films. The electrical conductivity is greatly improved when the film is air-annealed. From values of the activation energy of conduction it was concluded that conduction is dominated by states close to the conduction band

    COVID-19 Impact on Saudi Healthcare Workers’ Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices

    In December 2019, Chinese authorities in the city of Wuhan reported the discovery of a new infectious disease spread by a beta coronavirus. Since the discovery of the first case, COVID-19 has had a global impact in almost every country around the world, resulting in more than 698 million cases and close to 7 million deaths (20). Saudi Arabia was one of the most impacted Middle East countries by COVID-19 having more than 800,000 cases and nearly 10,000 deaths (20). Healthcare workers’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices concerning COVID-19 were some of the key factors that were attributed to its rapid spread and prevention across many countries around the world. This literature review will discuss the COVID-19 impact on Saudi healthcare worker\u27s knowledge, attitude, and practices (KAP).Healthcare workers especially those working in the frontline needed comprehensive information and training on coronavirus to effectively protect themselves from the disease. It was through creating awareness and training on the disease that the Saudi healthcare system was able to promote KAP among its workers to effectively cometbat the spread of the disease (16).In conclusion, the literature review discussed various studies touching on the impacts of knowledge, attitude, and practices among healthcare workers in Saudi Arabia during the COVID-19 pandemic

    Early Detection and Diagnosis of Chronic Kidney and Breast Cancer Using Multi-level Machine Learning: A Hybrid Prediction Model

    In this study, a multilevel machine learning approach is proposed for the early detection and diagnosis of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and breast cancer. The proposed hybrid prediction model uses a combination of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques, including Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and random forest algorithms, to improve the early detection and diagnosis of these diseases. The model also includes a feature selection process to extract the most relevant features from the data. The performance of the proposed model was evaluated on a dataset of patient information and compared with other machine learning models and traditional diagnostic methods. The results show that the proposed model outperforms traditional diagnostic methods and other machine learning models in terms of accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity in the early detection and diagnosis of CKD and breast cancer. The proposed multilevel machine learning approach provides an effective way to improve the early detection and diagnosis of CKD and breast cancer and has the potential to be used in clinical practice to improve patient outcomes

    Application of Automatic Yarn Winder to Improve Productivity in Balinese Traditional Weaving Businesses

    Weaving is a fabric craft made by combining threads crosswise and lengthwise. Before carrying out the weaving process, the winding thread process is usually carried out. However, one of the weaving artisans from Jembrana Regency still does the thread-winding process manually. Winding yarn with a manual tool takes quite a long time. The results of the yarn spools are not neat and cause physical complaints. Therefore, an automatic yarn winder innovation was created. Automated yarn winders can help weavers by providing convenience in the yarn winding process through the technology offered, namely the use of DC motors, Arduino nano, BTS7960 motor drivers, keypads, and LCDs. By providing these solutions and conveniences, cagcag weaving artisans can carry out the winding thread process more quickly, the results of thread rolls are tidier, and they can eliminate physical complaints they experience. Through the application of this tool, the productivity of traditional cagcag weaving artisans has increased

    Comparison of Student Achievement in Teaching Analytic Geometry of Planes and Space Using GeoGebra and PowerPoint Media at STKIP Abdi Wacana in Semester VI of the Academic Year 2021/2022 in Wamena

    The research examines the comparison of student learning achievement on the topic of analytic geometry of planes and spaces, which is taught using two different learning media, namely GeoGebra and PowerPoint media. This experimental research used two different experimental classes, each consisting of 14 and 15 students. The research design used is a counterbalance design because even though students\u27 initial knowledge is homogeneous, there are still many other variables that affect the process and learning outcomes, which cannot be controlled and are not homogeneous. The research data used were pre-test and post-test scores for each treatment, which were then processed to obtain normalized gain data. Data processing was carried out using SPSS software and was preceded by an analysis of homogeneity tests and normality tests. Based on the Wilcoxon Signed Test, it is clear that the two learning media are able to improve student learning outcomes. The paired samples test is used to compare the learning outcomes of the two learning models. The results showed that learning using GeoGebra media gave higher learning outcomes compared to using PowerPoint media. The average normalized gain difference between the two media is 0.34

    Identifying the Gap in User Satisfaction Assessment from Different Perspectives in Public Institutional Buildings

    The building is a place that is responsible for meeting its users\u27 needs and expectations, and offering them a safe and comfortable environment. Many researchers focus on evaluating the user satisfaction level in different Building Performance Levels (BPLs). However, measuring the end-user satisfaction is not an indicator of the importance of the BPLs and its attributes to the end-users. This paper aims to identify the gap between the importance of different performance levels from the user\u27s and the architect\u27s perspective, and the frequency of their application in scientific research. Two surveys were conducted to 172 architects and end-users. Then, a structured review highlights the frequency of applying user satisfaction assessment in each BPLs. The results showed that the gap between the architect and the end-users in identifying the importance of each performance level in building is low not exceeding 12% in any performance level, but there is a clear gap in research related to measuring user satisfaction in the functional, technical, and aesthetic performances by (38%), (39%), (12%) respectively, compared to their importance in affecting the level of user satisfaction in buildings
